Deletion of D. Ray Heisey

Dear Colleague, You have deleted D. Ray Heisey for copyright infringment. I wish you gave us enough time to remove the copyrighted material. Would it be possible to give me that opportunity? — Esmatly (talk) 04:47, 19 July 2015 (UTC)

Dear RHaworth, it seems an intercultural misunderstanding has happened. I am Iranian and it is not uncommon for the Iranians to use "us" to refer to "me." And, I am a real person; I teach media studies and I do not represent any corporation. By first message, I meant to ask you to restore the page, so I could remove the copyrighted material, which was not inserted by me.Esmatly (talk) 20:06, 19 July 2015 (UTC)

The text was corrected and emailed back to you. Please help us restore the page, and we will work further on it.Esmatly (talk) 13:12, 1 August 2015 (UTC)

CompanyDude test Templates

Could you please revert the deletion of the two draft templates that are listed User:CompanyDude/Templates. They have no notability because they are drafts. Thanks --The Man Of Companies... CompanyDude (talk) 19:39, 19 July 2015 (UTC)

The KratOS Operating System is not my operating system and also revert the KAS article —–The Man Of Companies... CompanyDude (talk) 16:13, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

Wait! Do you have any buisness deleting a user's sandbox articles? [Yes, they are sandboxes] and I'll re-create the KAS sandbox article --The Man Of Companies... CompanyDude (talk) 16:17, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

Europe Prize

Hi Roger, May I put up a defence of my use of the material appearing on this draft page, recently deleted by you? Draft:Europe Prize. The Council of Europe, the 47-nation international organisation for whom I work, allows the material on its websites to be used in accordance with this policy: http://www.coe.int/en/web/portal/disclaimer

That states that reproduction of material posted on Council of Europe websites is authorised for "informational and educational uses relating to the Council of Europe’s work", subject to the condition that the source be indicated and no charge made for reproduction. Both conditions are fulfilled in this case, and therefore I submit that my draft entry is fully in line with Wikipedia's guidelines. (It's not directly relevant here, but - for info - the CoE page that I quote from was actually drafted by me!). Many thanks for considering these points and, if you consider it appropriate, re-posting my draft. Regards, GAKM GAKM (talk) 14:49, 24 July 2015 (UTC)

  • If the CoE want to release their text, they should use a standard licence such as Creative Commons instead of making up their own. But looking at their policy, I see a "non-commercial" clause which is unacceptable here. You can ask at WT:CP but you will probably get the same answer. In any case: a) it is an insult to fob Wikipedia off with second-hand text. All text should be written from scratch with Wikipedia in mind. And b) it would be better if you left it to someone with less COI than yourself. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 09:20, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for the reply. May I have my text back so that I may re-work it along the lines you propose? GAKM (talk) 16:44, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

Another variation - do I keep just hitting Db-repost. — Peter Rehse (talk) 16:24, 24 July 2015 (UTC)

  • Please link to an article when you talk about it and, when you apply a {{db-repost}} tag, link to the relevant deletion discussion. To answer your your question, sadly yes: just keep hitting it. The author keeps creating new accounts and new titles. The only solution might be to launch a sock puppet investigation with a view to an IP block but the author is probably clever enough to switch IP addresses. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 09:20, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

Nalle Colt - page deletion

Hi there, I am writing in regards to the page for Nalle Colte which you deleted. Would you mind sending me the text of the page that was deleted? Do you have any specific feedback on how you'd like to see the entry improved? Thank you for your consideration, Sam — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sambres8 (talkcontribs)

Hey, It's Me Again

Have I been useful enough to get my Russian Hamster Cabal back? If not, will you let me know when I have been? Thank you very much. YoSoyUnHamster (talk) 21:59, 24 July 2015 (UTC)

Number one, it's not okay to insult people, and number two, you said I could get them back when "30% of my edits [were] useful". Your behavior towards me is making me wish I'd never joined Wikipedia in the first place, and if you don't cut it out, I'll leave forever. Trust me, you want me here. Please be nice. YoSoyUnHamster (talk) 21:58, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

