The 2024 New York State Senate election was held on November 5, 2024.[1] Primary elections were held on June 25, 2024.[2] In this election, the Democratic Party retained its State Senate majority, but lost its veto-proof (two-thirds) majority.[3]
Outgoing incumbents

- 46th District: Democrat Neil Breslin did not seek re-election.[4]
- 50th District: Democrat John Mannion did not seek re-election; instead, he ran for the U.S. House of Representatives.[5]
