Is Wikipedia now Conservapedia?
How is citing Wikipedia being a poor source to cite on a Wikipedia page, and how would that be considered vandalism? Sounds like Wikipedia has become biased to the right instead of balanced, especially since an editor on this page happens to also be a writer employed by PJ Media. Would you care to know who? I didn't think so.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.97.43.96 (talk)
- Usually the criticism is that Wikipedia is too anti-conservative, not that it is biased in favor of conservatives. Wikipedia cannot be used to cite other Wikipedia articles because Wikipedia is not a reliable source. Beware against outing other editors. 331dot (talk) 09:45, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
- 331dot, Lol in all my years this is the first time I've ever heard someone accuse Wikipedia of being too conservative. Sulfurboy (talk) 19:54, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
Funny that Wikipedia is not a reliable source, but I can see why when their editors are politically biased, and a few of them are also paid employees who edit their employers pages, but that's not a conflict of interest with these editors anyways.
Hmm...but also beware about COI editing...allowing an admitted paid employee/writer with PJ Media to directly edit the content of their employers Wikipedia page, as it has been reported but ignored. Perhaps ignoring that COI bias could be why Wikipedia as you say cannot be a reliable source in this age of fake news being spread by paid Wikipedia editing, but do the Wikipedia Administrators know this COI practice is going on with their lower level editors on this page? I came onto your talk page to be gentleman and provide you an explanation, and perhaps have you research it with other editors without bias. However, I didn't expect to be arrogantly attacked by you in reporting a COI editor, even though I never provided their name. I can see that this talk page is a waste of time with you, so onto the next level. Cheers.

Hi Theroadislong
Thanks for your feedback re "they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people)." I have taken that on board and added 14 more secondary sources that show the subject is noteworthy and seen as the voice of the football agent industry - he's been cited/referenced by top sports/business journalists in key media publications. I hope this satisfies the notability question. Thanks Iregno8 (talk) 06:45, 27 March 2020 (UTC)
- Your draft has been declined again by another editor. Ref bombing is not helpful, please learn how to wiki link subjects, Wikipedia cannot reference itself, Facebook and YouTube are not reliable sources. Theroadislong (talk) 08:06, 27 March 2020 (UTC)

Submission
Hi, Theroadislong,
Good day, and thanks for reviewing my submission.
This is my first attempt at making a Wiki page, so I apologize if I'm making basic errors. I'm not currently associated with the page I'm writing and not sure why it's coming across like an advertisement as per your feedback?
I'm not trying to promote or sell anything. I worked with the company a couple of years ago, and after seeing similar companies/competitors with pages on Wiki I really wanted to learn how to make a page and chose this company as they looked like the typical "fit".
Is there any hope for this article? If not, I will move on.
I appreciate any help and feedback.
Well wishes to you in these times we're experiencing right now.

