Wiki Article for Steve Anzovin (email received)

Hello Douglas! (Tuesday, July 5, 2016 10:00 AM)

I hope you are doing well! My name is Miriam Anzovin, and I'm one of Steve's kids (the middle one). I think I recall in the past you got in touch with my mom and sister about the wiki page you created for my dad, and asked for any further sources and any info we might have in order to make the page the best page it can be! I've recently been going through some old documents and found things like his old resume that might be helpful in this effort, as well as I noticed a few little inaccuracies on the current page (for example, Anzovin Studio sadly did not create Halo 2, although that would have been amazing lol. Bungie Studios created that game, as you can see on the Halo 2 wiki page. ) Would your prefer me to send you the documents to update the page, or do you mind if I go in and make a few tweaks based on this sourced information? Please let me know your preference on how to proceed! All the best, Miriam Anzovin

---

Miriam,

Since anyone can edit Wikipedia, I would say for you to go ahead and edit the article yourself. Especially since you have the most knowledge on the subject. I know technically how Wikipedia works, and if I see something that needs tweaking I'll make the improvements on the edits you may have made. Need references for any new material you may add = references are defined as that previously published (i.e. book like Famous First Facts, magazine, newspaper clipping). A resume is NOT considered a reference, as that is considered Original Research (which is not allowed) . Removal of inaccuracies would be great (i.e. Halo 2).... Thanks for your help on this article. Doug Coldwell - the Wikipedian

---

Hi Doug!

Gotcha--I'll not use the resume as an actual source, but it will definitely help point me in the direction of acceptable sources (ie from his published works, articles, etc.) Thanks so much! I'll collect as much data as I can and then make the edits to the page. Obviously if you spot something that I listed or sourced incorrectly, please let me know! But I will do my level best to make sure everything is up to wiki standards. Best, Miriam

---

Sounds good! - Doug Coldwell

 • So far, there has been no recent activity for Steven Anzovin = but I suspect Miriam will edit the article. I get the impression she is new for Wikipedia and learning the ropes. She has the necessary material to make improvements and I believe she will soon. I have a watch on it and will correct (technically). --Doug Coldwell (talk) 11:12, 11 July 2016 (UTC)

Kraft Foods Inc

Hello, 7&6=thirteen -- I hope you are enjoying the summer. I have a question for you. I stumbled upon Kraft Foods Inc and was puzzled by the lack of punctuation. I think normally, it would be written, "Kraft Foods, Inc." I can understand if the company itself prefers no comma, but "Inc", with no period, I find odd. Then, in the first line of the article, it says "Kraft Foods Inc.", with a period. So, I guess this is two questions. Is the punctuation in the title of the article correct? If so, shouldn't the name of the company in the first line of the article match the title?  – Corinne (talk) 05:04, 11 August 2016 (UTC)

I agree. Good catch. Although it is now part of KraFT Heinz Company as you know. Trying to deal with the corporate mergers and acquisitions and deacquisitions is problematical. 7&6=thirteen () 16:54, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
Maybe these articles should be merged? 7&6=thirteen () 17:03, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
I have no idea. I don't bother with those kinds of questions. I see you didn't remove the period after "Inc" in the first line of the article; is that because the name of the company needs to be changed anyway?  – Corinne (talk) 03:11, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
Feel free to add it. I think that the name of the article will have to be changed, so that links to it properly work. 7&6=thirteen () 11:25, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

You might want to take a look at the talk page before getting involved in this article. It's been quite a ride. – Jonesey95 (talk) 21:18, 18 August 2016 (UTC)

