Restoring of page Udaya Sankar
I got a message that the page Udaya sankar has been deleted by you. I had created with URL www.wikipedia.org/udaya_sankar Udaya Sankar is a well known movie director who has directed more than 6 movies in Tamil and Telugu language. The current wiki page wrongly credits his movie to a different director with the name K. R. Udhayashankar. That is why I created this page. Request you to do the needful to restore the page. Regards Ram — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2rams (talk • contribs)
- Don't be ridiculous: it is impossible for you to create a page with a URL of www.wikipedia.org/udaya_sankar . So - write a proper wikibio about the guy and sumbit it via AfC. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:32, 29 January 2018 (UTC)
Currently all works of Uday Sankar are credited to a different director with the same name K. R. Udhayashankar. How to rectify this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2rams (talk • contribs) 10:56, 31 January 2018 (UTC)
- I have already told you the first rectification step: do you see a sentence beginning "so" in my previous message? Do you intend to follow its advice, if not, why not? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:57, 31 January 2018 (UTC)
Jowinvp
Pages blanked and speedy delete requested by author User:Jowinvp multiple times. I thought of writing to you of the page Geevarghese Yakoob Kathanar as well as his family page Pattamukkil family, that were both blanked and requested speedy deletion (G7) by author User:Jowinvp that you had deleted now. The first article was effectively a 90% copy-paste of another WP article, with partial change of names and dates/years. References provided were plenty but irrelevant, were quite generic ones on the history of larger community or geographic place and had nothing to do with subject. Therefore, I had put some effort to clean up both articles, so a bit sad to see that both article are gone by now. I would not have made the effort, if this was the author's intention (almost predictable from his WP history). In fact, I realized that it is not the first time. Both pages were created and speedy-deleted (G7) earlier also. He has done similar actions in Malayalam Wikipedia for the same subjects in spite of multiple notices, to the effect that the ML-WP admins had to enforce a ban on his edits since 21-May-2017. I wrote of this on his user talk and article talk pages, but he has a habit of blanking talk pages on articles, which is in fact a violation of WP:TPG. I request you to take notice of such non-standard activity and act as appropriate to warn/guide the user. — Sahrudayan (talk) 16:38, 29 January 2018 (UTC)
Just saw that he has blanked his talk page again, so all my comments there are gone. WP admins please take note. — Sahrudayan (talk) 16:40, 29 January 2018 (UTC)
I also request you to please restore the Talk pages of the respective articles that you have deleted. Because, given the WP history (both EN and ML) of this user (who also operates with IP addresses such as 202.83.42.46 or 202.83.42.118), I expect that the same articles will re-surface after some months and if that happens, the editors should be allowed to notice those discussions.— Sahrudayan (talk) 16:51, 29 January 2018 (UTC)
Pattamukkil family had a longer deletion + restore cycle history as can be seen in Wikipedia_talk:Articles for creation/Pattamukkil Family. Arguably, the same user has been requesting blanking each time. — Sahrudayan (talk) 18:03, 29 January 2018 (UTC)
I have left some notes + guidelines to the user on user talk:Jowinvp#Block. I hope the user understands the reason behind the block. If user agrees to contribute to WP in a responsible manner following the community guidelines, I will be happy if you can let the user edit WP responsibly in future. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sahrudayan (talk • contribs)
- Please learn to sign messages with ~~~~. Your message to Jowinvp was a waste of time. They are suffering from the "it cannot possibly be me" syndrome and have demonstrated themselves unfit to be an editor. Totally unable to believe that they might have done anything wrong, they descend into sending you baseless and irrational insults. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 19:51, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
You deleted my page Draft:Kip Sperry
Will you kindly send me the text and give me clear guidance as to what needs to be done to get this set up? I'm being paid to do this so the sooner you can the better. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blonde mike (talk • contribs)
- Please read this. I wonder if the words significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject suggest anything to you. If an award is notable enough to have a Wikipedia article about it, then you may mention in a bio that the subject has received that award. Otherwise don't mention it. That probably means that the whole of your Awards section should be deleted. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 00:46, 31 January 2018 (UTC)

