INCINE coordinator
Hi! I won't be able to perform this role anymore. Hence for the time being i have added your name as the coordinator of the project. If you wish to reprise your role, you would be welcome. If not, you are still at your own will. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 04:33, 11 January 2013 (UTC)

You can collapse all the comments by me, except the one concerning the image of Nargis. All those comments are appropriately addressed.--Dwaipayan (talk) 05:08, 11 January 2013 (UTC)
- Being the nominator, I'm not supposed to do that. It's the task of reviewers to collapse them so as an indication to show that their concerns have been resolved. —Vensatry (Ping me) 12:54, 11 January 2013 (UTC)
- I guess you can do that if the reviewer permits you to do so, and you can indicate that in the edit summary. Anyway, not a major problem. The list seems to meet the criteria now. I have supported it. --Dwaipayan (talk) 15:38, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

Indian cinema task force
Hello Vensatry. You might not know me but I am really sorry to hear that you are withdrawing from coordinating the project. I just want you to know that you have done such an excellent job and it's very true that there are some people that are not appreciative of your work. I hope that you are feeling better and to let you know that not all Wikipedians are bad people. We are in the end, human beings as well and I want you to know that I am one of the supporters of your work. I really wish that you are well.
From a normal Wikipedia member.
Yours faithfully, Kotakkasut. 18:05, 20 January 2013 (UTC)

RTPKing asked me on my talk page what to do since the DRN was closed without action—basically, no DRN volunteer participated enough to keep it active. I recommended an RfC. Sivaji's Karnan for GA nomination
I have spent months developing the article on Sivaji Ganesan's Karnan to its present status today. As I believe it is capable of receiving a GA nomination, can u pls approach any experienced reviewer to start reviewing it? Maybe u yourself can do so. Kailash29792 (talk) 13:39, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
- Being the top contributor, you can go ahead and nominate the article for GA. Once you nominate it will be reviewed by someone. There are a lot of questionable sources used in the article. So check for replacing them with reliable sources before you proceed with GAN, as there are chances that it might fail. —Vensatry (Ping me) 13:46, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
- I listed the article here, as a means of nominating if for GA using this syntax: Karnan (film) | start review) Kailash29792 (talk) 14:47, 27 January 2013 (UTC). But a bot removed it, edit summary said "maintenance". wat is the right way? ---- Kailash29792 (talk) 14:47, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

