Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to List of St. John's College, Jaffna people may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Your revert of the image of South India map

Hi, I saw that u have reverted the image of the map of South India a couple of weeks ago, where I had named the territories. In the previous version, Sri Lanka and the Tamil country were unnamed, and Sri Lanka had the same colouring as the Tamil country. This was very misleading and incomplete. My edit summary said "Named the territories", and that's the only change which I did, as you could clearly see from the image, but for some unkown reason you reverted it, and your edit summary said "Content of map changed without proper explanation". I do not know what explaination you need for it, but I have now added references for the Tamil names for Sri Lanka, in this image, and its also now linked to the map of South India. Although its quite unnecessary to provide such explainations I have now provided it. An image of screenshots of references is something I've been meaning to make for a long time, since some editors delete the content, like you did, saying they are not in the reference etc etc. Now they are in place in the image description, as well as in the image itself, which can easily be used in discussions if and when disputes or denials of this type occur. Please also see WP:ROWN. Thanks and regards. SriSuren (talk) 14:56, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

No, you didn't just name the territories - you altered the content of the maps so that Sri Lanka was no longer part of Tamilkama. This was a contentious change and you should have mentioned it in the edit summaries. The fact that you didn't suggests you were trying to hide this. The files' creator has given a source for his version of the map so you should have discussed the changes with them or on the files' talk pages before you made these changes. And don't assume that you're always right.--obi2canibetalk contr 13:01, 3 August 2013 (UTC)

I welcome your involvement. Sorry to notify you that the paragraph on Old Park I have edited contained wrong information please recheck and update. "Kittu Park" is another, that is built by LTTE near nallur temple. you can see that in google maps(I have attached a link on the page when I updated)

You may ask me things related Jaffna. I am really happy to assist you. Thank you for your encouragement and for reminding the wikipedia guidelines while you trying to follow on your best. hoping to see updated page soon. Have a nice day. --Ananthaneshan--SEA 14:52, 10 August 2013 (UTC)

Hi Ananthaneshan. I have provided a reliable source which states that Old Park is Kittu Park. Please provide a reliable source which shows this is wrong (Google Maps isn't a reliable source). Thanks.--obi2canibetalk contr 14:58, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
Please do not depend only on Sri Lankan journalists because some do not check integrity and reliability of information and their sources. This is a good example. Compare to news articles Google map is more reliable as you can witness it. check out these tamil net reference , and another -Ananthaneshan 17:34, 18 August 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ananthaneshan (talkcontribs)
Google Maps isn't a reliable source and can't be used here on Wikipedia. But TamilNet and Sangam are reliable sources, I will see if I can gather more reliable sources to create an article on Kittu Park.--obi2canibetalk contr 17:42, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
some do not recognize TamilNet as a good source and Sangam did not specifically mention its location, thats because I do not want to include those on the article. However I will support you on creating new article. come back to you soon with the information. --Ananthaneshan 17:58, 18 August 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ananthaneshan (talkcontribs)
TamilNet has been recognised to be a reliable source and I use it regularly to cite my contributions. The Sangam article mentions that the park is near the statute of King Sangili.--obi2canibetalk contr 18:06, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
