No reception/analysis, brief commentary on who played them in the film. Fails WP:GNG. At best, can be redirected to List of Sin City characters. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 14:33, 14 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Very significant coverage in Farrimond, K. (2017). The Contemporary Femme Fatale: Gender, Genre and American Cinema,Taylor & Francis, p. 42.; also in LoBrutto, V. (2019). The Art and Craft of Motion Pictures: 25 Movies to Make You Film Literate. Bloomsbury Publishing (although that book's approach is confusing in my view); interesting section on both characters and their treatment and meaning in Color and the Moving Image: History, Theory, Aesthetics, Archive. (2013). Taylor & Francis. At worst, a Redirect. Opposed to deletion. -Mushy Yank. 23:02, 14 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced plot summary. Unlikely term to be searched for. I don't see the need to redirect this. Fails WP:GNG and WP:NLIST. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 14:30, 14 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed draftify. This is a fan adaptation of a video game/TV series. Can't find any independent or reliable source reviews of the game itself, proposing delete. Bobby Cohn (talk) 14:39, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. Worked with the draft's author and there is no indication it meets GNG. qcne (talk) 16:44, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I just want to tell you that unfortunately many articles are published at once and there is hardly any time to review, and the bad articles remain, I just want to say that there are articles that are worse.

Mine isn't finished yet, there's still the characters section, I need a second chance and I still have one section left to improve, there are articles that have the warning of unreliable sources and are worse than mine, please (´;︵;`) Emilia delmonte (talk) 15:16, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again @Emilia delmonte. Was there anything about our previous discussions you didn't understand? I think I made it fairly clear what our criteria were. qcne (talk) 16:47, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Also discussed at User talk:Bobby Cohn § Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Five Nights At Gumball's. Bobby Cohn (talk) 19:00, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Emilia delmonte, what people are really looking for is some hint that this game has been reviewed or written about by a professional writer. That's how we decide if something is important enough for wikipedia. If you can find a link to a review or article by a professional writer, that would probably be enough to save this wikipedia article.
It's not about quality, or how finished it is. The quality is actually fine (Good job.), and we know you'd be able to finish it. The problem is the notability guidelines. ApLundell (talk) 21:33, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I also agree that the quality is not bad. However, is the subject notable enough to be reviewed by independent, reliable sources that significantly cover the subject? Conyo14 (talk) 23:11, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Completely useless article which was then turned in an implausible redirect and has now been turned into an implausibly named disambiguation. No idea why it hasn't been long deleted instead, the title is not something one would look for. Fram (talk) 10:22, 11 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This is just a lengthy plot summary and a neatly organized list of appearances in media. No reception/analysis. Publication history could be merged to List of Hellboy comics, since it is arguably better formatted. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:57, 10 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think this article is a candidate for deletion, but it does need to be refocus. It shouldn't be about the fictional organisation in the comics, but rather about the 140+ issue comics series, B.P.R.D. Hellboybookeeper (talk) 11:28, 14 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That makes sense, but we still need sources to establish that series notability (reviews/analysis of or awards to the series as a whole). Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 14:35, 14 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hellboy Universe (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

This is a weird fork of List of Hellboy comics. It purports to be about a fictional entity ("The Hellboy Universe is the fictional universe of the Hellboy comic"), and is categorized within Category:Fictional universes, but it contains neither the expect plot summary or the hoped for analysis or reception; instead it's just a long list of publications. It's unclear why the broad concept of Hellboy's franchise does not encompass comics; per WP:ATD I think this could be merged to the aforementioned list of comics - or Hellboy (franchise) (which for some reason seems to be only about films and such, and not about the printed media - even through obviously they all are part of the franchise...). Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:56, 10 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

