Films made as a kid?
[edit]Seriously, really? A movie he made at 13?? Two more at 15? Especially considering that none of them won any young filmmaker contests (which as far as I know did not exist in the 50s & early 60s). You can justify student films like Amblin because it did get the attention of Universal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:8000:7800:9F15:566:8176:E248:A7D1 (talk) 22:53, 28 September 2024 (UTC)

Untitled
[edit]Is this really neccessary ? --Acidburn24m 19:33, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, this is page is essential. However, it is incomplete and is missing many titles, including documentaries and films in which Spielberg acted as a screenwriter or uncredirted producer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.161.125.254 (talk) 14:09, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
Do we really need the TV ratings after the titles? It doesn't seem to fit here, as it's only on certain movies. If anything, those should be a part of actual movie article itself.--Pete Wall (talk) 18:20, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
This list is really useless -- why isn't it broken down into separate lists for each category. If you come here looking for a list of films Spielberg directed, you have to sift through all of these categories. --194.170.242.205 (talk) 13:23, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Uncredited
[edit]Look at the second paragraph of this article. Now, does this include uncredited or not and if it does not then shouldn't it? Maybe if he had no credit at all, we make the line blank but we understand he still had something to do with the film. IF SS has done any cinematography or editing, should we add that too? 174.16.80.109 (talk) 00:05, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
Cameo
[edit]Speilberg provided his voice for the radio respondent to the Orca in Jaws; "Orca, Orca, this is Amity Point Blank Station to Orca. I have Ms. Martin Brody here." Should it be included as an acting role? Cameo? It should be mentioned somewhere. ~ Jedi94 (talk) 18:29, 17 July 2011 (UTC) -->
Executive producer
[edit]An editor keeps re-adding the "yes" marker in the producer column for films where Spielberg served as executive producer on. As the role of executive producer is generally very different from that of producer, and as there is no implied creative input by the executive producer, it is factually incorrect to mark this column "yes". What I had done was put in the notes column "executive producer only" or "also executive producer" where applicable in order to keep these films in the table. The editor in question has been reported for edit warring and inappropriate use of edit summary, so I'm not going to revert for now. However, I'm wondering whether these executive producer only roles should perhaps be removed from the table and listed separately as, like I've already mentioned, executive producers are generally non-creative, and are generally only involved in financing. Any thoughhts? --Rob Sinden (talk) 17:51, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
- I dont see why there's a 'notes' column? there might as well be 2 columns, one for 'actor' and the other for 'exec producer'.Yellowxander (talk) 22:44, 27 September 2012 (UTC)

Box Office table
[edit]Hi, this table is a bit jumbled when trying to use the arrows to "sort-by," namely when sorting by distributor the "total" row goes in the middle and when sorting by "total worldwide" Jurassic Park ends up separated from the rest of the films / even above "total". I apologize I'm not familiar with how to fix this myself. 74.15.58.127 (talk) 23:07, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
Communication with his fans.
[edit]How would a fan contact Mr. Spielberg to give him a report on the influence his films have made on poor abused and neglected school children that I worked with for many year? Torie Peeks Anderson, author/teacher 24.24.232.136 (talk) 20:58, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
