Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Tutwakhamoe, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Mamirolle did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. - Hi, Drmies, thank you for notifying me of my mistake. I added that piece of text on Mamirolle by translating the existing information on the German version of the same Wiki page, and normally I would add any source too, but unfortunately the German wiki didn't include source for that part as well. From now on I'll be taking more care of what I will be translating into the English wiki. Again thank you for taking the time to review the article and giving me suggestions. Take care! Attributing translations
[edit]Hi, just a heads up that when translating articles from Wikipedias in other languages, you must provide attribution in your edit summary for copyright/licensing reasons. See Help:Translation or WP:TFOLWP for details and more information surrounding translation. If you have any questions feel free to ask me. Thanks! eviolite (talk) 15:41, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
- Understood, I'll mark my future translations accordingly. Thank you for the reminder! Tutwakhamoe (talk) 16:27, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
Hi Tutwakhamoe and thank you for your contributions. Earlier you made the disambiguation page Lugouqiao Subdistrict, however disambiguation pages must point to at least two existing wikipedia pages (not red links) and so this page may be tagged for deletion shortly. If you intend to create the page that is redlinked that should be ok (unless another reviewer comes along and tags for deletion) otherwise you could just make the page into a redirect (see WP:Redirect - if you need any help doing any of those tasks drop a note on my talk page. Best wishes Josey Wales Parley 20:27, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
Thank you for the reminder! I'll be creating the other page later today. Tutwakhamoe (talk) 20:42, 30 September 2022 (UTC)

Specific stub categories
[edit]Hi Tutwakhamoe, I noticed that the new articles you've been creating for townships in China are using the {{stub}}
template. Generally it's better to use more specific stub templates related to the topic of the article - you should be able to find some more specific ones for locations in China here. E.g. I've been using {{Beijing-geo-stub}}
for the ones I've seen that are in Beijing. Thanks, and happy editing! MadameOctavian (talk) 08:04, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for you advise! I'll be more specific the next time I'm adding stub tags. Tutwakhamoe (talk) 15:12, 3 October 2022 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for October 12
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Zhongcang Subdistrict, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Grand Canal. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:02, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
Warnings and Twinkle
[edit]Hi! I noticed you recently reverted a bunch of vandalism/unconstructive edits, but only left one warning on a user talk page afaics. It is helpful for other editors to leave warnings, especially if the user has vandalised/received warnings before since vandals need to have been warned before they can be blocked. The one warning you did leave, you added manually, so I'm assuming you don't know about Twinkle. It's a pretty useful gadget that, among other things, allows you to leave various warning templates on user talk pages with only a few clicks. Maybe give it try :) Felida97 (talk) 05:54, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
- Oh, previously I was under the impression that warnings are for repeat offenders. I'll learn to use Twinkle and be more aware in my future undos, Thanks for your advise! Tutwakhamoe (talk) 06:01, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
- Sorry to interrupt you. I'm currently using Twinkle to revert vandalism, but I've noticed that the warnings that were left on the target user's talk page displayed other user's name, and I didn't see any place in the preference to change it. Is that the intended feature, or am I doing something wrong here? Tutwakhamoe (talk) 14:03, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
- As far as I can see, you have not left any warnings on user talk pages using Twinkle (you did revert edits using Twinkle, but all the warnings were added manually). I also don't see any messages of yours that "display other user's name" (or I don't know what you mean by that). Anyway, do you see the menu named "TW" next to the search bar (should have appeared after you enabled Twinkle)? If you click on that while you are on a user page, user talk page or a IP contribs page, there should be a tab named "Warn" and if you click on that, a window should open (like the one displayed in the documentation). I hope that clears things up! Felida97 (talk) 18:02, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
- I think I might have mistaken the warning that other users made as mine, since they're made in the same date. I just tried it, and the warning worked this time. Thanks for the instruction! Tutwakhamoe (talk) 20:11, 3 November 2022 (UTC)

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}

Hello, Tutwakhamoe,
When you are tagging a page for deletion, please mention this in your edit summary. Doing this is especially important with Proposed Deletions. If the PROD tag is removed, editors and admins need to be able to see that the article was already PROD'd before and they see this by looking at the edit summaries in the page history. Just put "PROD" or "Proposing article for Deletion".
