Hi Theroadislong:
I understand from your "User Page" that this topic is maybe not so close to you, but I really appreciate your support.
Please, https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Draft:Hermann_Hess_Helfenstein was a well-known "Naturalist, Explorer and Climber" in Europe (Switzerland) and Southamerika (Argentina and Chile) with a lot of references in Books, Interviews and Reports some of them appear in the Bioghraphy:
1. Potthoff, José Miguel. Volcan Puntiagudo. Chile: Andes Handbook, 2007. https://www.andeshandbook.org/montanismo/cerro/311/Puntiagudo 2. Hess, Hermann. I'm basically inspired by the German/Chilean Climber Wolfgang Förster who already is published on Wikipedia ( https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolfgang_F%C3%B6rster )
Thanks for understanding.

- The content of my user page is totally irrelevant, your draft needs to be written in a neutral tone. Theroadislong (talk) 20:16, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
- You ignored my comment about needing to write in a neutral tone, resubmitted and it was instantly declined for non neutral tone by another editor... what did you expect??? Theroadislong (talk) 21:06, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
Hi Theroadislong:
I am glad to inform, that all your observations are now incorporated in the short Biography Draft:Hermann_Hess_Helfenstein
Please, I will appreciate if you could delete the tags containing your declination.
Thanks for understanding and helping.

hello ... I've updated the pages, and am submitting to the live crew for review. still unsure of how to save my draft without publishing. I've left the section several times, and my changes are not recorded. any suggestions are appreciated. --Dicedog (talk) 23:25, 11 April 2020 (UTC)

Decline
Hi The Road is Long,
Thanks reviewing so promptly my draft. I will try to fix the issues you pointed at. I'm having a little concern though, as it seems that I can only keep working on my draft in Edit source mode. Is that normal? It seems that I can't even do any further contribution to other pages.
Could you let me know how to make sure that I am able to keep working and contributing. I much agree with your The Road is Long.≈

New page for Joellen Louise Russell - written by co2don
Hi, My page was rejected because I didn't have enough inline citations. I have added these, but do not know how to resubmit my page - when I click on the "Resubmit" button, the page it tries to resubmit is the instructions page. Please help. Cheers and thanks, co2don — Preceding unsigned comment added by Co2don (talk • contribs) 18:01, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
- I'm not sure why you would have a problem re-submitting? Your draft was not "rejected" it was declined, it still needs more sources, but it's getting there. Theroadislong (talk) 18:22, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
Revert
Hi again, Just reading the reasoning behind undoing what I wrote about ACTED. 1_ I added a verified information/fact 2_ I sourced that fact to the media that published it. 3_ That was no promotion, nor publicity. It was about accuracy, and it was correctly sourced.
What was wrong with that?
Thanks for elaborating your opinion on this. It will help me understand the policy you are referring to.
NonProfit YS (talk) 15:00, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
- Your user name seems to indicate some connection to the link you added but regardless, Wikipedia requires secondary sources not primary ones. Theroadislong (talk) 15:17, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
I wonder what's the point of your comment about my user name? Is this supposed to be helpful in some way? Sourcing a media website that is a reliable source is not inappropriate according to Wikipedia's policy. To the contrary. Can you elaborate your view? Thanks NonProfit YS (talk) 15:33, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
- The content was already sourced to [1] so adding a link to the organisation's own website was not required, the same organisation that you are writing a draft about hence I wondered if you had some connection to that organisation, in which case you would have a conflict of interest. Theroadislong (talk) 15:54, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for explaining things as regards the link. Got that. When someone is well acquainted with a topic, does that mean that there is going to be au automatic conflict of interest? I appreciate the fact that I have been living in Geneva for some years and got to meet and learn a lot about IOs, NGOs, and INGOs. Isn't that a positive point for W? I'm trying to play by Wikipedia rulebook, with neutral tone, balanced presentation and proper sourcing. Hope to make progress. Thanks again.NonProfit YS (talk) 18:23, 13 April 2020 (UTC)

Good morning, I hope you are well.
I wanted to clarify the specific issue you had with the changes made?
And ask why you removed the shareholders, board of directors and management team sections, which do not provide any promotional material?
Many thanks.
I would be happy to share with you a draft of the changes made for your comment.
- We don’t usually list management teams or boards of directors, this is an encyclopaedia not your corporation’s website. Theroadislong (talk) 10:00, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for your quick reply and your note on the process. I will submit my request for changes to be made. It was a request made to include the management team and board of directors to provide a full understanding of the Corporations, is there a way that this can be included?
thanks again

