Rajiul Huda Dipto
Hi, I have created a page titled Rajiul Huda Dipto. The record is showing that it was previously deleted. Actually, I was not aware of that. I do not know why that was been deleted but now if you review this page which I have created, I am sure you will find no errors. I hope to have your co-operation. Thank you, Shotok Hasan (talk) 22:02, 27 January 2019 (UTC)

My sandbox
My sandbox was deleted without discussion when I was in the process of creating a new article. Can I get the history back so I can finish the article. That was extremely inconvenient. — Mcelite (talk) 20:32, 29 January 2019 (UTC)
- Mcelite, I know Wikipedia disk space seems to be unlimited but seeing you do five edits when one would do seems like a waste of space. More importantly, it makes the edit history difficult and ponderous to read. Please use "show preview". Also learn to provide a wikilink when you talk about a page.
- The most recent of your deleted edits still contained a massive copyvio: "Robinson grew up on … basketball for the final time". I have restored the rest of the page. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:14, 30 January 2019 (UTC)

Suman Kumar Mallick
Hi, I see that in 2018, you blocked the creation of the above article. Is it possible to allow its creation? It is already exists in pretty much every language (German and French to name a few). -- Biografer (talk) 00:40, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
- Someone who has done 45,000 edits ought to know to provide a link when they talk about a page. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:14, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
Fine, I was expecting an explanation, not criticism, but ok. Here: Suman Kumar Mallick. -- Biografer (talk) 18:02, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
- Incredible! 45,000 edits and you still do not understand the difference between Suman Kumar Mallick and Suman Kumar Mallick. But I will reply. "Pretty much every language" is a ridiculous exaggeration but admittedly a dozen or so seems impressive and we see the curious situation that he is apparently notable in the Lallans and Wales but not in England. But look a bit further and we see that the Welsh version will probably be deleted shortly and the Danish version was deleted with a unanimous set of slet !votes. Probably all of them were created by Shrey20 or SachTd2008 both now globally blocked - the French and German Wikis allow creation by IP addresses so we cannot tell. The versions we can see are on less fiercely policed wikis or ones with less stringent rules. Take the matter to DRV if you must. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:40, 31 January 2019 (UTC)
UFC on ESPN 4
Hi RHaworth, Greeting to you. I have created more than 30 UFC event articles in Wikipedia and I am one of the NPP and AfC reviewers in Wikipedia. I am here to request to restore the deletion of the above page which I have created where you have deleted under G3 - UFC on ESPN 4 as the event is well sourced by independent, reliable sources by press (UFC on ESPN 4 is the last event on the second quarter of 2019 on June 29, 2019 - see source here - [1] and I believe the nominator has mistakenly thought ESPN 4 is one of the channels of ESPN but we (the MMA community) refer to the 4 as the fourth (numbered the event) event to be broadcasted in ESPN. (note: prior to 2019 UFC events have been broadcasted in FOX). Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has been hosting more than 460 events for the last 25 years and is the largest MMA fight promoter in the world - see here List of UFC events. UFC signed a 5 year contract with ESPN - see here - [2]. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 05:06, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
- Please add to this series of articles a link to ESPN to explain that bit of the title. Given that UFC on ESPN 3 has not yet happened, it seems distinctly premature to be writing anything about No. 4. But I have restored it. Spshu, if you still think it is an hoax, raise the matter at MfD. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:14, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, I assumed that you are referring to another channel, but the sources still support my position. @CASSIOPEIA:, what the source say rules and none of the sources indicated any event, card or any thing else designated "UFC on ESPN 4". The only number events at the sources are "UFC 236", "UFC 237" and "UFC 238". Secondly, looking at the draft, none of the sources make it notable as the fourth fight on ESPN (you designate as "UFC on ESPN 4") is cover routinely with the other events "UFC 236", "UFC 237" and "UFC 238", etc. at the MMA news sites plus have a primary source (ESPN Media Zone - media carriage partner). So the event does not meet notability. Spshu (talk) 16:12, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
- Spshu, Hi RHaworth, thank you for your quick respond, I
have just check, but can not find the UFC on ESPN 4 in the system yet. Kindly help to restore.(I have seen where you have moved to - apologies and thank you very much) I have added the UFC event series to ESPN- see here Programming
- Spshu, Hi RHaworth, thank you for your quick respond, I
- Also I add back some of my message which you removed as I need the info to explain how UFC event works. To you question, UFC on ESPN 4 is on June 29, 2019 it is about 5 months away which is not too early to have a page as it is not a year or 2 years from now. That is the reason, the events in UFC will only release 3-7 ahead of the event (1st and 2nd quarter of 2019 and not 4rd and 4th quarter of 2019 yet) since (1) the fight match ups come in piece meals, (2) fight match ups and background info are not filled as per in series event fashion (example a fight match up already announced in UFC 237 (May 11, 2019) before UFC on ESPN 3 (April 27, 2019) or [[UFC on ESPN+ 8 (May 4, 2019)) and that is the reason (just as all other event like Olyimpics, FIFA world cup and etc the article are created long before the event taken place).