I encourage you to use Twinkle for all of your deletion tagging as this editing tool will not only leave the edit summary for you but also notify the article creator that the page has been tagged for deletion once you set up your Twinkle Preferences to "Notify page creator". Twinkle has a lot of great features that can assist with editing, tagging pages for deletion, posting to noticeboards, tagging articles for problems, posting talk page notices, maintaining deletion logs for you, it does a lot. Thank you!
Thanks for the reminder, I’ll start using Twinkle and take more care in my future edits.Tutwakhamoe (talk) 23:40, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
Hi! I 100% agree with your PROD nom statement for List of songs in On the Record, but I think that as an WP:ATD-R that it could serve as a redirect, so I blanked and redirected the page. If you want it deleted and not to be a redirect at all, I believe the best course of action would be to revert my edit and nominate it at AfD. Best! TartarTorte 17:22, 23 December 2022 (UTC)
- I'm fine with the redirect. Thanks for your contribution! Tutwakhamoe (talk) 17:38, 23 December 2022 (UTC)

Hi thanks for creating this article. When we translate or borrow from other language wikis it’s a requirement to acknowledge the source. The best way to do this is to include it in your edit summary (e.g. “translated from ru.wiki”) and there’s also a translation template you can add to the talk page. I’ve added it for you. Happy editing and please leave a message on my talk page if you need any help Mccapra (talk) 02:18, 4 February 2023 (UTC)

KBZ Bank U-19 Cup 2016 moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, KBZ Bank U-19 Cup 2016, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Hello, Tutwakhamoe
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Shushugah, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Patkata, West Bengal, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.
If you wish to contest the deletion:
- Edit the page
- Remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- Click the button.
If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Shushugah}}
. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

Sigma
[edit]Hey, thanks for your attempt to uncover sources in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sigma AB. I have looked in a paywalled newspaper archive with most of the Swedish-speaking newspapers, listed a number of them in the conversation and added some to the article itself. Consider this an invitation to re-assess, whether you feel that you still stand by your earlier conclusion or if the new information which wasn't available when you looked at the article earlier puts it in a different light. /Julle (talk) 19:02, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
- Sure, I'll check those out. Tutwakhamoe (talk) 23:01, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I can't really access the sources cited. Both the articles from Dagens Industrial and Sydsvenskan are behind paywalls. And honestly I don't really want to pay for the subscriptions just to read a few articles. I've read about the two news agencies, and along with the study I previously found, I can tell that the corporation is somewhat notable, but I can't be certain about whether it can pass the notability guideline.
- Since the deletion discussion is already included in Sweden-related list, I'm assuming that there'll be other users who both speak Swedish and are willing to devote their resources into verifying the sources. Unfortunately I can't really offer much assistance for now. Tutwakhamoe (talk) 23:40, 8 May 2023 (UTC)

Federico Zwank
[edit]I have seen that you nominated the swimmer for deletion. I have expanded the article a bit, he won two silver medals in the panamerican games and was a southamerican record holder in 4x200 freestyle. We have kept worse, but I don't want to revert your nomination if you still consider him worthy of deletion. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 22:48, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- At the time of the nomination the article only has the Olympic record as source, and I wasn't able to find anything useful to improve the article. I don't really have strong opinion on deleting the article, and since it has adequate sources now, I'll remove the PROD. Thanks for your work! Tutwakhamoe (talk) 22:55, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- You are welcome. I usually nominate only if there is no info in the Olympic Record and then also no info with a WP:BEFORE. In the case of Federico Zwank, there was actually quite some info in the Olympic record, so I figured someone else might also oppose and thought to shorten the procedure as the sources were easy to find. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 06:39, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
Autopatrolled granted
[edit]Hi Tutwakhamoe, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.
Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.
Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! – Joe (talk) 18:01, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the notification! I really appreciate this new user right, and going forward I will continue to upheld a high standard for articles I create or edit as to not let the Wikipedia community's recognize get wasted. Tutwakhamoe (talk) 18:46, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
Arellano draft
[edit]Hello Tutwakhamoe! I am leaving this message on your talk page because I have resubmitted Draft:Arellano v. McDonough for review. You had previously declined the draft due to a lack of significant coverage in the article to reinforce its notability. I believe I have done so, and I would appreciate it if you could take a look at the new integration of sources into the article (including from AARP, NYT, Bloomberg). If the articles are not sufficient enough, I would be more than glad to add more. Thank you for your time. EytanMelech (talk) 02:26, 9 July 2023 (UTC)

V Programming Language draft
[edit]Hi Tutwakhamoe! Will be resubmitting Draft:V_(programming_language). Per your comment, rewrote sections that seem to be not to your liking. Removed YouTube links and any GitHub or links to the site of the language, which could reasonably be considered superfluous.
Please note that there is a 2008 reference to a different V language, which is incorrectly linked to this one, which came out in 2019 and the others do not have the same books or articles in the draft. Also, when referencing articles of other programming languages (like Zig, Crystal...), the draft of V appears to be under tighter constraints. Hoping that is suitable.
I informed the other reviewer as well (SWinxy), who saw it as a promising draft. Your time and service is greatly appreciated. Wukuendo (talk) 20:01, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for your notification and your contribution to the draft. I apologize for my previous position on YouTube as sources, since videos can be acceptable if they are published by a reliable channel. The other two concerns seem to have been addressed as well (although I'm not quite sure where you get the impression that anyone found the draft "offending").
- That being said, currently I don't think I am knowledgable in the computer science field to make a confident decision for now, so I'll leave it to other reviewers to decide. Since there are 100+ active reviewers and many of them do not review in chronologicial order (often review drafts in a specific fields or in random order), there is a chance for your draft to be accepted in a faster pace. Tutwakhamoe (talk) 21:21, 16 July 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for your response. At this point and so many months later, don't really know what to make of the situation. It's quite frustrating. I just so happened to come back around because it was near the 4 months mark. Would be wonderful if someone reviewed it again soon, but can only hope.Wukuendo (talk) 13:26, 17 July 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hey i wanna add some info to a page 'Saleh al-Arouri' but since it's related to contentious topic(israel-palestine) and i don't have 500 edits yet I am asking you to add the info, a troll editor named Gary is reverting my edits as well so it would be better if you're the one who edit it since you're more experienced. Also all these sources are reliable and you can google translate it as well if you wanna check.
Here's what I want you to add:-
On 25 August 2023, During a television interview with the Palestinian Al-Aqsa TV[1], The Hamas leader expressed his optimism when there are individual resistance operations by people who are not involved in any organization, he said "we(palestinians) are all in one organization called the Palestinian people; this is our organization for which all the factions and the people work."[2] [3]

- While I appreciate your enthusiasm in contributing to Wikipedia articles, I am sorry that I can not help in this situation because the content here is not special nor notable enough to be included here. Since Saleh al-Arouri is a leader of Hamas, it is normal for him to make encouragements towards resistance forces against Israel, so this kind of expression are treated as routine events and should not be included, unless any of them had received significant coverage from multiple reliable and independent sources. There is a reason why a businessperson's article would not include every transactions they made, or a politician's article would not write about every visits/political activities they attended.
- Unless the expression that you want to add is very relevant and notable, such as being a reaction to a notable event, or has sparked controversy or similar large reactions, I do not think that it should be added to the article. Tutwakhamoe (talk) 19:03, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
- i understood your point and I think you are right. Maybe it's just my inner curiosity to add up recent knowledge that i got as early as possible lol. Anyways thanks for those words it made me learn a thing I'll implement in my Wikipedia journey for sure! Faraz Sualeh (talk) 19:37, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
Why you decline this draft? Duosdebs01 (talk) 22:23, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
- In order for a draft to be accepted as an article, it needs to prove that the subject of the article is notable (passing one of the notability guidelines, in this case WP:NBIO or WP:AUTHOR) with multiple significant coverage from reliable, independent sources. All of the cited sources in the current draft failed in at least one of the crteria:
- Source 1: a website about one of the subject's own book, not independent;
- Source 2, 3 and 4: interviews, not independent;
- Source 5: announcement of event, which counts as WP:ROUTINE coverage and does not show notability for the subject;
- Source 6 and 7: book published by the subject, not independent.