Draft: NGO Advisor
Hi,
Thanks very much for the detailed comments.I understand. Some of the information you are referring to cannot be sourced as they are, for some of them, direct taken out of direct testimony by NGOs that filled in the form and questionnaire to be reviewed by NGO Advisor. As regards, the "fresh and critic view" this is from the introductory remarks written in the Global Journal. I can source it there. I do not have alternative source for this though. Not sure what to do? Possibly the best would be to delete these informations, and see if other editors can bring more sources to the page.
ThanksNonProfit YS (talk) 14:31, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- That would NOT be appropriate content and you should address any conflict of interest. Theroadislong (talk) 14:53, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
Thanks; I will delete the information as you consider that it is not appropriate to source the Global Journal. As regards, the conflict of interest, I am not sure to understand your assumption: do you question my position and interest because I completed my Master degree in Marketing and Communications in 2019 at the University of Geneva and that I happen to meet people of the nonprofit sector. Should I consider this to be a conflict of interest? If anything else, could you clarify? Thanks NonProfit YS (talk) 15:13, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- I questioned whether you had a conflict of interest because you seem to be using a primary source here "taken out of direct testimony by NGOs that filled in the form and questionnaire to be reviewed by NGO Advisor". Theroadislong (talk) 15:18, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for answering. My point is that being able to build on testimony doesn't equate to a conflict of interest. I have been looking at the new feedback by another editor. Thanks to him. I tried to stay focus and to improve the page. I begin to understand the difference between a more journalistic tone and a wiki tone. I will certainly benefit from more positive advise though, as I'm not a communication agency nor selling anything here, which seems to be a concern to many editors on Wikipedia (sorry but I'm not familiar with that). I felt that I could contribute here because of my expertise and I am happy to learn about how to best contribute, not having to face understatements that somehow sounds odd to me. Thanks again. Draft:Chief_Pat
Hi Theroadislong! Thanks for the feedback on the Draft:Chief_Pat page.
You noted that you had denied approval because YouTube was referenced for 7 of the 15 sources, however a majority of the YouTube citations were related to channel statistics/milestones that were rather obvious and perhaps not needing sourcing (1, 2, 5, and 6). Would it be better to remove those 4 references?
Otherwise, are the 8 other sources sufficient? There are other snippets that could be added with more colorful commentary, i.e. "Few individuals around the world are as synonymous within the mobile gaming scene as Chief Pat is" from https://www.invenglobal.com/articles/8269/igec-panel-highlight-mobile-esports-the-worlds-largest-niche-community, but I opted to keep things more clear-cut. I'd love to hear your feedback.
Here are some articles I'm using as reference for either gaming YouTubers, or esports organization founders/CEOs: Andy Dinh, OMGitsfirefoxx, Hafu_(video_game_player), Trump_(video_game_player)
Dave Taranto
On 14th December I let the community know that I am writing an article on a producer, radio announcer and promoter David Taranto. It was rejected on the grounds that it wasn't relevant enough.
I believe I didn't provide enough information about the subject, or gave misleading info on my intentions, which might have made it appear that the article might be a bit amateurish. I hope I didn't mislead. I must stress that an article on David Taranto would provide crucial historical information on the Australian comedy industry.
I should explain. In the Melbourne comedy industry in the 1990s, David - Dave - Taranto showcased many Australian comedians who became international acts such as The Doug Anthony Allstars and Lano and Woodley, who received the Edinburgh Fringe's Perrier Award. The BBC subsequently produced a TV series starring Lano and Woodley. He promoted and broadcast many other successful comedy acts in the 1990s. Dave's untimely death in 1999 put an end to his short career. But a number of producers and myself feel that that specific era in Australian comedy is missing from the industry's history. I would like to create an article to provide the public with details of his career and activities. There are a number of other colleagues who will contribute information and edit facts.
To help you get a clearer picture, I am a performer, comedy writer, dramatic actor and playwright. In constructing a Wikipedia article I am committed to providing a professional product.
I have provided information taken from Melbourne newspaper The Age' Bold text for your information.
I hope this allays any concerns you have regarding the importance of the article. I will proceed very slowly in slowly gathering verifiable facts and consult with other professionals amongst the comedy contributors. If you want further information about me, I have an IMDb page. There are also a number of articles about me online.
Thank you for your feedback, Theroadislong. Much appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards
Frederick - Fred - Rowan.