Template:Z
Hello RHaworth. Would you consider dropping protection on Template:Z down to template editor? It seems DePiep would like to make use of it. — GMGtalk 22:25, 30 January 2018 (UTC)
- I'm sorry to have you involved with this. I only wanted to ping you, because I saw your recent creation blocking (Jan 5, 2018), good reason I get. For now, I only wanted to "claim the name Template:Z" (datestamped!), and later on request actual creation. -DePiep (talk) 22:54, 30 January 2018 (UTC)
- There is no concept in Wikipedia of claiming a name. Develop your template in draft space. Create an example of its use and come to me and I will move it to the proper name. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 00:46, 31 January 2018 (UTC)
- Yes I understand this very well. Is what I said, while claiming a datestamp ;-) — and nothing more. I also clealy said that I'd use the name when appropriate, Puh-lease. -DePiep (talk) 01:19, 31 January 2018 (UTC)
- I’m concerned that someone who made up a new rule that makes no sense and keeps making a spectacle of themselves trying to get others to go along with it even has the template editor right. Beeblebrox (talk) 02:53, 31 January 2018 (UTC)
- DePiep, could you explain exactly what "claiming a datestamp" means? Everyone is trying to help you, but before that happens we need to know what you want to do. ansh666 04:09, 31 January 2018 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher)Hmm...There exists a draft-space where you could develop the proposed version of the sought template.I fail to see any rational explanation of your antics save that either your acc. is compromised or that you are fearing about some rogue sysop copying your hard-work from the draft-space and creating the template under his own user-ID, thus depriving you of being etched in wiki-history as the template-creator!.Winged BladesGodric 16:09, 31 January 2018 (UTC)

Creation of 47.184.179.113
This was removed on the wrong reason. I would like to keep this article to redirect users to the correct page which is, as my IP was not registered. — User:Quile78 Quile78 (talk) 23:57, 30 January 2018 (UTC)
- You clearly have no concept of namespaces. 47.184.179.113 if that is what you are talking about, is in the article namespace where it is only allowed if it describes some notable concept. I have given you user:47.184.179.113 which is in the correct namespace. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 00:46, 31 January 2018 (UTC)

You just deleted Draft:Jose Raymond at my request as G4. It was created by User:Hypnodarky. My question now is who was the author of Jose Raymond. My question is whether there is sockpuppetry and/or undisclosed paid editing. About Deletion of Draft:Audeze
The Draft created was initially suggested to review by | this editor and asked to encyclopedic information. But the added information slightly leaned to promotional behaviour and it's got a speedy deletion suggestion. Before getting deleted I have modified the phrases and added more encyclopedic information. Could you please re-consider the latest changes I have added before it's went for deletion. — JyothishSebastian 15:04, 2 February 2018 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by JyothishSebastian (talk • contribs)

Engage:BDR
I am a friend of engage:BDR CEO Ted Dhanik and he has asked me to write an article about engage:BDR for Wikipedia. He told me the page was removed before and after researching, I think that should qualify now, because ever since the Wikipedia page was removed, they have gone public. Also, they are a major media advertising firm with plenty of major news references, so just based on that they should qualify.
When I went to start creating the article I saw there was a block preventing anyone from creating this article. Can you please tell me what steps I should take in order to upload this article onto Wikipedia. Would you like to review what I have and tell me if it is OK to publish now? BTW, the CEO is already on Wiki, so it does not make sense that the company should not be! — Allabouttech (talk) 20:13, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
- My cynical mind suggests that your contributions history is just a blind to conceal the fact that you are really an SPA. But if you really insist, submit a new version via AfC. If it gets accepted them unprotection will be uncontroversial. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 19:11, 3 February 2018 (UTC)
Confused as to why you deleted engage:BDR article from my user space. It was my intention to work on the article here and then submit it via AfC. It was my understanding the the userspace is for creating drafts of articles and you were fine with it being submitted by AfC. Can you please explain how I can progress with this article. — Allabouttech (talk) 23:02, 12 February 2018 (UTC)

