Punjab Education in 19 and 20th Century
Please Punjab Education in 19 and 20th Century which was deleted by you for reason A3: Article has no meaningful, substantive content. As a matter of fact the day you deleted the article it was actually bereft of any cited content . However I had been working on this article prior to your deletion and provided content from about 5-6 citations from reliable sources , which had been recently deleted from the article . So the meaningful content had been just deleted from the article . Although complete attribution through citations were provided for the deleted content by me, the content could have been put in parenthesis or paraphrased . I propose to effect this once the article has been un-deleted .Thanks

- It is true that ITF does not need my approval, but they will need consensus and the chances of that happening for this article are slim-to-none unless the content is not merely paraphrased but also dramatically improved. In any event, it seems that they have now been blocked for another week. They have had an awful lot of rope given to them in recent months but there are several admins who seem now to be reaching the extremities of their tolerance. Let's see what happens when ITF returns. - Sitush (talk) 15:13, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

Rotaract Club of Patan Durbar Square
RHaworth thank you for your attention to Rotaract Club of Patan Durbar Square. But I see no reason to tag this page for deletion or delete it. This is one of the most active social club in Nepal. It has been awarded for its programs. It has been organizing blood donation campaign, health care awareness programs like cancer awarement, aids awareness, diabetic diseases and many other programs. - The words "we are" are sufficient to condemn an article to instant deletion - for utter idleness by the author if nothing else. Please read this. You also had a mass of shouting and a total lack of links to significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. Unfortunately individual Rotaract clubs are not deemed notable and it is unlikely that an article about your club would ever be accepted, even if it was submitted by someone with no COI. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:12, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
Could you please take a look? I think this is probably a misplaced article draft. It was created by an IP and there's no article to go with it. I think it can be deleted as a recreation of a deleted article since the article Alison Kosik has been deleted before, but I'm not sure since I can't see the previous article's content. Cloveapple (talk) 07:59, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
- Tip of in iceberg! See my deletion log. In the space of two hours the IP had created thirty four mis-placed bios all of them being copyvios from CNN and other websites.

Administrator
Do you think I would be a good RfA candidate? If not, how many edits should I try at, or other details? ~ ⇒TomTomN00 @ 19:15, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
- You're not ready yet. I'd suggest reading Wikipedia:Advice for RfA candidates for an idea of what people expect in an Rfa candidate. I'd also suggest thinking hard about why you want to be an admin. What specific tasks do you need to do that you can't do unless you are an admin? If there isn't a specific task that you need admin status for, then there is no reason to apply to be an admin. Plenty of very good editors are not admins. Cloveapple (talk) 19:38, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
- A basic requirement for becoming an admin is that you should be able to spell the word administrator. Seriously though, more important than quantity of edits is quality. Edits such as this, this and this indicate clearly that you are not yet ready to become an admin. There are no hard and fast rules but I suggest that you should not apply until six months have gone by during which no-one has complained to you about edits such as the above. The amount of your edits which are to your own user pages will not help an RfA application. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 09:11, 12 March 2012 (UTC)

You deleted as A7. I do not know if they're notable; it would depend on the reviews; but that they've been used by a long list of notable musicians should be an expression of plausible importance enough to pass speedy. AfD would be the place to decide--I've no expertise in this field. DGG ( talk ) 17:16, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
- Crate amplification is very likely notable. I remember then in the 70s, I've owned a few, they have had lots of endorsements from famous artists. They used to be a part of Saint Louis Music (Electra guitars, etc.), or imported by them or something. Not sure now. That doesn't mean they are 100% sure to be notable, but I would bet a week's worth of lunch money they are. Dennis Brown (talk) 17:35, 12 March 2012 (UTC)

