Appreciate your cooler head, as I hate simple blanket reversions using a broad generic claim of non-RS. Though when you wrote "practically all" one might be tempted to think that there was perhaps at least one decent RS that was deleted... but again, Thank you. I will try to stick to "battles" with less contension where notability is easier to prove... (chuckle)... like the children's book Piggie Pie. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 23:12, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Re: Topic workshop
I went ahead and proposed a Kashimashi: Girl Meets Girl topic, since I believe it has a fair chance. I will also propose an Ef: A Fairy Tale of the Two. topic (to contain List of Ef: A Tale of Memories. episodes and the as-of-now uncreated List of Ef: A Tale of Melodies. episodes), but only after Melodies. is finished airing, but if we could get Memories. up to FL before that, it'd really help since the main article is already at GA. Actually, I'll just move the current episode list to List of Ef episodes and put both anime into one, along the same lines as List of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha episodes, List of Zero no Tsukaima episodes, List of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni episodes, and List of One episodes.--十八 09:33, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- In regards to your asked support of Collectonian: Would you suggest, then, I move the characterization section to the main article? I see that you recommended possibly splitting it up into the manga and anime sections in the main article, but I believe it would not flow as well if it were not in a single section. Plus, even though Collectonian's suggestion of moving the material into the character descriptions themselves is a sensible one, I also disagree with this action, as if we did that, we'd have to add one more paragraph to Hazumu, and two to Yasuna, and seeing as how you want to lessen their descriptions, I do not believe this would solve anything. I also believe that the characterization differences are important enough to be noted as the whole feel of the anime and manga are very different, and the anime especially took too many liberties (in my opinion) with Yasuna, basically making her seem superficial, especially after they released the OVA. So, I could agree moving the entire characterization section to the main article and placing it under the media section. And bare in mind that I am very close to tackling the in-universe detail. Seeing as how I've seen all the anime and read all the manga, I'm probably a good candidate for the job, and am going to attempt a cut draft of Hazumu's description probably tomorrow. I expect to be able to get all the descriptions down to about the same length as Namiko Tsuki (except for Hazumu's parents which already has less than that) if that'll be sufficient. The only other hurdle then would be the creation and conception, and that will depend on how quickly I am able to translate the information in the fan book which even has stuff from the original character designer Sukune Inugami. And hell, if I were able to do the same thing with Ayu Tsukimiya earlier this year, then it's only a matter of time and how much time I can devote to it.--十八 09:17, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
Naruto video games
Hi Sephiroth, could I use this draft to start cleaning the list of Naruto video games? Thanks.Tintor2 (talk) 21:29, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. By the way I already used the one from Castelvania to make this one.Tintor2 (talk) 23:46, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- Done. Now it will require some refs.Tintor2 (talk) 01:37, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Hey Sephiroth, could you pay a look at this list I have been working? I asked for a peer review some weeks ago but I still did not receive any advice. I wonder how the article should be organized and its length. I know the article needs copyedit (my "wiki-weakpoint"). Also, I have been referencing the Naruto video games list but I couldnt find in any websites the card games and a single. Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 02:41, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. About the character list, I used Characters of Kingdom Hearts as a model since it is also organized in antagonists, protagonists, etc.Tintor2 (talk) 21:11, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi Sephiroth. I know you are busy with the five FL nominations (5 dude! amazing) but could you pay a short look at the prose of Sagara Sanosuke. The article failed in the last GA review due to prose. I have been trying to fixing it and in the last reassessment, user GAS mentioned it was ok. So, could pay a short look at it? Thanks. By the way, did you plan to make all 5 FL nominations at the start? Its amazing^_^.Tintor2 (talk) 23:28, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
Oh dear seven!^_^.Tintor2 (talk) 01:19, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
I think I have bothered Guyinblack25 enough for now, he has just copy-edited the Iori Yagami article that I asked him. At least I would need to know if the prose is okay or still needs work for GAR. Especially considering Fullmetal Alchemist needs a bigger copy-edit than Sanosuke. Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 01:28, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
