THANK YOU. That little guy was the most annoying vandal I've had to deal with in quite a while. I am so incredibly pleased to see him blocked. :) -T'Shael,The Vulcan Overlord 16:01, 24 June 2009 (UTC 00:08, 30 June 2009 (UTC) Sorry for doing innaporopiate stuff on my new article. - There is an indef block notice from you here, but the block log comes up empty, and the user has made at least one edit outside their talk page. They are asking to be unblocked, but they aren't actually blocked, but maybe they should be... so now I am confused. Beeblebrox (talk) 21:27, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
- Don't you hate it when you go through the motions but forget to actually press the buttons? I do the same thing nearly every time someone needs talk page access revoked, I pick it from the drop-down menu but forget to actually make the change. Anyway, with three admins watching now it's safe to assume one of us will notice if he does anything else block-worthy. Beeblebrox (talk) 21:47, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
Oh, yes. At least the worst thing this guy may have been guilty of was some tendentious, single-minded editing to a single subject. At least it was a benign subject, but jeez, every edit? Anyway, we persist. :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 01:03, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

deletion (again) of List of Horizon episodes
This is very unbelievable... This time the reason given is "copyright infringement"
BBC Horizon is exactly the same kind of series as PBS Nova, http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/List_of_NOVA_episodes
Wiki would not be complete if the episodes of horizon are not documented. I just started to work on a nicely layed out page. It would be very frustrating if that would be delete also!
So would you please stop deleting the episode list, thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Arnoudmulder (talk • contribs) 01:37, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

Nova Games Development Company
This page was recently deleted for being a company that does not establish it's significance.
I disagree with the deletion on the following grounds.
1. The company is a legitimate video game development company like Bungee or Blizzard.
2. The company has made thousands of dollar sin profts.
3. The Impossibly Hard Quizzes developed by the company have over two million plays on Addicting Games alone. It should be noted the Addicting Games.com is part of the MTV company, and therefore Nova Games Development Company is an Independent Contractor for MTV.
4. A legitimate website exists for the company. —Preceding unsigned comment added by GFG2009 (talk • contribs) 02:33, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

Bambifan is back
IP address (New Bellsouth Mobile AL IP) and User account all making the same edits to the same pages. Based on that IP address, his new range is 74.249.96.0/19. The account is already blocked, maybe we can get the range blocked because 2 of his other Bellsouth ranges are currently blocked: 70.146.192.0/18 block log, and 68.220.160.0/19 block log. Since he's been editing the same pages since December 5, i'll bet it's time to protect them. I just don't get his demeanor, i'm just hoping AT&T doesn't disregard your abuse report. The Cath and I
This should have not been deleted.
This musical is a true one created with the consent of the subject.
When we created this musical the onlything we do not have as of now is the music composed.
This musical is to be preformed for our school musical next year when the teacher retires as a sort of roast.
It is then to be sent to a production company to be published and made available for widespread use.
Thank you for you time and consideration in this matter, XKingStevenX (talk) 01:11, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

I would like to talk...
Dear PMDrive1061,
It has come to my attention that you have deleted my page for the crime of "Vandalism." The deletion I feel is unjust to delete my page because I had no intention on "vandalizing" Wikipedia with fake articles. "The Four™", the name of my article, was deleted due to the fact that it violated Wiki-laws (G3: Vandalism. The truth is that The Four™ is a legitimate organization at my high school of Highland High School and I just wanted to share our fictional story with the world. I had no intention of vandalizing Wikipedia in anyway. I poured my heart and soul into that article and seeing that it had been deleted nearly crushed me. That is why I request that you please consider un-deleting it and letting it exist, for a few days. That is all I ask, Thank your for your time. - The Fourhead —Preceding unsigned comment added by The Fourhead (talk • contribs) 02:24, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
oil painting reproduction
Hello,
I'm creating one page named "oil painting reproduction", you said that it's copyright infrigement of http://www.art-ych.com/oil-painting-news/html/407.html.
You're wrong! I'm the original author "Lewis Liu" of this article. The website art-ych.com pirate my article without my permission!!!
The article's full name is The Industrial Report of Oil Painting Reproduction in China in 2006 -- What Course to Follow?
You may find the full article here http://www.oilpaintingfactory.com/english/report-oil-painting-industry.html, and I may send you the Chinese version if you want.
So please recover the deleted page by you!
Tks.

- It doesn't matter who stole what. Copyright infringement in this case means that an article has had a significant amount copied from another source. Regardless of what that source is, it's not allowed. You need to write the article in original own words. Thank you. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 10:27, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

You deleted a page about Tim Hutton. It meets the following requirements under WP:BAND.
- Has had a single or album on any country's national music chart.
- Has released two or more albums on a major label or one of the more important indie labels (i.e., an independent label with a history of more than a few years and a roster of performers, many of which are notable).
- Has received non-trivial coverage in a reliable source of an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one sovereign country.

then how could i contest deletion?
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding (hangon) to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
this is message that how can i contest deletion.. i cannot add with speedy deletion tag.. is that wrong? plz teach me how to do that. thnx. Gmlcks101 (talk) 17:58, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
- Well, it seems like the article has been deleted. In the future, though, if an article that you write is nominated for speedy deletion, and you think that you can adequately address the concerns of the tagger, then simply place {{hangon}} on the article's page and then address the concern(s) raised. @Kate (parlez) 18:01, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