- Spshu Greetings to you. Pls see below why and how UFC event works.
- UFC presently has 3 different type of event name, (1) PPV events (flag ship events) - they will be name as per UFC 221, UFC 234 so forth and so on (2) UFC Fight Night on ESPN+ xxx such as UFC on ESPN+ 4, UFC on ESPN+ 6, so on and so forth and UFC on ESPN such as UFC on ESPN 1, UFC on ESPN 2 so on and so forth. If you look at the source here [3] and the second quarter [4] then you would see we number the events for UFC Fight Night on ESPN+ and UFC on ESPN for the sake to identify the name initially until the headlines are confirmed, we could not identify which events we are referring to instead of using UFC on ESPN on xdate xmonth xyear (there are about 40 events per year which mean about 1.5 weeks per event - that would be alot of dates and months to remember and it does not make sense to have the articles title to name with date and month on them) but using numbering instead. We have been created the article in such fashion for the last 460+ event in Wikipedia and the article name would move once the headliners matchup is confirmed for the last 10 years in Wikipedia. - see List of UFC events and also pls stroll all the way down and have a look at the UFC event table for how the UFC events are named.
- See below on the background.
- From 2019 onward, ESPN will broadcast 2 events in ESPN channel and about 6 events in ESPN+ channel each quarter of the year. It is the norm the press would outline the event by number in the initial stage and we here also follow, (such as (examples) UFC on Fox 10, UFC on Fox 22, UFC Fight Night 122, UFC Fight Night 131 and now with ESPN it would be (examples) UFC on ESPN+ 1, UFC on ESPN+ 6, UFC on ESPN 1, UFC on ESPN 2, UFC on ESPN 3 and UFC on ESPN 4 (As of today, it has announced a total of 11 event to be broadcasted in ESPN+ and 4 events in ESPN. - see here for the first quater announcement by press [5] and the second quarter [6]. We create the event articles based on numbering as always has been for the last 460+ UFC events created in Wikipedia. This is because the confirmed headliners will only determined by the promoter (UFC) at close date of the event and once it is announced we the editors would change the article name to reflect the same. For example I created UFC on ESPN 1 and now the headliners have been confirmed we moved and redirected the page name to UFC on ESPN: Ngannou vs. Velasquez, same as UFC on ESPN 2 to UFC on ESPN: Barboza vs. Gaethje, UFC on ESPN+ 4 to UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. dos Santos, UFC on ESPN+ 6 to UFC Fight Night: Thompson vs. Pettis so on and so forth. This is same as previous event such as (example) UFC on Fox 23 changed and redirected to to UFC on Fox: Shevchenko vs. Peña, UFC on Fox 31 to UFC on Fox: Lee vs. Iaquinta 2.
- For those events that the headliners have not been confirmed, it will remain in the "numbering" names (examples) - UFC on ESPN 3, UFC on ESPN 4, UFC on ESPN+ 9,UFC on ESPN+ 11 so on and so forth. - pls see the full list of all UFC events for the last 25 years (more than 460 events) created in Wikipedia - List of UFC events. For the next 2 quater (third and fourth quater of the 2019), there will be UFC on ESPN 5, UFC on ESPN 6, UFC on ESPN 7 and UFC on ESPN 8 be created and also UFC Fight Night on ESPN+ 12 -24, plus PPV event (flagship events) such as UFC 234 (created) , UFC 240, UFC 242 and etc will be created. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 20:08, 30 January 2019 (UTC)

Thunder Alley ABC photo deletion
Hello RHaworth, I see that you deleted my photo upload of Thunder Alley ABC. It appeared in an article about Kelly Vint Castro and as she was a young actress on the series for 2 seasons playing Claudine. I believe it is the only photo that depicts Kelly in TV series as all of the others on the internet have watermarks on them. this photo will only be used in this article and for no other purpose. May I upload it by adding an explanation in the "use rationale"? Thank you for your assistance, Pennyframstad (talk) 18:31, 30 January 2019 (UTC)

Deletion of Marc Lesser page
Hi Roger, I saw that you deleted the Wikipedia page for Marc Lesser developed by Toasterlyreasons. I had originally developed a page for Marc Lesser with best intentions and a focus on the Wikipedia rules and regulations to ensure that all information is properly referenced and written in an objective way, unbiased and with a perspective on relevance for Wikipedia. While some moderators agreed on the relevance and proper development of the page, others disagreed and decided to delete the page. After it got deleted I let go of the whole project and decided not to pursue it further.