Hello After !voting at the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/N. Gopala Rao, I looked at the contribs for the editor who created (or recreated) the article. Fishiest contribs I have ever seen. It looks like paid editing to me. In particular, the user has copied a version of the existing article Pinar Yoldas to a new article called Pınar Yoldaş. Why bother? I guess the second character in the new article title is a Turkish character. More fishiness is in their contribs. Fishy fishy fishy. — 104.163.148.25 (talk) 23:40, 3 February 2018 (UTC)

Hello, you recently deleted this page and moved it to User:TechnicianGB/sandbox. Ok, i'm ok with that. The problem is that there was information on that page which hasn't been moved on my new sandbox. How can I achieve again that data to be inserted again in my actual sandbox? Because I had to compile information for almost like an hour and it would be pretty distressed for me to do it again. Thanks! -- TechnicianGB (talk) 23:54, 3 February 2018 (UTC)
- I am prepared to forgive you that as edit conflict:
- 2018-02-01 04:46:10 - you saved UserTechnicianGB/sandbox
- 2018-02-01 04:55:24 - Power~enwiki moved it to the proper title without leaving you a message
- 2018-02-01 04:57:28 - the log says you created the page. In fact you simply did another save and got no indication that your previous edits had been moved.
- All edits now restored. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 19:51, 4 February 2018 (UTC)

High explosive nuclear effects testing
Hey High Explosive Nuclear Effects Testing was a stub I started. This is not falling under the nuclear testing page. These are entirely different tests using TNT/high explosives and not nuclear weapons. They were started after the nuclear test ban treaty and went on until the 90s. It includes tests like snowball, sailor hat, minor scale ect. These have their own pages and are not included in nuclear test series. I plan to re add the page that includes a master table of all these tests. We can link to it from the main nuclear tests page eventually. It was also linked as main article from existing page for largest conventional explosions — Preceding unsigned comment added by Crazytrain411 (talk • contribs) 00:05, 8 February 2018 (UTC)
- I deleted it as much for the horrible spurious capitals in the title as for the reason in the deletion tag. Suggestions: add the text to the nuclear weapons testing article or resubmit via AfC. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:14, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
I fixed the title casing and re-added it. Please do not delete it again it is a work in progress (will contain about a hundred tests in the table and more sections), you wasted my time as I could not retrieve the text back. The reason for deletion is not valid, this topic is not covered anywhere else on wiki or a duplicate and it is not nuclear device testing. I also disagree with the suggestion, it does not belong on the nuclear testing page inline (again as it is not nuclear testing but effects testing using conventional explosives and would disrupt the flow with a huge table of stuff that is a different topic), and besides all other sections have a main article (such as Timeline, List of Tests, US tests). Once I have time and finish the article I can add a shortened version or links. Also please see largest artificial non-nuclear explosions#Conventional explosions for nuclear testing. The article is basically main article/expanded version for that section, and this has not been deleted. Also see Testing Effects for as an instance describing this distinctly from nuclear testing and a sense of what content can be there. Please continue any more discussion on the new page's talk instead of here. I find your deletions very trigger happy from what I can tell from other users here, this should be escalated or arbitrated to someone else if you still feel very strongly about deleting it. At the minimum please allow some time to add content I don't have unlimited stretches of hours to work on it and must add content gradually. I spent almost as much time rescuing and discussing here than working on it. This is also clearly allowed within Wikipedia policy as it encourages adding stubs and developing articles gradually over time and collaborative. — Crazytrain411 (talk)

My first article Basij E Imam has been deleted under Speedy Delete scheme. Now I want to overcome the faults and make fulfilling the Wikipedia's guidelines. Pls guide me how to work on the article. Why are you deleting users sandbox
What is your problem? That sandbox of mine was not a hoax, it was a SANDBOX page because I was trying to learn how to modify the real page. And no, the page isn't a hoax, it's also a place where I make a bus roster for the bus routes in a game I have. Restore my sandbox, please. — AahdTahar (talk) 13:13, 8 February 2018 (UTC)

