Not sure if you consider Special:Diff/1134209563/1134258673 to be on the same level as creating a page about it, but the redacted content is all links to publications that give the full name. Do you want to follow up on your last warning, or shall I? Primefac (talk) 19:57, 17 January 2023 (UTC)

Possible unblock of User talk:CoolChib124
Hi Black Kite, would you object to an unblock of User talk:CoolChib124? PhilKnight (talk) 06:24, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
Possible irony?
Hi, was just wondering if Special:Diff/1140999717 was a serious question on your part. If it is, I'd urge you to reconsider your characterization, due to your nature as an administrator, of those of us that believe some of these editors merit sanctions as well as the serious nature of their behavior being discussed. — Ixtal ( T / C ) ⁂ Non nobis solum. 21:33, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
- It was of course irony, with a serious point to it. Black Kite (talk) 09:09, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
Et tu?
I genuinely believe AOC belongs in that category. Sure, it's not for anyone who's ever been a bartender, but if it's not just in their article but in the lede? That's another hint that it's a fairly important aspect of the person. We should at least be consistent; if you're right, the category is overpopulated. --BDD (talk) 23:54, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
- On the other hand, it has been used by various opposition figures and right-wing media to attempt to discredit her as a politician (i.e. [1]). Frankly, whilst there's a place for it in the article, I don't think it belongs in the lede either. It's not defining. Black Kite (talk) 08:14, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
- I don't disagree, but that certainly wasn't my intent. And of course, backgrounds and personal aspects of politicians will be used for all sorts of purposes. Think "He's a good Christian!" vs. "He's a Christian extremist!" Finally, AOC herself has leaned in to this aspect; it's clearly not something she's ashamed of or wants to hide. Drmies was supportive, but if I still haven't convinced you, I'll accept that there's two good editors who disagree with me, and I'll drop the stick. --BDD (talk) 16:28, 2 March 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks - I wasn't suggesting that was what you were trying to do, btw, just that it had been used in that way. Black Kite (talk) 19:15, 2 March 2023 (UTC)

Keith Raniere revdels
Hi Black Kite – just wanted to get your opinion on whether this edit needs to be revdelled for the same reasons as the ones you did earlier on that page. The living person's name isn't included in the text, but it is included in the title and url of one of the references, so it seems borderline to me. Caeciliusinhorto-public (talk) 14:51, 9 March 2023 (UTC)
- I think the editor in question (Evackost) needs to be indef'd for everything, and TPA revoked. You blocked them from editing Keith Raniere, which made them make a series of spiteful edits to their talk page to deliberately make it illegible. After I reverted it, that provoked them into this full-on rage. SarekOfVulcan reverted those edits, but they've continued to treat their talk page like a WP:BATTLEGROUND... clear evidence of WP:NOTHERE behaviour. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 12:31, 10 March 2023 (UTC)
- Update - I also brought this up with Acroterion. Looks like the user finally stopped (for now, anyway) after being informed of WP:VANISH. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 17:46, 10 March 2023 (UTC)

World War II and the history of Jews in Poland: Arbitration case opened
Hello Black Kite,
You recently offered a statement in a request for arbitration. The Arbitration Committee has accepted that request for arbitration and an arbitration case has been opened at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/World War II and the history of Jews in Poland. Evidence that you wish the arbitrators to consider should be added to the evidence subpage, at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/World War II and the history of Jews in Poland/Evidence. Please add your evidence by April 04, 2023, which is when the first evidence phase closes. Submitted evidence will be summarized by Arbitrators and Clerks at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/World War II and the history of Jews in Poland/Evidence/Summary. Owing to the summary style, editors are encouraged to submit evidence in small chunks sooner rather than more complete evidence later.
Details about the summary page, the two phases of evidence, a timeline and other answers to frequently asked questions can be found at the case's FAQ page.
For a guide to the arbitration process, see Wikipedia:Arbitration/Guide to arbitration.

