WikiProject African diaspora aims to improve all articles related to the cultural contributions of people of African descent all over the world. The African diaspora is the story of how Africans, though scattered and dispersed, managed to preserve cultural traditions while, at the same time, creating new identities influenced by new homelands in places outside Africa.

- Black suffrage in the United States - there should be an article discussing which states, before the Fifteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, gave blacks the right to vote, and when and with what conditions, if any. Note that the right was taken away in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. deisenbe (talk) 09:40, 15 October 2019 (UTC)
Article assessments
[edit]Project Afro assessments needs your help. You can:
- Assess articles (it's ok if you're not 100% sure about where you place an article.)
- Work on top importance articles first (especially the ones that aren't at least B class)

[edit]Stub categories are meant for stub articles only. An article only belongs in one of the following stub categories if it is directly related to the category. Individuals should not be placed in one of these categories unless they are important to the history and/or culture of Africans, African-Americans or the African diaspora as a whole. Instead they should be placed according to their nationality and or profession. The number of stub categories should be as minimal as possible.
Do Not subst the templates or hardcode stub categories into the article.