Already told to collectian and she told me she did not find any issue. Do you think I should nominate it?Tintor2 (talk) 01:36, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Question of Tags
Hey. Ed Fitzgerald has been going through various articles that I guess are in his areas of interest moving the tags from the tops of the article to a section at the bottom called "Tags".[1][2][3]. This seems to be very much against community consensus regarding the placement of tags and the Wikipedia MoS. I undid several such moves and left him a note on his talk page about it at User talk:Ed Fitzgerald#Article Tags. From his answer, however, he feels tags are disruptive and he intends to continue doing what he considered good work to make them less visible as he feels he is doing no harm. This seems kind of pointy to me, and I can't imagine this is an okay thing for him to do, but I'm not sure its necessarily something totally wrong even if I completely disagree with him. Is this something he needs to be encouraged to stop, or is he correct in claiming its harmless and acceptable to ignore the guidelines? -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 07:33, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Hello, you are receiving this message because you voted in the last FAC for this article. Currently, it is undergoing a peer review and I invite you to come view the page and offer any suggestions for improvement here [4]. Over the past three months, the page has been improved with additional scholarly works, trims, two new sections suggested in and attention to concerns raised during the last FAC. Thanks in advance for your time, attention and help to bring this important article to FA. NancyHeise talk 00:00, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Dragon Ball character merges
JJJ999 is causing a stink over the closures of the discussions at Talk:List of Dragon Ball characters#Merge that closed as a merge. He is claiming its "stealthy deletion" and "submarine merging" and claiming its being done out of site to hide it from "real people". Both the Anime and manga project and the DB taskforce were aware of the discussions as were editors to the page. He started a deletion review (*insert eye roll*) over it, then proceeded to canvas at last 10 editors asking them to come help "stop the mass merging". He also keeps removing the notability tag that was added to Master Roshi's article per the comments in the merge discussion questioning it. This is crazy. I feel a closed them all properly (having not participated in most of the discussions beyond starting them for the person who did the tagging), and that I followed all of the appropriate guidelines for weighing the arguments. The tag was added because it seems obvious to me that there are notability concerns if he was in the list of merging. Could you take a look and see if its all kosher? If so, any ideas on dealing with this guy? -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 01:09, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
- I've asked an independent Mod to look at it, one who isn't in a pre-existing relationship with this guy, so you'll have to excuse me for asking you to please recuse yourself.JJJ999 (talk) 01:40, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not the guy who asked, but seeing the DRV discussion--and agreeing with the conclusion there-- I made my own comment at the article talk page, and Collectionian is now challenging what I said, on my talk page. We may need a general discussion of how to close merges.DGG (talk) 18:02, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Coordinator work
Welcome on-board! The topic workshop sounds intriguing. We definitely do not have much in the way of Featured Topics at WP:FILM... the closest I've ventured to it is working on Doomsday and discussing with Bignole about improving Neil Marshall's other films Dog Soldiers and The Descent, too. I will see you on the talk pages; if you want to discuss anything, just leave a message! —Erik (talk • contrib) - 05:02, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
I see that you deleted a short, poorly written article called Romes Begining which duplicated content from Rome . I hate to see articles like that in Wikipedia, but as I noted on its talk page (not yet deleted, by the way) I can't see how it fits any CSD category except perhaps vandalism, which would apply only if we think it was not created in good faith. It is not gibberish, it is not nonsense (unless Rome also contains the same nonsense), and despite being short, it is easy to identify the subject. CSD says that being short or porrly written are not grounds for speedy deletion. PROD would be appropriate for an article like this, but the seeming-newbie author was very quick to do all sorts of Wiki-templating about "hold on" and even DRV, so a PROD might be rejected and AFD required. Many admins would doubtless agree that this article deserves speedy deletion, but I can't find a present CSD criterion which fits, other than vandalism, which would be bitey. Regards. Bleach arcs
I suggest using the DVD divisions to avoid WP:NOR concerns. If the DVDs have certain arc labels then we can't exactly just make up our own.