How is it a social network site when I was using it to learn how to edit the NYC bus articles in Wikipedia...plus it wasn't even a real page with a link to it, it was a SANDBOX so I can mess around with it and LEARN. If you had a problem with what the content was, you could have ASKED me to remove the information instead of deleting it. If you won't restore it, at least email me the contents of the sandbox page so I can learn from that instead. — AahdTahar (talk) 15:08, 9 February 2018 (UTC)

Carykh page
Hi, I was writing an article in my sandbox when I left, I left the page blank because I had to take a break from Wikipedia, but lo and behold when I came back, I find that you have deleted the page. It is a sandbox page, not a live article. The reason why it was deleted was a G7. I understand why you may have done this, but a sandbox page is a work-in-progress. I suggest you mind your business and stop deleting sandboxes as they are not live articles. Here is the link saying why you deleted the page: Carykh. — Jmaxx37 (talk) 01:29, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
- Jmaxx37, thousands of non-article pages are deleted every month. blanked pages are assumed to be a request for deletion under WP:G7. You can request a WP:REFUND. — Legacypac (talk) 08:25, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
Re: User:Fauxlosophe/sandbox
Hi, I was hoping to contact you to retrieve the original content of this page which has since been deleted. While I recognize the reason the content was deleted and will avoid future incidents, I was unaware of the rule prior to deletion (I assumed Sandbox was free for users to do with as they saw fit) and I hadn't backed up my content elsewhere. If you would email me this content as soon as possible, I would appreciate it greatly as there was a deadline for the work which is originally what pressed me to use the rather unorthodox method of preserving/publishing it for use over multiple platforms. Best Regards, Fauxlosophe (talk) 08:08, 9 February 2018 (UTC)

RE: Deletion - Draft:G Fuel
I tried to repair this page Draft:G Fuel after another editor had submitted a page that was fairly advertorial. Neutrality
Good Evening Mr. RHaworth, Best Way to Maintain Neutrality While Writing an Article. My name is Olliver and I was tasked with writing an article for our company FitDel. I recently had an article up that was flagged for "Speedy Deletion" due to unambiguous advertising or promotion which is understandable. I am looking to see how I can best maintain neutrality while writing this article and tried to emulate well established companies such as Apple or Dell. I failed to list outside sources in the original article and thought it perhaps that is what is missing. But instead of risking speedy deletion a second time, I would hope you can provide some insight on how I can avoid that and see about having the Article up without coming off as an ad. Any other recommendations are sincerely appreciated. Thank you, OlliverFD (talk) 02:43, 15 February 2018 (UTC) Olliver Vasquez

Reg page Kuldeep Pai
Sharan (talk) 23:22, 15 February 2018 (UTC) Aware that the page 'Kuldeep Pai' has been considered as an article for deletion. I would like to mention that Kuldeep Pai is a very popular musician in India and is well-known for his contributions in Hinduism and Spirituality through music.
I have cited references that are available as external links in the main article that are readily available on the internet. However, just so you know, there are media coverages and articles about him covered in various other newspapers and magazines. The printed version of newspapers bearing his articles and awards have been scanned and uploaded in his website under the 'Press' section - http://kuldeepmpai.com/press/ (The article 'Kuldeeply Passionate' mentions about Kuldeep's gold medal in Indian Music from Madras University which required the citation in the main article). I am aware that the references from his own resource are deemed invalid and hence was unable to add these as the citation in the main article. User:Evil Dork Bard
Hi, I have restored the pages nominated for deletion by User:Evil Dork Bard and deleted by you. As all pages appear to be nominated in bad faith, and this was some sock who is now locked and blocked. — Graeme Bartlett (talk) 11:23, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
Rosemarie Truman?
page: Rosemarie Truman. There may be two problems with the page, but I could fix both of them. 1. The page looks like it was not created by an individual account. That account is no longer active so I would like to fix the page. 2. The page may contain solicitation, but I am not sure since I cannot view the page. I would like to edit the page so that it meets the requirements to be published. I would like to do this for Rosemarie Truman because she does not have the time to do this herself and I believe she is doing great things with her organization that have a high social impact in the areas of Life Sciences and Technology.
Would you be able to restore the page so that I could edit it? Or would you be able to remove any content that does not meet wiki terms of use and then restore it so that I could edit the page? This is my first attempt to contribute to wikipedia so I need a little guidance.
Thank You. (I am a grumpy old man as well) RicoGrande 13:26, 16 February 2018 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by RicoGrande (talk • contribs)
- Kibitzer here. The page seems to have been made by one of a series of accounts created by somebody who has an extraordinary degree of interest in Truman and who is banned. Even if being banned didn't matter (and it does matter), what was deleted is hardly worth restoration. It reads like a PR puff. If Truman merits an article, I'm sure that people will be able to create something non-promotional, and straightforwardly based on info from reliable sources. -- Hoary (talk) 14:07, 16 February 2018 (UTC)

