Why the deletion?
I removed that statement because it appears incorrect, and there is nothing specific enough for me to research its validity. How exactly can the health history be read from an osteon? What are the right conditions needed? If you have references for this, I would like to see them. In addition, the formatting was incorrect,
since it appeared like this, which seems to suggest a cut and paste job.
Considering that it was added by a user with no user page or talk page, I didn't really expect you to be watching the article's talk page, so it was just easier to remove it.
On another note, your above statement should go on your user page. Also, there is no Wikipedia staff; everyone here is a volunteer. If you think the introductory material is lacking, then you should go ahead and fix it so it can help others. If you get frustrated somewhere because of wrong instructions or what not, you should fix that too, or at least, leave a message on the talk page. Finally, you should sign your posts with ----. This automatically adds your signature, and a timestamp. There is also a button (2nd-to-last) in the editing toolbar above the edit box that adds it. If you need help, or have any other questions about anything at all, don't hesitate to ask on my talk page, I'll be glad to help. Welcome to Wikipedia! --jag123 16:13, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Help
Hey there. I'm not really sure what you mean by dialogue pages. Pretty much everything you need is located here: Help:Contents. For markup help, you can visit Wikipedia:How to edit a page. If you add a space as the first character of a new line, then you'll get the fixed-width, grey-background thing happening. So don't try to indent paragraphs with a bunch of spaces, since it won't work. It's not unusual for people to put links of commonly viewed/used pages on their user page. (In your case, this is User:Kdammers)
If you want to make new articles, just enter the title in the search box located on the left of your screen and then press go. If that title isn't used, you'll see a red link that says "create an article with this title". Clicking that will then show you an edit box where you can enter the text of the article. If you do create a new article, you should use a category (by adding [[Category:Category Name]] at the bottom). Ideally, you should also make links from existing articles to point to yours. If you don't, it's unlikely that your article will be found.
As for the IP address, make sure you're logged in before you make edits. At the top of the screen, you'll see "Create an account/Log in" if you're not logged in, and "Kdammers My talk My watchlist..." if you are logged in. Wikipedia is a bit overwhelming at first, but you'll get the hang of it. Even though I've been here a few months, I still find new stuff every week. If you need more help, don't be afraid to let me know. --jag123 22:27, 22 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Notice board
Hello Kdammers! I see you are from Chicago too. I hope Nonsan is treating you well. Anyway, I'm posting here to let you know that there is now a notice board for Korea-related topics. This board is a central place to discuss all matters pertaining to Wikipedia's coverage of Coreana. I hope you'll drop by and help the board to take shape. -- Visviva 15:00, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Visviva: If I don't get lost, I'll check it out. I hope to set up a Wik group here at Konyang, where we can contribute to the Korean material in Wik(e) as real-life practice in constructing English texts. I also hope we'll contribute to Wik(k).Kdammers 04:26, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Korean article template
Hi, thanks for your question. Sorry I'm so late getting back to you. Life on and off Wikipedia has been full of all sorts of unexpected hecticity... Anyway, the Korean article template.
The idea behind the template is pretty simple. The basic idea is that every article should have the following, unless there is some reason to the contrary:
- a relevant "See also" section,
- at least one relevant Korea-related category, and
- a name table.
- Template:Korean on the Talk page.
In more detail...
- The "See also" section should include a link to the List of Korea-related topics (LKRT), and anything else that's obviously relevant but not linked in the article text. If you prefer, you can just put in the LKRT link and let someone else add the others. If you want to add more, here's the rule I've been following: look in each category of which the article is a member. If that category has a main article (like Korea in Category:Korea), then that main article should be linked -- either from the text, or from the See also section. The same for parent categories, within reason. Here's an example: Munmu of Silla is a member of the categories Silla and Korean rulers. Thus, the articles Silla and Rulers of Korea are linked in the article text. Those two categories are part of Category:Korean history and Category:Korean people. Thus, History of Korea is linked in the See also section, and so is List of Koreans (well, it is now). Both of those are members of Category:Korea, hence the link to the LKRT.
- You can find a complete (?) list of Korea-related categories at List of Korea-related topics#Categories. Or just start at Category:Korea and work your way down.
- Template:Koreanname noimage is fine for the vast majority of articles. Cut and paste Template talk:Koreanname noimage#Syntax and fill in the blanks. All Korean name tables require you to specify at least these four variables: hangul, hanja, rr, and mr. "Rr" stands for Revised Romanization of Korean, and "mr" stands for McCune-Reischauer Romanization. If you don't know what should go in these fields, just leave them blank -- however, at a minimum the hangul should be provided (that allows other editors to verify the article and identify the other name-related information). You can request help on the Korea-related notice board.
- This one's easy. Just paste {{Korean}} onto the top of the talk page. Done!
Most of our existing articles should already conform to this, since we just finished a housekeeping sweep in June. But there are more new ones coming in every day...
I've also taken to adding a "Wish list" to the talk pages of new/inactive articles, identifying 2 or 3 things that the article is lacking. Hopefully this will help other contributors see where they can help. (Of course, if I can contribute the information myself, I do so).
I hope this isn't all too overwhelming. Your excellent work so far is much appreciated.
Cheers,
Visviva 07:35, 23 August 2005 (UTC)
- Hey, that's a good idea. I have created Template:Korean article. To use it in a new article just enter {{subst:Korean article}} in the text box, and save. Then edit the page and fill in the blanks. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any more questions. Happy editing! -- Visviva 05:37, 24 August 2005 (UTC)