- I think the sourcing would need to be improved as well as the tone, the references seem to be mostly routine press release types. Theroadislong (talk) 12:34, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
I thought the line on the value of prize being more than the modest cash value was a fair report of Pockley's Prizes offer only modest cash awards but money is unimportant when quality shines through.Doug butler (talk) 16:52, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
- Maybe, but it just didn't sound very encyclopaedic to me, feel free to add it back if you wish. Theroadislong (talk) 16:56, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
Brian Hochstrat Article Rejection
Hello and thank you for your fast reply to my questions. I want to discuss your comment, "'Hochstrat hand engraves collector-quality firearms and knives using gold and other precious metal inlay, featuring extensive fine bulino and scroll coverage" content like this would be fine on his own website but sounds too promotional for an encyclopaedia article. Are any of the awards notable?"
If you have issues with, for example, with the use of the word "fine". "Fine bulino" is an engraving technique. That is the actual name of the process. The process is defined here: http://www.engravingarts.net/Glossary2.html. These are collector quality firearms. That is not subjective, it is a fact. The last gun he engraved sold for over $100,000.
I certainly do believe that his awards are notable. He is competing against all other engravers worldwide and is being chosen as the best by his peers and industry experts. Also, to receive the master's engraver certification is quite a process. You only get that recognition by producing work that is approved by the best engravers in the world. You know how Navy Seals vote to choose the next member of Seal Team 6? That is basically the same as being chosen to become a master engraver. The process is detailed here: http://www.fega.com/about/MasterEngraverInfo.asp.
I am not trying to be rude, but I am frustrated. I appreciate the help you have provided me along the way and I do want to make this article proper for Wikipedia. I do want to meet the requirements, and I feel that I already have.
Let me know what you think and thank you again.
- OK, it still sounds promotional to me, though perhaps it would help if "extensive" was removed? When I asked whether the awards were notable I meant in Wikipedia terms, ie. do they have a Wikipedia articles? Theroadislong (talk) 17:31, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
I will remove extensive.
The only commendation I could find a Wikipedia tie to was Gun Digest. https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Gun_Digest
I haven't read in any of the rules that I need to be able to tie my information to other Wikipedia articles. These are real awards given at gun and knife shows and are notable to everyone that follows the gun and knife industry. Do I need to create a page for the Firearms Engravers Guild of America to get this published? I am once again going to come back around to [Warenski]. His awards are notable to everyone in the knife industry even if they aren't necessarily notable enough to have their own page on Wikipedia. Mr. Hochstrat has more prestige than Mr. Warenski had because he's been included in these industry-leading books. He's considered one of the best engravers in the world right now. I feel like I'm being required to go above and beyond the actual Wikipedia requirements to publish this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JLbranch40 (talk • contribs) 19:03, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
Rose Dodd wikipedia page
Hi
I resubmitted the Rose Dodd wikipedia page this evening. I think (?) I have a message from you that just reminds me to read the page about submissions about musicians. So I'm not sure if you're reviewed the page, rejected it or what. As you will read - the main parts are not RD as a musician but as an author so I'm not sure why I'm being sent to musicians pages - she hasn't released albums - she has published two books about musicians as well as articles. She is also a composer, but as is clear from the article, her books lead. If you could let me know please how to proceed and I will communicate your answer to her publisher. I have written the article as I was requested, but obviously it is not my job to make sure it qualifies for publication. Many thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Smusma2 (talk • contribs) 23:04, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
- Smusma2 If you have been requested to write the article then you need to disclose your clear conflict of interest, I have now corrected the relevant criteria she needs to pass to Wikipedia:COMPOSER. Theroadislong (talk) 16:04, 29 March 2020 (UTC)

I have seen you have decline the article . But i have given 4 references of reputed newspapers article and they have more than a mention about kadam tree writ.also i have full article on kadam tree cutting banned in rajasthan but it is in hindi and i have cutting of the news with since it was of year 2004 . - The court papers are what we call primary sources so cannot be used to establish notability. Theroadislong (talk) 14:02, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
- But what about news article in hindi newspaper of year 2004 . Also the two references i have added of The Hindu newspaper have more than a mention about writ for banning of cutting kadam tree , at least both of the article have one one paragraph on writ . Also i have other news articles available with me in english but they are not available on internet but they are in english and of reputed newspaper like The Pioneer. They are not online available as they were published in year 2008. Alekh99 (talk) 14:25, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
Also wiki general notability guidelines states clearly that wiki needs significant coverage but does not need to be the main topic of source material . Even both The Hindu article have Significant mention in the article. And also please tell how to upload the news articles which are not available online. Alekh99 (talk) 14:32, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