That was only the most minor suggestion. By inches and increments construction helps. I've seen the mess there, and will steer clear. 7&6=thirteen () 21:20, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
Completely different issue. Thanks 13 for visiting the Austen page and leaving the edit field comment. From the other issues not appearing on the Talk page there, it is significant to ask if you might be able to assist with a Navbox for the Austen family of articles. I have no right to ask you to consider using your contrib time in this way, though I've never made a Navbox to cover an author's main novels and main sibling pages, which I think you might be very good at. I am very wary of making requests of other people's contrib time and there is no difficulty if its of no interest to you at this time and if you would like to leave that page in its present state. Cheers. Fountains-of-Paris (talk) 17:07, 26 August 2016 (UTC)
Fountains-of-Paris (talk) 17:07, 26 August 2016 (UTC) I've made a few navboxes. Never an author havbox. Suggest you use Jack London as a template. Just a thought. If you need more hands on help, let me know. 7&6=thirteen () 21:02, 26 August 2016 (UTC)
Well, I think I should have said a Jane Austen "Sidebar" since when I went to the Jack London page it was fully clear that there was no Sidebar there. There is also none on the Shakespeare page which surprises me since I would have expect one there. The Economics sidebar here is kind of what I had in mind for the Austen page, though if its of no interest to you then I understand you have other things for your contrib time. Cheers. Fountains-of-Paris (talk) 21:15, 26 August 2016 (UTC)

Hi 7&6=thirteen,

Your re-insertion of material [1] [2] fixed the formatting error but didn't respond to the substantive complaint. Please allow me to expand upon it here. First, it is not true that this was announced in August. As the cited article correctly notes, the most recent step in this story happened in mid-July, when the AFSCME convention approved it (though there is no evidence that it was contentious, so this was in that sense just a formality). But in fact it is older news than that: here is a New York Times article about the same event, from May. Second, "two unions agree to work together" is clearly newsworthy, but to give it an entire section in the articles on SEIU and AFSCME is massively overstating its significance. This is particularly because the merger aspects are pure speculation: there is no actual evidence that such a thing is going to happen in the forseeable future. For these reasons, I request that you reconsider your edit. I am willing to discuss alternative wording and placement if you like.

All the best,

JBL (talk) 21:48, 23 August 2016 (UTC)

Replied on your talk page. 7&6=thirteen () 17:07, 24 August 2016 (UTC)
Thanks. If you don't mind, I copy your comment here, just below this one. --JBL (talk) 23:39, 26 August 2016 (UTC)
You have some valid thoughts. I did not say this occurred in August. Merely indicated the date of the article. IMO, your deletion because of the format mistake (which was there) is not how I would have handled it. But make changes and make it better. I don't purport to owh any of this. Cheers. 7&6=thirteen () 16:31, 24 August 2016 (UTC)
First (and I apologize in advance for being another tedious pedantic person on the internet), I disagree with your second sentence: your edit begins "In August, 2016, SEIU and AFSCME announced ..." and this is just not true. Second, I have just done an enormous amount of work to clean up the SEIU article. Fitting the section you added in in a more natural way was one small part of that. Probably some of what I've done is potentially contentious (I did delete at least a couple whole sections). If you have the time and energy, I would appreciate it if you could take a look. Finally, I will probably take the new paragraph I've written based on your addition and add it to AFSCME. --JBL (talk) 23:39, 26 August 2016 (UTC)
I agree. You have my blessing.
Provided, I am expressing no opinion on your broader rework of that article. 7&6=thirteen () 12:50, 27 August 2016 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at Mackinac Bridge shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
You are also adding back unsourced, trivia and nonreliable (IMBD) information. Only add back the information when actually having a reliable source. Spshu (talk) 14:55, 29 September 2016 (UTC)

Received the template and note only that there has not yet been a WP:3RR violation by either of us or edit warring. Am trying to improve the referencing and addressing it on talk page. 7&6=thirteen () 15:25, 29 September 2016 (UTC)

Presque Isle Harbor Breakwater Light

During a discussion regarding the article on Marquette, MI, John from Idegon suggested I create an article about the Presque Isle Harbor Breakwater Light, which I'm considering. He also suggested that you might be a person who could help with such an article and/or that you might already have such an article in progress. Is that something you are working on or do you have suggestions for information sources? I already have the National Register of Historic Places description. Thanks Sf9000 (talk) 01:23, 8 September 2016 (UTC)