SUB Goe
I have copied this hither, since some-one wanted to delete part of this.
The Göttingen State and University Library (German: Niedersächsische Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Göttingen, or SUB Göttingen; English short form: Goettingen SUB) is the library for Göttingen University as well as the central library for the German State of Lower Saxony (with its central catalogue), and the library for the Akademie der Wissenschaften zu Goettingen. It also houses the Goettinger Digitalisierungszentrum, the GBV regional library consortium offfices, and numerous projects in librarianship and related fields as well as providing such online services as its virtual library and Vascoda.
One of the largest libraries in Germany, the Goettingen SUB houses some 4 1/2 million volumes as well as 13,000 holographs and other manuscripts and 350 Nachlässe (literary remains). The library works under a dispersed system, with numerous branch libraries located in various academic departments, supplementing the central collection housed in the new library building (construction completed in 1992) on the main campus and the historical library building in downtown. The library is responsible for a number of special-area collections (Sondersammelgebiete) under the German national library system. The historical library building holds manuscripts, rare books, and a significant history-of-science collection and research facility as well as works in the special-area collections, old-stock and other items. In addition, its original core, the Pauliner Church, has been made through adaptive re-use and reconstruction into an exhibition and lecture center. All newly accessioned materials as well as almost all old holdings are electronically cataloged; a small number of old holdings (some of those from the 19402-1970s) are only searchable electronically using a "virtual catalogue." The library holds a large collection of academic database CD-ROMs, an extensive collection of micro-forms, and collections of aural and audio-visual media.
In the year 2002, the goetttingen SUB won the German Library of the Year (Bibliothek des Jahres) award.
[edit]
History
The Library was founded in 1734 at the same time as the university. It soon was considered one of the leading research libraries in Germany, pioneering cataloging systems (then in large bound volumes). Christian Gottlob Heyne's directorship (1763-1812) laid the basis for the library's status. However, a half century of reduced financing then weakened the library's status. Only in 1866, with official Prussian sponsorship, did the library again begin to flourish. Both Heinrich Heine and Wolfgang von Goethe used and commented on the library in their time.

Ko Ûn vs. Go Eun, Ko Un or Ko Ŭn
Hi Kdammers,
Thank you for creating the article on Ko Ûn. I was a bit surprised to see you wrote Û with a circumflex, which is used in none of the three major romanizations for Korean. I see you have also edited the German article to read "Ûn".
Is Ûn a widely used or the author's preferred romanization? Have you seen this on covers of English translations? If not, I suggest renaming the English and German articles to "Go Eun" and edit all in-text occurences accordingly; see the Korean names conventions on this.
Any clarification would help. – Wikipeditor 16:00, 7 October 2005 (UTC)

Request for edit summary
Thank you for your contributions. And I have a request. I would like to ask you, if possible, to use edit summaries more often when you contribute. An edit summary helps others understand what you changed when checking the watchlist or the recent changes, and often times complements studying the diff. Think of it as the "Subject:" line in an email. I hope you don't mind. :) Cheers – Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 03:18, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

Photo upload
Hi Kim,
The process is actually fairly simple. First, please make sure that your image file is on your computer, and that it's OK to use on Wikipedia and not copyrighted (for instance, you took the picture yourself, or it's public domain).
Here's how it goes:
- When you're logged in, there is an "upload file" link on the left side of the page. Click it. (The link is just above "Special pages." )
- Scroll down past the threatening legalese, and click the button that says "Browse."
- Select the file that you want to upload from your computer.
- In the "summary" box, write a brief explanation of where the picture came from.
- Select the appropriate license from the dropdown menu. If it's a picture you made or took yourself, choose "GFDL (self made)" -- near the top.
- Check the box that says "Watch this page," to add the image to your watchlist.
- Click the "Upload file" button.
- Finished!
If Wikipedia already had an image of the same name, you will get a warning message at Step 7. In that case, you'll probably want to go back and change the "Destination Filename" to something else... however, this isn't usually a problem with new images.
Let me know if you have any problems. I'm looking forward to your images. Cheers, -- Visviva 00:36, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
Disappearances
Hmm... the only explanation I can think of is that they were deleted. If you can remember the exact page title, you can check whether this is the case by searching the deletion log -- that will also tell you who deleted the page and why. Cheers, -- Visviva 08:12, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

It's simple actually, the article didn't assert the importance of the subject, not one little bit. If it made an assertion of any kind, then I wouldn't have deleted it. If you wish to indicate that you don't want anyone but you to edit it in 48 hours, place a {{construction}} tag. Thanks, Yanksox 11:17, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

Links to lunapark6 film reviews
Hi, I saw you readded one to an article. The reason I removed them is because the user, Lunapark6 is doing nothing but adding links to his personal website, and wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. If you think the link is useful, fine, but I really don't think we should encourage spammers, seeing as there are likely to be reviews at more reputable sites. - Bobet 09:50, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- Do you really feel a user with the username Lunapark6 linking to a site called lunapark6.com as his only edits doesn't qualify as a spammer? It might not be particularly malicious but I do not feel it's the best way to go around it. If someone else feels that linking to that particular review is a good thing, I have nothing against it, but I didn't feel that the judgement wasn't originally made based on the quality of the review, rather than the idea to get more hits on one's personal website. - Bobet 10:17, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- I know you didn't originally add the link, and like I said, if you think it should be included, I'm fine with that. And I'm not commenting on the site's name per se, just the fact that the user is obviously someone who is promoting his own website. - Bobet 10:27, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