Herbal cure for Type II diabetes granted patent TODAY'S PAPER NATIONAL
NATIONAL Herbal cure for Type II diabetes granted patent
JANUARY 20, 2008 00:00 IST UPDATED: OCTOBER 08, 2016 21:02 IST Special Correspondent
Jaipur man develops medicine from Kadamb tree
JAIPUR: A medicinal composition for the cure of diabetes, prepared from the extracts of the commonly found Kadamb tree (Mitragyna parvifolia) leaves, has been granted patent by the Controller-General of Patents, India. The composition, containing cadambine and dihydroconchonine, two types of alkaloids found in the tree, has also received an international classification number from the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
The inventor of the medicine, Suresh Sharma of Jaipur, says it took him over 20 years and bankruptcy to develop the medicine which has successfully been tried on 1,300 patients suffering from Type II diabetes.
When taken for a period ranging from 4-10 months, one of the quninoline alkaloids in the medicine, cadambine, removed insensitivity of insulin receptors situated in adipose tissues of the muscles while the other, dihydrocinchonine, regulated the production of endogenous insulin, he said.
“The existing medicines used in the treatment of diabetes aggravated the condition of the patients by causing a flare up in this genetic disorder,” Mr.Sharma said. “This medicine works without any side effects and provides total cure in a period of 4-10 months,” he added.
According to Mr. Sharma, he could successfully treat 1,300 Type II patients so far by administering them capsules of 5 mg each for less than a year. The frequency of administration of the drug varied on the patient’s condition. In the case of new patients it is generally one tablet a month while with chronic patients it is once a week.
There is no dietary restriction during the period of treatment is except for consumption of direct sugar and sugar derivatives. The commercial production of the medicine is yet to start.
Kadamb is considered a sacred tree and worshiped by Hindus in North India. The tree, associated with the Lord Krishna legend, is found in large numbers in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan and in the adjoining Mathura and Agra districts of Uttar Pradesh.
“The tree is widespread and there would not be any dearth of the raw material for the medicine,” said Mr. Sharma, who filed a petition in the Rajasthan High Court in 2003 against cutting of Kadamb trees. Alekh99 (talk) 17:57, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
Second article in The Hindu year 2012 is below:
NEW DELHI An extraordinary diabetes drug confined to papers
Sunny Sebastian JAIPUR:, JULY 23, 2012 00:00 IST UPDATED: JULY 23, 2012 05:01 IST A herbal composition which would have provided relief to millions of people affected by Type II diabetes remains confined to papers left behind by its late inventor. Patented back in September 2006, the herbal medicine derived from kadamb leaves may not be available for patients for a long time to come as the family is left with no funds for pre-clinical trials after years of experimentation with the medicine.
The dream of Suresh Sharma of Jaipur who invented the formula for diabetes cure from Cadambine and dihydrocinchnine alkaloids derived from kadamb leaves after toiling for 15 long years was to make it available for the common man at a reasonable price. After his sudden death in 2008, his children have been moving from pillar to post trying to catch the attention of the authorities and the pharmaceutical industry on the medicinal composition, but in vain.
During his lifetime Mr. Sharma, who was termed a maverick by his family and society, had tested the medicine on over 1,000 patients besides himself. The results were positive and there were no side-effects. In the case of chronic diabetic patients one tablet a week for 4-10 months had brought about the result while in beginners medication was required only once a month.
The late inventor, explaining the working of the herbal formula to The Hindu soon after he got patent (Patent No.197279) and international classification (A 61 K 35/78) from WTO, had said that the alkaloids from the kadamb leaves removed the insensitivity from insulin receptors in the human body and regulated production of insulin.
Mr. Sharma was no scientist but a person possessed by a desire to achieve a goal. In the process, he went bankrupt, had to sell his house and became almost the laughing stock of society. This was till he gained a patent from the Controller-General of Patents, India. But his demise left the dream incomplete.
While struggling to establish the medicine, Mr. Sharma even fought about the protection of kadamb (Mitragyna parvifolia), a tree associated with the Krishna legends which finds ample mention in “Soordasa” in Garg Samhita. In 2004 he filed a writ in the High Court to stop cutting of the tree, found in abundance in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur and adjoining areas in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra, Mathura and Vridnavan.
The anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory qualities of the tree have been known for centuries but a medicine from them for diabetes was a breakthrough.
“This appears to be a losing battle. We have no money to carry out expensive pre-clinical trials of the medicine. The industry has not responded to our repeated requests for sponsorship,” says the inventor’s son Alekh Sharma. He has left his job in Merchant Navy to carry on with his father’s mission.
“My father had tried it with the then President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam as well. When the President visited Jaipur in March 2007, my father got an audience with him. Appreciating the work, Dr.Kalam also volunteered to write to various government departments, including Science & Technology and Health & Family Welfare,” Mr. Sharma notes. The family tried with some of the leading business houses in the country and some international pharmaceutical firms as well.
“They asked us to carry out the clinical trials ourselves before they could take up market production,” he says.
Even as the country reports more patients of Type II diabetes every year, an effective medicine for the disease remains without any takers. Alekh99 (talk) 18:02, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