Toasterlyreasons had done some work on a Wikipedia page about myself several years ago and I recently asked if she'd be willing to look at making a new page about Marc Lesser. The new page she attempted to create was completely independent from what I created several months ago. Toasterlyreasons has also been blocked from posting after the article was deleted.
Your work as a moderator is essential to ensure the quality of entries on Wikipedia and I trust it is often difficult to distinguish between valuable material, junk, and scam. Please review the work by Toasterlyreasons completely independently from any previous work I did and communicate with her to get her writing as a valuable addition to Wikipedia. Warmly, Fbrody - this link does not work currently as you deleted the page connected to my account that has been around since 2006 - please restore.
On a side note - I like your Coal and Wine photo project - I have a soft spot for obscure British markers standing in the landscape. Last time I’ve been to Croydon was some 50 years ago when I spent a summer with a friend in East Grinstead. East Grinstead station still had gas lighting. Time flies. — Florian Brody (talk) 20:21, 31 January 2019 (UTC)
- You or your toasterly collaborator can re-submit a bio of Marc Lesser via AfC but don't hold out too much hope of it being accepted. As to your user page: it was a blatant example of using Wikipedia as a free host. But Florian Brody in mainspace created by the same toasterly collaborator has stuck so you don't even need a user page of that sort. Feel free to create a new user page: written in the first person and concentrating on what you do on Wikipedia. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:13, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
My draft: Mr. Pyle
I copied and pasted the edits from Gaben because I do not know how to write things on Wikipedia. The page was only a draft and I did not request for it to be posted yet. Can I get my page back because I was planning to erase the data and refill it with information that I know? It was only a draft. — SkrubNoob (talk) 00:50, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
- "Erase the data and refill it " - I have done the erase bit. Now you can get on and do the refill bit. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:13, 1 February 2019 (UTC)

Draft:New Renaissance
I really wish you wouldn't have deleted my draft, that took me HOURS to complete literally to exhaustion. And it was not personal advertising. The links to the PDF and artwork were contributions to the New Renaissance. I really don't want to start all over. If undeleted, I will place Lunela's artworks in a gallery on the page, instead of including a social media link. The social media account was meant to be shared to enjoy some of the more recent works of the New Renaissance, and I will remove the link and create a gallery on-page. Also, I was not soliciting myself, I was discussing Lunela Esteliana, one of the original artists who partook in the initialization and forefront of the New Renaissance. I have some of her work that is not on social media that I really wanted to post and share as it captures the energy of the movement in quite an interesting manner. Tell me what I need to do to get my page back, I was very upset because I literally worked myself to exhaustion until about 5AM, checked a few hours later, and *poof* it's gone with no way of even retrieving what I had created. That was devastating. If you don't want to have a New Renaissance or if you're trying to prevent one by blocking information, then that's a shame. This movement could really benefit a lot of people and I would like to be able to express my current knowledge of it. That's all. Sincerely, Ashley Novum. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Szaxindora (talk • contribs) 19:29, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
- Please read this. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:13, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
My email is <redacted>. Goal: Remove the social media, upload the gallery instead. If anyone knows of any other artists trying to make this movement happen, feel free to let me know and I'll add a paragraph and your artwork. I'm really excited about this. -- Szaxindora 01:32, 2 February 2019 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Szaxindora (talk • contribs)
- Text emailed. Uploading the gallery is more likely to make matters worse. Please curb your excitement - I am very dubious about the notability of the "movement". — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:22, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
Hi there, you have just deleted a page I spent hours creating for an upcoming Australian movie Danger Close: The Battle of Long Tan even though as soon as I got the warning notice and before you deleted it, I immediately followed all the instructions to fix it, such as placing a message not to delete it along with a reason that I was removing the problematic Premise text and replacing it with entirely new and original text. I had already replaced the problematic Premise section with entirely original new text. I had already corrected the issue and followed the stated procedures as soon as it was brought to my attention. How can I recover the work that I did and/or have the last completely corrected and updated version reinstated? Thanks in advance, User:Australianfilms 10:13, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- OK you had fixed the copyvio but, given that the movie is not due for release until late this year and that your CoI sticks out a mile, it was blatant spam. Text emailed. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:22, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
Don Snyder page deletion
I wrote the Don Snyder page, which has now been erased. I have been doing research about this photographer for the last couple of years and have had the opportunity to work directly in his archive for almost a year, so I had access to the citation material and other information about him, which I believed that I adequately supplied. Because there is scant info about him on the internet – nowhere is there any holistic biographical information – I wanted to make sure that he had an in-depth page on the #1 place that people look for information about a historical figures, be they artists, scholars, statesmen, etc.
