Point coloration

[edit]

Hey, I see you've been taking a shot at this too. Someone took the initiative to split out temperature-dependent point coloration from the other types, which I think was a good idea, but also removed discussion of all other types, which I think was not ideal. However, it turns out those sections were the only ones with sources, and all sections about other types of point coloration were entirely unsourced. So when I restored the article, I also inadvertently left it entirely without sources. Oops. Anyway, it now has the exact inverse of the sections that it should - perfect duplicates of all sections already on Acromelanism, and none of the types left out of that. Working on sourcing now, but I won't have a ton of time tonight or tomorrow so might be a little slow. Iamnotabunny (talk) 01:16, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Iamnotabunny Whoops! I'll keep an eye on it. I dream of horses (Hoofprints) (Neigh at me) 01:45, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Kenyanresearcher (05:42, 1 October 2024)

[edit]

so the article, the economy of kenya (and a lot of other articles about kenya) reference pretty dated information. I would like to update it. any tips? also the currencies eg for budgets etc are quoted in USD, should I quote them in kes instead? --Kenyanresearcher (talk) 05:42, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Kenyanresearcher The number one thing you should know about Wikipedia is that you need to source your edits when adding/updating information. The links I gave you in the welcome template might help with that. Referencing for beginners definitely will. Good sources to use are newspapers, books, etc. Basically, anything that goes through an editorial process.
As for conversions, you can use {{To USD}} or {{To EUR}} (for Euros) for that. I dream of horses (Hoofprints) (Neigh at me) 06:45, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Sjamzen (08:01, 2 October 2024)

[edit]

want to make a school certificate grade 12 online --Sjamzen (talk) 08:01, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Sjamzen I'm not helping you do that. I can help you out with editing Wikipedia, which might help you legitimately graduate the 12th grade. Graduating the 12th grade will help you edit Wikipedia, and the cycle continues. Look on your talk page for more information. Declined speedy deletion: Murugan

[edit]

Hi, I dream of horses! I wanted to let you know that I have declined your G12 speedy deletion nomination of Murugan for two reasons:

  1. The sections of the article that supposedly contained copyrighted material could be removed. In some cases, it's better to remove the copyrighted material from the article, then request that article revisions containing copyrighted material be deleting (i.e., WP:REVDEL).
  2. The sources cited for copyrighted material copied from Wikipedia, rather than vice versa. Looking at the flickr source, for example, you can see that the author included "WIKIPEDIA" at the end of the text to indicate the text was from Wikipedia. Additionally, the information in both sources was in the Wikipedia article before those sources were created.

Thank you for keeping a look out and working to make Wikipedia a valuable resource! Take care, Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 15:13, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Trout

[edit]

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Thank you for protecting Wikipedia against the scourge of no-name self published blogs like The New York Times

@Mach61 Uh, I don't know what I was thinking then. I deserve the trouting. I dream of horses (Hoofprints) (Neigh at me) 20:07, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