- Leaving a comment here, as I was also contacted about this draft. The medical claims for treating diabetes do not meet WP:MEDRS, which is a high standard for any Wikipedia content about medicine/health topics. Briefly, what is required as references are review articles that summarize the results of multiple published clinical (human) trials. The results mentioned in those articles in The Hindu and the awarding of a patent in India do not qualify as accepted citations. In my opinion, Mr. Sharma does not meet Wikipedia's concept of notability. Furthermore, the draft, written by his son, appears to be an attempt to publicize the family's continued interest in seeing Mr. Sharma's diabetes treatment concept brought to market. David notMD (talk) 15:07, 29 March 2020 (UTC)
Theroadislong And https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:David_notMD, i want to clear that i have created suresh sharma page as an Indian environmentalist. I have mention only his efforts of protecting kadam tree in rajasthan for which he filed a writ in Rajasthan High Court . You can check the page i have not mentioned anywhere about diabetes treatment .i have message to david notMD the same thing but my message is not appearing on his talk page . These two The Hindu article has a significant mention of suresh sharma efforts of protecting kadam tree. So please read my created page again it is for Indian environmentalist not as for any treatment or medicine or patent Alekh99 (talk) 16:19, 29 March 2020 (UTC)
Article rejection
Hi I have resubmitted an article for musician Lee Fardon which has been rejected twice because apparently there are not enough citations. This I do not understand as I have made over 30 with numbered footnotes. Could you please elaborate on exactly what is wrong. Lee Fardon article resubmission
Hi there I have a note from you re my resubmission for an article about the singer/songwriter, Lee Fardon which suggest he does not meet the criteria for notable artist. I am mystified by this as I've looked at the criteria and he certainly does meet many given. I have looked at many other articles on musicians, including some who have not had the success or acclaim he has, including some who have played in his band but have managed to get Wiki entries. There are several wiki entries that make reference to Lee Fardon. Surely this in itself would suggest that he has sufficient status as an artist to be included. Please advise. thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fencedown (talk • contribs) 15:17, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
- Re:Draft:Lee Fardon Your sourcing is VERY poor, Discogs, YouTube and Allmusic, Allstudios are not reliable sources. You clearly haven’t read WP:REFB either as the sources are incorrectly formatted, which criteria do you think they meet? Theroadislong (talk) 15:23, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
Beyond Better Foods - removed linked and published - what now?
Thanks for the help! I believe I've removed any hyper links and just put the section down below on the bottom of the page. How do I remove the "remove hyperlink" advice part?
Let me know if there's anything else that needs to happen. Thanks for the help!

- (talk page stalker) @Alekh99: As already pointed out on your user talk page, it is not necessary to sign in to read those articles. People from outside of India may not be able to sign in to The Hindu website, but they don't need to do so. I have looked at all the sources that are available and agree with the reviewers – these sources do not support the individual's notability, the way Wikipedia defines notability. --bonadea contributions talk 09:42, 31 March 2020 (UTC)

There should be a way to make these offline article available to reviewers Alekh99 (talk) 09:48, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
- To be blunt, nothing in the draft you wrote indicates that the individual is notable. I understand that this is your father and I do not indend any lack of respect – it is simply a fact that a very, very, very small proportion of individuals are notable according to Wikipedia's definition. If you wish to write about your late father, you should find a different place to do so. (Also because it is always a bad idea for anyone to write about their family members in Wikipedia. If Queen Elizabeth II were to register an account here, she would be strongly dissuaded from editing the article about her father.) The scans of articles that you uploaded to the draft article's talk page do not change this, from my perspective. --bonadea contributions talk 10:27, 31 March 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for your comments. I have tried to make the text more neutral so hopefully this reads more accordingly to the standards. As for the references I have added more of them; I have seen other pages with similar types of references (primary) and they were published. Is there a way to know that the references are suitable? Is there a list or website where we can enter them to validate them? I have avoided Goodreads and IMDb and blogs. Isaucier (talk) 22:35, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
Well... that was abrupt and unexpected. I am surely not getting paid in any way to write this article and was shocked to see the mention added. As this is my first article, I will admit that I'm learning and the experience so far is quite rebarbative and the editing process is not what I expected at all. How can I remove this article as I will not work on it again. Thanks. Isaucier (talk) 12:40, 1 April 2020 (UTC)

