So much for NPOV--this is nothing more than one opinionated assessment of the franchise. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.213.16.180 (talk • contribs) .

Fair use rationale for File:Eaglesjack.jpg

[edit]

File:Eaglesjack.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Super Bowl and NFL Championship Wins and Greasy Neale

[edit]

I guessed that the Eagles never won a super bowl; needs to be fixed if not true. I guessed they won 3 Nfl championships; needs to be fixed if not true. I would suggest breaking up the 1950 year and rename 1940-1949 to Coach Neale (1940-1950) since I am pretty sure Thompson sold the team sometime between 1946 and 1949. Neale went to the HOF so that looks like an entire section. 66.234.33.8 (talk) 10:40, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed the numbers.66.234.33.8 (talk) 10:48, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Coach Neale (1940-1950)

[edit]

If no one objects I will be adjusting the article accordingly. 66.234.33.8 (talk) 10:54, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No objection here. NLkid1993 (talk) 02:33, 6 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Improvement

[edit]

While I certainly helped a lot, this article still has a ways to go before it's even considered decent. Please help out if you can. Thanks, 1ravenscowboysnflfan (talk) 15:35, 11 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment comment

[edit]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:History of the Philadelphia Eagles/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

Needs references (preferably inline citations), lead needs expansion (see WP:LEAD), and some more fair use acceptable pics (free ones are ideal of course). Also has some formatting issues see History of the New York Giants for an example of a good article on the subject. Quadzilla99 02:51, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Come on Eagles, you started out what 6and 0 then you got soft let’s get better throughout the game, play tough and score and finish strong through the rest of the game, Eagles fan 1954 2600:6C5E:157F:3C2A:6D82:A359:851B:837C (talk) 20:42, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