Also, all I want is to just have them restored back into my userspace. Nothing too fancy. Why is this such a big deal? YoSoyUnHamster (talk) 22:05, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

TablEdit and TEFview

Hi Roger, I hope you can help me. Two wiki pages that I created were slated for quick deletion and were deleted before I had a chance to find out what was going on, let alone respond. First, I am not sure if my e-mail option in Wikipedia is set to "enable e-mail from other users". Just in case, my e-mail address is <redacted> and I will try to make sure that option is enabled...

I am writing to you regarding the pages TablEdit Tablature Editor and TEFview. I would like to know what it would take to get the pages restored and what I would have to do with them to ensure that they meet the criteria to remain on Wikipedia. Thank you in advance for your assistance. Keith. Kgsaturn (talk) 18:58, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

As you might imagine, I do believe that they are notable, each was one of the earliest application in its area, and both widely adopted. Writers for a number of publishers, including Mel Bay use TablEdit for preparing their manuscripts for publishing, instructors around the world use TablEdit and TEFview as tools for delivering instructional material to their students, and many notable musicians use them to document their work. Also, it's been pointed out to me that TablEdit is the only application on list of guitar tablature software that has had it's page removed. Even the obsolete G7 and MusEdit (which has been out of print and abandoned by it's author) remain. I do not mean to suggest that TablEdit was singled out, but rather to point out that it is more relevant than other applications that remain. I ask you to reconsider the deletion of the pages and maybe we can find somebody who is familiar with the application, but without a vested interest to edit and update the page(s) accordingly. Kgsaturn (talk) 22:01, 3 August 2015 (UTC)

  • Hi Roger, I have just noticed that the pages devoted to 'TablEdit' the guitar tablature software and 'TefView' the TablEdit file player appear to have been deleted. This seems very odd indeed as TablEdit is one of the top guitar tablature notation programs alongside Guitar Pro which does still have its own page.
I am a user of TablEdit (and Guitar Pro, Power Tab, and many other notation programs) and I find the software meets my requirements for the production of guitar tablature better than all the others (despite having around 20 such programs currently on my desktop). It has been in existence longer than most of the programs on the market and is used by thousands of players across the world, not just for guitar but for banjo, dulcimer, harmonica and many other acoustic instruments. Please do check out Google to see how high it is in the rankings when one searches for "Guitar Tablature Software" and also sites such as my website and Banjo Hangout which has a huge library comprising mainly TablEdit arrangements and compositions. Please note, I have no connection with the software and its development other than being a very satisfied user and consequently certainly have no COI. Could I please request that the TablEdit and TefView pages is reinstated as soon as is possible. Many thanks. Steve J. McWilliam — Preceding unsigned comment added by SteveMcBill (talkcontribs) 20:36, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
  • Thanks Roger - very much appreciated. If it is OK with you I will contact Keith Saturn (from TablEdit) and ask him to put the pages back up - I would think he would already have the text and images from the previous pages. I will then add some independent evidence and also request a few friends who also use the software to do likewise. As to why no one had posted corroborative evidence in 9 years I have no answer except perhaps to speculate that it was because they were so 'happy' with the products. I know I have visited the pages often and I have never posted such as I didn't realise it was a requirement to maintain their presence. Cheers, and 'thank you' once again. Steve J. Heads up

User reuploading copyright images you deleted yesterday. Hi I thought you may be interested in this:-

All were uploaded by Angelo542, with other copyright violation images which you also deleted.Angelo542 has now reuploaded two of them, plus a third, with a Public Domain licence under a claim of Uploading a file from a free published source. Having again checked these images they are all copyright, with no evidence of ever being a free published source.