- I remember something, but it was a long way ago. On what exactly page it was? CP/M comm |Wikipedia Neutrality Project| 12:35, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
- Remembered it. Well, so, at least in the computer-familiar community some subjects are obviously more known; and today I'm not sure that even in overall coverage, except for ads, HL2 is lower compared to specified companies. Besides that, in general Wikipedia pays much less attention to companies than to products. So that subject is actually not connected to gender domination. Finding pending articles
How do I find the page that lists articles pending approval that non-registered users have written? (I'm sorry that this is the second time I'm asking this, but I can't find my question on this page or any record of it on my user page!) Kdammers 11:59, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- Non-registered users are not allowed to post new articles in the main namespace to avoid the large amount of vandalism and nonsense that comes with it. Instead WP:AFC was created to handle such suggestions, which is where you will find that list. Make sure you read the instructions carefully so you know what to do when you come across a good suggestion. - Mgm|(talk) 12:07, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Hey Kdammers - I saw the note you left at List of bicycle manufacturing companies regarding Samchuly: I was the one who prodded it, which I assure you I did in good faith, not to vandalize. But based on your concern, I had the deleting admin. recreate the article. I have to tell you, it ain't much of an article: just about everything a reader would want to know about a company (e.g. revenue, management) is not in the article. At least though you now have the chance to make it better. UnitedStatesian (talk) 02:24, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
- The trouble is that I never saw - and cannot now find - any indication of the nudge in my watchlist. Given Wik's stupid system of wiping out the record of created pages on the editor's my contributions list, things just get eliminated. While I didn't have any secondary refs. -who writes in English about Korean bikes? - the company's home-page speaks for itself. Wik doesn't accept stuff like "walk down any street in Korea, and the majority of bikes you see will be Lespo" (which is as true and unsupported as a similar statement about Schwinn would have been in the States a half century ago). So, I've added some secondary links. Your reader might want to know about revenue, but my reader wants to know about the bikes I do admit that the site should have more on that. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to link photos I make for Wik to articles - and I haven't gotten an answer when I've asked how. Kdammers (talk) 03:56, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
- I saw the additions, a big improvement, thanks. I still don't love the references, (the Korean location obviously makes it tough to source) but I am sure you'll agree there are much worse articles than this, and we can now focus on improving those. UnitedStatesian (talk) 14:52, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Tim Gaze
A tag has been placed on Tim Gaze requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Image copyright problem with Image:Foot_tennis_1.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Foot_tennis_1.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Nilfanion (talk) 16:39, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- The image page does not currently specific the license. If you want to release it under the GFDL please add {{GFDL-self}} to the image page. You could also choose another free license. Alternatively, if you just confirm for me that the GFDL is acceptable and I will handle the tag myself.--Nilfanion (talk) 12:02, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

As it says in the MOS, you're welcome to add additional transcriptions. There's even a link to a proh-NUN-see-AY-shun guide for those who want it. The OED in your example, however, uses the IPA. Finding deleted articles
About a year ago, you wrote to me saying that every-thing I've ever written for Wik can be found at "my contributions." But I can't find articles that have been deleted. Where can I find those? Kdammers (talk) 01:55, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry about the generality. Deleted articles can only be browsed by Wikipedia:administrators. If you are looking for a specific article, and you know its name, and you wish to work on it to address the concerns expressed at its WP:AfD, you can request that it be userfied (moved to your userspace). You can make the request at WP:DRV or ask an admin who you know. Good luck. The Transhumanist 02:06, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for Your quick response. I find it a poor policy for people's articles to be made relatively inaccessible just because some-body (from the writer's point of view:) vandalized an article that the writer might have taken hours producing. Why can't Wik at least leave a trace for the writer? I've just had an article deleted and even got an unfriendly comment that the deleter would "have to" black ball me if I again removed the speedy delete tag (which I had removed but only with a clear explanation as to why it was inappropriate; the tag itself had no explanation other than "not an article"). (By the way, this was on the German Wik, but I can't follow the meta-Wik there (It's tough enough here). Sorry to rant on, but I'm so steamed, I can't type an answer in the German Wik: my hands shake too much. Kdammers (talk) 02:21, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- Sounds like you've been duped. That is, an admin wouldn't warn you away from removing speedy tags from a specific article, he would just go ahead and delete the article (if he found it to meet speedy deletion criteria). "Blackballed" isn't a wikiterm - an admin would say "blocked". Sometimes articles are speedied that shouldn't be. Can you think of a reason that someone would describe your article as "not an article"? If you describe the article to me, maybe I can make sense of the situation and provide more specific advice. The Transhumanist 02:33, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- Well, as I said, it was on the German Wik, and there are a lot of people there who delete any-thing that isn't a longish article. (By black-ball, I meant that he said he would report me to admin to be possibly blocked for removing the speedy delete warning.) I'm an inclusionist, believing it is better to light one candle than to curse the dark -- but obviously a number of people at Wik-de don't agree. While I can speak German like a native, writing it is not so easy for me - esp. in the style for Wik-de; so I write short - or very short - stubs that give totally correct information that others can expand on. The most recently deleted article was a one-sentence one that said "XYZ [Steven J. Sasson? - I can't check now with-out loosing this page.] (born DMY) is the inventor of the digital camera." I then linked to the Wik-en site and also added one (or two?) refs. that I'd checked. Kdammers (talk) 02:47, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- See WP:DICTDEF. That alone isn't enough to speedy delete an article on English Wikipedia (according to WP:CSD). I doubt it's justification on the German site. By the way, you can use Wikipedia in multiple windows and/or multiple tabs. What browser do you use (I highlyl recommend Firefox - I generally have it running in several windows, at least one of those with a dozen or more pages open in its tabs (subwindows), meanwhile running WP:AWB (which uses IE) running in another window).