Also, sorry about the long response time from your first comment. University just started back up for me today, so I've been really busy for the last half week with packing and driving and whatnot. --erachima talk 01:29, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
- Translations are mostly fine. However, the first SS and HM arcs are currently mislabeled. Seasons 2 and 7 should both have the same subtitle, either "sneak entry" or "infiltration". The English release for the SS one is titled "The Entry", if you want to go with the closer one to the English version, but infiltration sounds less engrishy to my mind. --erachima talk 04:14, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

About your copy-edit to Sano
I noticed these changes and was wondering if the same should be done to Himura Kenshin (currently a GA). Thoughts? Please reply on your talk page, Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 05:12, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
- If you mean changes to the lead, etc., then yes. On the question if I will copy-edit Himura Kenshin, then no, as it's already a GA, and the primary reason I copy-edited Sagara Sanosuke was because it was going for GA. sephiroth bcr (converse) 05:16, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
- Ok. I'm just trying to be consistent here. So what exactly in the lead needs a fix? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 05:21, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
- Just go off the changes I made to the lead in Sagara Sanosuke. The original lead was basically identical to the one in Himura Kenshin, so you should be able to pick up on the changes. sephiroth bcr (converse) 05:22, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
- The format seems to differ a little, him being the main character and all, but I guess I'll try something later. Also, would you suggest that I change instances of "AnimeOnDVD.com" to "Mania Entertainment" as you did for Sano? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 05:27, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Re:RE:List of x media
Thanks for the offerance (don't think that's a word, sounds like a Bushism) of assistance with List of StarCraft media. I don't think I'll really need it, everything seems to be going along smoothly. I certainly think we can justify a list in this case, although not all aspects are fully notable and only covered within larger articles, there's 29 individual items to put on it. However, I'd appreciate you looking the list over just to make sure it ticks the boxes with you. I've not done the introduction yet—I'll do that tomorrow—but the actual list is done and referenced. I'm hoping that I can get this to progress quickly, I'm going to stick it up for VG assessment out of the door, peer review immediately after and hopefully hit featured list candidates by the end of the month. -- Sabre (talk) 20:11, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Sephiroth, would it be possible for you to pick a list other than List of D.Gray-man episodes (season 1)? According to the page history, the list was already practically FLC ready several days before the contest began, so it wouldn't be fair to the other entrants to let you use it. -- Scorpion0422 20:04, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- Okay I will check that out. Durova was who got me hooked on DYKs; she also suggested moving into WP:FP and WP:FS territory but I simply don't have the time! :) But I've got about half a dozen DYKs nominated now, so hopefully those go through. Gary King (talk) 15:24, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Himura Kenshin may need a revamping
How good is your copy-editing? I would like to bring it up to FA level, but it seems that there are a few more details that need to be done. Thoughts? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 00:36, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
- My copy-editing certainly is not good enough to bring the article to FA, and I believe a reorganization of the way we do fictional characters might be necessary for the purposes of FA; however, I'm not interested in pursuing that at this time. — sephiroth bcr (converse) 03:47, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Unprotect
Hey, can you unprotect Cell (Dragon Ball). I've sent it to AfD and it wouldn't be fair if folks couldn't edit it while its going on (and can't add the appropriate template to the top of the page). I'd presume the edit warring is over otherwise since the two complainers have already overturned the merges. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 15:47, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Protecting the Template for Orson Welles' films
Hello! If it is not a bother, can you please consider protecting Template:OrsonWelles? Someone has repeatedly removed the listing for Welles' last movie, Filming Othello, and I don't want to play tit-for-tat with that editor by restoring his reverts (his logic: it is a documentary and, thus does not belong). Thanks! Ecoleetage (talk) 00:37, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
- I am confused by your comments that my attempt to maintain the proper contents of Template:OrsonWelles are "bitey and/or uncivil." Can you please be specific...just what part of my communications are bitey and/or uncivil? I have not been rude to the editor who is repeatedly claiming that a film directed by Orson Welles does not belong in a template devoted to films directed by Orson Welles. I re-reviewed my message and it seems obvious that I politely explained why he is in error in repeatedly removing the film from the template. Thank you.Ecoleetage (talk) 12:17, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
