Own goals in the table
In the section for squad statistics, the table includes Manchester United's squad and each player's goals, appearances, and cards. Nowhere in the name SQUAD statistics indicate that we need to include every goal in favour of Manchester United. The table is meant for statistics for each player and information about the man united team. We would care about own goals made by Man United because one of the players on Manchester United made the own goal, whereas including an own goal made by a differing team completely drives away from the point of the table. Mwiqdoh (talk) 03:53, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
what???
Your logic makes no sense. We should include the hidden note for "mentally stunted" editors, but we can't include the visible note for "mentally stunted" readers? How does that make sense? You just claimed that "it should be obvious unless you're mentally stunted" but yet we included the hidden note? Explain this please. Mwiqdoh (talk) 17:44, 1 January 2022 (UTC)

Chiefs-Bills AFC Divisional Game Article Title
Hello, I just wanted to reach out and see what your thoughts were about the title of the Chiefs-Bills divisional game. I had changed it to '13 Seconds' and hoped it would stick. Perhaps it's not known by the title '13 Seconds' to everyone, but I think it's a fair reference to the game and I sort of don't understand the difference between using that as the title and other notable playoff game article titles like Epic in Miami or Ghost to the Post or Mile High Miracle. It's good that the search term '13 Seconds' redirects to this page, but I was hoping a change of the actual article title would be possible. Anyway, thanks for considering. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Botwin2015 (talk • contribs) 05:57, 27 January 2022 (UTC)

- @PeeJay: I take the point that BLP-violating trolls are a problem and I blocked the IP for a year (they have previous form). However, the reason you should not use an edit summary like in diff is that WP:DENY is the best procedure. The IP doesn't really believe what they wrote—it's just a way of getting attention and/or expressing irritation with the person they are attacking. The problem with such an edit summary is that it gives them attention and excites the human response of retaliation. Just use rollback or a bland revert with an edit summary like "rvv" (rv v = revert vandalism). Don't even mention the BLP problem. Being as boring as possible mean their vandalism is less fun which helps them find another website to make trouble. Johnuniq (talk) 04:22, 12 February 2022 (UTC)

Coaching trees
Quick question: Didn't the NFL project decide to remove or limit coaching trees? I thought I remembered that, so I removed them from the Jim E. Mora and Brian Billick articles. There are more, but I've only removed the ones that were on my watchlist. Thanks. (Oh, on the banned user comment, it was a poor joke on my part. Sorry.) BilCat (talk) 20:25, 7 March 2022 (UTC)

RE:Template:Welsh Premier League seasons
Sorry if you were wondering what was going on. I had problems with the templates and had to rename one as two templates were just duplicating themselves. I have ameded this now and there is now two season sections. One is League of Wales and the other is Welsh Premier League. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Onshore (talk • contribs) 21:54, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
Although the league changed in 2002? Also I didn't try to delete the League of Wales seasons as it was in use until 2002. I had to change League of Wales seasons to League of Wales seasons (1992-2002) because it was duplicating the information with Welsh Premier League seasons — Preceding unsigned comment added by Onshore (talk • contribs) 22:00, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
Okay fair point. Well it's now says "League of Wales / Welsh Premier League" hope you have no objections to this? and we'll leave it at that — Preceding unsigned comment added by Onshore (talk • contribs) 22:06, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
So what is going to happen when the Welsh Premier League is split into two divisions in a few seasons from now? P.S. formation for Brazil.
have a look at formation (association football) on wikipedia and have a look at 3-5-2 and you will see Brazil 2002 World Cup winner played it all the way throughout the tournament. Ronaldinho played as a central midfielder and Rivaldo played as a striker alongside Ronaldo and Cafu and Roberto Carlos played as wingers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.47.101.83 (talk • contribs) 15:28, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

The article Richmond Road ground has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. What I added for stats are usually included in official accounts of NFL games and especially the Super Bowl. Things such as punt returns, kickoff returns. Most fans looking for a stats page expect things like that; I think they would also want it here. To me, that is what I would consider as pertinent. But they made the All-Pro team, it doesnt matter if its first team or second team. I saw you removed the image of the review of the 2017-18 Premier League season I uploaded, citing that I could use a photo from flickr etc. The use of match day programs seems widespread though (e.g. FA Cup Finals), where you could make the same argument. Man Utd not ahead of Liverpool
You've made 4 reverts in a short space of time. I initially reported it but forgot I had not warned you. Would you like to self-revert (and in the process, withdraw your false claim that my content dispute with you is "vandalism") and then carry on the talk on the talk page? Or would you prefer me to reinstate the noticeboard report which is visible? --Marching on Leeds (talk) 10:54, 13 May 2022 (UTC)