- One sentence isn't enough to worry about. Here's what I would do: recreate the page with 2 sentences instead of one. If they delete that, try again with 3 sentences, etc. I hope this helps. Let me know how it turns out. Good luck. ;) The Transhumanist 03:45, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Tip: Using a sandbox for keeping copies
To keep copies of the articles you write, you could use what I call a "verticle stack": when you are done writing an article, copy it to a "sandbox" page in your user space (e.g., User:Kdammers/Sandbox), and note the title in the edit summary. When you write another article, open the sandbox and replace the previous article with the new one, again recording the title in the edit summary. Etc. When you want to retrieve an article from your verticle stack, go to the sandbox and click on "History". Wikipedia records all edits to a page, even if each edit is a complete article. ;) The Transhumanist 03:57, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
You appear to have already created this article nearly three years ago! :) PC78 (talk) 09:21, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of List of fiction set in Shanghai
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of fiction set in Shanghai, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice?
I did not add the deletion proposal; I'm just adding the notice. Fg2 (talk) 01:21, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Longfellow
Regarding this edit... you do realize your first attempt at restoring material actually removed some 550 characters? That's why I reverted. Secondly, the information you were adding in was never cut... it was actually moved to a section specifically discussing Longfellow's writing style. Do you think it should be included twice verbatim? --Midnightdreary (talk) 02:24, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, looking at it again, I have no idea why you thought this material was ever cut... it, in fact, was not moved but has always been in the relevant section on his writing. Where did you get the idea that a discussion of his poetic style belonged (or ever was) in the section on his early life? --Midnightdreary (talk) 02:33, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
- No problem. :) --Midnightdreary (talk) 13:56, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

- I changed the Oneota on the Mississipian cultures map, but didn't notice a map anywhere on the link you left me for the Hopewell map. According to the maps I've seen, the Ohio Hopewell didn't extend into Michigan. Was there a name and a name showing a local Michingan expression of Hopewell?Heironymous Rowe (talk) 07:35, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'll look for stuff on the Goodall focus and see what I can find. I'd originally planned on showing only theopewell Interaction Sphere, which is the red area on the map, but then decided to add the other local expressions over top of it. I found various lists in a few places, and images here and there. I have a pretty extensive library for a layman, and haven't found a map yet that lists them all as I am trying to do. It's not exactly original research, but I do feel like I'm contributing something useful, lol. Bindford -- Response 1.0
You may well have a point, however, I didn't have the time (or, frankly, the inclination) to read the interview. (Funny how once one gets started editing articles the hours can fly by...)
It is my understanding that it is incumbent upon the editor originally inserting the material to make sure it complies with NPOV, etc. I.e. another editor can excise text without incurring an obligation to correct it--unless the changes make nonsense of the section or article.
I still believe that how it was written was POV (though I don't think that that editor intended it to be thus) and that the sentence still needs (needed?) revision so that the statements made about Binford are clearly those of a properly sourced third-party and not an editor.
If that's been done, then I don't have a problem with the content per se--just with how it was presented.

Hi. I'm not the only one since the "citation needed" notice has been up since Sept. 2008. I felt rather sorry for you, because normally, entries raised here get several responses, but it merely seems to be you and I contributing to discussion of this one. I think that the default font at Wikipedia may be Aerial - at the University where in work in the United Kingdom, Verdana is the default font for computer use, which is said to be good for computers. I notice that you are from South Korea - I wonder whether Korean would be your first language? If so, I wonder how accustomed you are to the Latin alphabet, and whether difficulties you may have had in reading articles in the English Wikipedia may be due to using a language which does not use the Latin alphabet. If you go to List of Wikipedias, you will see that there is a Wikipedia in Korean - I wonder whether you may find this one more accessible. ACEOREVIVED (talk) 19:55, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