- While not every source need to be pass WP:BASIC, at least some (preferably majority) of the sources need to fulfill the aforementioned standards. Wikipedia has limited amount of server space and limited amount of volunteers to maintain the quality of pages here, we can not accept the article about a person unless he/she is sufficiently notable, and information about he/she can be verified by independent sources to avoid promotional or incorrect facts.
- In addition, it seems that a large chunk of the texts in the draft is taken from Source 1. Contents in Wikipedia should not be copied from external sources, especially sources related to the subject. Consider rewriting/removing texts marked red in the copyvio report ASAP. Geolysis.com - unreliable source
[edit]Hey! I saw that you created Nauagarhi and included Geolysis.com as a source. Assement of your review on, Draft:V Programming Language
[edit]Checked this out based on reading up on this and out of curiosity, and was appalled by what I saw. What was done appears to be contrary to the spirit and purpose of Wikipedia. It's even in clear conflict with the previous reviewer (SWinxy). It brings into question why you even conducted the review. It's questionable if you had really read the article or even fully understood the comments made by the other reviewer.
SWinxy's issue reads as him suggesting there is too many primary sources, not if there were enough secondary sources. This is a very significant difference. SWinxy's comment is that the draft is promising, relative to the "four books" in it (3 books and 1 magazine). Those are confirmed published sources, in print! You then decline the draft, as if it didn't have any reliable sources. That's preposterous! It's even more outrageous when we contrast this with the other accepted programming language articles on Wikipedia (Seed7, Pizza, Toi, Zeno, CDuce, Promela, Crystal, and more). The editors who submitted the article have clearly put in a lot of work, above the sources that are in print, and must be absolutely disgusted with what you did.
But, that's not all. You then respond that you are not knowledgable in the computer science field. This, beyond seemingly not actually reading the draft and ignoring printed sources, nor understanding what the previous commentor wrote. Have no clue why you decided to do that and something smells rotten. Hope that isn't the case, but something seems off or odd in comparison to the articles that are approved. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.44.180.253 (talk) 03:12, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
- OK, there're a few points that I'll need to clarify:
- First of all, assuming that the creator of the draft did remove the primary sources as the previous reviewer suggested, the claims that the sources were removed from still need to be backed up with citations. And since there's no point of adding primary sources like the ones just removed, the newly added sources have to be secondary. In this respect, removing primary sources and adding secondary sources is the same thing;
- Second, there are 3,000+ drafts of various topics in the AfC backlog, with more coming in each passing day. There's not a single reviewer who can have professional knowledge in the fields of all (or even most) of the drafts. The one standard we reviewers abide by is the notability guideline, and at the time of the review, I was not convinced that the provided sources passed the guideline. I admit that I made a mistake on the use of YouTube as a source, but at the time of the review the draft is insufficient in its sourcing.
- Third, I've been on the Internet for long enough to tell people who genuinely want discussions or solving problems from those who just want to lash out their rage on someone or something. If you are irritated, go buy and use a stress ball, take a deep breath or rest, do some exercises or choirs to relieve yourself. Calling others disgusting does not solve any problem in life. Hopefully your parents and teachers have taught you that when you're in school. Tutwakhamoe (talk) 03:49, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
Kerry Quarter -> Kerry Corner
[edit]Hey Tut (if I may),
I was looking for sources for Kerry Quarter and came up with nothing but when I loosened the term to just Kerry, I found this documentfrom the Cambridge municipal government that mentions Kerry Corner, "the name given to bank Street....because the majority of residents there came from County Kerry, Ireland". There are a few other references to Kerry Corner as an Irish enclave, its relationship to Harvard, etc. I think this is the topic in question but I wanted to double check before moving/renaming it as you've done some work on the article. If this sounds right to you, I will get started on the move and clean up. Thanks! Kazamzam (talk) 13:43, 16 October 2023 (UTC)
- Hi Kazamzam,
- I just looked up "Kerry Corner" and found sources mentioning it. Although I could not access the contents, the index section of this book seem to confirmed the alternative name "Lower Marsh". Page 56 of this document also talked about the Irish residents of the area. Now that there are sources present, I have no objection to a move. Thanks for informing me about the new materials! November Articles for creation backlog drive
[edit]Hello Tutwakhamoe:
WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than 2 months outstanding reviews from the current 4+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 November 2023 through 30 November 2023.