Template:Mining activity
Hi RHaworth, I recently edited my {{Mining activity}}, though it has been removed through a nomination of speedy deletion. I am a new student editor for Wikipedia, and I believe I meant to edit my sandbox for a university assignment, and not make/edit a template and now I believe all of my assignment work for my course is gone (which is due for marking). is there a way I can retrieve the deleted content and place it in my sandbox? (where I meant to put it.) I did not mean to have/make/edit a template at all, so after I retrieve that information I can delete the template page. - HPokrandt (talk) 16:35, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
Hi RHaworth again, it seems I have found the information in another sandbox that I created and mistook it for being in the aforementioned template. i do not need any information from the deleted template. I'm still getting used to this... sorry to bother you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by HPokrandt (talk • contribs) 16:48, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
- Your course is supposed to teach you things like wikilinks, reading an edit history and where message go on a talk page. No, you clown, you did need to ask me: look at the history - I restored the template and then moved it. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:07, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
Prophet Daddy Hezekiah
Draft:Prophet Daddy Hezekiah & Prof Daddy Hezekiah & Prof. Daddy Hezekiah. Hi, if you have time, I'd appreciate it if you had a look at the above. You speedy deleted the last, but the first is at Afc and the second is currently in main space. They're all the same crap. I also strongly suspect an improper link between User talk:Kolapoimam and User talk:WittyWriter who seem to be tag-teaming this trash through Afc into article space. As an aside the former is drafting and pushing through a load of poor-quality biographies which, I would bet my house, are as a result of an undeclared Coi. Many thanks. KJP1 (talk) 17:15, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
Now resolved, as another admin picked it up. I fear he'll be back, with Pastor Daddy Hezekial, or one of the many other titles this man appears to possess. Regards. KJP1 (talk) 19:27, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
- Kibitzing again. On the former username: Yes, see this history for example. -- Hoary (talk) 01:15, 17 February 2018 (UTC)
Kastus Technologies speedy deletion
Dear Mr. Hayworth, I would like to contest the speedy deletion of Draft:Kastus Technologies. I can understand why you would refuse this article however I would argue that Kastus have developed a genuinely groundbreaking solution that is worthy of being labelled as encyclopedic. The fact that the company has also won The Irish Times Innovation award, which is a very prestigious award from Ireland's most recognized newspaper, is further proof that the company is providing something which is of note and interest to the general public. This solution is the first of its kind and is a huge step towards the eradication of superbugs. One of the sources cited was a scientific paper from Nature, which clearly shows that Kastus has been accredited by independent, third-party doctors in the field of nanotechnology and therefore lends to the argument that the company is noteworthy. I will happily rewrite or remove sections of the article that come across as too promotional, but in my opinion the vast majority of the article is suitable for entry to the wiki mainspace. I Look forward to hearing your thoughts on this. Best Regards, Caileam Raleigh (talk) 20:17, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
- Kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no CoI, thinks your company is notable and writes about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:57, 19 February 2018 (UTC)
Could you restore the article to draft so I can then disclose my COI on it and work on removing the promotional aspect from it? Caileam Raleigh (talk) 01:59, 21 February 2018 (UTC)
- I must be going soft. Restored. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:21, 21 February 2018 (UTC)
NRAM Limited
Hi RHaworth. Could you explain why you reverted my speedy nomination for NRAM Limited? Thanks. Cloudbound (talk) 22:24, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
Hello again. Any explanation? — Cloudbound (talk) 18:55, 21 February 2018 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Sorry to butt in, but I am assuming it's because {{db-error}} wasn't really applicable; if the redirect target is wrong, then it would make more sense to simply change the target, which is what has been done now if I am not mistaken? &mdas; Alex Shih (talk) 19:22, 21 February 2018 (UTC)
It would have been nice to have been told that straight away in all honesty. Thanks for your reply though Alex Shih. I've changed the target although we don't really need the redirect, which was the reason for the tag (and explained in the original edit summary) in the first place. — Cloudbound (talk) 19:39, 21 February 2018 (UTC)
- You seem to have accepted that NRAM Limited should remain as a redirect so no further discussion was needed. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:19, 22 February 2018 (UTC)
Further discussion?! You didn't bother to engage at all, not even in an edit summary. It didn't seem like I'd get anywhere with you. — Cloudbound (talk) 19:16, 22 February 2018 (UTC)
W49dakota/Sandbox and Draft:SPIROL
Hello Mr. Haworth. Last month, you deleted pages Draft:SPIROL International Corporation and user:W49dakota/Sandbox due to (G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion).
This was the advice I had received from a Wikipedia administrator: "That article is completely unsalvageable and completely inappropriate. I can't imagine anyone would restore it (and if they did, it would be subject to immediate deletion again as still being promotional). If you want to try again, start from scratch and tone the promotion way down. Wikipedia is not for an exhaustive list of products, certifications, locations, etc. Oh, and Don't Capitalize Random Words, either, there was a lot of inappropriate capitalization in that one."
With that advice in mind, I certainly do not wish to restore the work contained on those pages but am unsure about starting a new draft and sandbox. This is why I am contacting you.
Hoping that others will eventually add to the article, I want to start from scratch in creating a page on the same subject of SPIROL International Corporation. It would primarily document the corporation's history from a neutral point of view...just the facts with references. The text containing product information would be very brief and can link to nine existing Wikipedia pages I have found that cover the product types from a neutral perspective. Is it okay to proceed? I would make full disclose for my contribution to the SPIROL article as required "This user, in accordance with the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use, discloses that they have been paid by SPIROL International Corporation for their contributions to SPIROL International Corporation." Regards, W49dakota (talk) 17:38, 19 February 2018 (UTC)