I'd be happy to collaborate. If you look at White Shoal Light (Michigan) (or most of the Michigan lighthouse articles) you can find the 'usual suspects' – sources – that I added). I would note that light is not listed in Template:Lighthouses of Michigan. I also own a book on historic Michigan lights, but it isn't here and I won't have access for a couple of days. Have at it. 7&6=thirteen () 11:47, 8 September 2016 (UTC)

GANs

I just now added Army and Navy Union of the United States of America for a Good Article nomination. Someday it will be reviewed and given some issues to solve before it is made a Good Article. Since you have some interest in this article, I thought I would give you a heads up on that. Then you can look it over in the near future and do some tweaks in preparation for this GA review. If you take care of those issues brought up by the reviewer, then you have 'brought it to GA status' = another green icon for wallpaper on your User Page.

I have also these articles in for GAN. If any of them look interesting to you that you may want to 'bring to GA status' THEN put on your watch list and you will catch the Reviewer's issues to work on. Then you get more green GA icons for wallpaper. If you don't respond to one within a day of the GA review (whenever it happens), then I'll assume you are not interested and will solve the issues myself to bring to GA status. As you can see it isn't all that difficult, especially when you are already familiar with the article and subject, as in these cases of articles we worked on together in the past.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 21:17, 8 September 2016 (UTC)

The article only took some housekeeping and research. And a little bit of expansion. Other than that it was fine. {:>{0>
Seriously, for all the editing I did I only added 500 bits of text. Although I added a lot of formatting and citations. I for one would like to have done a 5X expansion on it and take it to WP:DYK, but that would require a whole heluva lot more writing than the sources (and my interest) justify. That would have been just deserts for trying to get it deleted. I suppose, however, that the improvements to the article are proportionate to the provocation. 7&6=thirteen () 16:03, 1 October 2016 (UTC)

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

Your username

You may want to change your username. It appears to be causing trouble when it's used in a yo-type template. See, for example, WP:RPP#Vitamin C (singer). If you have the correct settings on, it says in large red letters: Error in Template:Reply to: Username not given. My guess would be that the = sign is throwing it off since that's used to declare parameter names. The template sees the parameter |7&6=thirteen and, because the template doesn't have the parameter name (|7&6=) in the template code, it doesn't do anything with it. Hence, the "Username not given" error. Gestrid (talk) 07:32, 26 November 2016 (UTC)

User:Gestrid, Thank you for the note. I appreciate the 'heads up.' The problem does occur occasionally. However, I went to the link you supplied WP:RPP#Vitamin C (singer) and didn't observe the error — large red letters: Error in Template:Reply to: Username not given. — you report.
I do know that Ping doesn't work, but that User:7&6=thirteen gets to me. So there are problems, known and unknown.
I was grandfathered in to this user name format a very long time ago. After 9 years and nearly 100K edits I am not easily persuaded to give up my Wikipedia identity, FWIW. Best regards. 7&6=thirteen () 12:03, 26 November 2016 (UTC)

Sorry

Hi, 7&6! Sorry for referring to you as "they" at the Drmies talk page. I'll know better next time. Also, a suggestion: when you have a "hot and happening now" vandalism situation at a page, feel free to call my attention to it at my talk page (assuming you first check my contributions to make sure that I am online). Or do the same with any other currently online admin. That can get action a lot faster than requesting at WP:RFPP, where the wait for a response is commonly hours. --MelanieN (talk) 17:53, 26 November 2016 (UTC)

I'll keep that in mind. WP:PP was just an afterthought; I would almost never try to invoke it regarding a WP:User page, unless we have a persistent WP:Sock or whatever exigent circumstance might demand it. I regularly go to WP:AIV, and give them an apt description that gets quick attention. Been doing this awhile so I know the hurdles and the drill. Best to you. 7&6=thirteen () 18:42, 26 November 2016 (UTC)

Thank you!