You deemed the page to be "Unambiguous advertising or promotion" but I had attempted to write a well-cited article to provide as much information as possible, in good faith, to be read by people doing research into the 1960s NY counterculture. The original article I wrote had 32 citations, which I can't confirm now because the page was deleted. Can you please send me the deleted material for future reference or improvement? Can you please let me know what you object to so that I can get the page back up? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shultzcm (talk • contribs) 20:32, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- Restored. Praxidicae, if it was spam, what was being sold? He has been dead for eight years and inactive for a lot more than that. If you really think it is spam, take it to AfD. — RHaworth (talk · contribs)#
- RHaworth, last I checked, G11 covered dead, living and everything in between. It is riddled with ridiculously fluffy nonsense that we would delete anywhere else, I'm not sure how being dead exempts a subject from WP:NPOV or WP:PROMO. I will admit that I make mistakes while tagging, though I don't believe I did here, perhaps it would be better draftified but I'm also not sure why I'm being chided for tagging when I am not the one who deleted it... — Praxidicae (talk) 21:03, 4 February 2019 (UTC)

Hi there, I'd be ever so grateful if you could let me have a copy of the page you deleted so that I can try to rewrite it, using other sources than just the software website. Deletion of page "Gary and His Demons"
Hi RHaworth, my page entitled Gary and His Demons was just deleted by you without discussion and I would like to request it be restored, at least as a draft for me to revise and resubmit. As a new contributor that was a lot of work learning to edit Wikipedia properly which has now been swiftly deleted (after over a month of waiting for any review), and I believe the copyright issue is very easily solved. I did not understand that using the broadcaster-published episode descriptions could be a problem, but if it is I am happy to reformat appropriately. Please let me know if this can be corrected ASAP as I have already spent a lot of time waiting for the review and would like to resubmit quickly. Best, -- Leeporterwiki (talk) 16:30, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

Thanks RHaworth, that will help - but can you confirm it was only the episode descriptions that caused this page to be deleted? I would hate to adjust only to have the page removed again a month and a half from now. Would it solve the issue to directly quote the broadcaster on these episode descriptions, with citation? -- Leeporterwiki (talk) 18:13, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

Rocking the Valley
Hi, i'd like to restore this page and get it set up properly to display in wiki.... Here's the back story on it. I've been working on it five years. the main page is www.facebook.com/rockinthevalleysjkr. The main website is www.rockingthevalley.com. it's all about the music in an area of Pennsylvania, USA called the Lehigh Valley. We're a hotspot of musicians located about half way between New York and Philadelphia. We do video, audio, support kids, new artists, all sorts of music. I've won two awards from our local Lehigh Valley Music Association for Outstanding Broadcast. We've had over twenty nominations.

