That last documentary is pathetic. Totally one sided, and the exact opposite of what a documentary should be.

A nuclear leak at the faciliy is simply impossible. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 205.188.116.139 (talkcontribs) 14:40, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

Rewrite

[edit]

This article seriously needs to be changed. For starters - we should not have a tradgedy section, to say someone's life has been filled with pain is arguably violating WP:NPOV - and most (if not all) of the articles on the Kennedys do not have this type of section, yet what defines her "tradgedy" is family members - thus an inconsistency is created. This article should focus on her as a writer - that her greatest asset in notability. I'm not saying that it shouldn't be mentioned that she's a Kennedy - i'm just saying that shouldn't dominate an AUTHOR'S page. Daniel()Folsom T|C|U 23:23, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have rewritten a lot of it. I, personally, wouldn't have put in a Family Tragedies section if I were writing the original article, but, given that there is some argument to be made that she has been personally touched by the misfortunes of the Kennedys more dramatically than many of the other Kennedys, I bolstered that section a bit and tried to write it more toward neutrality and cleaned it up some.AMProSoft 17:56, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I took out the family tragedy section because it would be unremarkable in any other biography. Some cousins and a sister-in-law died; that is not really newsworthy. The article should be about Rory herself.Catherinejarvis (talk) 17:03, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree there shouldn't be a family tragedy section or subsection (and I think the article on the whole reads as if it were written by a celebrity's teenybopper fan) but her father was killed before she was born and her two brothers died. How did you overlook their deaths?! Dyspeptic skeptic (talk) 04:53, 29 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind, I later realized you must have mentioned only those relatives who were mentioned in the family tragedy section that you deleted. Sorry. Dyspeptic skeptic (talk) 00:26, 1 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

did some work, added cotent

[edit]

Hope that my additions helped. Still new to this wiki thing. Added lots more about her films - cause that's what she'd like to be known for - and put the tragedy stuff at the bottom and shortened it. Also added more internal links. Her website for moxie has some great info. best wishes Kitten b 23:30, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article is much better now. I'm not sure that it needs the rewrite tag anymore. I'm new to the Wiki thing also. How do I go about suggesting the removal of the rewrite tag? Or maybe I just did suggest it. AMProSoft 03:31, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I took off the rewrite tag. It looks good to me. Bastiqe demandez 04:07, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
"...that's what she'd like to be known for"
Not the function of an encyclopedia. If there are negative reports about her films, these should be inserted in a reasonable proportion. Valetude (talk) 16:45, 17 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have moved the comments above this one slightly so that they are threaded properly. Dyspeptic skeptic (talk) 05:03, 29 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Graduated in what?

[edit]

If she graduated from Brown University, it ought to say what kind of degree. Valetude (talk) 11:32, 21 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

“Kathleen trolled for financial backers for her race for Governor of Maryland...”

[edit]

Trolled strikes me as a poor choice of word here. The Wiktionary definition that I think the editor who wrote this sentence most likely intended is number three but it doesn't use the preposition for and, more importantly, it sounds unflattering. Ultimately, though, this doesn't belong in this article. Dyspeptic skeptic (talk) 05:15, 29 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Article lead

[edit]

"Her cousin John F. Kennedy, Jr., his wife, and his sister-in-law were flying to attend her wedding when they died in a plane crash." This does not seem like it belongs in the article lead. Not the most pertinent fact about Rory herself. SecretName101 (talk) 05:47, 4 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