To clarify a few misconceptions in the original post, List of Hellboy comics is not about the Hellboy Universe, but exclusively about the Hellboy series specifically, covering around 15 books worth of material. The Hellboy series is a very small portion of the Hellboy Universe, which spans over a hundred books. Though the universe is named after the character of Hellboy, this is simply because the Hellboy series was where the universe began, not because it is about the character. In fact, Hellboy does not appear in a vast majority of the Hellboy Universe. A big part of the reason I originally created the page was because the Hellboy Universe is so big, people simply aren't aware of how much all exists within this single continuity—there is simply nothing else like it in comics.
Unlike the Marvel or DC universes, the Hellboy Universe is creator-owned and has never been rebooted. It is not reshaped at the whims of publishers of editors, but rather maintained by its creator, Mike Mignola, and he's kept it a single ongoing continuity. It is the single largest creator-owned comic universe, spanning over a hundred books. This falls outside the purview of Hellboy (franchise), which is focused on the Hellboy media franchise based on the Hellboy comics, not the Hellboy Universe.
Instead of talking about deleting the page, I think it would be far more useful to talk about what you'd like to see to bring it in line. Certainly, I'd like to make all the tables collapsible so they don't dominate the page, but that information is still available to those interested.
Hellboybookeeper (talk) 01:42, 11 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ummm. What needs to be done for this to survive is to add reliable sources explaining what this is about. You did so, more or less, in your post above, but right now this, like all in the article outside the lists, is WP:OR and has no WP:GNG. The lists might be usable somewhere - we certainly list media (lists of comic books, etc.) in various places, but I am not even sure at this point what the name of what you have here should be, if not List of Hellboy comics. A List of Hellboy Universe comics? Do we even have a RS for the term "Hellboy Universe"? Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:58, 11 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm going to retool the article heavily, keeping the lists but tucked away (because online that information is very hard to find in one place and it's a nightmare to track all the various stories if you aren't already extremely familiar with them). The Hellboy Universe is the official name of the universe that Dark Horse uses. I definitely want to focus more on the publishing history of each series and clearly define the corners of the Hellboy Universe they occupy in relation to each other.
Hellboybookeeper (talk) 03:24, 11 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Hellboybookeeper Good luck - ping me (and anyobody else who commented on this) when you are done, hopefully this can be rescued per WP:HEY. If you need more time, I'd support userfying it. That said, I still think it would be logical for the franchise article to contain an overview of all media (ex. compare Batman (franchise), Superman (franchise), then comics can be listed in the list of comics (ex. List of Superman comics, List of Batman comics). The universe needs to be notable on its own to have an article in the format of other articles in Category:Fictional universes (note: there may be a few bad apples there...). I am still not sure what could be in this Hellboy Universe article except discussion of fictional universe (plot summary+reception+analysis). Comics should be in List of Hellboy comics, and all media, plus summary of that list, should be under Hellboy (franchise). And if the fictional universe cannot be shown to meet GNG than this article sadly won't have any reason to exist. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:12, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm probably not going to have time to work on this till late April. Hellboybookeeper (talk) 00:37, 13 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Redirect to Hellboy. Given efforts won't be carried out for a while, we should redirect this for the time being given sources showing notability haven't been illustrated. The page history is preserved should it be needed in the future. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 18:39, 15 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Superman robots (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

Plot summary, list of appearances, +OR lumping them together (this is about a collection of niche characters - robots resembling Superman). No reception/analysis, heck, even the very name of this seems to be fan-made. Refs are the usual primary sources/fansites/etc. No reception or analysis. I don't think this merits even a redirect. Reception is limited to a single listicle. Fails WP:GNG. Per ATD-R, could redirect to List of Sin City characters. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 13:40, 8 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Svartner, this article has been deleted so is not a suitable redirect target page. Liz Read! Talk! 00:51, 11 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
When I made the comment the article still exists. It can all be redirected to the List of Sin City characters. Svartner (talk) 09:55, 11 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Right, except is that list encyclopedic? But for as long as it exists, sure, that's a valid target. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:07, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

"name of four different fictional comic book characters". Neither of which appears notable (WP:GNG), given the article has no reception/analysis, and is just the usual plot summary/list of appearances, however. Per ATD-R, could perhaps redirect to List of Superman supporting characters? Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 13:26, 8 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Does not appear in any RS, may not be notable PlotinusEnjoyer (talk) 00:53, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Belasco is one of the few openly black, gay erotic artists. Erotic artists are often neglected, compared to non-erotic artists. I think those characteristics are enough to deserve an entry in Wikipedia.
That being said, Belasco has also been published in Meatmen (comics), a very important gay anthology of its time. Another reason to keep this article.
If that helps, Belasco has a current and updated Patreon page at [2]https://www.patreon.com/BelascoArts Frpe01 (talk) 17:12, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I hope I'm allowed to post again on the same subject.
A few more sources about Belasco's work:
The site for The Advocate (magazine) has a page, https://www.advocate.com/art/2021/8/25/miguel-angel-reyes-sketches-sexiest-men-world#rebelltitem1, for a 2021 online gallery including examples of Belasco's work.
The Advocate (magazine) also presented a 2013 show that includes Belasco's work at https://www.advocate.com/arts-entertainment/art/2013/07/11/galleries-sexyblack

Coverage is limited. A few major publications wrote about his podcast, but all around the same time when it first launched so it's basically all advertisements and not particularly substantial. His name also comes up in coverage of the end of Arthur because it was announced in an episode of the podcast, but none of the coverage is focused on him or the podcast. NACTOR asks for "significant roles in multiple notable [projects]" (emphasis mine), and it seems to me that he only has one. QuietHere (talk | contributions) 05:47, 26 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This would probably require a whole other discussion, and is certainly outside my area of expertise, but looking at The Tofus, I'm not entirely sure that series is notable, or at least not as far as its Wikipedia article shows. Among its sources, I see multiple primary sources and indexes/databases, but only two (KidScreen Magazine and C21Media) providing independent news coverage. Doesn't seem like enough to me.