Mechanical Animals Tour sandbox
Hi. Would there be a possibility of you partially undoing the outright deletion of this page? There was some good content there, so I hate seeing several months of work by a user being deleted on a copyvio issue which could've easily been fixed. Perhaps merge the page with the user's primary sandbox, so its edit history could be seen (and the offending content being removed before recreation)? Hi RHaworth, I made an article last week on StealthChat and it got deleted due to the speedy deletion rules on wikipedia. It has been in my notice that there was another article deleted on the subject due to unambiguous advertising. It was understandable for the previous article but the one that i made is more on the general information on its product. Therefore, could you help me to figure out how can I avoid the speedy deletion if the page intention was totally different? (talk) 10:08, 12 February 2019 (PST)
- @Iwanindraprasto: This one's a bit of a tricky case. There was a deletion discussion, but midway through it was short-circuted because the article was found to be a unambiguous copyright violation and immediately deleted. (This must happen - see User:Ritchie333/Plain and simple guide to copyvios for a more in-depth discussion). As there hasn't really been consensus about whether we should have an article on this topic or not, I have restored the latest version, which doesn't appear to violate any copyrights, to Draft:StealthChat. Follow instructions on that page to see what to do next. — Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 18:12, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
Enneagram Tripe
Hi, an article I created Enneagram Tritype was deleted a few weeks ago. I am part of the same group, whose member has the source article: http://www.katherinefauvre.com/tritype. I was asked by the author of that website to create a wiki article, to reinstate it, as it was deleted sometime in 2011, and now remains on the very website. But the G12 issue pushed for a speedy deletion. What form of formal permission do I need to produce, seeing as how the author herself has asked for such a wiki page to be created? As for G11, I will try to re-write it from a more neutral perspective, with criticism and a broader view. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Erscheinung (talk • contribs) 12:25, 13 February 2019 (UTC)
- Follow this advice. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:49, 13 February 2019 (UTC)
Hello, It seems to me that Church of India (CIPBC) would be a legitimate redirect to Church of India, Burma and Ceylon, which covers the topic. The page has incoming links. You are the author of an indef-block of this page back in 2012 for spam/copyvio issues, however this issue is probably long gone and the proposed redirect target has only been written in 2018. My request there was (rudely) closed and I was redirected to you as the blocking admin. Would you consider editing the page to turn it into a redirect, or lifting the block, or any other answer? — Place Clichy (talk) 16:06, 13 February 2019 (UTC)

Edwin D. Fuller Draft Page Restore
Hi there! I was editing a draft page for Edwin D. Fuller that was recently deleted. Another admin had been helping me re-write to meet Wiki's guidelines. It was deleted while I was still in the process of fixing everything. Is it possible for you to restore the draft as it still needed work? Thank you very much. Imjustvisiting (talk) 20:30, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
- You still have not learned to use wikilinks. He is not "another admin": he has a name. It was deleted as copyvio so read this. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:33, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
VITA Zahnfabrik
Hi RHaworth, may I ask why you deleted yesterday my following request without any comment or explanation? Did I make any mistake? What can I else do for restoring the article? Thanks.
Hi RHaworth, long ago (in 2017) you deleted my page entitled User talk:Dinkelberger/VITA Zahnfabrik neu which should become a new version of the before deleted page VITA Zahnfabrik. I would like to edit the offending parts within a few days and therefore ask for a restoration either in user or draft space. Thanks in advance, Dinkelberger (talk) 08:27, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
- In posting your previous message you deleted an existing discussion thread so I reverted your edits as vandalism. Kindly have the decency to wait until someone who a) does not shout the word Vita and b) has no CoI, thinks your company is notable and writes about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs)#
London Skolars season 2019
Hi RHaworth, Please may I request you restore page London Skolars 2019 season, which I asked to be speedily deleted in error. Thank you, Gary — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gary Calder1966 (talk • contribs)
- There has never been a page called London Skolars 2019 season. So give me a link to the real page — if it existed. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:33, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
Hi RHaworth, please accept my apologies, the page was called 2019 London Skolars season, deleted at 23:34 on 14 February 2019. I think the link is https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/2019_London_Skolars_season Kind regards Gary — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gary Calder1966 (talk • contribs)
- Which is the best of these links: a) https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/2019_London_Skolars_season , b) 2019 London Skolars season and c) 2019 London Skolars season and why? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:57, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
Draft:Crisis on Infinite Earths (Arrowverse)
Hi, I see you recently deleted Draft:Crisis on Infinite Earths (Arrowverse). Could you please restore it as other editors have contributed to it with the intention to move it to the mainspace once production has begun. Thank you! - Brojam (talk) 20:44, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) who is the creator of the draft? It no longer shows his name in the history page, but I would like to see what other drafts he created (which were later deleted) and contemplate whether to recreate them differently. -- Kailash29792 (talk) 07:07, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
- I am never happy with G5 - I say: if an article is valid, what does it matter who created it? It's basically a matter of stuff created by Itsbasicallyaidan (talk · contribs) . Reviewing these deletions:
- Draft:Crisis on Infinite Earths (Arrowverse) - already restored
- Draft:Titans (season 1) - "created"
- The Purge (season 1) - restored
- Draft:Mr. Glass - "created"
- Draft:Gotham (season 5) - now in mainspace
- Draft:Deathstroke (film) - too stubby
- Draft:Mister Quick - was empty
- Also created by Itsbasicallyaidan:
- Draft:The Flash (film) - different version exists
- Kailash29792, I have sent you the full list of this sinner's deleted stuff. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:41, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks RHaworth, and nothing in the list is of interest to me. Let the deleted content stay deleted. Kailash29792 (talk) 13:45, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
Thank you very much..