I notice that you deleted the 2017 Sydney Roosters season article. I was wondering if I could have the deleted article sent to my sandbox, so that I may salvage something from it, and create the article afresh. &mdash Fleets (talk) 19:48, 19 February 2018 (UTC)

re deletion of BlueChilli_(Company)
Hi RHaworth, I'm new to editing Wiki. Thank you for reviewing the article I wrote Draft:BlueChilli (Company) . I hope you don't mind me contacting you here, the talk page for the article can't be accessed (as it was deleted). The reason given for deletion was G11 - unambiguous advertising, which I have reviewed. When writing I attempted to provide a balanced view, citing two controversies, so I don't believe it was exclusively promotional as defined by G11, and I would like to know what I could have done differently. I do not have a COI but I do know of the company. I believe the company is of note in Australia as it has been involved in politics helping shape the political climate and has been quite forward in promoting women entrepreneurship, a notable topic now. They are also only one of 3 such firms in the world that has taken a company to IPO. I aimed to demonstrate this notability by citing as many references from notable sources that I could, using the guidelines at Wikipedia:Notability I also used another published wiki article on a smaller company Sydney_Seed_Fund as a reference for notability.
I'd like to improve my work, and resubmit, so could you help me understand: - how the article was Exclusively promotional (as defined by G11) given I provided a balance? and - how the article fails to meet significance and fails G11 when Sydney_Seed_Fund is ok? Thank you in advance, and appreciate the hard work you and all the other volunteer editors do! — Allamatta (talk) 05:05, 20 February 2018 (UTC)