Hi there. I wonder if you would not mind in protecting Disney's House of Mouse just as you protected Mickey's House of Villains, as it is target of vandalism similar to that of the House of Villains page: anonymous IPs adding extremely long lists of characters appearing in the show that never made appearances and some of which are not even Disney. Deletion of Kirkstall Power Station Page
I don`t agree with your deletion of this page. You say it has no substantive content, what are the opening and closing dates if not substantive content ! That was what I originally wanted to know but couldn`t find on Wikipedia. Hi PMDrive1061! I came across Da Da Da (Lil Wayne Single) while Huggling. I then went to place a welcome message on the creating editor’s talk page, since it was obvious that that was his first new article attempt. Once on his page, I found your comment. I thought I would spend a few minutes and help the fellow out by wikifying his stub so that it would not be deleted. This I have done, to the best of my limited wiki song article ability, as the history shows.
What I do not understand is that, I later discovered in my watchlist, is indicated that you deleted Sam20047426’s new article. But, how come it was still there when I went to edit it?
Also, have I done enough to retain it as a stub?
Finally, please have a read of the comment that I put on his talk page regarding the article. If it is to be a first article lesson for him, perhaps the article stub could be retained, so long as you feel that the work I have done is sufficient to save it. Thanks! — SpikeToronto 19:58, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
- Hi, Spike! I deleted the article since the original version was a totally empty Article Wizard skeleton. He may have simply hit the save button somewhat prematurely; the new article looks pretty darn good. If it was there later, I'm assuming that he restored it on his own. Thanks for letting me know. :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 00:21, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for getting back to me. I only hope he learns from the work I did for him on the article itself, and the messages left on his talk page, how to do it in future. The fact that he was eager enough to want to create a new article is a good sign! — SpikeToronto 00:51, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

Jeremy Stamper Articles
Hi PMDrive! I marked two almost identical articles on Jeremy Stamper for A7 deletion: Jeremy L. stamper (note the lower case s) and Jeremy Stamper. It’s possible that G10 might be more appropriate. Anyway, I am not a new page patroller, so I may have it wrong. But, the articles seemed duplicative and “fishy” to me. And, since I know that you work on page deletions, I thought that you might know best how to deal with them. Thanks! — SpikeToronto 07:12, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
At first, I thought these were legit...but some of the references at the bottom of the "Jeremy Stamper" version had nothing whatsoever to do with this individual and a Google search of the name turned up very few possible matches. Since it is easier to beg forgiveness tham to ask permission, I deleted them both as possible hoaxes. If another admin feels that there should be an article on the guy and he's a legit subject, it wouldn't bother me. What steams my fleckmans are plausible-sounding hoax articles and given the subject matter, it may have been just that. Thanks for alerting me; gotta split. :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 07:23, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

The article Shaycarl has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable user, uses user-submitted information as "proof of notability", some "advertisement" is present
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here) 00:59, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

Hi PMDrive! I have another one for you. For some reason, a 2½-month-old wikieditor moved Daniel Gray (Entertainer) to About Blank at 02:42EST, December 16. The original page name now redirects to the odd new name. Under its original name, there is an open AfD. Once moved to About Blank, that editor then deleted all of the article’s contents save for the AfD template. At first, I restored the content because how else can wikieditors comment on an AfD if they cannot read the article?! Then I realized the article had an article name that no longer corresponded to its contents. I think it should be moved back to its original aritcle name, Daniel Gray (Entertainer), until the AfD is resolved, and the About Blank page should be deleted. I left a message on the concerned wikieditor’s talk page, which, if deleted, you can read here. Thanks! — SpikeToronto 08:11, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

Inappropriate talk message after block
Here you wrote in part: "Do not ever come onto this site again and insult my country with your hatred and ignorance. Do I make myself clear? So help me, the next block of your IP will be of one year at minimum".
That's not an acceptable block message. Administrators are required to treat blockees with dignity and not abuse them - we can block firmly and warm firmly, but if we're abusive we cause all sorts of problems on Wikipedia.
I don't like what they were saying or doing either - but whatever they did, that wasn't acceptable as a response. The worst offenders we simply block without discussion. We block people who will probably be productive again later with more care and respect. But never like that.
I would like to request that you ammend the talk page block warning to one that is compatible with administrator behavior guidelines and which doesn't unnecessarily threaten or bluster at the user.

Why did you delete my page? Psycho Reign
It was a work in progress about a collection of short stories by "Mr.H" that are currently being posted on Capcom-Unity.com and on Deviant Art.com. Mr.H's stories are receiving alot of attention and alot of people are trying to find information on the subject and it deserves a wikipedia page. Could you let me know why it was deleted and could you reinstate it?

Woodlands Family Theme Park Devon deleted
You have apparently deleted the article "Woodlands Family Theme Park Devon", although it was marked as a stub and identified the park as an all-weather amusement park in Devon, UK. The deletion was marked "A3. No content.". Please see the definition of A3, below, with the relevant section highlighted. Also could you please wait at least a few minutes before deleting new articles to see if more content is coming. Thanks, Facts707 (talk) 00:26, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
A3. No content.
Any article (other than disambiguation pages, redirects, or soft redirects) consisting only of external links, category tags and "see also" sections, a rephrasing of the title, attempts to correspond with the person or group named by its title, chat-like comments, template tags and/or images. However, a very short article may be a valid stub if it has context, in which case it is not eligible for deletion under this criterion. Similarly, this criterion doesn't cover a page with an infobox with non-trivial information.
- PMDrive1061 replied:
Respectfully disagree. What you wrote was as follows:
Woodlands Family Theme Park Devon is an all-weather amusement park in Devon, United Kingdom.
This isn't an article but rather a declarative sentence. Anyone researching the subject knows what it is already; this needs a lot more content. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 00:29, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
- Of course it needs more content, that's why it was marked as a stub. And no-one would see the article unless they typed in that exact name or close to it, at which point hopefully they would contribute to the article. Which they wouldn't be able to do, since the article was deleted within 15 minutes of its creation. Could you try to be a little less zealous? Facts707 (talk) 00:52, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
- Articles should not be created as mere placeholders in the hope that someone else will come along and actually make a real article. Beeblebrox (talk) 01:13, 19 December 2009 (UTC)