Man Utd / Liverpool parity
Afternoon, you'll see I reverted both the Liverpool and Man Utd claims of parity out of the articles. Both claims are dependent upon referencing List of football clubs in England by competitive honours won which as we know is a big ol' piece of WP:SYNTH as no official count of trophies in any includes the SoL, but it squeeks by because it's a "list" and treats all SoL equally (even though it then conflicts with reliable sources when discussing those clubs actual trophy hauls). Have requested official sources covering the trophy total, which I know don't exist - and in most cases even exclude the modern Charity Shield and other "minor" competitions and one offs. If we have continued issues I suggest raising a topic on the main WP:FOOTBALL project page to discuss and resolve the discrepancy between our "list" and popular reliable sources. Koncorde (talk) 13:17, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
- On the above list article a discussion has been started about the SoL that will be of interest to you. Koncorde (talk) 11:09, 16 May 2022 (UTC)
Edit warring
Your recent editing history at AT&T Byron Nelson shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. wjematherplease leave a message... 05:56, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
- I don't know why you would choose edit-warring over discussion, especially when there is already a thread with your name on it at the 3RR noticeboard. Please reconsider your approach to collaborative editing. wjematherplease leave a message... 06:03, 17 May 2022 (UTC)

Request reason:
This block came totally out of the blue. The matter reported at WP:AN3 was resolved, and there was no warning about any further misconduct. If this relates to this specific edit, I think even User:Marching on Leeds would agree that their arithmetic was wrong and that my correction was justified. To that end, I would also like to appeal against User:Marching on Leeds’s block, as I have no doubt that (at least in their own mind), they were acting in good faith. – PeeJay 00:41, 18 May 2022 (UTC)
Decline reason:
The block has now expired. JBW (talk) 11:17, 25 May 2022 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- How has it been nearly two days since the above unblock request and no one has responded yet? It surely can't be the case that you're conveniently going to let the block run out before someone is available to address it? – PeeJay 22:07, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
- PeeJay, I converted your second unblock request just above into a comment. You are not permitted to have two unblock requests open at the same time.--Bbb23 (talk) 22:34, 19 May 2022 (UTC)

- I wish for it to be known that I fully support PeeJay's request for unblock, and agree that two days has been long enough, and this is coming from the main person who edit-warred with him. The matter is totally resolved and we no longer have a dispute at the article in question and are not likely to engage in edit wars of this nature again. Keeping him blocked is achieving absolutely nothing except anxiety for the individual. --Marching on Leeds (talk) 15:02, 20 May 2022 (UTC)

Here, I also support PeeJay will be unblocked as soon as possible based on the above. There have been good edits in the contributions before the latest block was given. - I wasn't aware of the backlog, thanks Iggy. Sorry for the attitude. – PeeJay 15:47, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
- The backlog is no excuse for a blocking admin not to review the block when that admin has already acknowledged the request enough to reformat it. PeeJay has seen a show of support from far and wide and there is little point allowing anyone to appeal blocks if the admins know in advance that they have no intention of reviewing them inside the time window. Bbb23 is clearly mucking about without so much as a pretext for this obscure behaviour. Whatever excuses the other admins have, they don't stretch to Bbb23. Arrogance of this level really ought to see admins stripped of their privileges. This is pure piss-assing about that any recent change patroller would have did in due course --Marching on Leeds (talk) 20:26, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
- Rest assured I will be lodging a complaint at WP:ANI against User:Bbb23 after this is over. This is unacceptable behaviour above and beyond whatever offence I may have committed. – PeeJay 20:33, 20 May 2022 (UTC)

Stop misusing wikipedia
You removed an image from the article Gareth Bale because you felt there was no value in it.. however, that's a personal viewpoint, not a fact, you then went on the image, you saw that there was a deletion request (NOT A CONSENSUS), you clicked on the deletion page and you left a request for it to be deleted because again.. you felt there was no value in the image.. The image was marked for deletion because another user was unsure whether the image was mine or stolen.. it is NOT intended for disgruntled users to leave a negative vote on as a means of removing it from the site.
You wrongfully added that a wikipedia upload MUST have had 'public attention', which is absolutely ridiculous because wikipedia relies on copyright free content whether they are noteworthy or not, you're simply making assumptions as you go along just because you have a personal take on how articles should look.
If you continue to misuse this site, I will be reporting you. Hogyncymru (talk) 21:39, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
- Go ahead and report me, I’ve done nothing wrong. You’re using Wikipedia to promote your own art, which otherwise has no public interest. Gareth Bale is the subject of that article, not your picture of him, no matter how good it is. – PeeJay 21:42, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