Deletion of Prasad kaipa
Hello there! Re: Prasad kaipa. I believe the deletion occurred since I re-created a previously deleted page. The new article I wrote addressed all concerns of those who deleted the old one, and the reasons for (prior) deletion no longer apply. Marder
Why did you delete a practice article in my sandbox? It was not yet published and I was trying to learn. Who are you to perform such an action. — CRedram (talk) 16:46, 21 February 2018 (UTC)?
- CRedram, who am I? I am an admin with janitorial responsibilities. But I have been soft and restored it. It has not escaped my notice that Redram is Marder backwards. You are liable to get into trouble if you do not make proper declaration of your CoI. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:19, 22 February 2018 (UTC)
A move
Hello. Could you help to move Yonathan Fernandez to Yonathan Jesús Fernández? The former's name spelling is wrong. Thanks. LoveVanPersie (talk) 17:53, 22 February 2018 (UTC)
- What message do you get when you try to move it? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:28, 22 February 2018 (UTC)
- @LoveVanPersie: They needed the page mover right to effectively perform such a move without leaving redirects behind in the red-robin process. I have gone ahead and switched them around (so now Yonathan Fernandez points to Yonathan Jesús Fernández and the latter is now the article's location) as it appears that they were correct as to the punctuation being off (redirect now has {{R from modification}} on it). --TheSandDoctor (talk) 17:19, 23 February 2018 (UTC)

Request to restore User:Willtoco
I noticed I had a Speedy deletion nomination. I see your point about it and clearly my file tend to misunderstand the info. If you allow me to edit the file I'll update the info about El Boris WXT - Bass Player where eventually will show only info related to the artist career without promoting it as a website. — Willtoco (talk) 03:38, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
- Willtoco, I can't see the deleted page, and I can't remember it which means it didn't give me any cause to hesitate in nominating it for deletion. It looks like you haven't touched the page in years and only have an interest in Wikipedia now because your page has been deleted. Your edit count is 228 yet there are only 13 edits now showing in your contributions which leads me to believe that all your effort has been devoted to a promotional page for whoever it was. That's a pretty good definition of the U5 speedy deletion criterion.
- I've deleted the duplicate of this discussion from my talk page in the interests of keeping the discussion in one place per WP:MULTI. Cabayi (talk) 07:42, 23 February 2018 (UTC)