Hi 7&6=thirteen, and thank you for providing references at Parts of a sail. This is but one of many sailing-related articles that need such help. It would be great, if you joined Wikipedia:WikiProject Sailing and contributed further to Wikipedia:WikiProject Sailing/Articles needing work. I noted your tongue-in-cheek template chiding editors for drive-by laziness on tagging articles. I've been such a drive-by person, at times, but at least I've been active improving other articles. Sailing has been on my back burner. Keep up the good work! User:HopsonRoad 14:16, 31 December 2016 (UTC)

I've long been a signed participant in Wikipedia:WikiProject Sailing. Done lots of articles in one form or another. Among many others, Wayfarer, CL 16, Turtling (sailing), and the list of sources in Glossary of nautical terms come to mind. I thought the last was a real contribution to the encyclpedia. 7&6=thirteen () 14:23, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
Also did a lot of editing related to scows, kayaks, catamarans and proas. And lots of small edits relating to races. I tend to write about things I personally know something about.
I really wanted a WP:DYK for the turtling article, but would not knuckle under to those to wanted removal of WP:how to. I wouldn't dilute the article and kiss that ring. 7&6=thirteen () 14:45, 31 December 2016 (UTC)

Page number?

Hi and Happy New Year 7&6=thirteen, in Parts of a sail I changed an obviously incorrect page number to one that seemed about right with this edit. Unfortunately, Google books wouldn't show me the page number, only the contents of the passage. Perhaps you could verify the correct number, Cheers, User:HopsonRoad 13:38, 1 January 2017 (UTC)

No worries. That was the number of pages in the book, not the page number of the citation. 7&6=thirteen () 14:22, 1 January 2017 (UTC)
I have the number of pages in the book at 518 from the Google books data, although it did show originally in your citation as 4294—an improbably high number! In the second edition, which I have, "tack" falls on page 417. Perhaps you could check your edition for the correct page number. Cheers, User:HopsonRoad 16:20, 1 January 2017 (UTC)
Sorry, but I don't have the book. Was doing this with on line resources. 7&6=thirteen () 18:00, 1 January 2017 (UTC)

Happy New Year

Thanks for your suggestion, 7&6=thirteen. If you would supply a lead sentence, I would turn that into it's own section. Cheers, User:HopsonRoad 22:13, 1 January 2017 (UTC)

I put a lead sentence into the article itself. It will need more editing, but it is a beginning. We should probably mention the need for common nomenclature. Captain and crew can only work seamlessly together if they speak in common terms. Commands to 'tighten the thingy' are just bewildering. OTOH, I have a friend who denominated the "Boom" as "the whacker", and that was a good descriptor. 7&6=thirteen () 22:32, 1 January 2017 (UTC)
I concur that your recent change doesn't reflect MOS:LEAD. Perhaps your proposed title would have a lead, like this: "Sail parts and terminology pertain to the elements that define the shape of a sail and its constituent parts." If that works, or something like it, you could put it under your Talk page proposal. Cheers, User:HopsonRoad 23:04, 1 January 2017 (UTC)

Fireball Similar Products

Hey! I'd like to find a middle ground with you in regards to Fireball Whisky similar products. I went through the items line by line and don't believe these items belong on the Fireball page. Most of the brands do not pass the notability test, many of them are not written from a neutral point of view. The only reason they are there is the inclusion of cinnamon which does merit their inclusion on the Fireball page. If this was the case every product with pineapple would have similar products with pineapple addition. My best option is to meet in the middle and create a new page about the cinnamon flavored subsection and we can include cinnamon products on that page. Please look through the similar products. Many of the citations are not independent third party citations or have any reputability. Some of the citations go on to promote the brands ad agencies and it really seems this is not being written in good faith, rather as a marketing tactic. Bermsalot (talk) 11:03, 4 January 2017 (UTC)

