Constant waves of vandalism

[edit]

This page seems to be be vandalised fairly often, why was the protection tag removed?

  • Yeah, Joseph's page keeps getting valdalised, it must have been hit at least 20 times last night Ryan|(talk) 10:44, 30 June 2007
  • Again, his page has been vandalised by a fair few different IPs. Why was the protection tag removed? Ryan|(talk) 22:22, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced text removed from article

Page clean up (12 July 2007)

[edit]

I decided to split the page into two sections, 'singing' and 'acting' seeing as he has two different careers. Discuss... Ryan(talk/contribs) 20:10, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Harry Potter

[edit]

For a second time I've removed some stuff about speculation on possible auditioning for an unnamed Harry Potter part. Since this is inadequately sourced and it's about gossip it doesn't belong on Wikipedia. --Tony Sidaway 13:05, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It isn't speculation, it was confirmed by the McManners via his forums that he attended an audition. Because Harry Potter is such a large and global phenomena I think it's very appropriate and a notable aspect of his biography. Tazangel 06:34, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New School

[edit]

Per request of the McManners family, in the interest of security, specific details concerning the name of his new school and it's whereabouts are not to be globally announced therefore I've adjusted his biography accordingly. If you feel the need to change it, feel free to, however, please don't mention the name of the school nor it's whereabouts. Thank you Ryan(talk/contribs) 17:07, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use

[edit]

I don't believe that there is a good justification for having three fair use images of a living person in such a short article. Naerii 07:26, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, and this article does need some work following my concerns it has a distinctly COI taste to it. The line about leaving Sony BMG due to "artistic differences" is a euphemism if ever I've heard one! George The Dragon (talk) 09:48, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

[edit]

Does this person even meet the notability criteria for being included in Wikipedia? I'm not sure that simply being an actor or being signed to a record label is enough. Bagofants (talk) 10:52, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well he does seem to have had significant coverage in reliable sources. – ukexpat (talk) 15:16, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This page should be deleted, Joseph McManners was briefly famous in 2005 but not after that. (92.8.137.253 (talk) 17:20, 22 October 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Fame is not the same as notability, and notability is not temporary. – ukexpat (talk) 20:18, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This article really ought to be deleted, Joseph McManners is not notable enough to warrant inclusion on this site. (LouisWalshFan (talk) 00:25, 29 October 2009 (UTC))[reply]

I agree. He is only known for one album, which wasn't that successful anyway. (JerryAtkinson (talk) 16:17, 6 November 2009 (UTC))[reply]
