Typo at end of first/lede para

[edit]

Can the final sentence of the intro please be changed to “Afghanistan’s population is..”, as the “the” is redundant. Alternatively it could be “The Afghanistan population is/The Afghani population is..” but I think just dropping “the” is the most elegant solution. Cbe46 (talk) 04:38, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Afghanistan in map of South Asia

[edit]

A discussion is taking place at Talk:South Asia#Afghanistan in map to determine whether Afghanistan should be shaded or included differently in the map of South Asia to indicate its peripheralness to the region. GreekApple123 (talk) 15:15, 3 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Population

[edit]

After extensive discussion at Talk:List of countries and dependencies by population#Afghanistan, a consensus found that reliable sources disagree widely about how many people live in Afghanistan. A suggestion was made that this article should present a range of values in the population estimate. A similar solution has been used at the Eritrea article. Grammar correction? Maybe?

[edit]

The Taliban have significantly tackled corruption, improving on the corruption perceptions index from 174th to 150th best out of 180 countries from 2021 to 2022, but dropping to 162th in 2023.

162th should say 162nd right? AshXP1011 (talk) 03:38, 31 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