AIV Report

Hey there, I wanted to let you know I removed your report on AIV about the Michael Stevens (educator) page, because I think you meant to put this on WP:RFPP. Just to let you know, it looks like Samtar protected the page. I'm going look through the edits and see what may need to be revdel'd. RickinBaltimore (talk) 20:37, 4 January 2017 (UTC)

I did revdel a number of the post. Yes, he said someone on a podcast, it doesn't mean it should be included on Wikipedia. WP:BLP applies I think in this case. RickinBaltimore (talk) 20:43, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
I knew I was in the wrong forum. I have had bad (slow) experiences at WP:RFPP. I sent straight out emails to several admins and to Wikipedia, and had gotten no responses. This was one of those coordinated assaults that required an immediate response, and I thought WP:AIV might react if I shot up a flare. Makes me want to be an admin so I can do something besides ring bells ...
Thanks for the note. 7&6=thirteen () 20:49, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
It did work obviously, thanks for the heads up there on it. Just a friendly reminder for next time (and I do look at RFPP frequently, so I tend to act when needed). RickinBaltimore (talk) 20:51, 4 January 2017 (UTC)

Feedback requested

Hi 7&6=thirteen, I’m looking for feedback on a proposed title that reflects the now-agreed-upon scope at Talk:Parts of a sail#Resolution?, where I asked:

Then how does Sail components sound? It begins with Sail and we're really talking about the constituent components of a sail. It's also two words to the current title's four. The lead could be, "Sail components include the features that define sail shape and function, plus its constituent parts from which it is manufactured."

Please let me know whether this works for you at the talk page. User:HopsonRoad 14:16, 5 January 2017 (UTC)

I agree. Replied on article talk page Talk:Parts of a sail#Resolution?. 7&6=thirteen () 14:33, 5 January 2017 (UTC)

Why was my edit of the michael stevens page removed? It included real information regarding him from the H3 podcast in which he was the guest. Nafinkle (talk) 20:40, 4 January 2017 (UTC)

Not every detail of a person needs to be included on their page, and to be honest it's falling into WP:BLP territory. RickinBaltimore (talk) 20:42, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
Put in a proper citation to a WP:RS.
This is a WP:BLP issue. WP:Libel is implicated. Serious stuff. You may get yourself blocked from editing if you cross acceptable lines. 7&6=thirteen () 20:44, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
If I can add WP:BLPGOSSIP factors in here. "Ask yourself whether the source is reliable; whether the material is being presented as true; and whether, even if true, it is relevant to a disinterested article about the subject." The first part, well yes he said it. The second, again he said it. The last however, that's the key. Why does what he said matter or in any way relevant to the subject? RickinBaltimore (talk) 20:47, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
For the record, this sock Nafinkle is Blocked. As are other WP:SPAs that were coincidentally created and appeared on the attack on this page, along with several anonymous accounts. Their handiwork was been WP:RevDeld. 7&6=thirteen () 14:44, 5 January 2017 (UTC)

AFDs, software and bolding

Unless something's changed, it's the closer who looks the voted and not just count them but weigh up the policy and guideline based votes to make a decision, which might even ignore some votes that don't have policy or guideline backing. No software involved. Doug Weller talk 13:23, 6 January 2017 (UTC)

User:Doug Weller Actually, there is software, not in the closing or tabulation. But I was recently provided a link to a table showing my participation in AFDs, which said I had "commented" in over 100 and "voted" in a couple — but because I had not bolded my vote the software missed it. Facepalm Facepalm Just goes to show the universe is bigger than our knowledge. 7&6=thirteen () 13:28, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
We seem to now count all sorts of things. I'm not sure if that count is that useful, but in any case it doesn't affect the AfD. Maybe people use it to help make decisions at RfAs, I've got no idea though. Doug Weller talk 14:09, 6 January 2017 (UTC)

Well, I noticed and I request you find more productive outlets for your fairly decent sense of humour. Cheers - Srikeit 06:37, 6 January 2017 (UTC)

Hi 7&6. Regarding the removed PROD at this page: are you able to provide any references that show it exists? Reply to your email