The Five Foundation page
Hi there,
Just after The Five Foundation page was finally accepted I see it was deleted for 'paid editing' I was not paid to edit though so how can this be restored? I note the discussion above too which says that the references are op-eds from the co-founder - this is only a couple of the references, which are also valid - the majority of them are independent high quality media which were not written by the co-founder - such as the Evening Standard article and Reuters article which discuss the importance of The Five Foundation.
Kind regards Brendanwynne (talk) 09:40, 16 April 2020 (UTC)
- The Five Foundation was founded by Nimco Ali and Brendan Wynne, so you are definitely deemed a paid editor and you clearly have a conflict of interest, you need to declare this on your user page. Theroadislong (talk) 10:06, 16 April 2020 (UTC)
My name is my username so I'm clearly not hiding any conflict - I have added a note on my userpage now as requested. How do we get the page restored? The text above about references being op-eds is not accurate - there is a lot of independent media too. The Five Foundation is a recognised leading charity on this issue. I have also double checked what 'Paid Editing' means for Wikipedia and it is not applicable to me. This is not my employer - it is a charitable organisation. Thanks Brendanwynne (talk) 11:33, 16 April 2020 (UTC)

Second, it says in the comment that the page has too many citations - last time it was declined for not having enough citations?

The Five Foundation
Hi, I wanted to learn why you have accepted to publish a page "The Five Foundation" that doesn't meet the standards you've referred to in order to decline an another draft page. The Five Foundation references are op-eds by the founder and supporter of the Five Foundation in different mainstream media. You seem to believe that these references are sufficient to value the notability of the organisation described (The Five Foundation). This seems to be contradicting the rules you are claiming to apply to reject other pages. Why the same rules do not apply in the same way? References should be independent : If anyone checks the references provided by the author of the Five Foundation page, they are fully dependent to the organisation that is being described in the page (because they are written by the founder of this organisation). So can you explain how you apply rules in two separate and conflicting ways? Thanks.
- Reuters, Evening Standard. The Guardian, The Telegraph, Vogue, CNN and The Times are all considered reliable independent sources, if you are concerned that The Five Foundation is not notable you are free to take it to articles for deletion, the main consideration when accepting articles from WP:AFC is whether they would survive at WP:AFD. Theroadislong (talk) 07:18, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
- There can be no confusion between the fact that The Guardian and other news outlet are supposed to reliable independent sources AND the fact that these news outlets provide columns to external contributors. These external contributions CANNOT be considered independent to a given page as a reliable reference to the author of such external contributions in "reliable independent sources". Please advice. The last part of your comment is more of an understatement than a simple information. Could you clarify? Thanks NonProfit YS (talk) 07:35, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
Hi again,
- I don't think that it is appropriate to request for deletion. I think that you should revert your decision to move this Draft: FIVE FOUNDATION page back to Draft: Five Foundation. Please advice. THanks.
NonProfit YS (talk) 07:44, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
- Please see WP:AFCPURPOSE. The purpose of reviewing is to identify which submissions will be deleted and which won't. Articles that will probably survive a listing at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion should be accepted. Articles that will probably not survive should be declined. There is no point in returning it to draft as I consider that it would easily survive an WP:AFD. Theroadislong (talk) 08:12, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
The vast majority of the media articles linked in references that are not opeds but rather independent media articles from high quality media, which discuss The Five Foundation. How can the page be reinstated? Thanks, Brendanwynne (talk) 11:29, 17 April 2020 (UTC)

Hi,
I have tried to make a sufficient article of Lautapelit.fi and failed.
I do not wish to cause too much work on this for anyone else, but I do not know how to do this correctly. We are a small Finnish company with little US presence, so getting english links, references and pages to add to this has proven difficult, at least for me.
I tried to look other game publishers Wikipage pages as a model/template (Bezier Games and CMON limited).
I am now stuck in this and do not know how to proceed and go forward. I might try to add more text on games that are translated to Nordic languages, but if I do that, I most likely can't add links to pages (for example official Finnish board game of the year -winners from https://suomenleluyhdistys.fi/category/vuoden-peli/ ) because those are all in Finnish. I can add those but I am not sure that it is ok with the moderators of Wikipedia.
So if anyone has clear advice how to proceed, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Tuomo Pekkanen
ps. I am not sure if it is clear that I work for the company and have been told by my boss, the owner, to make an english entry to wikipedia. I have already done the Finnish version but this english version has proven to be too difficult for me, I haven't done that much work on Wikipedia before...
Zztap78 (talk) 15:56, 17 April 2020 (UTC)
- Firstly you will need to declare your conflict of interest as a paid editor. For companies to have Wikipedia articles, there must be significant in-depth coverage of them in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, you don't have these yet. Creating an article on Wikipedia for your own company is one of the most difficult tasks there is here, so difficult that I suggest that you tell your boss that it is not possible. Draft Article - Hilal Al Sabti
Dear Theroadislong,
Thank you for giving me feedback two weeks ago on my first draft article. I resubmitted the Biography and have added significant references and footnotes. Today, I received a message that it is subject for deletion despite the references provided. May I know how can I rewrite and improve further the Biography/Article please. I have taken the advise of other reviewers and edited the article in order to conform it with your policies and guidelines. Even if it may end up having only few details remaining as long as it gets accepted, would be great. I would very much appreciate an advice from you on how can I improve and have this submission be accepted in Wikipedia.
Thank you.
Regards, Suzette
- You can contest the deletion by clicking on the blue box in the speedy notice, but you do need to find more in-depth coverage of him in independent sources and not just passing mentions, I'm not seeing anything at the moment. Theroadislong (talk) 10:02, 18 April 2020 (UTC)