- PS I also re-reviewed my edit summaries and there is absolutely nothing "bitey and/or uncivil." I would appreciate an explanation of your comments. Thanks. Ecoleetage (talk) 12:30, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
- Well, calling the edits "bitey and/or uncivil" seems, on its own terms, bitey and/or uncivil -- please assume good faith before making harsh statements. Anyone who is even vaguely familiar with Orson Welles' films would realise the omission of the director's last completed film is strange -- and the argument that removing it because it is a non-fiction feature makes no sense whatsoever. Thank you. Ecoleetage (talk) 02:42, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
- The fact remains that I left a detailed explanation on his Talk Page (which you already know). The Edit Summary does not offer space to explain in depth why omitting a film directed by Orson Welles from a Template devoted to films directed by Orson Welles is illogical. And my explanation, I should stress, was polite (two uses of "please" and a "thank you"). Although you are explaining yourself after the fact, your initial observation was harsh and unpleasant (though I really don't care, as I am planning to rewrite the article on Welles' film of "Macbeth" -- who allowed that travesty to stay online?)Ecoleetage (talk) 02:53, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

- I mean, I'm comparing my contributions to both of your contributions as of now. Fuchs is still crushing me in FAs and you're still beating me in FLs! Gah! Gary King (talk) 20:47, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
← I'm almost there, anyways. It's only a matter of time! Gary King (talk) 21:02, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- eh, I'll leave you guys to duke it out at FLN, while I plot a coup to depose the evil Tyrant Hink and retake WBFAN for the forces of video games and pop culture! :P Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs (talk) 21:18, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- I wouldn't say I'm taunting you. But I probably am, so I won't say anything. Giggy (talk) 08:11, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
You got a thank you card!
A Thank You Card! | |

Dear Sephiroth BCR, thank you so much for your words of support, kindness, and your trust in me. My request for Adminship has been closed, and the support the community has shown will be with me forever. I have no way to properly express how grateful I am, and all I can tell you is this: I shall try not to disappoint you nor anyone else with my use of the buttons... and if I mess up, please tell me! :) If you ever need my help, either for admin-related stuff or in any other way, you are welcome to ask, and I shall do my very best.
Dear Sephiroth BCR, I would also like to thank you for your note here and your note of congratulations. Please take care. |
Re: my user page
OK, what exactly is the problem? That I think people who support notability and deletionism are idiots and say so? I don't list them by name like I used to. So are you saying that I can call belief systems stupid and moronic, but I can't apply those same terms to followers of those belief systems, even I don't name names? Thanos6 (talk) 20:07, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
- Well, sometimes condescension and name-calling really is called for, when logic and reason has failed (anger and wrath can be forces for positive change), and I strongly disagree with both official policy on it and your judgment and application thereof. (And yes, you're correct; verifiablity is the only rule this place needs). Nevertheless, I bow to your position, and I'll work on fixing the page to something you find acceptable. Thanos6 (talk) 03:21, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Rock Lee Nomination
I am sorry, I should have notified you before nominating Rock Lee for featured article status. You mentioned that the article is not ready for FA, please post the improvements you believe would get it there. I would be happy to address them, but I really believe the article is one of the best written character articles I have ever read on the site. Scapler (talk) 23:58, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
- Once again, I am sorry for going over you head in the nomination process. I cannot believe I was careless enough to forget such an essential part of procedure, and I assure you, no animosity was intended, it was a simple, if fatal, mistake. I look forward to the day when you believe the article is ready for FAC. Scapler (talk) 11:29, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
uh
3 things
1. Don't give me this condescending "stop your reverting" crap when you're doing the exact same thing. I wasn't going to revert anyways (WP:3RR)
2. I apologize for your inability to distinguish "viewpoints" or "points of view" (which are what you cited in both of your reverts) from the paragraph that specifically says "...not limited to just viewpoints..." and goes on to talk about what else it refers to. Next time, quote the right part of the policy you're arguing about, and you won't have to "enunciate"
3. Have a nice day Suigetsu 00:27, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- On a slightly lighter note, did you change your sig recently? I always thought your sig was in Arial or a similar font. Suigetsu 01:24, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
RFA Thanks
Sephiroth BCR, I'd like to thank you for voting in my RFA. Thanks also for expressing your trust in me, and I hope that I live up to your expectations. Don't forget, if you have any questions (or bits of advice), please leave a message on my talk page. Thanks again, SpencerT♦C 02:57, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

Adopt a user: Me?