I note there is a query, on his [Page] from Catfish as to if or not he has had permission to upload the File:Duncanclancrest.gif from the copyright holder:- http://www.clan-duncan.co.uk/duncan-crest-badge.html

Comment: Now we have a new twist on the copyright image uploads. He has now created a 'Clan Duncan community' Facebook account, copied the images to that and then reuploaded them to Wikipedia as Public domain free use images from there.

This person is certainly creating an impression of having no intention of editing wikipedia, with concensus or within the ethics of the project. Richard Harvey (talk) 20:49, 26 July 2015 (UTC)

Angelo542 has again used these images on the Clan Duncan article to replace others. He appears to be using the article as a soapbox to promote his own claims and preferences about the Clan Duncan. On the Talk:Clan Duncan he was warned about using the article as a soapbox, plus a warning on using a sockpuppet 195.11.166.194 to augment his edits, yet has removed his promotional claim, along with my warnings, which I then replaced, only to find it removed again by him using another Anon IP 89.240.253.93. I have reinstated it with a warning he may be blocked if he continues to remove it. Additionally he has deleted edit warring warnings, by Jmorrison230582 from his own talk page.

He appears to have uploaded blog and commercial sales links as references, in which he may possibly have an interest:- https://www.pinterest.com/txirishmp83/duncan/

I have a bad feeling about the way this editor is going, especially if other Clan Duncan members prefer to have the article promoting their interpretation of issues. Richard Harvey (talk) 19:14, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

Dear Richard Harvey. I am new to Wikipedia yes however I am still learning to how to apply edits.

I will say to you sir, I am not using Wikipedia to promote my (own) belief's at all. I am reversing back changes done by a successful fraud. The images I have uploaded are free to the public here in Scotland and are found in multiple retailers across the world, I myself used the clan crest to make my own products. As I have been told the clan crest dose not belong to anyone however I am not creating my own website just to get a copyright on my own Image that is freely used throughout Scotland

The reason I have used commercial sites as tags is to prove that the images are actually the official images for the clan. Mr John Duncan has already been involved in heated debates here in Scotland due to his lack of respect for the Duncan Clan and his self-righteous attitude as a leader. Mr J Duncan has attempted to gain enough support to become the Duncan Clan leader however he has been (refused officially). Mr J Duncan has abused his power and position and created multiple websites to apply his own insignia to an entire Clan.

You are clearly not from Scotland so have not encountered J Duncan or myself at any clan meets. As a member of the Duncan clan and a member of the public I will not stand by and allow false claims on Wikipedia or false insignia. If you would like to advise me on what exactly I need to do to apply the real Crest, motto ect without having any problems then that would be helpful. Removing my images will not stop me from applying the correct insignia to The clan profile here on Wikipedia. Angelo542, I will leave it to someone else to block you for your edit to Clan Duncan but if I see any more copyvio image uploads, I will block you again. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:47, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

Producer James Worthy

RHaworth, I recently created a page Draft:Producer James Worthy. I am very new to Wiki so please forgive me, I have been trying to figure out how to provide a link to the article. I am asking for the article to be undeleted. First, the biography that seemed to have been taken from Reverbnation is his official biography, and is expected for wide use and was written by James Worthy. Second, at this time, after speaking to Mr. Worthy, I am prepared to re-write the biography so it does not read exactly like the one on Reverbnation or any other site that it is currently on. Please recover the page so I can repair the problem. I would hate to have to start from scratch. Thank you so much for any help you can provide in this matter. CValrie (talk) 19:55, 26 July 2015 (UTC) CValrie

  • How to provide a link - was it really too difficult for you to put [[]] around the title? Text has been emailed but I ask you and your team to have the decency to wait until someone with no COI thinks the guy is notable and writes about him here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:47, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