CSD A1 advice
Hey, RHaworth, this is apropos of nothing, but I noticed in recentchanges that you deleted something with the A1 criterion. I think I remember that the article didn't seem to me to be A1, so I was just wondering: what do you use A1 for? I've always had difficulty understanding the intention behind this rationale, and I've asked a few other users what they would use it for. Of course, I'm not criticizing your judgement at all! Just wondering, as I've heard some pretty different answers from different people. Thanks! Writ Keeper ⚇♔ 14:49, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
- Don't tell anybody this but people who use A1 often do so as a synonym for "pathetic stub not worth keeping but won't fit any of the other CSD criteria" and if I agree, I delete. For example, what do you do with an article that consists simply of "City of Richmond vs Communities for a better environmental is a case that has set precedence for future environmental regulations!"? Or top ten high schools: the context was clear - someone's idea of the top ten schools in California - but no attempt to provide a reliable source. Did not even provide links to the articles about the schools. If challenged, and I cannot actually recall being challenged for deletion of an A1, I would invoke the snowball clause. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:18, 14 March 2012 (UTC)

Not to put you on the spot for the above, but can you take a look at Worthful? It's, uh, pretty obvious that it will be deleted one way or another (it's a straight-up dictionary definition and the word is already defined at Wiktionary, so transwiki is out).it's already been deleted; still kinda wondering about the theoretical question though Does A5 apply for an article like this, even though the article itself hasn't been transwikied? Writ Keeper ⚇♔ 17:25, 16 March 2012 (UTC)

Italobrothers
I am writing this after you deleted the Italobrothers article as they are "Unremarkable musician(s) or band". They have sold thousands of records, toured Europe and hit over 10 million youtube views on multiple songs; what makes a band remarkable? I linked their website and myspace, where you can purchase music, which proves they are a very real band. Like I posted previously, I am new to editing on Wikipedia and I hope this is going to the right person. Thank you -Iamtidal (talk) 17:37, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, it has come to one of the right people. How is it that in seven attempts (one at ItaloBrothers) nobody has managed to provide any links to significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources? Even de:ItaloBrothers can only manage one link to one very short reference. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:10, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
I am not entirely sure what kinda of reference is required, does them being on Itunes and LastFm, two independent sites that achknowledge them. Or do I need to link articles, magazines or newspapers for example, that discuss them? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iamtidal (talk • contribs) 21:23, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
- The latter obviously. iTunes Store and last.fm aim to be comprehensive - not every tune or band on those sites is worthy of a Wikipedia article - but the article we deleted did not even manage to link to those sites. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:50, 14 March 2012 (UTC)

Re: Plausible redirect
There I go again, not being descriptive enough in my tags. What I meant from it, was that Como ama una Mujer needs to be moved to Como Ama una Mujer because that is the correct English capitalization to use per WP:CAPS. Thank you so much for fixing that! Request to un-delete Dotmatics page
I'm looking to get Dotmatics back onto Wikipedia; it is referenced from numerous locations alongside our competitors but the page itself has been deleted since 2009 (you deleted it previously, for the same reason, in 2008). I'm aware of the reason for deletion (A7: No indication of importance) and I will work assiduously to meet that criterion and any others. Sincerely, Jesse Gordon, Application Scientist, Dotmatics Limited
- "Numerous" indeed - I make it just one article. Kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no COI thinks your company is notable and writes about it. If you wish to persist, suggestions: seek out Dan Ormsby to help you - he does not have much identifiable contribution history but at least it is infinitely more than yours; or follow this advice to find a "sponsor". May I request a copy of the deleted article be emailed to me? I have not seen the original at all. Your guidelines indicate these criteria which I believe I've met: my e-mail address is in "my preferences"; I ticked "enable e-mail from other users"; the original article is not a copyright violation, libel, or personal information; and the original article has not been deleted as a suspected WP:BLP violation. - I good starting point for your learning is to always provide a correct link when talking about an article, thus: Sergeant Robert Bales. Other things to learn: always search before creating a new article, do not put a dot at the end of a title and do not put titles or honorifics in bio titles. We already have a redirect at Robert Bales so anything more that you think needs to be said about this guy should be added to the Kandahar massacre article. Incidentally, your first edit was four years ago so you are not really a new Wikipedian but I will grant that you are inexperienced. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 00:07, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