Dance India Dance Season 2
Not that I disagree with the deletion - but your reasoning is wrong. The topic already exists as Dance India Dance; would have added a db-same tag to it...
Might be worth noting somewhere or somehow, I don't know... DavidDouthitt (Talk) 03:47, 19 December 2009 (UTC)

G4 is invalid, since the page has not been deleted via AFD before as far as I can tell. I never saw the article so I don't know about A7, but then, no one was !voting speedy delete at the AFD. Merry Christmas!!
Once again it is festive season, a time where festive decorations are displayed and gifts are swapped; but what about the true meaning of christmas? The true meaning of christmas is about the fight for freedom and how in times of hardship and misery, one person leads their people to freedom as a great warrior; for those who fight for a cause are warriors and those who fight for a worthy cause are great warriors. Such an act earns respect and honour; but most importantly, brings happiness to their people. So to achieve this as happiness lies in other people's happiness and greatness lies in how you deal with little people, we selflessly think of others in the hope that they will be happy this christmas.
Hi PMDrive1061, have a very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year 2010!

Gary King (talk) 04:31, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- He's been at this for over a year, using IP and named socked including ranges no one will range block because of collateral damage. 120+ confirmed socks, and another 109 highly likely just not tagged confirmed (mostly the IPs) Semi-protecting his targets has been the only thing that had any effect in slowing his efforts (and now he's taken to trying to trick established editors into doing edits for him or getting them to make unprotection requests). - I assure you that I cannot edit them. Gary King (talk) 05:56, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure it's not a software bug. If you check your contributions, you can find the articles that you marked as fully protected by searching for the string "edit=sysop". Gary King (talk) 05:59, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- (Chiming in) I agree that the ones mentioned by Gary King above are all fully-protected. If I, as an admin, click "edit" on Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders, I get the usual text: "WARNING: This page has been protected so that only administrators can edit it. Please ensure that you are following the protection policy." I get the log entry "02:29, 29 June 2009 PMDrive1061 (talk | contribs | block) protected Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders [edit=sysop] (expires 02:29, 29 December 2009 (UTC)) [move=sysop] (expires 02:29, 29 December 2009 (UTC)) (Excessive vandalism: Bambifan101 target) (hist | change)" (emphasis added), and I get the pink background to the editing box indicating a fully-protected page. - I don't have a particular article that I'd like to get unprotected at the moment, no. I just noticed that one of the articles I was watching was fully protected, which I found extremely odd considering it gets one or two edits a month on average. I can wait until you are able to drop the fully protected articles down to semi-protection. There are roughly 40 pages that you have fully protected recently. Gary King (talk) 06:06, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- Vandalism will always be a threat. I don't really see how placing dozens or even hundreds of articles under semi-protection will solve anything, since persistent vandals, like how you described this one in particular, will always find an unprotected article to vandalize if they feel like it. I am still working on the article, please let me finish it before deleting it... I have no idea why that is inappropriate in any way, it is:
a) a famous flash game, so how is it not notable? it should be included on this encyclopedia... it has been featured in news articles, has been played by tens of thousands of players- i seriously have no idea why it is not notable?
b) inappropriate? I can't see any reason as to why the article is inappropriate. I am still working on it so it may be short and incomplete, but then it should be marked as a stub. None of its content is inappropriate, it is a flash game, I don't understand...
Could you please elaborate on your deletion? It neither meets A7 nor A3 so I seriously can't understand why it was deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Happyland123 (talk • contribs) 02:45, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

Your block of Sk8punk3d288
Could you please explain what purpose this block served, and how it conforms with WP policy? The user made an error of judgment, which I caught and reverted within 6 minutes. I gave him a level-3 warning, which on reflection may have been a tad too severe; he has not edited since then. So why the block? Your reference to the media hoopla that may be related to his edit seems irrelevant, and suggests that the block may be intended to punish the user, which is of course completely inappropriate.
Speaking of which, I wonder why there seems to be all this anger at Sk8punk3d288, and none at User:AlmostCrimes, who made the same mistake without even a source—however dubious—to back him up, and whose change lasted nearly twice as long, and yet who seems to have escaped any censure but the level-2 warning I issued. How do you know RadarOnline et al didn't pick it up from that instead?
I strongly recommend that you reconsider and rescind this block. -- Zsero (talk) 17:14, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
- AlmostCrimes Should be blocked as well. Wikipedia already suffers from a serious credibility issue, and users who either 1. deliberately promulgate death hoaxes, or 2. exercise gross negligence and incompetence in checking and sourcing such edits regarding living persons, edits which have the potential to make national news, are the very epitome of disruptive editing, and which gives Wikipedia a bad name. Such actions most definitely deserve temporary blocks and PMDrive's actions were wholly appropriate. 01:33, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
Assuming a LOT of good faith
This is strictly my opinion (which I'm sure you don't need), but I just wanted to share my view. You unblocked the account for User:Kjrh tv. The account was created at 2:09, made no edits until 2:47, which is the start of the vandalism. The account vandalized, made one questionably "productive" edit, then back to vandalism. Then, just after getting a last warning, made another "productive" edit. I have no problem with second chances. Sometimes people make mistakes when they don't understand policies or sometimes just get heated about something and do dumb things. But they own up to it. The excuse about his teenage son doing it is unbelievable, especially when you look at the time line. Apparently, dad created the account, got up and left, junior sat down, vandalized, dad came back, made a single edit, then junior took over again? To me, AGF would be accepting him saying "I screwed up", but this story is not very credible. Anyway, I hope the account goes on to be productive. I'll definately keep an eye on it. Mapilathoad
Just a friendly question on Mapilathoad. This deletion has been brought up at WP:REFUND, and I'm a bit confused. It looks to me like it was originally prodded by Basket of Puppies (talk · contribs) as a NN area with no reliable sources. This prod is a little dicey to me, as inhabited or named areas are generally not uncontroversial deletions, so the only grounds would be failing WP:V. Given that there would be transliteration issues, AfD would be the more appropriate venue.
But what is really mystifying me is your deletion as patent nonsense. I can't in any way see that the article meets the definition, as it clearly is an article about a place in Kodagu. Did you mean to mean to delete it under some other speedy criteria? Or is there something going on here I don't see? Thanks!--Fabrictramp | talk to me 00:57, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
Please Help
Hi, you deleted the following article:
Rodrigo Barreto de Oliveira (aka Bamboo) is the designer of the [[3]] programming language and the author of Bamboo.Prevalence, the .NET port of Prevayler.
It has all the appropriate external links.
Reading the reason you gave: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:CSD#A3 I can see that "a very short article may be a valid stub if it has context, in which case it is not eligible for deletion under this criterion."