..For simply deleting Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/VeronicaWelsh24. I was afraid there was going to be some sort of bureaucratic mess about it. — Bishonen | talk 20:20, 16 February 2019 (UTC).
- Bishonen, something I really deplore is the undefined use of jargon and initialisms. What on earth is a CU ? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:32, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
- CheckUser. Surely that's a common piece of Wikipedia jargon, especially at SPI. I'm sorry, I mean it's common at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet Investigations. But somebody used the initialism TCM the other day, expecting me to understand that it meant "traditional Chinese medicine". I wonder how much time they saved by using it. Infobox Region of Italy has a redlink
I was only dimly aware of the proposal to delete Template:Infobox region of Italy, but I just noticed the deletion of its sandbox, which I still had in my watchlist. I don't know who took on the task of converting all its uses to Template:Infobox settlement, but at least one was missed: Tuscany. Do you know who took on the conversion of the regions' infoboxes? — David Brooks (talk) 05:00, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
Or I could have looked to see who changed other regions: it's 77.183.150.15 and the topic is being discussed at the talk page. There are those who think the template should not have been deleted, apparently. As it stands, someone who is better than I at template programming will have to fix Tuscany (and any others that slipped the net) by hand. — David Brooks (talk) 15:37, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
- David Brooks, I was minded to ignore you because in fifteen years of Wikipedia editing you have still not learned to provide link to the page about which you are talking, Tuscany may have slipped the net because it used a spurious capital R on region. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:32, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
- I didn't link the infobox because I didn't think it useful to link to a by-now nonexistent page. Sorry if that misled you. Still, there are outstanding issues to do with the deletion that are being discussed at User talk:77.183.150.15. David Brooks (talk) 23:14, 17 February 2019 (UTC) ETA: And thanks for pointing out the capital R distinction. David Brooks (talk) 23:51, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
Need to guide
Can I inquire You about removing such as these pages Shia Islam/On this day/Dhu al-Hijjah/7, Shia Islam/On this day/Jumada al-awwal/1. You introduced me Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion but I don't know your reasons for deletion or how this page could be helpful to save pages. Regards! Saff V. (talk) 07:36, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
- As you can see from other threads on this page, I deplore people who fail to provide links. You have done something worse: you have given spurious links. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:32, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
Contested deletion for Tilting_weir
Dear R Haworth, The page tilting weir has been deleted just after I apologised for my oversight and modified the content so, as far as I understand them, Wikipedia copyright rules were no longer being violated. I'm hoping the deletion and modifications were almost simultaneous meaning my corrections made the text suitable for Wikipedia and you will consequentially be able to undo the deletion. Regards, Ric Alston (talk) 22:26, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
- Restored. You do not need to link to the word weir every time you use it - once per section is more than enough! The page desperately needs a link to decent schematic drawings. Indeed what is the difference between a tilting weir and a Fischbauchklappe? If none, use the images from the German article. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:13, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
I thought I knew everything there was to know worth knowing about tilting weirs but the Fish Belly Valve is clearly a type of tilting weir. All the tilting weirs I have come across do not have the swollen centre in the plate creating a curved surface. They are flat. Thank you very much for that insight. I am collecting schematics and pictures. So far the good ones are very clearly copyrighted and no use for Wikipedia. My search is continuing but with the page live I have some leverage with photographers and manufacturers who are likely to help me. Also thank you for the linking advice. I'm sure you can tell I'm a novice but I'm keen to improve. I'm particularly driven about the tilting weir because I have found so many inaccurate reports about them. Especially in the Leeds development https://news.leeds.gov.uk/innovative-moveable-weirs-now-in-place-at-leeds-flood-alleviation-scheme which has given journalists, including the BBC, the idea that Leeds was the first time the tilting weir had been used for flood alleviation. It may have been the first time titling weirs have been moved with neoprene bladders but definitely isn't the first time they've been used for flood alleviation. I wonder that that sort of mistake isn't uncommon especially without a Wikipedia reference. Many thanks again Ric Alston (talk) 08:16, 18 February 2019 (UTC)