FSANZ
I understand you deleted my article on Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), citing G11 and G12 as reasons. What a pity, I believed I was doing a public service putting my government agency on Wiki. Firstly, I had written the website copy in the first place so was hardly plagiarising or self-promoting, and second I believed it was a public service duty to tell readers about the efforts of of a public utility to better educate its nationals to live better lives through better nutrition and safe food (sorry, three 'betters' in a row there). I completely understand the need for the stringent rules and guidelines set down by Wiki but I honestly can't see where my article transgressed the letter or even the spirit of the guidelines. I believe that your summary deletion of the article does the people of Australia and New Zealand a disservice. Intrigued, Yours aye, Mrcomms (talk) 05:44, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
- Someone who has been a professional writer for 35 years will be well aware of the concept of house style. Here are a few aspects of Wikipedia house style: start a new section when writing a new talk page comment; link to the article you are talking about; do not repeat yourself and do not cause page widening (what on earth was the purpose of this edit?); keep your user page to tell us about yourself; put article drafts in a sub page. As to articles themselves: before you start, closely study articles already here on similar subjects; do not write about subjects where you have a COI; write them from scratch with Wikipedia in mind - see what I think about people like you; write in the third person; provide links to significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources.
- Do you get the picture? If you insist on providing an article, read the Food Standards Agency article and similar ones about FSAs in other countries. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:58, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

2012 Viking Cup
Sir; You have deleted an article on the 2012 Viking Cup, as is was considered advertising. The cup will be an annual tournament with international Women's National Teams and a team properly affiliated to the US Soccer Federation. What was included was the basic teams already participating and a timeline for other teams to join the tournament. It also had the contacts for the tournament. The purpose of having a Wikipedia page, was to set the foundations for an ongoing record of this competition, such as any other league or tournament. There was no game schedule or ticket pricing of any kind. No sponsors, no calls to action. This is not, in fact, advertising. We will recreate the page and hopefully, this facts will be considered. I noticed the CSD notice going onto Tenebrae's talkpage for this, then didn't get a chance to contest before the deletion took place 40 minutes later. The image was already a suitable candidate for transfer to commons and the authors rationale was that it had become redundant in the infobox of the article. Is it possible to transfer it over to Commons now, as it may prove useful for illustrating other aspects of the article in the future and is one of only two free images of the BLP available to us at this time? Hi Roger, would you mind restoring this image? I had added the "keeplocal" tag to it, and I had objected on talk to the speedy deletion. SlimVirgin (talk) 13:59, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
- Please learn how to link to images. I did see your keep local request but only after I had deleted it. There were several discussions about the keep local tag last year and the year before, and there is always strong consensus that admins should respect the tag. Editors don't have to explain why they want to keep images on Wikipedia -- the images are freely licenced, and therefore we can do what we want with them, subject to appropriate attribution. I'd therefore appreciate if you would undelete it. SlimVirgin (talk) 20:36, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
- You are an admin. I repeat: if you re-instate the image, I shall take no action. Why are you so reluctant to answer the simple question: why do you want it local? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:39, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
RH, you took admin action by mistake, and I'm therefore asking you to undo it. I'd appreciate it very much if you would do that, as a matter of courtesy.
As for why I prefer to keep local images, I don't want to have to get involved with another site, particularly not the way the Commons is nowadays. It seems chaotic, and somewhat women-unfriendly to judge by the amount of porn, so I mostly stay away from it. SlimVirgin (talk) 21:17, 27 March 2012 (UTC)

Thanks a lot and best regards. ;-) Angelus(talk) 22:53, 25 March 2012 (UTC)

- Angelus failed to tell you that he was adminshopping; as the upload history will show you, the title has been around since 2008. I had already declined the deletion three times and explained on his talk page why we don't delete old redirects purely for implausibility, but he doesn't appear to care even about WP:RFD#KEEP. - I really just wanted the opinion of another administrator. However I apologize, next time I will use WP:RFD. Best regards. Angelus(talk) 00:09, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