Hello, I am Slug's daughter, Susie Signorino. My father asked me to add his client list to his wiki page, and a photograph of him with his granddaughter. The client information is from an old advertising mailing that he used to send out.
Is there a way to make his wikipage editable by me without having to be checked?
Thank you, Susie Signorino — Preceding unsigned comment added by Susan Signorino (talk • contribs) 17:21, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
- That doesn't sound like it would be suitable for Wikipedia, we only report on what independent reliable sources say about a subject, the client list is a primary source and of no interest. If you took the photo yourself then you could upload it Wikipedia Commons, but it would be preferable to have one without a granddaughter, for privacy concerns. As you have a conflict of interest you can make suggestions on the talk page of his article for others to consider, but it's advisable not to edit the article directly. Draft:Emily Tyra
Thank you for comments.
I will look at them and decide what changes need to be made to address your concerns.
I don't know who attached the comment about this being edited or created in return for undisclosed payments but frankly I'm shocked - and a bit flattered - to have such an assertion leveled at my first article for Wikipedia. A long-time user (and a financial contributor, I might add) to Wikipedia, I'm certainly not getting paid to create/edit this article. And no, as a MIT-trained engineer (note the automotive-related nom de plume), I've never made a living by writing. The errors thus far noted so far are par for a beginner learning how to use this tool, who also never learned how to spell or write until graduate school.
I'll figure out how to address and neutralize this completely unfounded concern later, if required.
Again, thanks for your comments. Back shortly with edits.

Draft of Anthony Martinez
Hello, I´m reaching to you today into regards of the draft I submitted earlier today. To add on , reason in which I wanted to contact you was to ask if you would be so kind and give me some pointers or guidance to be able to publish my page. Hello
Hello, I saw you recently deleted a page I wrote about a famous entrepreneur in Kosovo & that did represent the country of Kosovo in very big worldwide festivals for the stuff he does such as Business & Implementing new stuff in the Balkans region. He was also a fashion model who did represent the country of Kosovo in very big places in the world. I think he needs a Wikipedia page since a lot of people ask him a lot on social media for more info and there isn't a page like Wikipedia that was written for him.
I did spend the last one month doing researches from him calling his manager, reading about him, watching interviews and getting as much information to make this Wikipedia page for him. Note: This is not a paid or anything like that to publish this page. I just saw the need the people had to know for him and I took my privilege as a writer to write a page about him.
If there is something that I need to change regardly the page I would love to take my time and do it.

Sci Phi Journal
Hi there! I'm another AfC reviewer and I declined Draft:Sci Phi Journal recently, but then began a dialogue with the editor who made the draft on their talk page, User talk:M2wiki. The user followed my advice and added mention of a Hugo and Logo award nomination, the former of which is a particularly big deal in the world of sci-fi. I'm wondering what your thoughts were when you later declined the article—do you think it's close to showing notability? Or is there a bigger problem? — Bilorv (talk) 12:15, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
- I declined basically because there are no independent reliable sources unconnected to the magazine, the nomination in itself isn't really enough to establish notability. Happy to be persuaded though. Theroadislong (talk) 12:38, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
jdodkins on Ralf Schmitt
Hello Theroadislong,
Thank you for the comment, can you expand a little for me please:
Is a facebook external link not allowed anywhere, not allowed in the Reflist section, or could it be used as a simple external link?
Thank you
Jdodkins (talk) 12:24, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
- It can be used as an external link if that is the only web presence the person has, but it has no use in establishing any notability. Theroadislong (talk) 12:41, 5 April 2020 (UTC)