Bambifan in October
I looked at the history of an article I reverted, and I see Special:Contributions/98.90.96.243 was clearly Bambifan, reverting to his versions on multiple articles over a couple hours in late October. I also see that he used User:The Fairly OddParents to do obvious vandalism after he'd got the articles the way he wanted them, meaning that The Fairly OddParents' contribs were reverted back to 98.90's version. I don't know if that's a known tactic of his, but want to mention it if not. I reverted Tarzan II, manually keeping the good edits since then, but there's more pages which may need looking at. The page Return of the Ghostbusters (film), which you had deleted some days ago by considering it an hoax, has been recreated (I suspect that by the same user, and probably with the same content - the hangon template was still there). Check the article and if it's indeed an hoax, take the steps needed. This user had already vandalized the Wikipedia article (with a text that suggest he's evading some block), which is why I was checking his other contributions. Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market Page
Re your message: I added the external link for the Blog www.freshneasybuzz.blogspot.com because it provides the most information of any external source I've found thus far on Fresh & Easy. It's also independent info which is important.
The Fresh & Easy page on wiki is a bit wanting, all due respect. So adding the Blog helps offer readers more information.
I fixed some mistakes as well. There are many more. Might fix those later.
I do think the Blog link makes far more sense as an external link than the one you have there about a case study. That seems more like promotion. The Blog is a continuing source of info. Your call. But it is needed on the page.
Thanks.

Page Deletion
I apologize for making the obscene comment. Now here is the situation and since i guess your the person that makes wiki happen i guess you can inform me on how to go about this.
I am a volunteer at the org. i am writing about "Catholic Big Sisters & Big Brothers. This org. is ONLY BASED IN NYC, so i guess the conflict of interest came from the fact that there are many orgs. with big brother/big sister attached to them. Also I technically work for the NYC Civic Corp and Americorps VISTA, so no i am NOT DIRECTLY involved. All i noticed was there was no wiki for our org or none made on our web site, so i decided to make one before i move on to my next host site.
Where do I start...is what i am saying...yes i have read through the faq...so tell me where i should start since my article is having a "conflict of interest." —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cbsbb (talk • contribs) 17:18, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

Hi PMDrive1061,
I am rather new to EN Wikipedia so I might not be aware of all the rules. The problem is I had just created a page called 'Human rights commitment' only to find that you deleted it minutes later for copyright infringement. So I have re-created it - please do not delete it again and read the below.
I am one of the authors of the project mentioned in the text and I would like to create a Wikipedia article about it. The project is freely available on the web and will soon be published in an academic journal, so I am not sure what copyright I am infringing upon.
Please let me know, so that I may continue editing it. Thank you.

k but working on satellite by students is quite a notable event when ISRO is supporting it and bugget is in millions .. if i prove the truth of informaation do u consider it notable or still not..
and like this we will not be able to add any new material in wiki.... if it does not exist in web already.. plz consider..
by this do you mean that we cannot add projects that are being conducted in several universties as research work for the progress related information in wikipedia. like for example there may be many researches that are not yet completed but of great interest like canser treatment. so these are quite notable and certainly is enclclopedic work..

Block of Entryhelp
I'm currently reviewing the unblock request of Entryhelp. I had a question about the block. He's been accused of sockpuppetry, apparently by WP:DUCK by recreating an article, Son of alexander that was created User:Jojimark, both incarnations of which you speedy deleted within a few minutes of each other. Judging from this diff I think that Entryhelp was trying to mark the page as a copyvio but didn't realize that you'd already deleted it. I've put the unblock on hold until I hear back from you. Thanks for the response. On re-reading, I can understand your interpretation.
I was trying to make the page current since the system has only partially be rolled out. It's pretty clear that this (only partial roll out) has happened to save some face for the government, since the system is nearly 3 years late and they've been promising for months that 31 December was the absolute final deadline. There are numerous news reports of on-going serious problems with the system and its web page. Is a link to any of these (eg. [4]) enough to back up what I said?
Thanks for helping a newb.