Fishing Publication
Fishing Publication is at it again at Scott Adams, completely disregarding your warning. Stoarm (talk) 02:08, 25 March 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for taking the courtesy of pinging me to the discussion. I feel the need to say first off, and of course this is expected on Wikipedia, assume good faith and everything, I really don't have any problem with you, I don't see you as an adversary and I'm not trying to undo all of your hard and constructive work on Scott Adams, and in this light it is concerning to me that you've listed my username as the title of this section; typically the heading of a section of a talk page refers to the subject or problem of the comments below – but I digress; and have to disagree with your accusation, I'm not edit warring, I started a discussion on the talk page as you asked, I believe your remarks weren't relevant (you stated the content was reliably sourced – I'm not seeking to remove any content, only attribute and edit wording) –-- I waited three days for you or any other contributors to respond – and assuming that you had no further problem I restored my version of the article, whereupon you immediately accused me of edit warring and ignoring a warning from Black Kite. You also immediately remove a template notice for edit warning (as I also received) left by uninvolved administrator User:ScottishFinnishRadish advising them to 'discuss it with Black Kite', which also raises certain questions; I have to ask, when have you attempted to form consensus? Fishing Publication (talk) 02:17, 25 March 2023 (UTC)
- Fishing Publication You clearly don't have consensus for the change, so please stop putting it back in. Apart from anything else, it's totally pointless as anyone clicking the ADL link will be able to see what type of organisation they are - as well as being irrelevant in this context. I mean, you wouldn't say "according to the New York Times, a newspaper based in New York ..." would you? Black Kite (talk) 09:36, 25 March 2023 (UTC)
- Well I can see that but what about the other part, "seemingly innocuous", this sounds like POV or editorializing language Fishing Publication (talk) 16:23, 25 March 2023 (UTC)

System of a Down
I hope I have restored the heritage to your satisfaction. The point is that in the short description and the beginning of the lead sentence, we should avoid hyphenated terms. Those two spots should be solely nationality/country of residence. For clarity, we avoid combining that with ethnicity. It just takes a bit of rephrasing, generally, to satisfy both while following the guidelines. In any case, I don't want to tangle with you so I hope my modification is acceptable to you. Skyerise (talk) 22:44, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
- OK, that's better. My issue was that removing the hyphenated term removed the reference to Armenian heritage if it was not then referenced elsewhere, especially given that it is a big part of the referenced individual's background. Black Kite (talk) 08:19, 15 March 2023 (UTC)
Hello, EEng seems to have accidentally deleted most of the discussion while adding their comment just before you closed it [2]. The outcome isn't going to change, but the deleted content should probably be restored. 192.76.8.84 (talk) 19:02, 11 April 2023 (UTC)
- 192.76.8.84 Ah, thanks for that. I did wonder why it appeared to have been open for 13 days. I've restored the material and commented in my close. Cheers, Black Kite (talk) 19:06, 11 April 2023 (UTC)
India's population
You reverted my change to the population ranking of India, stating that "no reliable source to say this *has* happened", despite my providing a reliable secondary source to say it has (Ellis-Petersen, Hannah; correspondent, Hannah Ellis-Petersen South Asia (2023-04-24). "India overtakes China to become world's most populous country". The Guardian. ISSN 0261-3077. Retrieved 2023-04-26. {{cite news}}

has generic name (help)).
Other similar sources are likely to emerge this week, but rather than repeat the edit-revert exercise, I've started a discussion and citation collection to make things more certain.