Yahoo! doesn't like my IP address for some reason? It rejected my reply to you. Anyway I think this is OK to post on-wiki: I'm assuming the pings to you that didn't work were via a template. In MediaWiki, if the value of a template parameter contains an equals sign, you must specify which parameter it is a value for. So E.g. will not work, since the system thinks "thirteen" is the value for the "7&6" parameter. You must instead use (1= says make whatever is after it apply to the first unnamed parameter). Anyone pinging you with a template will have to remember to do this. However a normal wikilink like should work fine. The same is true if you add your signature to any template. For instance . I have to do the same with my signature, since the markup contains an equals sign. Hope this helps! MusikAnimal talk 12:22, 20 January 2017 (UTC)

User:MusikAnimal FYI, I did receive your email. Thanks. I knew what didn't work: and what did work . I did not know the work around. I take it that the signature otherwise looks OK? Best regards. 7&6=thirteen () 12:44, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
Yeah signature is fine! There is some weird markup/CSS though, you could instead use:
<span style="text-shadow:#396 0.2em 0.2em 0.5em"><span style="color:#060">7&6=thirteen</span> (<span style="color:#000">☎</span>)</span>
So I changed the <b>...</b>'s to <span>...</span>'s, and used wikimarkup to make it bold. HTML5 says don't use <b>...</b> solely for boldening, even though it does work. Finally, I don't know what class=texhtml is, but it won't do anything as inline CSS, I removed that. Or if you don't mind the parentheses being bold, we could simplify the markup to:
<span style="text-shadow:#396 0.2em 0.2em 0.5em; font-weight:bold"><span style="color:#060">7&6=thirteen</span> (<span style="color:#000">☎</span>)</span>
Just nitpicks, not important :) MusikAnimal talk 12:58, 20 January 2017 (UTC)

Disambiguation for "60s punk"

I've been meaning for awhile to ask someone to help me in making a slight adjustment. I've noticed that the term "60s punk" currently re-directs to the article, Proto-punk. However, the term is used by fans of mid-1960s garage rock to refer to the music of that era. While proto-punk does include 60s garage, it also refers to later music from genres of the early 1970s. An editor just added a mention that "60s punk redirects here" a the top of the garage rock article. While though it doesn't currently direct there, he is correct that it should. Now might be a good time to make that change of having the term "60s punk" redirect to Garage rock. Could you be of assistance? Thanks, Garagepunk66 (talk) 02:34, 25 January 2017 (UTC)

Please give me examples of all these wild false claims you are making . How is using the talk page to talk and ask valid questions vandalizing , harassing , insulting? ?

Are you guys above discussing anything , like some angry , abusive father figure ? I try to click on anything on MY talk page to talk you guys and there is nothing I see to do that . that's why I comment on YOUR talk pages . What do you call people that lie about you or others ? The guy lied claiming my comment that simply pointed out , in great detail , the mistake in an article . How is going into detail so the mistake can be better understood some huge crime , personal attack , harassment , vandalism or insult ? There is nothing I see that I can click on MY talk page to talk back to you guys . But I guess I'm not supposed to talk back because talking back( trying to discuss something ) is vandalism and harassment . I really don't see how any questions I have asked are insulting . Civility should work both ways . Are you guys now going to block me because I dared to say something back ? I am not doing any of things you guys asked m not to do with this comment , so there should be no problem with this comment or the last one I made . If you guys REALLY meant " don't you dare write another word to any us about anything or else we'll block you " , then THAT'S what you guys should've wrote . Yeah . . . . I know . . . ... . . how dare I try to use the talk page to actually talk ? Lol . The nerve of me . I am being humorous here , so don't read this with an evil , angry , type of attitude . The problem with writing online is people put your words into their own context and say your written words to themselves with the emotion and voice they imagine you'd be using . I think that was the problem with the guy that started this whole thing by taking totally harmless comment as some huge insult and personal attack . It seemed like " how dare you tell me there's a mistake " . — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.110.185.79 (talk) 15:56, 25 January 2017 (UTC)
You need to calm down. I have not been uncivil to you.
If you can't figure out what you did wrong, my pointing it out won't help. Like asking a blind man to "see" colors.
Lighten up, clean up your discourse and be civil. Cut out the use of CAPS. It's shouting. Forget about irony, as it just doesn't come through on a keyboard. You are working in a cooperative project, and you should act like it. Your attacks have consequences, and are outside the norm.
IMO, your best course is to say "lesson learned, and I'm sorry." But that is your personal strategic decision, and not my legal advice.