The article Bill Popp and the Tapes has been removed as it is believed to be a hoax. This is a real band, based in College Point, New York since 1981. Your opinion please
I liked your quick work on the Merfish AFD, so could you have a look at David Neal. I think it's either a CSD:G10 hidden in a fictional article about a fictional character or maybe a CSD:G3, but if it takes some investigation it isn't really a blatant hoax. I can't find any info on the book or author online, not enough info provided to check any of the 4 inline refs, and I think CSD:A7 doesn't apply to non-real people. So is this a very clever SPA who knows our deletion policy very well? Cheers, The-Pope (talk) 00:26, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

Good morning. I noticed a moment ago that you have very recently deleted the page David Neal. Could I ask why this page was deleted, given that David Neal is such a prolific, well-known, and well-liked British actor? A quick glance at IMDB shows a remarkable career from BBC Shakespeare to Children's programming, spanning about 40 years. Given that he is clearly notable, with massive scope for an article, and plenty of links from other articles, I am left wondering what the grounds for deletion were? Many thanks. Sheps
Dear PMDrive1061 Im just curious to know why my article, Sheps of The Valley, was so hastily deleted? It was not crude or degrading in any form, and it followed the Wikipedia Guidelines. The reason for the lack of sources is because it simply did not have any available sources online, which is one of the reasons i made the page for the band in the first place. My facts were accurate, and the reason some of the comments may have come across as jokes to you is because the band itself is a very humorous group. I would have gladly made changes, or edited anything Wikipedia did not see fit, but instead you just axed the article within a matter of minutes. Please enlighten me as to what your reasoning to this was. Wikiu2 (talk) 21:11, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

- Responding: As I review, and continue to be pointed to deletion procedures, you regularly violate those procedures. Many articles you routinely delete do not look like spam, vandalism or anything in the definition of a candidate even for Speedy Deletion. But you habitually step beyond Speedy Deletion (where discussion can happen), put your unilateral opinion above all, and delete the articles. By all policies I see on WP, that habit must be stopped. Most editors nicely roll over and accept your abuse of policy.Trackinfo (talk) 18:55, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Hello
Please can you reinstate this page please? I tried to include evidence and believe it meets all the guidlines with reference backup.
Unfortunately I have not idea how to do the reference tags properly please advise.
If it does not meet the guilines please advise what is required to meet them as it seems to me it does.

Will you please nominate A. E. Goonesinha for DYK now?? I think something like "... that A. E. Goonesinha known as the Father of the Labour Movement in Sri Lanka, was born on the May Day of 1891?" would do nicely. Please nominate it soon. Thanks.. Gihaned (talk) 06:22, 16 January 2010 (UTC)

Shouldn't Brennan Saillezmotte simply be tagged and deleted then? Last time I checked, AFD discussions aren't made simply because someone puts up a hangon tag. Unless there's a major change I'm unaware of. -WarthogDemon 19:58, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
I'm glad I'm not the only one that was shocked by the page that user was creating! I was in two minds whether or not to report the page as an attack page.
Never, ever come across a page on here before about how to kill someone! See if I come across a page like that again (hopefully never!) should I report it as vandalism and then blank the page as courtesy leaving only the CSD template? I considered doing that before too but didn't as I know Wikipedia aren't too keen on blanking pages --5 albert square (talk) 03:01, 20 January 2010 (UTC)

Just wondering
A page you recently deleted, the Edlington brothers attacks, it said the reason deleted was vandalism. I was just wondering how you came to that conclusion? It was unsourced, but as it was on a real incident I was looking up some sources. I didn't write the article, so I'm not really bothered, I just don't understand why it was deleted under G3. Thanks, missrain(talk) 14:41, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
- Heh, well we all make mistakes, especially late at night. But I did find sources for everything the creator had written, on several different UK news sites etc, as the trial did get fairly significant coverage over here, although I wouldn't know if that makes it wiki-worthy, I'm too new a user to fully understand these things. missrain(talk) 18:46, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
- I've been looking it up and it does seem to be on all the major UK news sites, with David Cameron apparently planning on referencing the incident in a speech. I might have a stab at recreating it, sourced this time. The original article creator had put question marks instead of the date it happened as he couldn't find said date, something he/she mentioned on the talk page. However it will have to wait until tomorrow as life calls me away from the computer today. missrain(talk) 19:14, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

Grrrrr
Another Disney IP vandal is active ... Special:Contributions/71.189.223.21. This isn't a BambiFan101 sock. This particular IP is pretty single-minded, targeting Mickey Mouse Revue and making edits saying the attraction will be re-opening at Disneyland in place of Pinocchio's Daring Journey. This variant is branching out, also making similar edits in List of past Disneyland attractions. It's been a while since this idiot was active, and he/she almost always uses the same IP until it's blocked, and its M.O. is consistent with previous attacks.
I'll clean up its handiwork and keep you posted; I've already raised up to Level 4 warning on adding deliberate factual errors, so the next time should earn a block, in my opinion. Let me know if you have any questions/comments. --McDoobAU93 (talk) 00:18, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

Contesting deletion of DJ Vicious-E
The page is about DJ Vicious-E, one of the largest and hardest working DJ's within Caribbean and African music in Norway. As well as one of the driving forces in the country's Afro/Caribbean scene, and one of the main Afro/Caribbean concert promoters. In addition to occasional TV appearances and frequent radio appearances, Vicious-E has played at venues all over the world, and been the official tour DJ for several artists. In addition Vicious-E is the founder of the Aid organization Musikk Som Redder (Music That Saves) and Reggae Aid. I don't agree that "this does not indicate why its subject is important or significant" Please review —Preceding unsigned comment added by Erickingsk (talk • contribs) 01:51, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
DJ Vicious-E
Thank you for answering me so quickly. I read the notability requirements and feel is satisfies the following
- Has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent from the musician or ensemble itself and reliable.
- Has received non-trivial coverage in a reliable source of an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one sovereign country.
- Has become the most prominent representative of a notable style or of the local scene of a city; note that the subject must still meet all ordinary Wikipedia standards, including verifiability
- Has been the subject of a half hour or longer broadcast across a national radio or TV network.
In terms of the copyright infringement, I have rewritten parts of the text. I have also found some external published works, but I'm uncertain if I should create a new article or talk to you first.

