Washington Nationals
[edit]Thanks for protecting the article about the Nationals. I was pondering whether to request protection because the reverting has gotten so tiresome. Appreciate your doing it! 1995hoo (talk) 17:55, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
- With that many inappropriate edits from multiple IPs in one day it was pretty clear. I did 10 days, hopefully that will be sufficient that the IPs will get bored. Rlendog (talk) 17:58, 14 April 2014 (UTC)

[edit]You recently created the redirect page Sensorite and directed it to The Sensorites. Do you think it would work as well directed to List of Doctor Who universe creatures and aliens (Q–Z)#Sensorite? G S Palmer (talk) 00:31, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
- It could if the "Sensorite" section of the list discussed the subject. But right now it just provides a link to The Sensorites article, so it seems to make more sense to redirect directly to there. Rlendog (talk) 02:15, 19 April 2014 (UTC)

DYK for Soldier of Love (Lay Down Your Arms)
[edit]On 30 April 2014, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Soldier of Love (Lay Down Your Arms), which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that despite influencing several Beatles' songs, Arthur Alexander's 1962 song "Soldier of Love (Lay Down Your Arms)" was nearly forgotten until a Beatles' bootleg recording surfaced more than a decade later? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Soldier of Love (Lay Down Your Arms). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

[edit]Thanks for helping out with expanding the Catch Me Now I'm Falling and (Wish I Could Fly Like) Superman articles! Hope to see you assisting in expanding The Kinks' discography!
- You're welcome! One thing to watch out for the availability of sources. While many Kinks songs meet notability guidelines, for many of them sources can be hard to find, which could lead to questions about their notability, which could get them nominated for deletion. Beatles singles released outside of the UK and US
[edit]Talk:The Beatles (album)/Archive 1#Singles released outside of UK and US
- That is a discussion among 3 editors on a page relating to a particular album. Hardly a project-wide consensus for what to do with Beatles singles. And Apple singles hardly fit the rationale that US and UK were the Beatles major markets, since they have a relevance to the Beatles beyond the market issued in, given that the Beatles own company was the issuer (as opposed to some local company raiding an album). And the item you are reverting has been stable for 2 years, on a page with lots of watchers, hardly indicating that it was violating any genuine consensus. Rlendog (talk) 18:15, 17 May 2014 (UTC)

Hot Legs
[edit]Greetings from Amsterdam. You are the last who changed Hot Legs (the original writer is gone). I wrote the Dutch version of this article. I overlooked some labels at Discogs and Google but I can't find Grainger anywhere as co-author of this song. It seems it is written by Stewart alone. The B-side however is by Grainger/Stewart. Strange enough the article about the album it's taken from names Appice as co-author of Hot Legs. That can't be right too. Can you you change the articles and remove Grainger as co-author or let me know where Grainger is named (if you can find that). Thank you in advanceCeescamel (talk) 09:49, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
- Allmusic lists Granger as a co-writer. [1] That said, I am not sure this isn't an error, since the single label lists Stewart alone. Rlendog (talk) 14:13, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you for a reference. It seems Warner Brothers named the Stewart/Grainger-combination permanently. Other issues, mainly Riva does not. I will call it a draw.Ceescamel (talk) 11:26, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

I reinstated the paragraph I wrote in the introduction, hopefully this is ok by you.
The history shows that one IP user removed it, and you and another had reinstated it, suggesting perhaps that there was not wide dispute over covering the reason for the deadlock in the introduction. Also the user's reasons for removal were unconvincing - removed without explanation (and reinstated by Bobrayner), removed again as "restoring NPOV" and because it's "covered extensively" in the body (claims of being completely POV seem doubtful and a major area covered "extensively" should be in the lede, this is a reason to reinstate not remove), then after you restored, re-removed again as "unsourced POV", again without explanation of any POV issues perceived and no attempt to fix any perceived POV issues.
So I've reinstated and a note in the edit summary to take POV perceptions to the talk page. Hope it's okay. FT2 (Talk | email) 18:32, 4 September 2014 (UTC)

DYK for Army (1944 film)
[edit]On 7 January 2015, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Army (1944 film), which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the ending of Keisuke Kinoshita's film Army was controversial because it depicted a mother's anxiety at her son going off to war? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Army (1944 film). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

Lohengrin
[edit]Hi Rlendog,
I noticed that you reverted my Lohengrin-related edits. I am glad that you are interested in these articles. I have reverted your reversions per the discussion here, in which a compromise on this issue was reached only a few days ago. If you wish to pursue this issue further, I would be glad to discuss it with you.
Neelix (talk) 23:07, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
- I don't see a compromise or consensus there. Just two people who disagree with you but decided not to spend the time debating further. Rlendog (talk) 00:11, 12 March 2015 (UTC)
- Neelix, your comment is very misleading. There were two editors (prior to Rlendog) who disagreed with you quite strongly. You were impervious to any suggestion that your move was not optimal or to any appeal to common sense. You simply kept to the mantra "violation will not be allowed" (as if the guidelines on disambiguation were The Ten Commandments). You made it quite clear that you would revert to your preferred version regardless of what we said. Giving up in the face of that is not a compromise. Did you even think about opening a a requested move discussion before reverting the first time, let alone the second? As an administrator, you should know better. Voceditenore (talk) 12:35, 12 March 2015 (UTC)
- Voceditenore, your description of my actions is highly inaccurate. I did not simply repeat a mantra, but rather presented new points in response to your arguments each time. Neither did I ever state or even imply that I would enforce my views against consensus. You explicitly agreed that you would be willing to allow me to retarget the redirect to the disambiguation page if I first fixed the archive links. That was our compromise. Neither of us was completely satisfied (I didn't think that the archive links should be altered, and you didn't think that the redirect should be altered), but we came to an agreement about how to proceed. That is how Wikipedia is supposed to work. Neelix (talk) 23:21, 12 March 2015 (UTC)
- I just reread my comment above, and I fear that I have come across too harshly. I apologize if I caused you any offense. I certainly appreciate your contributions to the project and believe that you have been doing great work here, especially in the area of opera. Neelix (talk) 23:50, 12 March 2015 (UTC)

- Hi Rlendog. A discussion on this issue is taking place at Wikipedia talk:Disambiguation#Proposed redirecting "Lohengrin (opera)" to "Lohengrin (Wagner)". Prhartcom tried to ping you and me on Neelix's talk page, but it didn't work because the ping was added to a message that was already signed. Best, Voceditenore (talk) 22:09, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
- Voceditenore, thanks for telling me that the ping didn't work and why; that is important information! Good luck on the discussion. Prhartcom (talk) 22:15, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
Brazzabelle Page Deletion
[edit]Hi,
My page has been deleted and I would like this undone so I may remake my page. I am a professional music producer and performer I have released music on Atlantic records and Interscope as well as performed all over the world and on national television. Please let me know how we can reverse this deletion. Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Twenty20below (talk • contribs) 01:19, 13 March 2015 (UTC)
- The page was most recently deleted by consensus at this discussion. I had previously deleted it as a result of the consensus at this discussion. The primary reason has been that the article does not seem to conform to Wikipedia's notability guidelines. If you believe this consensus is incorrect, or perhaps was once correct but now the subject would meet notability guidelines, you can contest the deletion through the deletion review process. However, I should point out that Wikipedia guidelines discourage writing articles about yourself, so that may also inhibit recreation of an article about yourself, even if notability guidelines are met. On the other hand, I now see that you have recreated the article. I would suggest going through deletion review as the article is likely to be deleted again (without discussion this time) unless the issues raised in prior discussions are resolved. Rlendog (talk) 01:53, 13 March 2015 (UTC)