You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.
Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
You recently declined the draft of the article MSQL, and since I believe that I have addressed the original points from the first time the article was declined by providing more and better sources, I'd like to address your feedback here.
- "This reads like a description page for some item in Github." The MSQL article is very similar to the ESQL article, which is approved. They both describe a standardized interface for accessing an SQL database - this is not "some item on GitHub", this is an SQL standard feature specified in the SQL Standard by ISO.
- "Consider adding sources that aren't just tutorials to show the subject's importance." I did. The SQL Standard written by ISO is not "just a tutorial".
- "it should be backed up with critic or comment from experts or notable organizations in this field." It is. The experts and notable organizations that are my sources are well established SQL database server developers Oracle Corporation and Mimer SQL, as well as the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) that originally specified this feature. If that doesn't mean experts or notable organizations, what does?
Helena (talk) 09:20, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback. The whole "Github" analogy was referring to the style of writing, as at the time of review it does seem to resemble developers describing the advantages in their products. In retrospect I admit my mistake, I was too focused on the instructional nature of the cited sources and deemed them to be primary sources without checking the organizations publishing them. Please submit the draft for review again, I'll pass it this time. Tutwakhamoe (talk) 13:08, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
- I see, thank you! Will do. Helena (talk) 05:20, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
Query re notability of MPs
[edit]I noticed you declined Draft:Ruth_Odinga. I'm inclined to agree with the comment of Curbon7 there, that notability is established since MPs are notable. Do you think differently? Best, Dsp13 (talk) 12:15, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
@Dsp13 Yeah, now I think of it I was too harsh with my reviews back in July. Although, for a national level politician, I'd imagine there would be some significant coverage (Biography, indepth independent media reporting, etc) that would be more suitable sources than straight out profile pages. Add at least one reliable source for the awards section to address the first commenter's concern, and I'll let it pass once it's resubmitted. Tutwakhamoe (talk) 11:18, 21 November 2023 (UTC)- Actually, upon re-reading the notability guidelines, I take back my previous statement. WP:SNG states the following "Therefore, topics which pass an SNG are presumed to merit an article, though articles which pass an SNG or the GNG may still be deleted or merged into another article, especially if adequate sourcing or significant coverage cannot be found, or if the topic is not suitable for an encyclopedia". And additional criteria section of WP:BIO says the following: "Failure to meet these criteria is not conclusive proof that a subject should not be included; conversely, meeting one or more does not guarantee that a subject should be included". Significant coverage is still needed, especially for WP:BLP. The concern by the first commenter needed to be addressed as well. Tutwakhamoe (talk) 12:22, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for the care with which you've thought about this! My personal view is that this is excessive gatekeeping: you are reading the guidelines extremely restrictively, which results in articles about notable topics remaining languishing in limbo as drafts. In a case like this (where the topic passes an SNG and it is clearly a suitable topic for an encyclopedia), my preference would be to allow the page into mainspace, and deal with any inadequacy in sourcing by adding templates like {{citation needed}} where appropriate. (It often feels as though improving drafts is a relative waste of time, compared to improving articles in mainspace, since they are at the mercy of a process which feels discouragingly extended and arbitrary.)
