References

[edit]

This article needs the actual references to the papers alluded to. I can imagine those could be found. JFW | T@lk 11:53, 4 January 2008 (UTC) If not the "actual papers" (I assume those may be difficult to find if they are not digitized!) at least some microbiology text books. I will research ... =) Rikku (talk) 21:03, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Ziehl-Neelsen stain is known as a "hot stain," as heat is used for the dye to penetrate through the cell wall. kgrr talk 10:50, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I havent heard it called a hot stain before? Ive used ZN on many occasions to demonstrate AAFB TB, never heated anything? SR (UK BMS Histo) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.158.189.14 (talk) 21:08, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"how to" template on Procedure section

[edit]

The Procedure section reads like a manual on how to do the exact procedure; it should be much more general and readable. -- Dan Griscom (talk) 03:12, 3 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think it works really well as a list of steps like this. Peter English. --83.244.250.15 (talk) 16:01, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