You accepted my (incredibly minor) addition to the page on Money (That's What I Want) but it was later overturned by a user Egghead06. I put it back, and he not only revised it, but went and revised an edit I did WEEKS ago on Pump It Up. I'm assuming at this stage that it's just childish stalking on his behalf?

Yo Ho Ho

My mate Mark just sent me a link to these. Thought you might be interested (... or might already be an expert, of course). Martinevans123 (talk)

Also , I go nuts about spelling mistakes so it might have kept re-posting my comment every time I fixed a spelling mistake .

Which could have been checked if those comments weren't already deleted . Probably didn't bother to notice that the comments weren't exactly alike . You mods really need to take a chill pill and stop being so over-sensitive about every last thing . It's like " he dared to write another word to me . .. . that's harassment " . Lol . I'm here trying to discuss something and it seems like I'm getting the door slammed in face saying " NOPE , we aren't discussing anything because we're above that ". So basically I'm being told " don't use the talk page to talk because we'll count that as harassment and a personal attack " . Lol

Help, please...

An editor is questioning some of the statements made in North American Piedmontese Cattle and has added a cn tag here and there. Also see the TP of the article. I'm in the middle of a major project so I'll be out of the country for a while. I was hoping you would please review the tags, and add as needed to improve the article. Thanks in advance...Atsme📞📧 01:16, 19 February 2017 (UTC)

Atsme you left a red link. I think this is the article North American Piedmontese that you were referring to. If not my apologies. MarnetteD|Talk 02:11, 19 February 2017 (UTC)
Thank you, MarnetteD.
Thirteen - I broke free from the current construction project (while the paint is drying) and updated the citations. It appears NAPA updated their website so there were a few dead links in the article. I also found a book by Oxford University Press that provides the scientific explanation for how the North American Piedmontese cattle were determined to be a breed. Hopefully, the article is now properly updated and cited. Atsme📞📧 21:08, 19 February 2017 (UTC)
Additionally - I just now realized how much important information about the breed was removed from that GA. Apparently, the editor who removed the information is not familiar with F1-F2-F3 conventions, or how beef cattle breeds determine a cross, or what actually substantiates a "breed". Quite a bit of info was removed with an edit summary note that it was "commercial" or "brand name", etc. See the edit history. The breed itself was even challenged so I added a RS to the first sentence in the lead. I do need your help after all because some of your Notes were removed, and I'm not familiar enough with that process to restore everything. I made a request on User talk:Justlettersandnumbers requesting a self-revert or replace all the breed information that was removed, so I'm hoping they will take the proper action. It involves quite a bit of work to go back through the article and figure out what all was removed, and then have to rewrite it all. Atsme📞📧 22:51, 19 February 2017 (UTC)
One last update - I'm pretty sure I've updated all the links and restored the breed information. If you get a chance, please check it out to make sure the article still meets GA standards in the event it is challenged for whatever reason. Atsme📞📧 14:01, 20 February 2017 (UTC)

User:Trooper1005 And I didn't go to WP:AIV, but here User:Roblon111 got blocked. Like I said, it's a short fuse. 7&6=thirteen () 02:12, 17 March 2017 (UTC)
Yes I have seen. Since I put most of the talk pages I edit on my Watchlist, most of the people I warn get blocked within a few minutes if they stack up the warnings. Even some users with only 2 warnings get blocked too if they are just here to make inappropriate edits. -=Troop=- (talk) 12:29, 17 March 2017 (UTC)