Emily Margaret Brown Austin1
PMDrive1061:
1) Thank you for your note and positive reference to the sandbox project I am working on. Emily earned her place in history. I, along with a variety of people who follow Texas and US History, would like Emily to be recognized for her important contribution and place in history. I was honestly very surprised to find no developed page for her on Wikipedia. She is fully intertwined into many crossroads of 19th century America. Though Emily is overshadowed by her brother Stephen and father Moses in many respects (they have wikipedia pages already), her influence lasts through the present day and beyond.
2) I am new to using Wikipedia, and not sure if I respond to you here or where you wrote to me. Using logic, I am here. If there's some other select place to type to you, please let me know.
3) I cannot allow a scintilla of doubt to remain in your mind about the validity of the information provided to you because the implication is a question of my integrity. None of the information provided in the previous messages was a hoax. The number and the link were valid last night when I posted them to your attention. The 877 number provided to you was and is a valid, active toll free number on file with the SMS 800, with the telephone carrier, "Kall8". The number functions and presently goes to a law office. Had you dialed yesterday, you would have reached me personally. We would have talked casually and you could have helped me understand the term used to describe my efforts. Now, of course, I need to address the implied allegation or notion that any information provided to you was a hoax.
First, we can both agree that there is no obligation to give you a number, and indeed someone cautioned not to give private identifying information at or around one of these discussion boxes. At my own risk, indeed, in an effort to dispel mistrust and yield a productive conversation instead of label, the valid number was provided. Honestly I hoped you'd call and saw toll free as a way to save you money and promote communication. (Remember, until we spoke again, all I had heard is one word that begins with a "V").
Second, if need be, I could produce a statement from the phone company saying the number is valid.
Third, it's not your fault, but you searched for the number in the wrong database. You should have looked in the Resp. Org. Identification system promulgated by the SMS 800. Also, not all numbers are reverse searchable or in the database of 1800ussearch or intellius, let alone whitepages.com, or wherever you searched. (You did, of course, assume it would be in a database to which you have access, and that is an unfounded assumption).
Finally, a number does not have to be reverse searchable to be valid. (A number has to actually reach an end user from at least some location to be valid. Under 47 USCA 220-240, there are protections of phone numbers afforded to end-users including the right of anonymity. Moreover, unlike regular POTS numbers where many are on file in one way or another, hardly any toll free numbers are searchable in any database (except to find out the Responsible Organization that manages the toll free number). Either way, absent calling the number and seeking verification from the carrier (if they give it is another question), you could not reasonably draw a conclusion that the number is invalid. To be clear, the number was and remains valid. Kindly reply that you are so convinced.
4) Ironically, the casual reference provided for the "Emily Austin of Texas" book was apparently a sale site, and the sale must have ended. Here is reference to the very same book at the California-based school, Stanford University. http://searchworks.stanford.edu/view/7945745. The book was written in 2009 by the official Historian for the State of Texas (Light Cummins). Kindly reply that you are convinced that the book is valid too.
5) Once I get the Emily page complete, I look forward to asking for your objective critique.
6) I am very much a neophyte to Wikipedia and welcome constructive advice and specific direction. I am still learning basic presentation skills for Wikipedia. I hope this message dispels any suggestion of invalidity of information provided band validates the authenticity.
Thank you for your attention.
Cordially,

About the LBHS vandals...
Well, they're far from gone. I've recently found that they have a libelous website with links to my information on different sites around the internet; they're bascially cyberstalking me. And I don't think they go to LBHS at all; they have indicated that they go to a different school, which is why I think something needs to be done to disassociate the vandal from that facility (perhaps by referring to her/them as "the cheerleader vandal" or even "Charlotte Tarpon Cheerleader" instead of "LBHS Cheerleader"). I personally think it's time for a formal ban on them, meaning they actually appear on the list of banned users, and then there's no question. A rangeblock on the 69.171.160.x range would be nice as well. But I won't start the process myself or provide my opinion in such discussion (unless it is asked of me) as I promised not to back in December, and I like to stay true to my word. Unfortunately, I've had no choice but to become somewhat involved more recently because the most recent trolling directly relates to me. Perhaps you could start a ban discussion based on your observations, and suggest a rangeblock if you agree that it's appropriate? Thanks for your help in this. 3016 Airdrie Army Cadets entry
Hi,
I have just been trying to add an entry for the Airdrie Army Cadets and was told that you deleted it because "(A7: No indication that the article may meet guidelines for inclusion)". It seems similar to other pages for similar groups (see "http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=The_Calgary_Highlanders" and "http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/2861_RCEME") so I am unsure what I am doing wrong here.
Could you please provide more information? Was it formatted wrong (i.e. fixable) or just plain not allowed for some reason?
Thanks,

Hello I created a page titled Creed Hens, and was wondering why it was deleted. I am an independent filmmaker and have recently made an official trailer. Every video I have ever made has something unique, and I thought to open up our fan base creating a wikipedia article about our new video would help. It's not a hoax article and I am getting ready to upload the video, so I would like to republish my article Creed Hens. We are a legit group (Land of Nothing) and if you would like to check out some of our videos, feel free, but please don't delete my page again. Please respond back to let me know what you think.