Draft: H. Paul Prigg

RHaworth, Thank you for reinstating my draft: H. Paul Prigg. Also thank you for telling me about 0 chances of acceptance without good references. Mr. Prigg was an off shore speed boat racer on the Atlantic seaboard from the 1920's and 1930's. I have actual (not copies) of newspaper articles about his accomplishments, however some are documented with the name of the newspaper and not the date (only the year) and some are documented with the date and not the newspaper name. I've looked on the newspaper(s) website but nothing comes up that far back. Any suggestions on how others have been successful in referencing this long ago? Thank you! And by the way, I don't think you are a grumpy old man. Sounds like you just want to get it right. nancyprancy12 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nancyprancy12 (talkcontribs)

  • Please learn how to create links and to sign talk page messages. So scan an article and post it to a website whose domain name gives no hint of COI - like this. Then apply OCR to the image, format it as a pretty bit of HTML and post that to the web like this. Google can do its own OCR but it does not harm to help Google so that it will index the page like this. Then use it in your article like this. In fact that article uses at least eight external resources that I created. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 19:57, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

Can you delete this entry "12:51, July 27, 2015‎ KAVEBEAR (talk | contribs)‎ . . (28 bytes) (+28)‎ . . (←Redirected page to Cyprien Liausu)" from the revision history of Chrysostome Liausu. -- KAVEBEAR (talk) 22:22, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

It may be because they went ahead and started an article for Chrysostome Liausu and the exact edit they're referring to is this (19:51, July 27, 2015). SwisterTwister talk 19:30, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

Seeds of Death: Unveiling the Lies of GMOs

Dear RHaworth, my reply to your remark: No, the trimming was not accidental. Please explain why it is so important that the heading of this section matches the article under discussion. I repeat, try DRV. — RHaworth (talk • contribs) 19:26, 20 July 2015 (UTC)

OK, well simple answer really. I wasn't saying that is was so important or anything. But since you mention it, I do think that the correct article heading is important as there is a book of a similar title. As discussions of this nature are open for other members to contribute to, I believe that passers by will see the title easier. Tuesday might not

I think you were mistaken to delete my Tuesdaymight user page. With all due respect, I know you are a busy contributor doing lots of good work on this encyclopedia. My user page was accused of being "unambiguously promotional", which I insist it wasn't. I just started it today, with one sentence, and one link to a website -- a website that was new to me, and one that I think might be a useful tool for an editor, because I think it searches books through "google books". But it was deemed so "urgent" that my user page be removed that I didn't even have time to defend it -- as I was encouraged to do by the "tag" or by the deletion process. (I wrote a defense of the page -- but I typed too slowly I guess, because as I was responding -- it disappeared.) I have searched Wikipedia articles to find some explanation for what you did, but I can't find it anywhere. So in other words I think my user page was defensible. To conclude: this isn't exactly urgent. I don't need to have a "user page". But I thought I should mention this to you -- in case I might be right, and it might be helpful for somebody to point this out to you. My suggestion would be for administrators such as yourself to slow down and be a bit considerate and deliberate -- because you can be a bit scary to someone who's just trying to start out a user page -- and avoid mistakes. Wikipedia doesn't need to be scaring away editors.

(As I write this I see you have posted a box above to warn editors that you get annoyed when people don't leave a link to an article that is being referred to -- but please understand: I have no article -- you deleted it.) — Tuesdaymight (talk) 18:27, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

  • You are too long winded. I love the confusion: you say "I have no article -- you deleted it" but what do we see immediately after those words? A link in valid format to the page about which you are talking and which still worked before I restored it! I agree - deletion was unnecessary. Restored and blanked. Please work on it offline or in User:Tuesdaymight/sandbox until it actually looks like a user page. I do not blame Gparyani (talk · contribs) for tagging it for deletion. Both he and I create a first impression of a page with a defocussed view. If it does not form right pattern, we are biassed against it before we read a single word. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:43, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

So … let me see if I understand what you just said: You erroneously deleted a user page, and the reason the mistake happened is because of “bias”. And you approve of the “bias” you also find in your fellow editor, Gparyani, which led to a similar mistake, of which he was the cause. And if I want to create a user page that won’t be deleted, it appears that I need to “second guess” what a self-described biased and error-prone editor (like yourself) might approve of because he has no intention of avoiding the mistakes he has previously made?