Asking about a deleted page
Dear admin, I'm new to wikipedia and thought to create a page about a popular artist in sri lanka Ameer Abdeen. I have created the page but you have deleted it. Please help me. Cuz i'm new to Wiki. Can you help me to re write Ameer Abdeen. Thanks ළහිරු හිමේෂ් මදුෂංඛ (talk) 09:55, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
- Does "links to significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources" suggest anything to you? Given your contributions history there is an inevitable suspicion that you are Ameer. It may be useful to find a sponsor. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:11, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
Sorry, But still I don't understand what wrong i have done. Also I'm not Ameer. My name is Lahiru Himesh Madusanka. My account is from si.wikipedia - si:පරිශීලක:ළහිරු හිමේෂ් මදුෂංඛ. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ළහිරු හිමේෂ් මදුෂංඛ (talk • contribs) 10:16, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
- The words "links to significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources" are a link. Have you followed that link and read the page? To spell it out: did your article contain links to significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources? Do you think that might be reason why it was deleted? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:24, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
Yes I have followed the link. But I think that page should be created under this: Has had a single or album on any country's national music chart. His songs were popular among Sri Lanken. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ළහිරු හිමේෂ් මදුෂංඛ (talk • contribs) 10:16, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

Yes. This is his FB url. You can ask from him. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1378077558

Marseilles Mill Ruins
Hello! I created the page Marseilles Mill Ruins, which you deleted at the 0900 hour, due to copyright infringement of johnweeks.com Just so you know, I am the owner of the website, and Calabe1992 said I can post it. HappyWheeler4Life (talk) 20:24, 26 March 2012 (UTC)HW4LIFE
- On Saturday, I saw a water mill in operation grinding corn and, remarkable coincidence, on Sunday I saw another watermill generating a bit of electricity. The Settle Hydro article uses my picture.
- It is always a good idea to do a search before creating an article. We already have Marseilles Hydro Plant. Anything you have to say on the subject should be added to that article. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:59, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

O.C.
I noticed that you contested the proposed deletion of Book:The O.C. (season 2). However, what about deletions of {{lb|The O.C. (season 3)}} and {{lb|The O.C. (season 4)}}? Were these deletions justified or unjust? --George Ho (talk) 08:26, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
- The other deletions were unjustified. If you remove them from Template:OCnavigation and wait for the change to propagate through the database, then speedy deletion of all four books will probably be uncontroversial. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 08:34, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
Deleted Legit Clothing
We have noticed that you deleted the page Legit Clothing. We were doing quite a few edits and were about to insert more references. Any feedback as to why it was deleted would be much appreciated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Purse9644 (talk • contribs) 12:36, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
- There never has been an article entitled Legit Clothing. Given your contribs history, it is possible that just for once (see the typical moans on this page!) you do not have a COI and this company is possibly a legitimate subject for an article. But no article will succeed if it is completely lacking links to significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:49, 29 March 2012 (UTC)

On 11:27, 29 March 2012 you have deleted page i edited, Felix Lupa -A7: Article about a real person, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject; If possible, pls indicate what made you think that the subject wasn't significant or important. the "real person" is a great street photographer in Israel and worldwide, such as other Israeli photographers on list and more. I would like to create a new page and do it right, so i realy need your opinion. 10X a lot Veredsadot (talk) 20:13, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
- I see no evidence that you edited the page. Always log in before editing. The article was loaded with peacock language and contained just one apparently independent link to a page in Hebrew. This may be acceptable on the Hebrew Wikipedia but it will not do here. A properly referenced article written in neutral language may well stick. I can let you see the delete text - read this. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:01, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
Deleted page: Contagious Songs
Contagious Songs and Brett Epstein were deleted under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion I need to know what guidelines I need to follow to not have them deleted, and to restore them. Contagious Songs is a very valid company that has two leading producers that have credentials that are very reputable. If you can help me to better understand what I need to do to recover these two pages, and to stay within the guidelines to add the other producer at a later time, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you. KnucklesMangano (talk) 20:19, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
- Both articles were an insult to Wikipedia. No attempt to format them as proper articles. Contagious Songs was loaded with external links but which of them actually contain significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources specifically about the company? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:20, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
While no "insult" was intended, I felt it would be insulting to mention external sources without linking them. I see that was in error now. If I can format it better, and link to sources with the producer's credits, and cite the company's credibility, for instance, in a template, would that resolve the issue? KnucklesMangano 00:33, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
- You may try but it would be far better if you were to leave it to an experienced editor with no COI. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 01:09, 30 March 2012 (UTC)