Banned
Hey, when I try to edit an article not logged into my account it says "Range of the LBHS Cheerleader vandal" I do not know what LBHS cheerleader is, and I have no idea why I am banned. Please unban my IP range, as I feel like me and the people in this area have been unfairly banned.Arameus (talk) 08:54, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
Unfortunately, there's a very nasty vandal using your ISP, and your ISP will not respond to abuse reports. Since you have a registered account, there shouldn't be any reason for you to be editing as an IP now should there? The ultimate fate of your ISP's range lays with PMDrive1061 or his fellow admins, but your complaint might have more weight if you have your ISP contact an administrator as is asked of any K-12 student/teacher editing from a school. PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 23:44, 19 February 2010 (UTC)- Looks like they did go ahead and unblock the range, but in case it ends up reblocked, complain to your ISP about the situation. If they can take action against the abusers, or set up XFF headers, there won't be further problems for their other customers. PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 00:23, 20 February 2010 (UTC)

Poker player isildur1
Hi PMDrive,
I was hoping to create an article for the mysterious poker player Isildur1 and I noticed that someone had tried to create one and then it was deleted. I’m new to Wikipedia and was wondering if you could help me figure out what I should try to show to suggest that he is worthy of his own article.
He's been in the news a lot since the article was deleted, so maybe he's now sufficiently notable?
Isildur1 is a pretty big story in the poker world and has been referenced on espn.com, Bluff Magazine, and pretty much every poker news site.
Thanks, WhoWhoWhoIsMrBlue (talk) 19:52, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- If you think he meets WP:BIO, I would say go ahead and create a well-sourced encyclopedic article on him. The past incarnations were not sourced. Perhaps create it in your userspace first (at User:WhoWhoWhoIsMrBlue/Isildur1). –xenotalk 19:56, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Yeah I'll make it in my userspace, first. Finding sources shouldn't be a problem. Thanks! WhoWhoWhoIsMrBlue (talk) 20:04, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Hi,
I put together a rough draft at my user page (at User:WhoWhoWhoIsMrBlue/Isildur1) like you suggested. What do you think? I don't want to monopolize writing the whole thing, but I think what I've put together is a good foundation. Isildur1 started playing again recently so I'm sure there will be enough interest for others to chime in with help.
Thanks!
WhoWhoWhoIsMrBlue (talk) 01:06, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
Hi PMDrive,
Thanks for the comment on my talk page. Making it a "Did You Know" article would be pretty cool. It could be something like, Did You Know: "...that the 10 biggest pots in online poker history all involved the same anonymous Swedish player: Isildur1?"
The article (as of yesterday) didn't have enough characters for a "Did You Know" feature, so I added a section about the poker world's reaction.
So what's the next step? I guess I just publish it now?
Thanks for your help!

Hi there
I believe that Sega Shaheen is actually Amryose16. Very similar editing style though, so it's hard to tell. --Bsadowski1 06:54, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
- Chicks67 and Formula 86 were confirmed on another wiki by a CU as a sock of this person. --Bsadowski1 07:09, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, and thanks for blocking Sega Shaheen. If that account and Chicks67 - which have both operated on Welsh wikipedia recently, as I told Collectonian - are indeed socks of this Amryose16, then I think it likely that said Amryose16 is in turn a sock of the Brat. If not, then all I can say is that they are uncannily similar in their editing style and interests. The Brat stands out a mile on 'cy' and these two socks, operating in tandem, both used machine translations into Welsh in a style which the Bambi-besotted one has become adept at recently (he's even used tongue-in-cheek Welsh sock names) and appeared after the most recent spate of vandalism by him. As I say, for what it's worth I'm convinced it is him, but at least you might consider adding these to the Suspected Wikipedia sockpuppets of Bambifan101 category? Deleted Mohawk Valley Comets page
PMDrive, I'm curious as to why this page was deleted. I moved the info from the original Comets page and made a separate page due to the two teams not having any connection to each other aside from the city in which they played. One played in the ACHL in the 80s (if memory is correct), and the other was a NAHL team that played twenty years later. If it's an issue of references, I can see what I can do about digging up references, even though it wasn't my original page. I'm just not a fan of seeing pages moved without explanation. Jasonstru (talk) 16:28, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
"I'd suggest merging any of the forked information with the existing article. It'll be better served there. Thanks for asking, though. Also, thanks for being nice about it."
Not a problem. I didn't join wiki to irritate people. ;-) However, that information is not duplicated, and merging two unrelated teams doesn't seem beneficial to those seeking information. In my opinion, it's better to keep such information seperated. Your thoughts? Jasonstru (talk) 17:25, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
Understood. It was an exact cut and paste of everything down to the code, or should I say relocation to a different page, so I can see how that would happen. Thanks for restoring. I had some work erased today on another page and wasn't happy about it, so I could imagine how that user would feel. Always good to see wiki expand. Jasonstru (talk) 23:32, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
Speedy Deletion of 盘江
Hello. I noticed you speedily deleted the redirect 盘江, under WP:CSD#R3, that it is an implausible typo. I'm not sure this is correct; this was supposed to be the name in Chinese of a town (if I remember correctly), and according to the speedy criteria, redirects in other languages are generally useful (implying they should not be deleted under this criteria). Additionally, the guideline WP:UEIA lists a similar example for Beijing, where 北京 exists as a redirect. Please review; I believe this redirect should be undeleted. Thanks. –Grondemar 17:00, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the quick response! I fixed the double redirect, so no worries there. –Grondemar 03:39, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