WikiCup 2013 February newsletter
Round 1 is now over. The top 64 scorers have progressed to round 2, where they have been randomly split into eight pools of eight. At the end of April, the top two from each pool, as well as the 16 highest scorers from those remaining, will progress to round 3. Commiserations to those eliminated; if you're interested in still being involved in the WikiCup, able and willing reviewers will always be needed, and if you're interested in getting involved with other collaborative projects, take a look at the WikiWomen's Month discussed below.
Round 1 saw 21 competitors with over 100 points, which is fantastic; that suggests that this year's competition is going to be highly competative. Our lower scores indicate this, too: A score of 19 was required to reach round 2, which was significantly higher than the 11 points required in 2012 and 8 points required in 2011. The score needed to reach round 3 will be higher, and may depend on pool groupings. In 2011, 41 points secured a round 3 place, while in 2012, 65 was needed. Our top three scorers in round 1 were:
- Sturmvogel_66 (submissions), primarily for an array of warship GAs.
- Miyagawa (submissions), primarily for an array of did you knows and good articles, some of which were awarded bonus points.
- Casliber (submissions), due in no small part to Canis Minor, a featured article awarded a total of 340 points. A joint submission with Keilana (submissions), this is the highest scoring single article yet submitted in this year's competition.
Other contributors of note include:
- Sven Manguard (submissions), whose Portal:Massachusetts is the first featured portal this year. The featured portal process is one of the less well-known featured processes, and featured portals have traditionally had little impact on WikiCup scores.
- Sasata (submissions), whose Mycena aurantiomarginata was the first featured article this year.
- Muboshgu (submissions) and Wizardman (submissions), who both claimed points for articles in the Major League Baseball tie-breakers topic, the first topic points in the competition.
- Toa Nidhiki05 (submissions), who claimed for the first full good topic with the Casting Crowns studio albums topic.
Featured topics have still played no part in this year's competition, but once again, a curious contribution has been offered by The C of E (submissions): did you know that there is a Shit Brook in Shropshire? With April Fools' Day during the next round, there will probably be a good chance of more unusual articles...
March sees the WikiWomen's History Month, a series of collaborative efforts to aid the women's history WikiProject to coincide with Women's History Month and International Women's Day. A number of WikiCup participants have already started to take part. The project has a to-do list of articles needing work on the topic of women's history. Those interested in helping out with the project can find articles in need of attention there, or, alternatively, add articles to the list. Those interested in collaborating on articles on women's history are also welcome to use the WikiCup talk page to find others willing to lend a helping hand. Another collaboration currently running is an an effort from WikiCup participants to coordinate a number of Easter-themed did you know articles. Contributions are welcome!
A few final administrative issues. From now on, submission pages will need only a link to the article and a link to the nomination page, or, in the case of good article reviews, a link to the review only. See your submissions' page for details. This will hopefully make updating submission pages a little less tedious. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. On 8 March 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Syeda Bilgrami Imam, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that during her tenure Syeda Bilgrami Imam was the only female member of the National Commission for Minorities in India? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Syeda Bilgrami Imam. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Please help
Thank you for all that you told that I need to do to promote List of accolades received by Lagaan to FL status.
Please tell me this:
1. Is Ashutoshgowarikar.com a reliable website? 2. Are three paragraphs enough? (as you said 4 were too much for an article of that size) 3. How should I do the "order of ceremony"? Can I simply put the ceremony that happened earliest in bottom and latest on top? If not, please guide me.
Thanks again. Surge_Elec (talk) 14:58, 8 March 2013 (UTC)
- The oppose has come from myself alone. You still have plenty of editors waiting to review the list. There are chances that they might have a totally different view over this list from that of mine. So have no worries :) —Vensatry (Ping me) 18:12, 8 March 2013 (UTC)
- Ok. Thank you. Surge_Elec (talk) 09:21, 9 March 2013 (UTC)

You opened a GA review of this article last week. I was wondering when you were planning to begin the review? Thanks. Sarastro1 (talk) 18:38, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review and barnstar. Very kind! Sarastro1 (talk) 20:09, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
reliable source
do u think this source http://centreright.in/ is reliable? ---- Kailash29792 (talk) 15:02, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
- These two links might be helpful to you—WP:IRS and WP:RSN. —Vensatry (Ping me) 16:59, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
- In that case, I also believe IndiaGlitz is reliable. I don't have evidence to prove this, but many good articles like Paiyaa, Shriya Saran, Chiyaan Vikram, R. Madhavan and Karthi use it as a source. ---- Kailash29792 (talk) 14:44, 15 March 2013 (UTC)
- I'm afraid, many would not agree. Its article was deleted long back. —Vensatry (Ping me) 14:49, 15 March 2013 (UTC)
- I know that. But Behindwoods also doesn't have a WP article (it probably won't), but isn't it very reliable? ---- Kailash29792 (talk) 15:05, 15 March 2013 (UTC)
- Who said? —Vensatry (Ping me) 15:13, 15 March 2013 (UTC)
- Indiaglitz borrows through other reliable sources, sometimes. However, Behindwoods is reliable, especially for South Indian cinema.

- Neither of them are reliable. Just because other articles use them they are not reliable. Some use these sources non-controversial claims. —Vensatry (Ping me) 07:26, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
- What I am saying is not an argument, but believe it or not: the ultra-reliable source IBN Live borrows largely from Indiaglitz (eg: [3], [4] and [5]). This I think shows its reliability. ---- Kailash29792 (talk) 08:11, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
- Not every article on these websites were written by their authors. These kind of sites have been including articles from other sources as well; in this case they have attributed the original content provider (Indiaglitz). —Vensatry (Ping me) 08:39, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
- I don't know if IndiaGlitz and Behindwoods are finally accepted as reliable though i find them good enough, but do both of u say that Indian articles should use "million" instead of "crore"? there's been a discussion about that of late. interested can take part here ---- Kailash29792 (talk) 04:51, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