I'd be grateful if you'd consider how many reliable secondary sources would be sufficient for you and the project, and add that to the discussion. Bazza (talk) 08:54, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) According to the BBC, it won't happen until the end of this week![3] DeCausa (talk) 09:21, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, I saw that, hence my second para above. Bazza (talk) 09:31, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
- It's obviously just sloppy wording by Ms Ellis-Peterson. It's clear that the two recent UN statements are either that it will happen end of April[4] or mid-Year. Sloppier reports convert either into "now". DeCausa (talk) 09:47, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, I saw that, hence my second para above. Bazza (talk) 09:31, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
- Even the Guardian article is speculation. Check the fourth line of the article - "According to the UN’s projections...". The Guardian is a reliable source, but it's basing a headline on a guess here. See also the discussion at WP:ITN/C. Black Kite (talk) 10:02, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the ITN link: I hadn't seen that. I've probably given The Guardian more credit that it's due, which is a bot out of character for me. Bazza (talk) 10:14, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
- Nobody knows to the day when this happened/will happen, because no count of population is guaranteed to be exact. We should wait for well-researched reliable sources to say this before changing anything, and no report that doesn't acknowledge its own uncertainty is well-researched. Phil Bridger (talk) 10:06, 29 April 2023 (UTC)

Topic Ban review
Can you provide any evidence where in the article main page I stated it as not a Conspiracy theory. I was written in talk page of the article as there are news investigation as acceptance by PFI about conversion and making Kerala Islamic state. So there was campaign going on in Kerala for religious conversion of non-muslim by different means but it was not forced but brain washing. I didn't written it in the main article as article also used alleged word. Dev0745 (talk) 15:18, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
- I thought my comment was fairly clear. You were writing in an article about something that is a conspiracy theory, using tabloid sources which claimed that it wasn't a conspiracy theory, and half of your edit was about something completely irrelevant to "love jihad". Your Opinion on this.
Hey, I found that you reverted someone's edit who removed the line "fictional storyline" from The Kashmir Files article. Which was properly sourced. But I want your opinion on a new movie called "The Kerala Story" which is exactly the same type of movie as The Kashmir Files. There are three reliable sources quoting this movie as a fictional film which include BBC, The Independent, and The Time Magazine. But a user is removing the thing and when I am asking him to remove the same thing from The Kashmir Files, he is not responding. Please give your opinion on this. There was also a discussion at the talk page of The Kerala Story, and no one has replied to my argument. Grabup (talk) 10:03, 1 June 2023 (UTC)

You mind G3/G10ing Paulmlester, the other option would be to RD2 revdel as you did at Paul Martin Lester but since the page was created in bad faith I think G3/G10 is the better option. Just once I'd like to see the scale fall from the eyes and for the admin in question to do the right thing. Just once. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 19:13, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
- What really bothers me is that this was so completely unnecessary. Any admin who has been around for longer than the typical coffee break is going to have a few "oh bleep! What did I just do?" moments in their record. It happens. At pretty much any point in the 48+ hrs the AN discussion was open before I took it to ARBCOM, all that was probably needed to defuse this bomb was an acknowledgement that they muffed the block, an apology and a promise to be more careful going forward. That's it. I've been editing for close on a decade and an admin (off and on) for six years. And yes, there have been a few times where I had to type an apology with one hand because I was using the other to wipe the egg off my face. I just don't understand the intransigence. Long before my RfA I learned that if I have a dozen editors telling me I'm wrong about something, then whatever my personal opinion, I am wrong. About blocking me from the article page of Mughal-Maratha wars
Hey @Black Kite do check my justification on Latest edit on page of Mughal-Maratha wars https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Mughal%E2%80%93Maratha_Wars Aryan330 (talk) 19:18, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
- It is completely irrelevant whether you're "correct" or not when it comes to edit-warring. See WP:3RRNO. Black Kite (talk) 19:24, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
- Hello @Black Kite
- As you had blocked me from that page, here I am about to give justification and to prove I am not that much wrong as I am also here for build not destroy!
- I am not saying that I was completely correct but I just unaware of Some policies of Wikipedia like WP:3RRNO, although I was not wished to be a part of edit war but had not remained option because at one time I was I attacked by 3 users!when I undid the edit of first one second one undid my edit when I undid his edit third one had come,I had said them that discuss in talk page but nobody taken seriously me on talk page!
- 1) Justification of 13 June - 1 July (till Fowler & fowler dived in it)
- Capitals00 surprisingly blanked the result page without discussing on talk page is this isn't a Edit war?
- when I undid the edit of Capitals00 and asked him to give sources or overtake me in talk page but he blanked it again and said Nobody needs to "overtake" you in discussion you can check it on https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Mughal%E2%80%93Maratha_Wars&diff=1162422388
- See my complain against Disruption of Capitals00 but none of anyone taken action on him!