I did the DYK review for this and approved. But there is one point in the article itself I find confusing. Please see the section I put on the talk page. MB 01:18, 20 March 2017 (UTC)

User:MB Did a clarifying footnote. Good suggestion.
Thanks for the review. I'm thinking about the alternate hooks now. 7&6=thirteen () 01:46, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
That takes care of it. One more comment - I think the article doesn't truly bring out the terror of the trip. Skimming the sources show things likes encountering fierce storms, sharks, the torn rotator cuff, and getting entangled with a giant squid or whale. MB 02:03, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
And everything that could go wrong did. I also did not give as much attention as could be to the unique design of this boat. The French paddler's failure was a lesson well learned and not repeated. Good suggestion. I'm getting worn out tonight, but I'll try to put something together soon. 7&6=thirteen () 02:10, 20 March 2017 (UTC)

lol too late for an apology. I was already so confused about. I was not sure if i only dreamed about putting the comment there. (I am on some potent medicines for my insomnia, sometimes i get confused in dreams and reality)
but as it was clearly unintentional (there is no logical reasoning for motive either), we are humans, mistakes happen dont worry about it. :) —usernamekiran[talk] 18:38, 21 April 2017 (UTC)

Do we have any idea what materials were used to construct the structural elements of the Wawatam Lighthouse? The key role of a welder, Ed Morris, hints that the lighthouse could have been built and then rebuilt with steel plates raised as a curtain wall around a structural armature, but I have never been inside the structure and do not know the answer.Bigturtle (talk) 19:18, 26 April 2017 (UTC)

The St. Ignace newspaper article is as close as I can get. Booker, Ted (December 30, 2010). "Builder of Chief Wawatam Lighthouse Shares Story of Project's Origin". St. Ignace News. Retrieved April 26, 2017. None of the other sources I looked at detailed the structure. 19:24, 26 April 2017 (UTC)
Thanks Bigturtle (talk) 19:54, 26 April 2017 (UTC)
I do think that some kind of steel is implicit. He was selected because he was a consumate welder and metal fabricator. The making of octagonal tubes suggests that, too. But in wikiland implications won't suffice; it would be branded as WP:Synth or WP:OR. 7&6=thirteen () 20:13, 26 April 2017 (UTC)

PFE Albee

Thanks for the edit, but we're talking about line-by-line paraphrasing in the 1st and 2nd paragraphs. Perhaps you can condense them and eliminate the storytelling nature of the prose? Yoninah (talk) 20:10, 29 April 2017 (UTC)

I copy edited more. Yoninah, Are you talking about the lead paragraphs?
Otherwise, IMO, the rest of the article doesn't closely paraphrase anything. If you are talking about 'structural' "close paraphrasing" I think you have gone overboard in your standard. 7&6=thirteen () 20:24, 29 April 2017 (UTC)
Thank you for your work. I found the line-by-line paraphrasing in footnote 1. I had done some editing in the Early Life section to get rid of the close paraphrasing from that source, but it still persists through Career. If you don't think it's a problem, then I don't know what to do. Yoninah (talk) 20:38, 29 April 2017 (UTC)
I replied on the DYK nomination talk page.
Footnote 1 has almost no content.
Footnote 2 from the URL includes the following:

[Quoted text removed]

I did lots more copy editing. User: Doug Coldwell could you please take a look and fix it. As I value Yoninah's opinion, I want to resolve any issue. I am not seeing it, but maybe I've gone blind to the problem. 7&6=thirteen () 20:55, 29 April 2017 (UTC)

The article Henry Stephens (lumberman) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No claim of notability is made. Obviously no sources to back the non existant claim.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. John from Idegon (talk) 00:33, 4 May 2017 (UTC)

John from Idegon User:LadyofShalott FYI, There was a claim of notability in the article. Deletion was previously rejected. Is WP:GNG. No compliance with WP:Before. I will expand article and sources.