List of rivers in Germany
Hi, basically the reason for the alphabetical list was that there wasn't one category for German rivers anymore (only rivers by state, which is a bit awkward IMO). I still think that the list by tributary wouldn't be useful anymore if every 5 km stream would be included, or worse, if e.g. all tiny streams flowing into the Werra would be included, and major tributaries of the Elbe wouldn't be. So IMO this 50 km criterion is a nice compromise, and the minor rivers are still accessible. I'm surprised articles about rivers have been deleted, can you give me an example? Markussep Talk 11:13, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, YOU were the one who deleted the names (not nec. articles - I don't know if I'd gotten that far) of minor streams in Germany: http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=List_of_rivers_of_Germany&oldid=242900556
- You mean this diff? You said "there are a number of streams that I worked very hard on getting right and putting in that all got deleted some months ago". I don't believe you worked so hard on the red links I deleted from the alphabetical list. But I clarified the introduction: the tributary list is for rivers over 50 km, the alphabetical list for all rivers that have articles. Markussep Talk 07:31, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- Finding them, getting their locations etc. and including information on non-red links using a slow computer DID consttute hard work. Now these rivers can't be found by people looking. I guess I'll remoe te 50 km restrition. Kdammers (talk) 09:54, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- You're welcome to add links to existing river articles to the alphabetical list. Please remember that I didn't remove links to existing river articles from that list. Markussep Talk 13:42, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- Hi, I see you created an article about the small river Aue at Aue Creek. We had a discussion at WP Rivers about naming rivers, and I think we should rename the article, because "Creek" is not part of the name and there are several small rivers named Aue (according to de:). Do you know which river this Aue flows into? If, for instance, this is the only Aue that flows into the Leine, we can rename it "Aue (Leine)". Markussep Talk 12:27, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- Hi. The Aue (Leine) in wik/de is not the same creek. I tried tracking the creek using Google maps, but it gets lost in one of the villages it goes through. I don't have my Shell Auto Atlas easily available to see exactly which tributary of (presumably) the Leine it enters. When i get my hands on my atlas, I change the entry if no one else has managed to do so before that.Kdammers (talk) 04:17, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- Found it, the Aue flows into the Hahle in Rollshausen. The Hahle flows into the Rhume in Gieboldehausen. We don't have an article for the Hahle yet, neither does de:. NTW I found it onm this very handy map tool from the Landesvermessungsamt Niedersachsen. Markussep Talk 11:18, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- Apparently not. It seems - and my memory of the area tends to support this - that it first joins the Suhle, which flows into the Hahle: "Zu Ebergötzen, durch das ein Abschnitt der Aue (westlicher Zufluss der Suhle) fließt," (Wik/de: Ebergoetzen; Waake entry supports). A redlink under disamb for Suhle: ein Fluss im Eichsfeld, siehe Suhle (Hahle). Kdammers (talk) 12:25, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Robert Charles Wilson
I am unclear as to your reasoning behind moving this BLP. The science fiction writer is by far the most prominent with that name, and the other writer you refer to uses the initial "C" rather than "Charles". There is no need for a disambiguation page at Robert Charles Wilson, so I suggest you revert your page moves. -- Scjessey (talk) 14:09, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
- There are at least Rbt. C. Wilsons in Wik/en. I'm just trying to make it easier for people looking for any one of them but not nec. knowing if full or common version of the name. Kdammers (talk) 02:34, 6 September 2009 (UTC)
- None of the other Robert C. Wilsons documented in Wikipedia spell out their middle names in full. There is no need for the disambiguation page. On the science fiction writer uses the name in that way. Per WP:DAB you should revert these page moves. -- Scjessey (talk) 12:30, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
I don't know personally, but it's cited as 90 minutes in the snopes.com article that's referenced at the end, as a reason that Ely's voice was worn out during the recording. The edit to change it to 90 seconds was made by a non-registered user, and I've seen people often come on and make changes to what they think sounds "funny" when actually the article is pointing up something that's unusual. If it was really 90 seconds, that's hardly noteworthy and it should be deleted. There aren't any further refs at snopes, but they're generally reliable (more so than WP!), and I think the article already relies on that source in other places. Speedy deletion nomination of File:KYU GCC Bdg.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:KYU GCC Bdg.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ww2censor (talk) 05:51, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs
Hello Kdammers! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 6 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Antje Nikola Mönning - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Andreas Brandhorst - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Articles for deletion nomination of Shane Gericke
I have nominated Shane Gericke, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shane Gericke. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Rrius (talk) 20:29, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
tone issue
the tone issue comes from the use of "in fact" it's trying to put a perspective on it that may or may not exist and isn't supported by any citation as well as using words like "it is not unknown", this is a weasel word. All it would take would be for it to happen once for it to be "not unknown". It doesn't give any indication that this is a significant notable aspect of hagwons.--Crossmr (talk) 03:16, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
The article Joachim Honnef has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Shadowjams (talk) 06:46, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
The article Joachim Honnef has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable translator, fails WP:N.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Claritas § 18:47, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

Come on now, acknowledge my comment. :) I want to make sure you know how to redirect. Also, I forgot to tell you, the button on the far right of the editing toolbar under "advanced", the one that is a piece of paper with an arrow, makes it easy to redirect. You just click that, and then type the article title, and then you're done. Hope this helps. :) ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 02:09, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
- On my page, the word "advanced" is black, not blue. I clicked on it repeatedly, but nothing happened. In general, Wik has a way of hding useful tools instead of making them transparent. Kdammers (talk) 09:54, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
Unsourced claims
The claim you are making is that many hagwons are part of chains. Nothing in the Korea Times article supports that claim. Reliableteacher.com isn't a reliable source per WP:RS and WP:V, it is a hobby run site that runs mostly on user generated content [2], and even if it was it says nothing which claims that "many of them" (whatever that means) are part of chains. Also see WP:WEASEL for writing things like "many of them". Please don't restore the text to the article unless you can provide an actual reliable source which supports the text you're trying to add, per Wikipedia:V#Burden_of_evidence, The burden of evidence lies with the editor who adds or restores material. You've failed to meet your burden of evidence.--Crossmr (talk) 13:40, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
- Again, read WP:V and WP:OR if you continue to try to put unsourced original research into an article after being repeatedly told not to you can and will end up blocked for disruption. You've tried to reinsert 2 sources which you've already been told don't support the claim you're making and you've provided 2 new sources which also don't support the claim made. There isn't a single source you've cited which claims that "many hagwons are part of chains". See specifically Wikipedia:OR#Synthesis_of_published_material_that_advances_a_position. Do not combine material from multiple sources to reach or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by any of the sources. It is your opinion that "150" is many and pure original research. I've also told you that reliableteacher.com isn't a reliable source. It's content is mainly user generated and any attempt at using it at this point is clearly disruptive.--Crossmr (talk) 12:14, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- As further evidence to how irrelevant the citations are that you're using: The Korea Times article makes no comment on the number of the hagwons in chains. It simply names two chains it considers "large", but it says nothing about their market share as a percentage of the overall hagwons or quantifiers them with any kind of idea like "YBM, which owns many of the hagwons in Korea". The KBS source simply says there are over 1100 private kindergartens in Korea. That is it. It doesn't even mention franchises or chains at all. The YBM source simply lists how many schools they manager. It doesn't give any indication what percentage of the market share they have. Every single source you've provided has absolutely zero bearing on the claim you're trying to make.--Crossmr (talk) 12:21, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- And if you want a source which actually gives you an idea of how many hagwons are in Korea [3], 27,977, out of which 150 is trivial and not remotely close to "many".--Crossmr (talk) 12:35, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