Kit Bigelow and David E. Henderson
With regard to the copyright infringements at David E. Henderson and Kit Bigelow I am being threatened and attacked by User talk:Deh343 because of it, please could you help explain the situation to him, I don't think he understands the problem and I am scared by his manner! — Theroadislong (talk) 22:58, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
- A distinctly unpleasant fellow. Do not hesitate to request a longer block if he resumes his attacks in 24hrs time. What do you think is the relationship is between Deh343 and B nikusha (talk · contribs)? Do you think a block for sock puppetry might be appropriate? Have you disclosed on Wikipedia where you live or is he just bluffing? On a pleasanter note, interesting co-incidence: would you like to help with KGV fields in Derbyshire - see above? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:32, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for your help. I don't know what the connection between the two users is, only that they are editing the same articles. I have not disclosed where I live to my knowledge, which is partly what scared me! It's been quite a few years since I looked at KGV fields, I'll take a look. Kind regards Theroadislong (talk) 08:10, 30 March 2012 (UTC)

Re the copyright deletion of this article yesterday (29 March 2012), the author states that he authored the allegedly infringed content, AFTER he wrote the wikipedia article, thus any infringement is the other way around. See [3]. As best as I can tell this claim seems to be legitimate, and the subject seems notable.--Milowent • hasspoken 02:50, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
- Assuming that is true, then Cocoruff (talk · contribs) should have his knuckles firmly rapped for not acknowledging on this page that it uses material from Wikipedia. I stand by my deletion. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 09:20, 30 March 2012 (UTC)

Hello, I have added Volko Audio page which was deleted by you recently. I have indicated the importance of the subject in the article and curious why it was deleted. Before you another admin wrote that it has some importance because they made the unique electronic instrument. - Either give a wikilink or an external link - a non-link is useless. Any claims to notablity must be supported by links to significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. Cleve Hall Deletion
Hello, I am wondering as to why the Cleve Hall article was deleted. When the article was brought up for speedy deletion it was not complete and put under article A7. After it was brought up I provided everything that was asked of to remove the speedy deletion. This includes, reliable sources, reliable links to other wiki sites that backed my information, a bio that showed the importance of the article, and websites that helped prove the importance of the article without adding any spam links. As well, if the article isn't going to be posted on the site, I would like to get my article back. I went to the deletion log and cannot find it there. --Klaviaturist (talk) 13:30, 30 March 2012 (UTC)— Preceding unsigned comment added by Klaviaturist (talk • contribs) 13:17, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
- It is extremely rare for me to restore one of my deletions but I have done in this case. The guy already has three incoming wikilinks - once you get the capitalisation right! - and I believe there are more references to him in other articles which can be turned into links. But I would still like to see better external references in the article itself. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:15, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
Media and the Thin Ideal deletion?
Hello. I am the professor of Writing as Communication. It appears as though you've deleted my student's page and set up a redirect to another article. I can understand that she had some overlap there but she cannot find her work. We can come up with other strategies for her contributions but it appears as if they've been deleted with no notice rather than returned to her sandbox. We do not understand why this happened only that this appears to be lost now. Debaser42 (talk) 14:31, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
- There is no general practice of userfying deleted material but recognise that only one hour elapsed between the speedy tag being applied and deletion happening. I have e-mailed you the text. I hope that "other strategies" will not involve creating a new article here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:15, 30 March 2012 (UTC)

- The viewpoint and curious perspective led me to suspect Streetview. I even went into Streetview, found that the weather conditions were different and decided to give the benefit of the doubt. Clearly, if I did not spot the copyright notice, it would have been better to point it out. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:32, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
- I'll remember to do that in future, the same editor has uploaded a few other images that are similar but without the obvious copyright marking so I've listed at WP:PUF but this one seemed to meet the criteria for a speedy. Cheers for the deletion anyway. Stuart.Jamieson (talk) 06:00, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
