Signature
[edit]Your signature on talk and discussion pages needs to include links as described in WP:SIGLINK. --David Biddulph (talk) 15:25, 1 May 2020 (UTC)
- In particular, it seems that you have set a custom signature at Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-personal, about half-way down the page in the box below "Signature:". Please just empty that field and un-check the "Treat the above as wiki markup" checkbox if it is checked. This will reset your signature back to the default, linked one. Thanks. —[AlanM1 (talk)]— 20:18, 2 May 2020 (UTC)

Problem with your custom signature
[edit]You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.
The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.
The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.
- Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
- Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
More information about custom signatures is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. 19:04, 3 September 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Daily Mail
[edit]Hi there. I'm responding to your comment at The Unknown Warrior, "If anyone disagrees they should point out which facts in this table are incorrect".
WP:DAILYMAIL states "There is consensus that the Daily Mail (including its online version, MailOnline) is generally unreliable, and its use as a reference is generally prohibited. […] As a result, the Daily Mail should not […] be used as a source in articles" and per WP:BURDEN "the burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material, and it is satisfied by providing an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports the contribution". So you would need to find a reliable source to support the content you added. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 22:39, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for April 27
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Touching the Void (film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bivouac. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Hello, I'm TJRC. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Buzz Aldrin, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. TJRC (talk) 20:18, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