Hi ! I was just wondering why my Wikipedia page about Khouri St.Surin was declined. Khouri is a professional actor and I have done my research on him .
Thank you !
- There is no evidence that you have done any research though? I think you may have misunderstood how Wikipedia works. Wikipedia only has articles about notable topics that have been reported on in depth by multiple, independent reliable sources. Your draft has no sources so doesn't establish any notabilty. Draft:Rose Dodd wikipedia page
Apologies for the belated reply, but you've indicated I need to complete a COI for the Rose Dodd page to go forwards. Can you please let me know how precisely I do this. I am very new to wikipedia and honestly find it very confusing.
My connection to Rose Dodd is that I was a contributing chapter author for her book on Christopher Fox. She and her publisher in Holland thought I would be a good person to write as I am also a composer/academic. I also set one of her poems to music back in 1996.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Theroadislong, You recently reviewed https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Draft:Skyline_Communications. This draft was declined, as several times before. Your decline cited two reasons: firstly, it was written as an advertisement, and secondly, a lack of notability.
I've adjusted the draft many times, and have not had the first comment since two submissions ago. Therefore, I can only conclude that it has something to do with my recent addition of the Export Lion award. If that is your reason, I only added that information since it refers to an official national reward, for which I have also added two reliable and independent sources, being the public broadcaster, VRT (Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroeporganisatie). There are also several references from Trends from Knack, which is a Belgian quality magazine, also completely independent of the topic of the draft.
I'm at a loss here as to what more I can do to prove notability. An honest question: do I have a chance at getting approval once I've disclosed I'm somehow linked to Skyline Communications? Because I have looked into several other pages on Wikipedia about companies in the same industry, and some of them barely have any sources, but their creators do not say they're linked to the company or software. Thank you very much in advance for your advice.
- "Today, Skyline Communications remains a family business' and "the company has known a steady yearly growth, going from 120 to approximately 300 employees today' read as promotional to me and the paid editing needs to be disclosed in the proper manner see [[WP:COI]. Writing a Wikipedia article is one of the most difficult tasks here, writing about your own company in a neutral way is doubly difficult and will be subject to intense scrutiny and strongly discouraged. Theroadislong (talk) 16:32, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
Thanks a lot for the specification. I'll rework the article accordingly. I understand that it is being reviewed more critically given the link between subject and creator, but I just wanted to check that it isn't being declined straight away merely because of that. Thanks again and have a nice day! Sophie Merchouk
Hello,
Do you mind taking a look at my Draft: Steven Victor draft article again please ? It was initially rejected by you, however I've updated it with more adequate sources and information, like The New York Times and GQ, which believe can help count for its notability. I also believe that it is well written and organized. Thank you.

I came across Swaroop Solanki, now at Draft, and noticed it had never been through AfC. I removed phony templates off the talk page, wanted to warn the creator and read your template. That explained rather a lot. I wanted to make a remark at the SPI page, but could not find the appropriate entry, so I’m leaving it here. It’s the most blatant example of gaming the system I encountered so far. Kleuske (talk) 12:45, 22 April 2020 (UTC)

Article Review
Hello User: Theroadislong contested in the Hartford Mayoral Election, every major event I cited has been covered by Hartford Courant which is the oldest US newspaper in continuous publication, NBC Connecticut and sometimes Eye Witness News who referreed to him as a children advocacy leader in Hartford, He has been invited to Harvard (which I cited in Hazard Gazette). Futhermore, I think he has authored books available in libraries, on Amazon and on google. He organizes the MLK Gala for Literacy and Learning. He is also an awarde of the 100 men of color award. He has a dedicated biography article in the Manchester Community College page upon reception of the Shirley Chisholm Community Leadership Award which I just added to the article. You may correct me if I am wrong and suggest possible solutions, and you may review the article again as I think he is notable. Thank you. TheEpistle (talk) 14:40, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
- TheEpistle Reference Draft:Aaron D. Lewis. The sheer number of primary sources (his own self published books, Scribe website) and unreliable sources (Vimeo) have maybe clouded my opinion see WP:BOMBARD. The education section has no sources, running for mayor is not inherently notable and the humanitarianism section seems to be off topic. Feel free to re-submit and I'll let another reviewer take a look. Theroadislong (talk) 15:26, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
Theroadislong (talk) I think you are very correct, that is an honest opinion that I oblige to, I would look to 'de-bombard' the article. Many thanks!

