Poweramp
[edit]Why you moved Poweramp page to draft? I wrote Under construction in the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zafar24 (talk • contribs) 2:06, March 1, 2016
- @Zafar24: It was some time since you put up the under construction template, so I decided to move it to a draft so you would have more time. I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 04:06, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
Filth City prod
[edit]Sorry, didn't intend to leave that unpatrolled. Is there a subtle reason why Twinkle doesn't automatically mark prods as patrolled, when WP:NPPLOG says to mark "any page that is proposed for deleetion" as patrolled? Or should I flag it as a bug? --McGeddon (talk) 09:32, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- @McGeddon: I'd assume it's a bug, but I wonder why, if that's the case, it hasn't been fixed. -- I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 00:09, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
New merge proposal
[edit]Hello, I noticed another merge case for the magazines H Para Hombres and Revista H. I checked to see if these are the same magazine and noticed that yes, they are. Thanks, --Egeymi (talk) 19:18, 1 March 2016 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of David Huron
[edit]Hi Firstly, I apologize for leaving the David Huron article in its source-unsupported state for so long. If you believe that the subject's lack of notability is genuine, and significantly evident that the page should be deleted, please go ahead and delete it. Before you do, perhaps I might just explain the backstory. I tend to work offline, and write articles, before posting them. In the course of doing that, I have come across people from time to time who are notable, but who are not the subject of a Wikipedia article. So I have created that page and written the article. However, in the case of David Huron, the article Autonomous sensory meridian response that I was writing when I realized there was no article on him, became so challenging and took so long, I needed a break. So I created and linked to it, and did a very cursory outline for an article intending to come back if nobody else improved upon it. But I have not had a chance to do that yet; and rather than promise a deadline it is best that you proceed with deletion. I do find it surprising that the subject would be considered not notable enough for Wikipedia though. A cursory online glance reveals his position as a proliferate author and contributor to his field, though admittedly I have not yet sourced secondary citations to support that. Again, please accept my apologies. The article was the result of a genuine process of scholarship, but which I simply have not completed, but based on an assumption of notability, which of course was wrong on my part. Prolumbo (talk) 10:50, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Prolumbo: I removed the deletion tag. You can now take your time.
- Look into userfying when you create articles--now-a-days you can have someone "review" a userspace draft if you want, but I think you can still technically move the draft into mainspace yourself. -- I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 13:54, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
- Ahaha. OK. That's useful. Many thanks for your input and patience. Prolumbo (talk) 09:49, 4 March 2016 (UTC)

Linkrot
[edit]Thanks for your work horsedreamer. I was just wondering if it was a good idea to add the link rot tag to new pages that are marked as under construction as some of the refs may disappear in the process of building the page? Philafrenzy (talk) 01:44, 7 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Philafrenzy: I figure if it's been a couple of hours since the page has been edited, it'll continue to be a while before those refs disappear. Some of the existing refs may still be bare. So, the answer is yes. -- I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 01:48, 7 March 2016 (UTC)

Query and Explanation
[edit]I dream of horses The reason why I made the edits here was because the content was having unnecessary details which were written in advertorial format. So I made it in a neutral and concise format and had supported with citations. Nehagoenka1808 (talk) 07:25, 10 March 2016 (UTC)

Have a look at
[edit]… Markus Rothkranz if you have time. There is a mess of unsourced information I have cataloged, and a deletion discussion. I am supporting non-deletion for the moment, but people who want the article to stay need to fix its clear major issues. Cheers. Le Prof Leprof 7272 (talk) 16:34, 11 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Leprof 7272: I went ahead and nominated for CSD. If that's declined, it may be strongly advisable to take it to AfD. Eventualism is not an option for BLPs, particularly if there's a "mess of unsourced information". -- I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 07:28, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
New Buckenham..... my deleted edits....
[edit]hi I've been 'reported' - somebody keeps deleting correct material I edit in, to replace faulty stuff I previously put in. the previous stuff had no 'citations' and 'sources', the new stuff does, some editor who knows nothing about this village constantly immediately deletes my carefully researched/ sourced stiff. Problem is not me it is the instantaneous deletions of stuff by somebody who hasn't even read it....... what do I do... ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Observer900 (talk • contribs) 18:41, 13 March 2016 (UTC)

Canadian Parliamentary Review merged with Commonwealth Parliamentary Association
[edit]Hi, I'm not sure merging the Canadian Parliamentary Review stub with the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association page would work very well. The CPR is a fairly old political science journal that has little direct association with the main CPA (which publishes the Parliamentarian as its house journal). I would suggest reverting it to a journal stub or grouping it with other poli sci journals/publications if it isn't stub-worthy. 174.116.239.125 (talk) 23:41, 12 March 2016 (UTC)Cdnhistorybuff174.116.239.125 (talk) 23:41, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
- Is there any reason why you didn't bring this up before? Like, for example, you were truly unaware that I was actually going to revert it? -- I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 08:21, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
Hi, Yes, I wasn't aware that changes were being considered for it. I don't have alerts set up for any articles. This stub/article had been in existence for about 10 years prior to reversion, and I don't check it often because not much really changes on it and I'm not a frequent Wiki contributor/editor. I missed the week in between the proposal and your decision and only commented when I noticed a significant change had been made. 192.75.172.2 (talk) 15:37, 14 March 2016 (UTC)Cdnhistorybuff192.75.172.2 (talk) 15:37, 14 March 2016 (UTC)

Point of correction: A1 road (Zimbabwe) is not A1 highway (Botswana) as someone edited the page to mean. The Automobile Association of 1975 puts it clearly so that A1 road (Zimbabwe) is a road in Zimbabwe running from Harare northwards to Chirundu, Zimbabwe border post. http://www.rhodesia.me.uk/images/AARoadMapOfRhodesia1975_final6LoRes_000.jpg Presently is A1 road (Zimbabwe) a regional road corridor R3 Road (Zimbabwe) as shown on Map 9.2 (Road Transport Network of Zimbabwe)] c/o the African Development Bank document: http://www.afdb.org/fileadmin/uploads/afdb/Documents/Generic-Documents/11.%20Zimbabwe%20Report_Chapter%209.pdf Can some remove A1 road (Zimbabwe) from Roads in Botswana to Roads in Zimbabwe because it still is a Zimbabwean Highway, alias A1 road (Zimbabwe) jaisondlovu (talk) 11:55, 30 March 2016 (UTC)

Mackinac College History
[edit]I have been asked for proof fo my statements regarding the closure of Mackinac College for reasons other than economic. For those who wish proof I have transcripts of the townhall meetings of the students on Jan6 & 8 & 13th 1969 as well as the report of the student Investigative Committee (Jan 14, 1969) I also have Dr. Cornell's letter of Dec 23, 1968 in which the changes to Mackinac were announced, including ""In the future, however, students will be admitted and retained only if they share the basic purposes of Mackinac and wish to perticipate in the evolving programs of Up With People as a part of their education." Anyone wishing copies can get them by giving me a fax number and contact me at LDFL@fairpoint.net heading Mackinac
You want proof I've got it - no libel, no slander just facts and personal experience. I was there. Charles W. Robertson 66.243.201.81 (talk) 00:32, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
- "I was there" is, unfortunately, not something that is a reliable source. You're probably being truthful, but even people who are honest to a fault can misremember or forget something.
- You'll need to find sources that can be reasonably found in a library, or a historical society, and then, refraining from original research, write about what happened neutrally. If you can't do this, it's probably best not to insert the information. -- I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 01:44, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