- https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/Incidents it is as followed:- @Capitals00 has blanked the same result content of Mughal–Maratha Wars 6 times! As I just undid his blanking and asked him for evidence for blanking of result and sources also, instead of replying us he doing it continuously without being proved on talk page. The user @Aman.kumar.goel is also doing same thing, these users are seniors than us and suppressing our voice without providing sources! The page of Mughal–Maratha Wars has stayed peacefully from creation of this page but from June 13,2023, these senior users are continuously doing Ragging against us and that what I complained to Wikipedia administrators & because I complained instead of giving justification @Aman.kumar.goel complaining about me on this page regards false claim that I am harrassing Wikipedia administrators as this is completely fake as they replyed me about my concern as one administrator replyed me very politely! & I have a question if these senior users are harrassing us then what should the new users like us do?We have option to talk to senior users than them that what I done! I have found that @Capitals00 is targeting a specific community "Hinduism" as he removed most content releted in favour of Hinduism. "Mughal-Maratha wars" is also releted to Hinduism as that battle won by the people's which belongs to "Hindu Community" that's would be the reason for his blanking without providing sources. Same think done by @Aman.kumar.goel at the page of Aurangzeb in which he removed content which is telling that Aurangzeb destroyed Hindu temples which is present in almost every source releted to Aurangzeb. So Kindly take action against these 2 users for their ragging!
- As no one took action on neither Capitals00 nor Aman.kumar.goel,why? As they were also done the edit war
- As I am totally new & hadn't knewed the policies of Wikipedia but they had already knew it so why they do so and why didn't anyone took action on them?
- 2) Disruption of Fowler & fowler
- See my comment on him on
- https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/Incidents that was as follows:- @Fowler&fowler had made unconstructive edits continuously on the page of Mughal-Maratha Wars. He added very wrong information and used very disrespectful In edit summary and talk page about Shivaji and Sambhaji,he called Sambhaji a "jagirdar" but according to Wikipedia Sambhaji at the time of 1681 was formally crowned as king and ruled the Kingdom for 9 years! Jagirdar is the one who only had some villages in his control but Sambhaji had control of 4 percent Indian subcontinent and he was a "king" according to Wikipedia! Even after this he called Sambhaji a jagirdar which is disrespectful for him and constantly made more than 15 unconstructive edits on article page of Mughal-Maratha Wars in less than 12 hours! he added tons of content which had only one source and that itself doesn't contain that information completely which he mentioned on article. The way he editing the content releted to Maratha Empire it's very clear that he doing personal attack! Kindly interfare.
- When we had given them warning they didn't took us seriously!
- See warning of edit war by User Fayninja to Capitals00 :-https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:MobileDiff/1162202737 & harsh reply by Capitals00 to him by saying Reverted 1 edit by Fayninja (talk): Useless reminder see https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:MobileDiff/1162207538
- So they neither took us seriously on Talk page of Article neither on talk page of themselves!
- So what could I do?
- See my discussion against unconstructive edits of Fowler & fowler:- https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:MobileDiff/1162967428
- Point to be noted that I asked only sources everytime instead of that I didn't do anything as I didn't blanked content, didn't reverted edit without explaining that on talk page and providing sources, didn't made unconstructive edits!
- All I was done against this,as I just undid it everytime.
- So the term edit war also could be fit for users I have mentioned above.
- My style would be wrong as didn't knew about policies of Wikipedia as I am very new editer here but my intention is not wrong as I had always provided sources regarding my reverts on talk page.
- That's why I want another chance so unblock me for it so I could understand more about Wikipedia policies and do better edit.
- Waiting for your reply,
- Thank you. Aryan330 (talk) 21:04, 2 July 2023 (UTC)

Draft:Video and FIlmmaking as Psychotherapy: Research and Practice
Hi Black Kite - on 26 June you indeffed User:Drjoshcohen who had been trying to use Wikipedia for self-promotion.