U of I reference
You noted that the protagonist from 'The Core' is a professor at U of I, but he's actually a professor at the University of Chicago in the film. The University of Chicago is an elite private university in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago and is in no way affiliated with the University of Illinois.
I created this page several days ago and would like to expand it further. I know you know alot about Oneota related stuff, but its an area I know almost nothing specific about, and I'm also currently on the road for the next few months working and dont have access to my own library. I would like a section about the area if your interested? I left a few notes on the talk page Talk:Mississippian culture pottery if you would be interested in helping expand the article further, maybe get to GA eventually? If you are referring to this edit [4], it was in response to User:AxiomOfFaith changing the existing style of the article from BCE/CE to CE/AD. Per WP:ERA, part of the WP:MOS, articles with existing styles shouldn't be changed in this way. The previous day the same user had made these 2 edits [5] and [6]. I left this message for them, and their first edits the next day were to immediately do this [7] and [8], and archiving their talk, blanking my warning. I then left this [9] and [10]. After my last warning the user then started this Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Archive 117#BCE/BC, which they later gloated about at their CreatinWiki page here. Speedy deletion nomination of Paper Industry International Hall of Fame
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Paper Industry International Hall of Fame requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Citation guideline
This information has already been provided to you at Talk:Konglish#location_of_superscript. "Next to" refers to beside. not in the middle of. You write the information, you place the citation next to it, which is at the end of the material being cited. The convention is that the citation cites the material coming before it, not after. Further information would require a different citation, and if several sentences are covered in 1 citation we put it at the end of all of them (so long as there are no other intervening citations) rather than cite each individual sentence. but adding it to the end of the sentence or paragraph is usually sufficient.--Crossmr (talk) 23:22, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Prod of China Bomb
The article China Bomb has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- non-notable novel
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sadads (talk) 00:49, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
China Bomb is a near-future novel written by Richard Tregaskis. It follows the exploits of an elite U.S. attack force in their planning and efforts to thwart an attack by the Communist Chinese on the U.S. Seventh Fleet. On the island of Hainan, the Chinese have constructed a powerful H-bomb, which they plan to drop within a matter of days after American spy sources have found out about it. The attack team has to be assembled and sent off by submarine to Hainan to destroy the bomb before it is dropped. In addition, the President of the United States has to out-fox a recalcitrant senator who disapproves of covert activities.

Added template for SuggestBot
Hi,
Thanks for being one of SuggestBot's users! I hope you have found the bot's suggestions useful.
We are in the process of switching from our previous list-based signup process to using templates and userboxes, and I have therefore added the appropriate template to your user talk page. You should receive the first set of suggestions within a day, and since we'll be automating SuggestBot you will from then on continue to receive them regularly at the desired frequency.
We now also have a userbox that you can use to let others know you're using SuggestBot, and if you don't want to clutter your user talk page the bot can post to a sub-page in your userspace. More information about the userbox and usage of the template is available on User:SuggestBot/Getting Recommendations Regularly.
If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me on my user talk page. Thanks again, Nettrom (talk) 23:43, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