Notability-failed citation issue Sagon Penn
Hi Theroadislong,
Incase you missed my response to your noatbility issue please see below. Feel free to respond here or head over to the Sago Penn talk page. Thanks
Response to Sulfurboy,
Gap in explanation closed. Misconduct in this case has already long been been established with the acquittals some 35 years ago. How do you think he got acquitted after killing the officer? It has already been established that Penn was beaten by officer Riggs.
Whomever is claiming failed verification in the article needs to read the following oh so reliable sources below lets see if this source gets mysteriously deleted. I doubt it.
http://www.sdpolicemuseum.com/Sagon-Penn.html
Here is the quote verbatim
″Penn's two trials focused attention on the uneasy relationship between San Diego police and minority residents. To cool the tensions, the City Council appointed a citizens advisory task force on police community relations. From the task force, and a series of eight public forums held throughout the city, came a recommendation for the city's first citizens police review board″″″. Still not convinced? Please remove the failed citation I will wait......Spiritletters (talk) 21:51, 7 April 2020 (UTC) Respectfully submitted Spiritletters (talk) 22:23, 7 April 2020 (UTC)

Hi, I have greatly improved the article Draft:Amit Bhadana (youtuber). Please review Mr Tejal (talk) 08:39, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
- Sorry I have rejected the article per another users comment "Fails the requirements of WP:ANYBIO / WP:ENT. The Dadasaheb Phalke Award is for an individual's "outstanding contribution to the growth and development of Indian cinema". This award was not granted to Bhadana. The article on the awards states: Several other awards and film festivals have been named after Dadasaheb Phalke, sometimes leading to confusion. The award granted to Bhadana is not a notable award and certainly not the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award". Theroadislong (talk) 08:59, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
- I did not know this myself. So when I came to know that Amit Bhadana has not received this award, I removed that information from this article. After that I made a lot of change in the article, you might not have seen that change and removed the article directly. I felt bad that despite deleting the source of the award, you deleted the article. I request you to bring that article back to Wikipedia.
If you don't do that, I would assume that the reviewers do their own arbitrary. Mr Tejal (talk) 09:45, 8 April 2020 (UTC)

Forcura Page
Hello! You recently rejected my draft for the Forcura page. I am doing this for a school assignment and need to get it published. What changes do I need to make in order to get it published? Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Agwarnock (talk • contribs) 19:48, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
- I'll let Theroadislong answer your question since you addressed them- but your teacher/instructor should be aware that it is an unfair assignment to require students to successfully create a new Wikipedia article as part of a graded assignment. Such efforts usually cause more problems for the project than help it(in terms of the teacher, not you the student) Are they working with the Wikipedia Education Program? 331dot (talk) 19:54, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
- I also agree that it is VERY unfair to be set this assignment. Wikipedia is only interested in what people who have no connection with the company have chosen to publish about them. The article should be limited to a summary of what such independent reliable sources have said about them. You have used the company website for all your sources apart from one, which is also not independent. Find at least three independent reliable sources and base your article on what they say, if you can't find the sources, then the company is not notable in Wikipedia terms. Theroadislong (talk) 20:02, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
- What sources are considered "independent"? Sorry I'm new at this and it's probably a stupid question but I am willing to make edits! Agwarnock (talk) 20:19, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
- Please read Wikipedia:Identifying and using independent sources creating a new article is the hardest task on Wikipedia and certainly not a suitable student project, unless there has been at least some tutoring on methods beforehand. Theroadislong (talk) 20:33, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
- If I were to delete the section of "Notable Awards and Recognition" and replace it with a list of employees could I get my article reconsidered for publication? Agwarnock (talk) 20:51, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
- I would be willing to communicate on-wiki with your teacher/instructor as to why making you do what you are doing is completely unfair to you. Feel free to direct your teacher/instructor to me. 331dot (talk) 20:58, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
- Please read Help:Your first article it won't be reconsidered until it has reliable independent sources and doesn't read like an advert, creating an article via the WP:AFC process can take up to 4 months so it is unrealistic to set as an assignment. Theroadislong (talk) 21:13, 8 April 2020 (UTC)