- But I understand you may feel differently. I've added several references and also given the page some copy-editing. I hope you feel enough has now been done to allow the page into mainspace. Dsp13 (talk) 12:57, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
- I am aware that I sound too restrictive, I just want to make sure that potential issues can get addressed in the draft stage, instead of having accepted articles being tagged for issues or even nominated for deletion by future editors (Because this sort of things did happen occasionally). The draft was accepted by another reviewer, and I do think the article is good now after going through the newly added sources. Thank you for your contributions. Tutwakhamoe (talk) 13:52, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
Draft:Dias Suleimenov
[edit]Dear Tutwakhamoe! Thank you for your reference Draft:Dias Suleimenov. I would like to clarify some points. Your remark that if an organization is notable, it does not necessarily mean the subject is notable I find partly correct. However, it cannot be fully applicable in our case. As you probably noted, the subject has been leading the holding for about 13 years in a row. As a result, all achievements during 13 years are directly linked to the leadership of the subject and this is certainly his merit. References about the meeting were the subject appeared as a leader of the company prove his direct participation and contribution. With a bad leader, a company cannot prosper. The contracts of the company possess international and strategic value for the country. In this regard, there was a need to duplicate the article from Russian Wikipedia into English. Here is the link to the article in Russian Wikipedia https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%A1%D1%83%D0%BB%D0%B5%D0%B9%D0%BC%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%BE%D0%B2,_%D0%94%D0%B8%D0%B0%D1%81_%D0%A2%D1%83%D0%BB%D0%B5%D1%83%D1%82%D0%B0%D0%B5%D0%B2%D0%B8%D1%87 By rejecting the article of English Wikipedia, you question the competence of your colleagues who moderate and approved the article in Russian Wikipedia.
In addition, if you have carefully studied the article, you probably could notice that the subject is significant not only by his activities in one company but also in social activities of the country representing the Republic of Kazakhstan in the international sport arena. Probably you have not paid enough attention to the following facts that the subject is simultaneously 1) The vice-president of national Paralympic Committee 2) The president of National Ski Association of the Republic of Kazakhstan 3) The member of the Executive Committee of National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan. While executing all these functions the subject communicates closely with the Presidents of National ski associations, the Presidents of National Paralympics Committee, the members of National Olympic Committees and other countries including English speaking ones. This is another proof in favor of the article approval in English language.
Also the subject is a son of Suleimenov Tuleutai, who is the government official of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the first minister of foreign affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan in a number of countries, honorable member of National Science Academy. The articles about him can be found in Wikipedia in 5 different languages https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Tuleutai_Suleimenov .
Please also note that Forbes magazine included Dias Suleimenov in the list of “50 the most influential businessmen of Kazakhstan”. He was №41 in 2019 and №38 in 2021(https://forbes.kz/ranking/object/1035). However, the subject due to his modesty asked not to mention it. I believe that this argument is even more powerful than all mentioned above.
I might be wrong but there is a feeling that this looks like discrimination and you do not consider candidates from Kazakhstan notable at all as you reject the subject with so many state regalia (medals, orders, Letters of Gratitude).
In the view of the above, I kindly ask you to review the article one more time considering all these arguments and if possible could you please take a deeper look at the article of Dias Suleimenov again and I do hope it will meet necessary criteria and you can cancel the application rejection.
Thanks!
E.kulishova (talk) 09:28, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for your time in writing this query. I hope the following response can address your concern:
- First of all, notability can not be inherited. Being the son of an influential person or the leader of a notable organization means nothing if there are no significant coverage provided in the article. Both WP:GNG and WP:BIO demands certain qualities from the citations, with the additional criteria section of WP:NBIO specifically noted :"conversely, meeting one or more does not guarantee that a subject should be included". At the time of the review, the cited sources lacks significant coverage and did not meet the criteria, so I can not accept it into an article;
- Secondly, different Wikipedia have different standards. As someone who have translated many contents into the English Wikipedia, two articles that I translated from other languages were deleted and several of my contributions were reverted. Existing in one Wiki does not guarantee inclusion in the English Wikipedia;
- And finally, I just checked and the draft saw no change since my declination in 6 November. This means that the same concern still applies. Like the previous reviewer who declined the draft in June, I think the subject is likely notable, but the sources are still inadequate. I am not willing to approve an WP:BLP when most of the cited sources have no or very trivial mentions of the subject. For an individual with an impressive resume like this, I am not convinced that there are no useful in-depth coverage about him. Noted that even if I did accepted the draft back in 6 November, with the problematic citations others editors might tag the page for issues in the future.
- I don't understand where the accusation of discrimination came from. I've reviewed many drafts in various topics and various countries, and like other reviewers I only accept drafts that can pass the defined standard. I would never decline a draft for its country of origin, nor would I accept a draft for increasing some sort of minority representation. Please understand that tactics that might work in other places does not necessarily work here. Here in Wikipedia, the rules apply to all submitted drafts regardless of any external factors about the drafts. Tutwakhamoe (talk) 15:02, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