We now have Draft:Video and FIlmmaking as Psychotherapy: Research and Practice (note the typo in FIlmmaking - possibly to put off searches?) This draft is nominally about a book, but does not mention the author(s) or publisher of the book in the article at all. From reference 1 these include Cohen, Joshua L - whilst 4 of the references and one "further reading" are also to Cohen's publications. I, therefore, suspect sock puppetry - are you willing to deal with this? or do I have to go through SPI? - Arjayay (talk) 12:11, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
- Don't worry about SPI, that's a very large WP:DUCK. Blocked and deleted. Black Kite (talk) 13:49, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
- Many thanks - but I suspect we haven't heard the last of this (ex)editor - Arjayay (talk) 13:52, 4 July 2023 (UTC)

SmallCat dispute case opened
You recently offered a statement in a request for arbitration. The Arbitration Committee has accepted that request for arbitration and an arbitration case has been opened at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/SmallCat dispute. Evidence that you wish the arbitrators to consider should be added to the evidence subpage, at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/SmallCat dispute/Evidence. Please add your evidence by August 4, 2023, which is when the evidence phase closes. You can also contribute to the case workshop subpage, Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/SmallCat dispute/Workshop. On this user's talk page, it states you revoked talk page access, but the block log does not appear to show this. Was there a mistake made here, one way or another? Just curious. JeffSpaceman (talk) 18:09, 21 July 2023 (UTC)
- Hm, could have sworn I ticked the TPA box! Clearly not - fixed now, thanks for noticing. Black Kite (talk) 18:11, 21 July 2023 (UTC)
- No problem, I was just wondering. As one final note, there is one more edit that was made to the Ken Carson page by an IP address (most likely by this user logged out, as I stated on their talk page in my warning) that contains the same content as this user's revision-deleted contributions to the page. Feel free to remove that too if you see fit. Thank you for all that you do here. JeffSpaceman (talk) 18:13, 21 July 2023 (UTC)
Happy Adminship Anniversary!
Happy adminship anniversary! Hi Black Kite! On behalf of the Birthday Committee, I'd like to wish you a very happy anniversary of your successful request for adminship. Enjoy this special day! CAPTAIN RAJU(T) 06:25, 25 July 2023 (UTC) |
There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. 81.214.107.89 (talk) 23:36, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
That block
Erm, I'm not avoiding any blocks, did you have me confused with someone else? I'm the 192 IP you've seen at ANI a few times. I was cleaning up a load of vandalised articles, replacing an article on a drink with "this is a slave drink" is vandalism [5]. Replacing a good article with "these people were all slaves [6] is vandalism. Could you revert your rollback of my edits, because you just reinserted a load of vandalism into articles. 192.76.8.66 (talk) 11:17, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, I know, I realised pretty much straight away! Sorry. I assumed it was CMD007 logged out but then realised that Obsidian Soul's edits were not useful. Apologies again - I'm just going through reverting myself now. Black Kite (talk) 11:19, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you, this isn't the first time I've been mistakenly blocked while reverting vandalism! 192.76.8.66 (talk) 11:22, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
- I slapped myself in the face as soon as I realised, I should have recognised the IP address (plus you're in the wrong country to be CMD007). More coffee needed I think. Black Kite (talk) 11:23, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you, this isn't the first time I've been mistakenly blocked while reverting vandalism! 192.76.8.66 (talk) 11:22, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
- Need a trout, lol? I have re reported the user to AIV. Thanks. The Herald (Benison) (talk) 11:32, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
ITN recognition for Trevor Francis
On 4 August 2023, In the news was updated with an item that involved the article Trevor Francis, which you nominated. If you know of another recently created or updated article suitable for inclusion in ITN, please suggest it on the candidates page. PFHLai (talk) 11:38, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
Topic ban violation
User:Cengizsogutlu is still editing on their restricted area but they are banned. Not sure if this is the correct place to report. Shadow4dark (talk) 08:42, 5 August 2023 (UTC)
- I can edit Turkish Military themed pages. Topic ban was about ethnic pages about Turkic people. Cengizsogutlu (talk) 20:34, 5 August 2023 (UTC)
- Cengizsogutlu No, it wasn't - "Cengizsogutlu is indefinitely topic banned (1) from making edits related to Iran and Turkic peoples; and (2a) from Turkey-related topics." I will post this again on your talk page so you don't miss it. You may not edit any topic that is related to Turkey in any way. Black Kite (talk) 20:40, 5 August 2023 (UTC)
Please delete previous edit history from my user page too
Hi, Thanks for your actions. @Marxist Economist vandalised my user page twice. You or maybe Lectonar have deleted edit history of one vandalism. I would request both of you to do the same of the previous edit too that he did just before that. Because he went out with that one. I shall be highly obliged. Shaan SenguptaTalk 12:21, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
- Done. Black Kite (talk) 12:23, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
- I just mentioned the other user who might have done it. In the mean time you did that. Thank you so much. Shaan SenguptaTalk 12:25, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
Help
@Black Kite Dear admin,
I am writing to urgently request the immediate consideration of blocking the user account @Rangia City Editor due to his persistent and disruptive vandalism on multiple Wikipedia articles. Such as-Nalbari, Guwahati, Tezpur, Baihata, Rowta, Nagaon district, Nagaon, Rangiya. Despite repeated warnings from fellow editors, this user has continued to remove substantial content from various articles without providing valid explanations for his actions.
