Hello there from Tennessee, United States of America. I’m a truck driver and am unloading in EAST LA at a huge food company. I just found out from the ones unloading me that WHITE CORN, in the form I hauled here, is only good for making pasta. So I got curious and looked it up. There is nothing in the description that mentions WHITE CORN. I truly feel this needs to be added or at least mentioned due to so much corn in the USA has been genetically modified or genetically engineered. There is organic white corn but it’s not used in industrial food production to feed the masses. Please let me know what you think.

Most people with official in their name are utter non-entities - I think they are pretending to be social media stars/rappers or something. In this case it looked like a name, and I searched for it and it's a Turkish name. Even if it's a business they still need to have edited to promote it. 99% of the 'official' names picked up by the bot are nn people. Secretlondon (talk) 17:09, 2 December 2023 (UTC)

I disagree. I didn't, initially, threaten to get them blocked, and I certainly wasn't doing it over "deleting talk page comments," but over changing the talk comments, a very important distinction. @CD967119 Wikis are user-generated and don't go through an editorial process before publication. Therefore, they aren't allowed to be used on Wikipedia. Hi! What is the protocol for links within an article to other wikipedia pages that are only loosely relevant to the originating article (which I see on occasion).

Purely as an example, let's say there's a page about a fashion model and within that article there is this sentence; "Jane Smith began her modeling career when she was discovered by a Ford Modeling Agency executive on her way to the grocery store to buy bread." There might be interlinks to wikipedia pages for "grocery store" and "bread". These links don't appear to be necessary or really add anything of value since what is being linked to is only nominally relevant to the article where the links originate from and virtually everyone knows what a grocery store is and what bread is.

Alternately, let's say you have an article about corner stores or bodegas, which still exist and were the precursors to grocery stores. In an article like that, you would expect to see "grocery store" linked to if the text appeared somewhere in the article because it's highly relevant to the content on the page where the link is originating from. Linking to "grocery store" in the context of a page about bodegas (via which readers can find out how they're related, the differences, etc.), makes perfect sense here where in the article about a model, linking to "grocery store" serves no real purpose.

@Aschn8787 My thoughts are that words like "grocery store" and "bread" should be known to the target reader of Wikipedia, and it's also tangentially related to Janes modeling career, so it doesn't make sense to link it.