Hagwons
No one is covering anything up. I'm simply asking you to make quality contributions. The last time we talked about hagwon chains, you tried to use the simple fact that they exist as a citation for your assertion that "many" hagwons were part of a chain. You've got a serious problem with weasel words. Last time you claimed 150 out of 25,000 (in seoul alone) was "many". It's a drop in the bucket. If you want to include that information in the article feel free to write it in such a way that it's inline with our manual of style, as well as all our other policies and guidelines regarding material in articles. What you've written is certainly true, but so is what I wrote in the edit summary and we're not including that information in the article. It really provides no information at all. If you could actually provide some real statistics on how many hagwons operate as chains vs independents you might actually have something worthwhile to contribute to the article.--Crossmr (talk) 10:46, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
- You've had this repeatedly explained to you. Generalized statements of "some are X and some aren't" don't tell us anything about the subject at all. At this point your repeatedly undoing the edit with no explanation or dialog, beyond claiming a cover up, is becoming tendentious. You've repeatedly run into weasel word issues with this article, and if you can't edit the article with inserting those kinds of phrases, then you may wish to consider focusing your efforts where you can actually do so. As I said, if you could actually provide some statistics perhaps on Hagwon chains or something else to hang the phrase off of, it might be worth putting in the article in some form, but you've failed to do so.--Crossmr (talk) 10:36, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
- Chains are a fact, but you've written it using weasel words. We don't list every single fact about every subject here. That isn't what this is. Your numbers are poor sources as has been pointed out to you before. The claim that 150 hagwons out of 25,000 in Seoul alone would justify the claim of "many" is absurd. We could list all kinds of facts about hagwons. Some have windows, some don't. Some have more than 30 students, some don't. It's easy to make up all kinds of pointless facts about hagwons. They're all undoubtedly true, but they provide zero context and zero real information the subject. See WP:TRIVIA, and since you still have trouble grasping it WP:WEASEL. Some hagwons are independent, some are part of large or small chains. What is even the point of this sentence? What are "some"? Have you tried actually looking at the hagwon associations website or checking for news sources to see if any statistics or numbers exist on these? All this effort you've spent insisting there is some kind of conspiracy could have been spent on finding genuinely useful and accurate information to the article rather than insisting on the insertion of random trivia in the name of truth.--Crossmr (talk) 10:58, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.
In particular, the three-revert rule states that:
- Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.--Crossmr (talk) 11:01, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
That it is an important factor in Hagwon systems is your opinion. You've failed to provide any source for that. I'm not required to tag it, in fact you're required to support it if its removed and challenged. See Wikipedia:V#Burden_of_evidence as the one restoring or adding the material, the burden of proof is on. You've repeatedly failed to meet it. You've repeatedly attempted to use sources which don't remotely support what you're claiming, and you've repeatedly reverted without explanation. Every revert I've made has been with explanation, and often cited policy or guideline. You've done neither. You've made baseless accusations and carried on about "cover-ups" as an excuse for your edit warring. There is a lot in the article that is not backed up with any sources, but you ignore that, I've put 31 citations in the article. There is a citation on almost every or every other sentence. In fact when I re-wrote that article, if I didn't have a citation for it, it wasn't added to the article. The only thing not currently supported in the article is the pointless trivia you've added to it. Unless you can pony up evidence of other uncited text in the article, retract the statement. You've got serious problems with WP:OR, WP:WEASEL, WP:NPOV, WP:V and WP:TRUTH. You have been warned I can find neither edit summary, nor talk on this page nor talk on the Hagwon page where I ever said that. So again, you can either provide evidence of that or retract the claim that I said that. I did say that you've had this repeatedly explained to you, but I've never said that you've been repeatedly warned. As it stands with you claiming "cover up" and insisting that this is an "important fact" without providing any basis for this conjecture. Let me make it perfectly clear: You're free to edit any article you choose, but so is everyone else. No one is under any obligation to keep anything you've added to any article. They're free to edit, tag, or remove outright anything you do. You agree to that when you submit your edit. It's right under the "save page" button. By the same vein your edits do have to be in-line with wikipedia's policies and guidelines or they're most certainly going to be removed/heavily edited.
As far as helping you goes, I'm certainly much more likely to help someone who edits within our policies and guidelines. I'm certainly much more likely to help someone who seeks continued dialog rather than reverts without a word, while carrying on about "cover-ups". But despite that, I've told you several times how the information could be incorporated into the article in a useful way, but you've ignored that in-place of repeatedly reverting a piece of empty trivia. Yet despite that, I'll show you how usefully note that there are hagwon chains without adding an empty meaningless statement.--Crossmr (talk) 05:39, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
- I've explained it to you as thoroughly and as repeatedly as necessary. if you continue to violate policy by edit warring in that statement, I will seek sanctions. Despite your acidic and unfounded accusations (which you've provided no evidence for, nor retracted) I went ahead and found a citation to support the fact that chains existed and presented it in a useful and informative way. Your continued edit warring and unfounded accusations only tell me you're not here to be constructive.--Crossmr (talk) 07:22, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

IMDb
When IMDb is placed correctly in an article, it is under 'External links' (as an external 'see also' or 'for further information'); the information there can be searched to find it in reliable sources (which can then be cited in articles). Dru of Id (talk) 13:39, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

Hi Kd. Yes there is a convention to handle German compound nouns where there is a proper noun and ordinary noun combined. This aids clarity and conforms to the translation into English of well-known objects. It also avoids inconsistencies where famous objects are translated (e.g. "Möhne Dam") and less well-known ones are not. See WikiProject Germany/Conventions. I should probably add an example using Stausee though. Gruß. --Bermicourt (talk) 06:41, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

I have been on the road
for about a week and just got on line for the first time (No Y-Fi on my laptop) and will not be able to do so again for at least another week. So my input into the discussion about editing Cahokia will have to wait. Life takes us to strange places - I am running away from smoke at home (New Mexico) - but look for a few new pictures at Whitmore Lake, Michigan. Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 16:06, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
- For an understanding of the effects of erosion on Cahokia I suggest that you read Charles Mann"s 1491 [1]. Also the edit that I removed seemd to suggest that erosion did not happen on flat land. Please consider both wind and flooding as methods that do exactly that.
I'm sorry that it took me so long to get back to you, life is conplicated. I pulled out my book (pamphlet) on Cahokia, but lost it already, so no help there. But I do hope that this answers your concerns.

Thanks so much for the surprise information! Once Herb told me that he couldn't help me, I figured that I'd have to find it out by accident. I'm at Indiana University, and at least one of the sources that you gave me (Stephens) is in our library system. It's only about 110 km from here in Bloomington to Daugherty-Monroe (which is right by a public road; see National Register of Historic Places listings in Sullivan County, Indiana), so I'm planning to photograph it and potentially research it at some point; I've briefly gone through the article that appears in citation #5 for the National Register list that I gave you, but only briefly. Hi. When you recently edited Ischenrode, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lichtenhagen (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). The only difference I did in Vietnam was remove unneeded information, in no way it could it "not be a complete sentence." I advise you to read it more carefully. --CartoonDiablo (talk) 04:55, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
- And you needed to remove the data and post on my wall because of a grammar mistake? Seriously I think there's more at play here and I'd suggest it to stop. CartoonDiablo (talk) 18:36, 13 April 2012 (UTC)
- I did not remove the data. I would have corrected the error without a message if I had understood what was meant to be written. Kdammers (talk) 23:29, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