The situation has escalated to the point where it is adversely affecting the quality and reliability of the affected articles. Other editors, including myself, have attempted to revert the changes, but the vandalism continues, making it challenging to maintain the integrity of Wikipedia's content. I understand that blocking a user is a serious step, but given the severity and recurrence of this vandalism, I believe it is necessary to safeguard the accuracy and credibility of Wikipedia.
I kindly request your immediate intervention to address this issue. It would be greatly appreciated if you could investigate the actions of @Rangia City Editor and take appropriate measures to prevent further damage to Wikipedia articles.
Thank you. AMNR0011 (talk) 15:36, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
- Done. Thank you for letting me know. Black Kite (talk) 17:50, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
Modifications
Hello, it seems that you deleted the modifications that I made to Sabrina Dhowre Elba’s page. I have been personally asked to make these changes/updates/rectifications (birthdate, alma mater, birthplace are all erroneous for a start) to her page so please do allow me to honour this committment. Thanks in advance. Rbyrby (talk) 05:07, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
BLP violations at User_talk:CordyChase
FYI, I reverted a couple of replies to you at User_talk:CordyChase which seemed clear BLP violations. JaggedHamster (talk) 12:45, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
- Indefinitely blocked. I did warn them. Black Kite (talk) 12:58, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
Would you mind taking a look at some of their edits when you have a moment? Example [7], Sloppy toppy, Mommy kink. Thanks, Knitsey (talk) 20:10, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
Why did you delete LATAM Chile Airlines destinations list.
There was nothing wrong with it, why was it deleted. Bradenmeddleton (talk) 01:12, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- Please see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Air Nippon destinations. Black Kite (talk) 07:58, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- Well you shouldn't do that, how else are people gonna wanna know where these airlines fly to, that just ruins the airlines destination list, also you're using stuff from 2018, that's outdated Bradenmeddleton (talk) 15:00, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- These sections have been on wikipedia since this website was still young, the fact that you're deleting it is just shameful Bradenmeddleton (talk) 15:02, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Bradenmeddleton We aren't a travel guide, people can use the web to access schedules and destinations. That's not our role as an encyclopedia. And you clearly didn't read the AfD discussion carefully as it mentions several other AfDs this year reaffirming the 2018 discussion. Doug Weller talk 15:37, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- that doesn't matter, also travel guide? we're an encyclopedia we give information, how are people gonna know where airlines fly Bradenmeddleton (talk) 20:30, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- We have Wikivoyage (link here) for such information. Here is the original discussion about whether Wikipedia should maintain such lists. Black Kite (talk) 20:38, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Bradenmeddleton well, there’s this amazing thing called the Internet and all airlines have websites where you can get up to date accurate information without hoping someone is updating Wikipedia articles or concerns about vandalism. Plus they have all sorts of useful information such as prices. Also there are websites specifically dedicated to providing comparative details. Our articles can never be counted upon to be accurate, uptodate or comprehensive. Plus as Black Kire says there is Wikivoyage. As you are so interested I hope you will help with editing there. Doug Weller talk 20:40, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- I don't know of any other encyclopaedia that lists airline destinations - seems like the right call. Girth Summit (blether) 20:51, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- up to date? none of them are up to date, they aren't even accurate when it comes to destinations, I've seen articles like American Airlines serving South Africa and the UAE, which they don't
- Also Wikivoyage has no airline destination list Bradenmeddleton (talk) 21:31, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