Did I get that right? If so, that is incredibly cynical. Bias has no place here — yet you seem to brag about it. You present yourself and Gparyani (talk · contribs) like the “outlaw editors” of Wikipedia. What ever happened to that younger and more innocent RHworth, who dreamed he might one day become an administrator? What have you done with him? We want him back. I do think there’s room for improvment in your behavior. You had no right to blank my page -- so what did you do with the content that you deleted? Can I have it back? Tuesdaymight (talk) 13:33, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

  • You are hopelessly long winded. Did you see the words "restored and blanked"? Instead of moaning, I suggest you learn some wiki basics like how to read an edit history. No need to second guess. There are thousands of user pages which no-one would think of deleting and which should give you ideas. Here are two at which I have looked recently: user:YoSoyUnHamster and user:Pigsonthewing. Basically, do not launch your user page until it is a lot more substantial. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:09, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

Hello. I don't know why exactly you bothered to speedy delete something already in AfD, but okay, you did. The problem was, you deleted it under claims of it being a hoax. Not so. A simple Google search would've proven otherwise. I was going to provide an external link to prove it, but it was in AfD by the time I realized I probably should, and by then I doubted I should even bother.

I don't know why you assume I would spend about 16 hours creating a "blatant hoax", at the expense of my free time and sleep, when I did in fact have better things to do, but I haven't been exposed to many hoaxes here. Actually, I haven't been exposed to any.

I'm not really asking for it to be restored. I'm not even sure if I want to even ask for my code back, which took me a hell of a time cross-checking times and such to live up to proper standards.

I am just simply stating, really, that the delete was unnecessary and wrong, and not in a faux moral sense.

Okay, I do want my code back. Hell if I don't have something to show for it, somewhat. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Megalandrys (talkcontribs) 02:08, 3 August 2015 (UTC)

Deletion of Fundamental Principles page

Dear RHaworth, I could see that you deleted our page on the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. I believe this is a misunderstanding of the purpose we are trying to achieve with this page. In fact, I noticed that currently there is no page on Wikipedia for the Red Cross and Red Crescent Fundamental Principles and wanted to create one to have this vital information on the platform. The Red Cross and Red Crescent Fundamental Principles have standard definitions, as reported on my page and correctly referenced in my 'reference section', therefore it may seem the page is breaking copy-rights of the page you mentioned, but in fact, that is not what is happening as we (Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement) reference all the principles in the same way using the same wording.

We (at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Society) would be very glad if the page could be activated again so that all users can use its valuable content. Many thanks for understanding and please be in touch if further clarification is required. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LaPedrazza (talkcontribs) 09:04, 3 August 2015 (UTC)

(talk page stalker)Yes, it is against Wikipedia article to create "articles" about businesses which are not notable, "articles" which are clearly promotional in purpose, "articles" which consist of the equivalent of a directory listing, "articles" about yourself, your company, and other matters in which you have a conflict of interest. And it was never "our company's wiki page": it was a purported article in an encyclopedia, and thus belonged to Wikipedia, not to your company in any way. It should be noted that three respected editors here have deleted these little spamming efforts of yours. --Orange Mike | Talk 17:52, 4 August 2015 (UTC)

Regarding American Traffic Signal Company

Hello, You deleted a page a long while ago on the grounds of 'this class is really gay and i hate it bcz it pisses me off'. Is it possible you can restore the page, since that deletion reason is kinda bigotous. The page: American Traffic Signal Company. — Binhash (talk) 18:22, 4 August 2015 (UTC)

That user has FOUR edits. Guess who he is? Ogress smash! 18:35, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
FYI, I have blocked the user as NOTHERE, given the above, and previous two edits. Abecedare (talk) 19:07, 4 August 2015 (UTC)

