HDI is incorrect

[edit]

The HDI given for Iran does not match the source, which should be 0.798, "high". — Preceding undated comment added 23 September 2018 (UTC)

Change Iran's gdp to the latest data available.

Here's the international Monetary fund website regarding the information you asked me to provide.

https://www.imf.org/en/Publications/WEO/weo-database/2024/October/weo-report?c=429,&s=NGDPD,PPPGDP,NGDPDPC,PPPPC,&sy=2022&ey=2027&ssm=0&scsm=1&scc=0&ssd=1&ssc=0&sic=0&sort=country&ds=.&br=1

You can see the changes to the GDP, GDP PER CAPITA and the GNI (PPP) Update the information accordingly.

The sources to the last version of the GDP (2024) are from the same source (IMF) Rezaezatiofficial (talk) 11:40, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@RezaezatiofficialSome of them are blue, maybe meaning predicted, this request is too soon to edit. -Lemonaka 15:10, 25 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Capital City Change

[edit]

Tehran remains the capital for now, but Iranian state media has been talking about moving the capital to the Gulf more and more often.

Would it be appropriate to include this in the capital section? Something like "Capital: Tehran, Makran (pending)" AuthorOfOne (talk) 11:41, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@AuthorOfOne: Needs confirmation in an independent, reliable source. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 11:47, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah that's reasonable.
When you say independent, reliable source, what would be the requirements for that? Are there specific publishers that Wikipedia considers more reliable than others? I can't imagine that state media would be considered independent but it would also presumably be the first to know? AuthorOfOne (talk) 12:41, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