98 Buck Social
Hey there! In terms of notability. 98 Buck Social was just featured in the Wall Street Journal, and has been featured by some large tech companies like WordStream and Cloud Campaign.

Ed Kramer wikipedia page
Hi there! Thank you for reviewing the Ed Kramer (CG artist) page I'm working on. I appreciate the feedback. One of your questions asked how I know about his early life. I interviewed him for a story in Duke Magazine years ago. We remained in contact, and in subsequent years I learned about it. So this information is directly from him. Not sure how to source that? I have other questions but we can start with that one for now if you're able to help. Thanks! SLParker (talk) 20:12, 23 April 2020 (UTC)

About your note on COI
Hey there, long time user and donor to wiki. First time editor. I wanted to report on some of the activities from public corporations that were against the spirit of the CARES Act. There are several other offenders reported out there and I wanted to get to each of them. Apologies if my tone or language did not meet the standards of wikipedia, but it doesnt change the fact that some of these corporations are openly abusing the act without any concern for their fellow countrymen, the same ones who pay the taxes paying for all this debt. The same ones, like me, who donate to this platform. I will redo the changes I did this morning, because you cant change facts. Feel free to edit it, as long as facts relevant to the matter are not lost. Feel free to undo it, and prove to me that wiki is not free media, but just another corporate mouthpiece, masquerading as free media. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PPPTracker (talk • contribs) 16:41, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

unverified edits
hi there, apologies for making unreferenced edits to entries. It is in a bid to rectify inaccuracies and misinformation - will be more mindful in the future, and read up on rules and guidelines. (1) I am not paid by anyone to edit entries on wikipedia! (2) I had not understood that facts in an entry need to be backed up by a range of sources. (3) the facts are correct about george elton mayo and the george pitt rivers photo of him which is in the elton mayo archive at harvard business school, it is possible the widow of julian pitt rivers would know about the copyright (4) the author of Queens brought writers like thomas bernhard and juan goytisolo to english language readers however this needs verification I now realise. Request on 13:14:03, 26 April 2020 for assistance on AfC submission by Purple Rain Magic
Hello, I'm trying to have the validation on this article https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Draft:The_Clamps
But it seems it's not suitable for wikipedia "(This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia."
So basically, as 95% of artist articles on wikipedia. (Could someone explain me as this https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Jade_(producer) or this https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Future_Prophecies are validated and not that one)
Could someone help me to fill out correctly please.
Best regards
Purple Rain Magic (talk) 13:14, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
- Please see other poor articles exist, just because there are some poor quality articles out there doesn't mean we need more. I have tagged Jade (producer) for lack of notability and sent Future Prophecies to WP:AFD, thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 13:36, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
I added multiple in-depth coverage of them in reliable sources not mere mentions or listings. For example Trax Mag is the biggest media for electronic music in France, YourEDM , one of the biggest in the world, being played on BBC radio 1 several times (it's just possible to found tracklist on theif website to prove it) etc etc...
What kind of source could be more reliable than these about music electronic and even more about Drum & Bass?
Please let me know. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Purple Rain Magic (talk • contribs) 14:02, 26 April 2020 (UTC)

Since you are a reviewer who declined it, you would be the better person to assist in this regard. Please help!

Hello Theroadislong
Thanks for your helpful comments on the Edith Farmiloe 'stub'. I did some work on this artist's life a year or so ago and received what seemed like a rejection. Speedy deletion declined: User:Mro(Mru) people
Hello Theroadislong. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of User:Mro(Mru) people, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: This would appear to be a draft article, judging by the layout and pictures etc. I can't read it, but it seems like it's in line with WP goals. Draft:Trang T. Lê reliable sources questions
Hi Theroadislong, thank you for reading my submission. I was wondering if you can review my list of (4) sources to see if they are “reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject”. I would like to clarify that these would be accepted before resubmitting my draft.
thank you again for your time

Theroadislong, Thank you for the clarification! Can you please review the modified draft of Draft:Trang T. Lê before I officially resubmit it? Thank you for your quick response.