ConsensusDocs

Mr. Haworth, You have deleted ConsensusDOCS for copyright infringement and advertisement. I humbly ask that you give me enough time to remove the copyrighted material (I believe it was one citation), and any other material that you have issue. I believe the listing of the contracts was considered advertisement? However, I believe the first few sections merely stated facts about the company. Would it be possible for you to give me an opportunity correct? Thank you for your time. § — John — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ctroutdocs (talkcontribs) 14:33, 5 August 2015 (UTC)

Why was this page deleted!? I think this article is notable. § — Jorhowar (talk) 12:58, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

Mr. Haworth. I waited and it looks like a comment was posted. May I fix the page now to make it in compliance? —Ctroutdocs (talk) 13:15, 10 August 2015 (UTC) Ctroutdocs

Mr. Haworth. I have no idea, but someone did comment. It wasn't me or anyone I spoke to. The wiki page is about a company that is in the construction law industry. There are thousands of people who do contract business using the company's contracts. I am now confused on what your requirements are. Who are you waiting for post on this page to say it is a notable article? Are you saying they need to be a member of Wikipedia, or this forum? Are you saying you need verification via some third party resource? There are several construction and law magazine articles which write about ConsnesusDOCS. Also, I did see in Wikipedia's policy of an absolute ban of anyone due to COI. Please take another look at the ConsensusDOCs page. The first half of the wiki page is just facts about the company. The second half has a list of contracts they have. I believe the second part is what the problem is. I would very much like to resolve the issue related to this page. Please reconsider sending/unblocking the page for edits. Also, please let me know what steps I can take. Ctroutdocs (talk) 15:32, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

  • If you have no idea where the comment was posted, then I shall assume it is in your imagination only. A very telling remark: "need to be a member of Wikipedia". Please tell me your definition of "being a member of Wikipedia" because I get the feeling that you do not consider yourself one. The best I can offer is that you follow this advice. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:59, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

I misspoke on the where question, as I thought you saw the comment made by §Jorhowar above. See above? It was posted several days ago. What is telling about my remark? I was referring to the log-in feature that Wikipedia has. Member was the incorrect term. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ctroutdocs (talkcontribs) 18:05, 10 August 2015 (UTC) Ctroutdocs (talk) 18:07, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

  • Now I am being blamed for that? I have no idea. I've been patient and respectful. I am simply asking for the article to be sent to me. I don't understand why an entire wiki page was deleted for "marketing" and no time was given to be corrected. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ctroutdocs (talkcontribs) 19:46, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

Can you please provide me the article matter that has been deleted. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sastexk (talkcontribs) 17:14, 5 August 2015 (UTC)

Why? -- Бучач-Львів (talk) 08:48, 6 August 2015 (UTC)

Why have you deleted Mezhyrich (disambiguation)? -- Бучач-Львів (talk) 12:23, 6 August 2015 (UTC)

  • Disambiguation pages are only required for three or more items. In this case when you create the Mezhyrich, Ostroh Raion article you will add an hat note saying: and vice versa. Look at the source code of this message for the use of the {{for}} template.RHaworth (talk · contribs) 09:31, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

regarding IPAB

As I woyuld like tio speak to you regarding deletion of page concerning to IPAB a appe;llate Authority established under Indian Stautory laws in India. This appellate authority primarily established to deal with matters concerning to trademarks, gegraphical indiactions, patents, appeal enamating from Regisrrar orders and one can file rectification petition directly to the IPAB for removal of registration certificate of trademarks, gegraphical indiactions to individual or company including revocation pof patents. The status of IPAB is equivalent to TTAAB of USA.

As the information of this institution or govermental body is not avaliable in WIKI so one of the lawyer had tried to put this information to add in WIKI page, may be that person did not have requisite expertise of adding the information on page , hence full information could not be added on WIKI as I am presently working as member to adjudicate matters by this body so being policy forbids to add the information in WIKi though i have added exixtence of many tribunalsin indian agencies page. wherein all tribunal working in India are been added but being working in the said goverment organ it was not appropriate to add informatiuon on IPAB.