How to proceed
Hello, some days ago you moved an article called dale of merchants to draft:dale of merchants. I would like to know what needs to be done in order to restore the article. Thank you very much. -- Salvadorcases (talk) 12:59, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi there Salvadorcases! At current, the article contains only one source which is not properly formatted (I fixed that for you). I would suggest taking a look at this helpful guide to referencing and add additional reliable sources to the draft. Once that has been done, you can place {{subst:submit}} (copy and paste) on the draft, and a volunteer reviewer will come along and take a look at it for you. If you are curious on how notability is rated, you can check this out. I hope that this helps! If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask. -- TheSandDoctor (talk) 17:09, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
OK, thanks. I have added more sources of information and they are properly formatted, and I have expanded a little the article draft:dale of merchants, do you think it is ready to place a <submit> or something else needs to be done? -- Salvadorcases (talk) 08:34, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
- You have been contributing here for six years and still have not learned about wikilinks or bulleted lists. So if you think you have provided sufficient evidence of notability, click on the "Submit" link. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:41, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
I wanted a vertical list, not a horizontal one, what's wrong with a vertical one?--Salvadorcases (talk) 12:11, 25 February 2018 (UTC)
TARGET 2 instant payment
Dear RHaworth, I have red your comment about TARGET instant payment settlement wiki page, please consider that it is an initial version. I do not see a "non neutral" point of view, because it is like the https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/T2S or https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/TARGET2 wiki pages, which are related to other European Central Bank projects. Do I need to add other external sources to improve the level of trust? Please let me know your opinion on that. Kind regards, Nicola &mdsh; Nicola Caione (talk) 22:16, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
- Nicola Caione, I cannot see the deleted article's contents, but can say that, in most cases, nearly all articles could always benefit from more references, so long as they are reliable and secondary. Articles should also be written in a neutral point of view and those who work on them should declare if they have any conflicts of interest (just stating the they should, not meaning to imply that you do. Again, I cannot view the content in question) or abstain from editing the page(s) altogether. As for those other two, please see WP:OTHERSTUFF. Just because one (or two) bad page(s) exist(s) on Wikipedia doesn't mean that we should go around creating more bad pages. If the page you're working on needs more sources, add some! If you think that T2S or TARGET2 should be deleted, nominate them for deletion! Always look towards the betterment of Wikipedia. -- TheSandDoctor (talk) 23:04, 23 February 2018 (UTC) (talk page stalker)
TheSandDoctor, I published again the article as a draft just to receive your commento on that --PLEASE DO NOT DELETE IT --. I'll add the proper reference. T2 and T2S pages are not bad pages in mi humble opinion :-), mine has to be improved.... Kind regards, Nicola Nicola Caione (talk) 22:16, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
- Nicola Caione, don't worry, on Wikipedia, non-administrators cannot delete pages. Adding references is a good thing. If you would like me to take a look at it afterward, I would be happy to do that. --TheSandDoctor (talk) 06:34, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
- But I say to Nicola: kindly have the decency to wait until a) your service is actually launched, b) becomes notable and c) someone with no CoI writes about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:41, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
Wadi Barada AfC debris
(coming here as you are the last admin who touched this article) Wadi Barada has been moved out of draft space into mainspace, bypassing the usual AfC final cleanup. Article does seem fine now, so I marked as reviewed and have removed the remaining taggery, but I'm not sure if there's still loose ends that need to be snipped after such a move. E.g. there's now a redirect from Draft:Wadi Barada which I assume should be deleted? At least page history looks intact. Cheers --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 10:03, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi there Elmidae! Usually leaving behind the draft namespace redirect when the page is moved to the mainspace is routine and allows the original creator or anyone visiting the draft link to see the article's location. I took a quick look for you and it does not appear that there are any loose ends. -- All the best, TheSandDoctor (talk) 15:08, 24 February 2018 (UTC) (talk page stalker)
Toy Story 4
Can you make Toy Story 4 a redirect until the draft gets approved? That move w/o redirect created a lot of redlinks.— Naraht (talk) 13:42, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Naraht: Where would you want it to redirect to? The draft? If that is the case, then WP:R2 would apply and the redirect would most likely be deleted. -- TheSandDoctor (talk) 15:10, 24 February 2018 (UTC) (talk page stalker)
No, Toy_Story_(franchise)#Toy_Story_4_(2019). — Naraht (talk) 15:30, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
- How do you expect me to create a redirect if you do not provide a link to where you want it created? Please reply. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:41, 24 February 2018 (UTC)

User:Cecile Gallina-Duret/Jean Duret
Hi, Hope the above is what you call my wikilink; I am afraid I am not conversant with Wikipedia. Could you kindly explain why my page was deleted? My aim was to honor my father's memory by filling in details that were left out on the VAM joint page. I had difficulty providing references other than what I mentioned because most of my sources have now been long retired or have passed away. I hope you can help me or at least explain why I cannot achieve my aim. Thanks and regards. Cecile Gallina-Duret 15:27, 24 February 2018 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cecile Gallina-Duret (talk • contribs)
- No it was not a wikilink! But I have now provided a piped wikilink to it somewhere on this page. If you had provided a proper wikilink to the alleged VAM joint page you would have seen it come out red so I have no idea what page you are talking about. The deletion reason of U5 was appropriate because it did not look like a wikipedia article - no opening sentence, total absence of wikilinks, user signature, etc.. Stale draft would have been a better deletion reason - it had been sitting untouched in user space for more than three years. The guy probably stands a good chance of being deemed notable if you can find decent references.
- Restored to draft:Jean Duret. There is no time limit on converting it to a proper article but if you leave it more than six months between edits, it will probably get deleted. Have you considered creating a bio about him in the French Wikipedia? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:41, 24 February 2018 (UTC)

- Your deletion request was perfectly explicit so you have only yourself to blame. But why ask others: what was preventing you applying a {{db-author}} tag? Please reply. So do it now. Wait for the deletion to happen then do the move. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:41, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
