Derrick Anderson is an American Politician, lawyer, and military officer He is a former officer of the United States Army Special Forces, also known as the Green Berets.[1]
Anderson run in 2022 United States House of Representatives elections in Virginia in the same district However he lost in the Republican Primary to Yesli Vega.[2] He is Republican Nominee in 2024 United States House of Representatives elections in Virginia and will face Eugene Vindman in the General Election.[3]
Early life
[edit]Anderson was born and raised in Virginia. He worked in his Mother's restaurant While attending High School. He enrolled in Virginia Tech, where he graduated with a BS in Political Science.
In 2019 Anderson graduated in Georgetown University with Juris doctor Degree.[1]
Military service and career
[edit]After graduating from Virginia Tech, Anderson joined United States Army. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant he assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division as a Platoon Leader, where he deployed in Iraq for several months. He also served in United States Army Special Forces, known as Green Beret, where He became A Team Leader. He deployed in several countries in Middle East. He served as Detachment Commander in Two Forces.[4]
Anderson also served in the White House during President Donald Trump Administration.[5]