Thanks (re: "Pink Panther vandal")
Just wanted to say thanks for blocking the unblocked IP of the "Pink Panther vandal", as I now refer to him/her. I have no idea why they insist on introducing subtly inaccurate dates across ~150 articles, but it's a real pain dealing with it. I'm never quite sure if I'm misusing WP:ROLLBACK when I perform blanket rollbacks of their edits; after all, at first glance they're merely unsourced edits, not intentionally inaccurate values. Only knowing the history of the edits going back six months makes the pattern obvious, hell I was watching Slink Pink for a month or two before I realized the people messing up its entries had screwed up the main list and all the other articles to boot. I always feel weird reporting to WP:AIV, because I need a paragraph of explanation to justify the block request. And I still can't fathom *why* anyone would bother with date-vandalism on this petty a subject.
Anyway, thanks for the assist. Just a heads up: when you have a chance, keep an eye on 76.230.235.49, which is currently unblocked, but has participated in these inaccurate edits before, and 66.237.73.18, which was the original IP to make these edits and is currently one month in to a three month block. Along with the IP you blocked (75.36.200.228), the three of them all make the same unsupported edits and none respond to warnings (although if you notice, User talk:75.36.200.228 was changed immediately after you blocked him, not to respond to the block or justify their actions, but to remove the repeatvandal tag, which shows astonishing gall). Aside from the currently unblocked one, all return immediately after a block to pick up where they left off. If they're dynamic IPs, they don't change often, as they've been editing under the same set of IPs for months on end. —ShadowRanger (talk|stalk) 01:16, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
- You bet. I blocked that IP once before for the same thing and the pattern of abuse stretches back a helluva long time and on a really strange subject to boot. People are just plain weird. Thanks for letting me know about those other IPs. I will most assuredly keep an eye on them. PMDrive1061 (talk) 01:27, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

The deccas
Thanks for your prompt reply on the deletion of my page on The Deccas.
I refer you to point 12 of your notability criteria and would advise that in January 2010 The Deccas were the subject of an hour long feature show on Radio Caroline, a national Radio Network. Does this count?
In terms of conflicts of interest, I used the user name The Deccas as this is the only addition/contribution that I wanted to make and so titled my account the deccas. No conflict of interest at all, I heard them on the Radio Caroline feature show and loved them.
Where do we stand now?

Vancouver Fire & Security
Hello
I was attempting to make my first contribution but it was deleted very swiftly before I could complete it, I am new to this so my article may have looked incomplete and without merit. I should have prepared a my article prior to logging in and writing it, I was only trying to see a preview and saved it so to anyone looking at it it would have looked like spam or an inapropriate contribution. I was trying to add a page on Vancouver Fire & Security which is one of the largest family operated companies in British Columbia with a long history, I have seen similar articles tio it on ADT "http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/ADT_Security_Services" and other companies that are in the same fields.
Would I be able to make another attempt at placing this article on Wikipedia?

The page is in the middle of construction and it has been created in less than 30 seconds. I'm about to tag it with Template:underconstruction. Please restore it back! Arteyu ? Blame it on me ! 06:49, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
- PMDrive1061, this user has asked on IRC, if the page can be 'restored'.
Perhaps you could userfy it to them?Cheers, Chzz ► 07:00, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm, although...looking at the deletion reason, I expect that it's pretty-much empty anyway? Chzz ► 07:04, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
- Never mind; we chatted; another SysOp gave 'em a copy, so it's all good. nm. Chzz ► 07:12, 7 March 2010 (UTC)

Done
Ahem, wanna roll the Sex dice?
Hey PM, I don't know if I successfully recreated that silly little article or not, but the topic is a tiny bit notable. I saw that you deleted it under A7, but I don't know if that was the stub I made with two references. Was it? Drmies (talk) 01:35, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
- PM, thanks. Would you like for me to order you a pair? ;) Drmies (talk) 02:43, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
Hate to say it...
...but the little worthless brat is back again. Jmac3568 (talk · contribs). Already filed the SPI, but could use help with the clean up. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 01:40, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
- Collectonian, I checked a dozen of them--it seems you've undone em all already, haven't you? Drmies (talk) 02:46, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
The Constellations (Band) recreated for fifth time. . .
. . .I don't think this editor is getting the message.--Morenooso (talk) 04:04, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Notability Sex Dice
Hi you removed the article Sex Dice yesterday, that I created. It is now back up as someone has created it again. Are you going to remove it this time? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tommysimms (talk • contribs) 16:22, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
Speedy Delete tag of Indus Trust
Very neutral query - I had tagged Indus Trust for speedy deletion as spam; creating editor properly put a "hangon" tag (good for him for reading the directions, actually - so few do) and you later on removed the speedy tag stating that you found the company had established notability. Does notability trump spam? I'm not in any combative mood whatsoever on this, just trying to ensure my future actions are copacetic. -Quartermaster (talk) 19:55, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
A message has come in at OTRS (ticket number 2010031010028651) complaining about your deletion of this article as a copyvio. Neither the page nor your message make reference to where it might have been copied from; would you please let me know what the source was so that I can revert to the OTRS correspondent? Stifle (talk) 16:57, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
- Hi. It was a clear cut-and-paste under an implausible title and has just been recreated on the talk page of a spam username. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 17:03, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
- Here's a sample of the text:
- Conrad is the leading multichannel supplier in the electronics sector, operating in over ten countries throughout Europe. Conrad offers over 100,000 products and services from 34 branches in Europe and via the Internet. From our distribution centres. 6.7 million packages with 120 million items are despatched every year.
- El spammo. :) Off to block the latest spammer as well. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 17:05, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
- OK, user blocked. The name is User:Conraduk and I had to delete the user page for the same copyvio/spam. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 17:09, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
- Sounds more like a G11 than a G12 then, but once there's a valid reason it's all good. Stifle (talk) 17:24, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