As adding information or making a page requires technical expertise, so i would request you to please add the information regarding IPAB of Inda as this is primer Tribunal which is adjudicatory body in India and it's information is important in the indian context as well as for other netziens of the other countries. I am pasting the address of the website of IPAB http://www.ipabindia.in/ for your prusal. Thanks, sanjeev chaswal. • You are far too long winded. Please try to write fewer words but in better English. Please read this. However I think you are trying to tell me that you have a CoI and therefore do not intend to contribute to Wikipedia - excellent attitude, I wish that everybody with a CoI took the same view. Therefore I will talk to you. There is an IPAB article but it appears to have nothing to do with what you are talking about. So you need to provide me with a proper link to the deleted article, or as some pedants insist, to the place where the article used to be and where the deletion log entry can now be seen. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:27, 8 August 2015 (UTC)

Luis Alfredo Alfaro

I am actually a new user in Wikipedia, I have been writing a biography, some hours ago, I requested help to this contact page regarding an issue of getting rid of the username in the title of the page. I would not like the others have access to the login section. However, it takes by surprise that this page was deleted. I do not know the exact reasons, but I am trying to fix the problems. The page is still in the process and I have not completely work all the details. Could you please help me to recover the page: the username is: Luislaaglobal. — Luislaaglobal (talk) 08:22, 8 August 2015 (UTC)

Deletion of Junk Pages

Hi RHaworth; You've just deleted my page De la Marck: Sandbox2 - thanks. I made a big mess trying to create a second sandbox page, and that was one of my discards. I thought I'd ask you, as an Elder user, what I'm really meant to be doing here - how am I able to make a second space (at present I've just got User:De la Marck/sandbox2) and am I able to delete unwanton pages myself? Thanks, Le Sanglier des Ardennes (talk) 04:21, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

  • "Unwanton" - lovely word but not in the dictionary and not in this context! Try "unwanted". You may create as many pages as you like with names starting [[User:De la Marck/. If they have generic names like sandbox, then don't bother to delete, just blank them and then recycle. If you actually want to delete, stick {{db-user}} at the top and an admin will delete it soon without quibble. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:17, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

Speedied redirects

You've just processed speedy deletion on a number of redirects (Z word, D word, E word, Animal Evolution) which were under discussion at RfD. They were flagged by Josu4u with nonsensical criteria, notably {{db-vandalism}} which they are not, and WP:A1 which does not apply to redirects. I realize that these could simply be recreated based on the outcome at RfD if desired by consensus, but preemptively deleting them seems to unnecessarily bias those discussions, and I can't determine why. Would you mind restoring those redirects, or explaining at RfD why they were deleted? Ivanvector 🍁 (talk) 20:03, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

Diaoyu Islands

Hello,

I will try to offer all the information you may need; please bear with me as I am not sure if my formatting is correct.

My message is regarding the following page: https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=DIAOYU_ISLANDS_-_The_Truth&action=edit&redlink=1

I believe you deleted the article "DIAOYU ISLANDS - The Truth," which is about a controversial film that covers the topic of the Senkaku Island Dispute. You deleted it under the A10 rule stating it is a duplicate topic, although it is not. There may have been confusion because, in the page title, I forgot to mention that it is a film.

The topic is relevant because the film caused a media storm in China last year and the film's creator has been the subject of news articles in a number of countries. He is referred to as a hero and a propagandist. The film is well-rated on IMDB (8.3/10) and has millions of views across platforms like Youtube,Youku. etc., which offers credibility to it as a known entity.

I have two main purposes in writing you: 1. I kindly request the page be reinstated, and if any changes need to be made, I will do so. 2. If you still believe the page is not correct, can you please let me know why and return to me the content that I wrote? I'd like to have my writing, and since the page is deleted I don't know how to retrieve it. I appreciate your time! Thank you, Slycat21 (talk) 23:11, 10 August 2015 (UTC) Slycat21