Re: Duelist
I changed the category to "Films based on South Korean comics" because in the infobox it says "Story by Bang Hak-ki (comic)", which I assumed means the story and/or characters of the film are based on a comic by Bang Hak-ki. If you know that to be incorrect, please feel free to correct the article.--Cattus talk 12:09, 22 September 2012 (UTC)

Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Franz Rottensteiner. The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:10, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
SuggestBot currently skipping large pages
Hi,
Due to issues with saving large pages, we have currently set SuggestBot to skip such pages. This means it's currently not posting suggestions here, as you might have noticed. We recommend (re)moving some of the content (either manually or through automatic means), or moving SuggestBot's configuration template to a sub-page in your userspace, which will make it post the suggestions there instead (see the sign-up instructions for more info).
Feel free to let us know if you have any questions, either here or on SuggestBot's talk page. Regards, Nettrom (talk) 18:39, 13 November 2012 (UTC)

I wanted to drop you a note to let you know that I moved it from "Jack Taylor (basketball player)" to "Jack Taylor (basketball". It looks like this is the second time the page has been moved, so I wanted to explain why. It is long-standing convention with basketball articles to use the DAB "basketball" for basketball figures unless differentiating between a player and coach of the same name. The reason is that it is very common for notable basketball players to become coaches, so the DAB is meant to cover both. This convention is used in hundreds of articles across Wikipedia. Thanks again for creating the article and please contact me at my Talk page if you have any questions. Rikster2 (talk) 14:08, 23 November 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Der Atem des Himmels, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page ORF (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

DYK for Jack Taylor (basketball)
On 6 December 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Jack Taylor (basketball), which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Pizza Hut commemorated college basketball player Jack Taylor's record 138-point game by selling pizzas for $1.38? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Jack Taylor (basketball). You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Added ´error in definition´ on the multiplication page in talk.
Multiplication, is scaling, expands the area under observation, fractally, by a factor. Multiplication itself, is terms of graph theory, axis, has it´s mirror inflection point at one, addition, it´s mirron inflection point at zero. This binds all numbers to the R numbers between zero and one, and not zero and infinity.
Op(+,-) operators, plus and minus. Op(*,/) operators, multiplication, division.
Op(+,-), x ≥ 0, mirror inflection point at zero, origin shift function. Op(*,/), x > 0, mirror inflection point at one, window within boundary scaling function.
Graphing this, for what pertains to x, leads to an error in observation where it is presumed, erroneously, that that graph goes towards infinity, it does NOT. The mirror inflection point defines the lower and upper bound regions, therefore we have one region 0<x<1, and another region, 1<x<∞. However, ∞ is not defined, that being unbound, but one is defined, that being bound, and therefore all mathematical operations, in engineering and physics (reality, not theory), map onto the 0<x<1 region.
You ask, but, 1 is defined for multiplication, therefore 0<x≤1? You are correct, but if I scale mathematically and map onto (0,1), then I obtain 0<x<∞ (infinity being unbound), and therefore, 0<x<1. Your article submission Ben Ripley
Hello Kdammers. It has been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled Ben Ripley.
The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply {{db-afc}}
or {{db-g13}}
code. Please note, however, that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Ben Ripley}}
, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 13:01, 12 September 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Baekseok Arts University
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Baekseok Arts University requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Kkj11210 (talk) 04:52, 21 November 2013 (UTC)

The article Self-Referential Traverse: Zeitgeist and Engagement has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- It is not obvious how this meets WP:NOTFILM
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Derek Andrews (talk) 12:52, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

Your contributed article, Angel cake
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Angel cake. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Cake. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Cake – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. — {{U|Technical 13}} (e • t • c) 04:10, 27 June 2014 (UTC)

Invitation
Hello, Kdammers,
The Editing team is asking for your help with VisualEditor. I am contacting you because you posted to a feedback page for VisualEditor. Please tell them what they need to change to make VisualEditor work well for you. The team has a list of top-priority problems, but they also want to hear about small problems. These problems may make editing less fun, take too much of your time, or be as annoying as a paper cut. The Editing team wants to hear about and try to fix these small things, too.
You can share your thoughts by clicking this link. You may respond to this quick, simple, anonymous survey in your own language. If you take the survey, then you agree your responses may be used in accordance with these terms. This survey is powered by Qualtrics and their use of your information is governed by their privacy policy.
More information (including a translateable list of the questions) is posted on wiki at mw:VisualEditor/Survey 2015. If you have questions, or prefer to respond on-wiki, then please leave a message on the survey's talk page.
Thank you, Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 15:56, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

Your draft article, User:Kdammers/Weiser (film)

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|User:Kdammers/Weiser (film)}}

Art Jewelry Forum
Hello, I am working on a pet project to help digitize information about the field of metalsmithing+jewelry. I started with making a page for Art jewelry forum (AJF), and have a list of artists that I would like to make pages for as well. The AJF page has been nominated for deletion because it is questioned if the organization is "notable". I am reaching out to you because I saw that you edited some pages that relate to studio craft, and thought you may have an informed opinion (unlike the mathematician who nominated the page for deletion) about whether or not it is a "notable organization". If you have an opinion, one way or another, please way in on the articles for deletion discussion https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Art_jewelry_forumClarefinin (talk) 21:05, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of New Board
The article New Board has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (companies) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back. Thank you,
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:06, 13 November 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks. Feel free to remove the prod notice, I will not restore it for now. PS. Could you archive your talk page? It almost crashed my browser. If you need help, just ask at WP:HELP and someone will set it up for automatic archiving (like mine is). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:10, 15 November 2015 (UTC)