You mentioned that my Draft:JNIOR article is unsourced. While I try to understand. I am not sure that there is any source leading to the existence of this product. Jamie Kai -
Hi Theroadislong!
I have reviewed the Wikipedia musician requirements you left there for me to review, I hit the nail on the head with the first requirement! Musicians or ensembles (this category includes bands, singers, rappers, orchestras, DJs, musical theatre groups, instrumentalists, etc.) may be notable if they meet at least one of the following criteria.
Has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable, not self-published, and are independent of the musician or ensemble itself. - I have cited all of those sources, and can tag on many more, they are in German, since my TV apprentice was in Germany. Is the problem lying within the fact that they are incorrectly sourced? Please help! :(

- The English Wikipedia has stricter guidelines on accepting articles. Your draft uses IMDb which is not a reliable source, Good Company Pictures is a primary source, not secondary as required, the filmography contains no notable films, ie. they don’t have articles and the awards do not appear to be notable either. Hi,
I'm Marcy Winograd. Thank you for reviewing my draft "Puppets Against AIDS" and for responding promptly. I would appreciate it if you would further clarify, with quotes from specific sentences that you consider inappropriate, why you have rejected the article and explain explicitly (with a link) to how I can appeal your rejection as I wrote in the required neutral tone, included criticism of the project under "Evaluation", included multiple source citations (and not just to the creators' web site but also to NCBI abstracts, the World Encyclopedia of Puppetry, New Scientist and the Kenya Institute of Puppet Theater), external links to other Wikipedia articles that related to the topic. You mentioned in the rejection that the article reads more like an advertisement. To be clear, I posted evaluations of the program that included criticism, e.g, "Effectiveness and Evaluation" "Evaluators concluded, however, that Puppets Against AIDS could be even more effective if it were "incorporated into existing community-based education programmes on HIV infection." (citation) also "Although the researchers noted a need for sciprt changes to both improve the portrayal of women and to better address modern misconceptions about HIV/AIDS ... (citation) To further clarify, I wrote this article entry after reading on Wikipedia a list of requested articles. I had never heard of Puppets Against AIDS, nor had any relationship with the creator. I only contacted him recently to see if he had any photos to which he would grant a right to publish in the public domain on Wikimedia and Wikipedia. I believe this rejection is unfair and unwarranted and I would like to appeal it. Please send me a link to where I appeal and/or reconsider the rejection while providing very specific feedback on which sentences are not in accordance with Wikipedia guidelines. I spent many days/hours researching this program as a volunteer writer and am, frankly, shocked that the entry was rejected.Marcywinograd (talk) 17:44, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
- You can start by removing the in line external links as requested, we don't use them. Content should be based on what independent sources have reported, so all content that isn't sourced should be removed or correctly sourced and the tone should be encyclopaedic and neutral. Theroadislong (talk) 18:13, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
Wondering Why My Wiki Profile Was Rejected?
Hello Theroadislong,
I am acutely interested in the specific reason the article i sent into review was rejected.
If you could inform me with a couple reasons why it was rejected or criteria to follow next time I submit, it would help a ton!
Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rrnagy44 (talk • contribs) 18:17, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
- Wikipedia doesn't host profiles? I'm afraid that, like many others, you have misunderstood what Wikipedia is about. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that summarizes what independent sources say about a subject. You would need to provide detailed references showing that you have received significant coverage, in reliable sources that are independent of you. Theroadislong (talk) 18:21, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
Resurrecting Lives Foundation
Hello- I just read your comments about sources. I was not aware that I need to put them directly with each fact I am stating. I am happy to do so. As a point of clarification- the news sources and medical literature I am using to cite- are those acceptable sources? I read the FAQ and it appears they are however since my article has been declined twice, I am not sure.
Also- the other editing issues for Taylor Bennett- linked to this IP address are not my doing. I am using a shared IP and Mr. Bennett lives in my building.
Thanks for your time. 104.244.240.65 (talk) 18:24, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