I've been looking through your adopt a user project entry and I wanted to know if you were still open for adopting someone. Forai (talk) 15:45, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Reply: Well, I wanted someone to show me the basics of wikipedia. I've been around for a while and picked up a few policies on my own but I wanted a guideperson to be able to ask and hear 'things to do' from. I also noticed you were big on anime/manga/videogames and wanted to learn about upgrading articles like that. I'm trying to avoid the vandalism protection for now and I know there's many other people for that, so I just wanted to know how to edit wikipedia better. Forai (talk) 19:40, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Question
Do you understand Japanese writing? If so, could you take a look at this and let me know if the person being interviewed confirms that he is Japanese-American. -- Scorpion0422 02:37, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
One of the advantages of not having many supporters at your RFA is that there are fewer people to thank at the end. Thanks for your support and your willingness to look at my complete record. I'm going to try to interpret this resounding defeat as a statement that I should choose my words more carefully in the future, and remember that every statement I make gets recorded forever, just waiting to get carefully transcribed onto my next RFA. I would go insane if I believed that it was repudiation of what I truly meant: that no editor should consciously and willfully ignore guidelines and policies, and editors that repeatedly do so should not be rewarded for or supported in doing so.
I'm sure I'll get back to full speed editing soon, because, after all, , every day, and in every way, I am getting better and better.—Kww(talk) 05:41, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
World of Naruto and terms
A discussion has been started at Talk:World of Naruto#ANBU Black Ops concerning the appropriate term to use for the "Black Ops" ninja rank. Any thoughts?-- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 04:07, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
RfA thanks
Hello Sephiroth. Thank you very much for your support in my recent Request for Adminship, which was successful with 111 supports, 0 opposes, and 0 neutral. I have to say I am more than a little overwhelmed by this result and I greatly appreciate your trust in me. I will do my best to use the tools wisely. Thanks again. Regards. Belated election congrats!
It is a great pleasure to see you elected as a coordinator, and I look forward to working with you! I've presented an opening slate of items, and your comments are requested. (Additionally, if you haven't already, you must add the coordinator talk page to your watchlist.) Congrats and speak soon, Girolamo Savonarola (talk) 05:17, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
Re: Musing
That will take some time. I am willing to share some of the workload and credit for DYKs though. Gary King (talk) 02:29, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
Will you help me?
Hi, I have a couple of questions and hope you can help. You are fluent in Japanese? If so, can you help to edit our page on Keisuke Kuwata? It has been started, but it is a mess between English attempts and Japanese. Please take a look. The Discography especially is really poor. Finally, I can see you are familiar with decorating computer pages. I am trying to find someone who can help me upload some images in Flickr to the Wikimedia Commons. Thanks for your time! --leahtwosaints (talk) 04:25, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
Hi, just thought I'd let you know that according to the cleanup listing, the article currently has an unsourced statement. Because the page is a Featured List, it would be great if it could be resolved quickly. Thanks, Scorpion0422 15:21, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
