Your contributed article, The Federalist and Anti-Federalist Papers
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, The Federalist and Anti-Federalist Papers. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – The Federalist Papers. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at The Federalist Papers. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.
If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. The_stuart (talk) 03:48, 8 August 2021 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Prahlad balaji. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. [edit]Recent articles and editing
[edit]Hello. I came across your editing at Milner's Kindergarten (I can kind of see why you chose that username) and went from there (eventually) to Doullens Conference and saw that your draft of Abbeville Conference was declined (I understand why it was declined, but think it has great potential). I also saw the discussion at Milner's article talk page here and your extensive mining of primary sources (newspaper articles from The Times) on that talk page. While I have a fondness for rummaging through old newspaper articles myself, that sort of thing does need to be watched carefully (for reasons that are very logical but can take a while to explain). I actually got onto this topic while reading about Thomas Jones (civil servant) - it was the other 'secretary' (i.e. civil servant) in the British side of the Anglo-Irish Treaty negotiations who was part of Milner's Kindergarten (Lionel Curtis). Anyway, I just wanted to try and say that I appreciate your editing, but can see that you might run into more problems at some point. For example, the external links to articles from The Times in the text at Milner's Kindergarten is something that needs clearing up at some point. This is the point where I should offer to help, but I don't always have time to do that (and not over the next few weeks), but I might be able to point you in the right direction. Carcharoth (talk) 21:44, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
- In response to your message, I left links to "The Times" in the talk section of the following wikipedia pages:
- 1. Alfred Lord Milner
- 2. Viscountess Milner
- 3. Milner's Kindergarten
- I did this as an aid for other members. If there is a quality problem, or some other problem relating to newspaper sources, please let me know. Thank you. Lord Milner (talk)
- Replying here to your reply (which I have copied back here). Leaving such links on article talk pages is usually fine but not always that helpful, as what needs to be used is high-quality secondary sources (usually academic ones) where the authors (not us) have done the digging through primary sources and published the results of their research. Usually it is only acceptable (and sometimes not even then) to use newspaper sources to verify or include additional information, and even then only if secondary sources deem the matter worth mentioning, and only if it is not distorting the article and not giving undue weight to certain things. The problem with Milner's Kindergarten is that it looked like this on 29 May 2020 just before your first edit to it, and it now looks like this, which is fine as far as the content goes (as far as I can tell), but the 'Reconstruction' and 'Non Kindergarteners' sections still have those external links to articles in The Times. I can see similar external links in Alfred Milner, 1st Viscount Milner and Violet Milner, Viscountess Milner. Those need to either be moved to the talk page, or turned into proper references. You may be interested in Template:Cite newspaper The Times. Carcharoth (talk) 03:15, 15 January 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not insert external links into article text as you did here. This is not appropriate. For guidance on how to add external links, and which links are appropriate, may be found at Wikipedia:External links. Thank you, DuncanHill (talk) 17:34, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
- Also, see my edit here. It is not appropriate to link to search results within a source like you had done. DuncanHill (talk) 17:41, 4 February 2021 (UTC)

Moving pages
[edit]Hi Lord Milner, I came across your request to rename your draft article on the talk page. I've moved it for you, but you can find information on how to do this yourself in the future at HELP:MOVE. Remember to make sure that article titles reflect the most commonly used English-language name for the subject.
Regrading your draft article (now at Draft:Dury, Compiègne and Abbeville Conferences), I suggest you take a look at Doullens Conference, which appears to have some overlap. That article lists the date of the Abbeville Conference as 1–2 May 1918, whereas your draft lists it as March 25 – I presume these were separate events, in which case "conference" might not be the common name for the smaller meetings that your draft article is about. It may be better to find a different title – what do the sources call the meetings? You might want to tie the two articles together and take a look at the sources used there, so that the articles complement each other . I'm not a subject expert and don't have the time to do reading on it myself. All the best, Jr8825 • Talk 15:42, 5 April 2021 (UTC)

Era of Good Feelings
[edit]I've reverted your unilateral move of this article. A move that controverts a number of sources, including the online Encyclopaedia Britannica, clearly requires consensus on the article's talk page. You need to follow the instructions at WP:RM#CM, though I doubt you will gain consensus for such a move. Deor (talk) 21:29, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
I note that you overruled the advice given to you in WP:Teahouse: "Obviously, I'm from the United States, and there is no discussion about this. We are all taught the same." Whether they're from Abkhazia, Zimbabwe or indeed the US, editors are welcome to propose article moves or oppose such proposals, citing reliable sources. What schoolchildren are allegedly taught is of little concern. You also tampered with earlier comments on Talk:Era of Good Feelings. Please do not tamper with earlier comments. I have reverted all your recent edits to that talk page; you are welcome to make discrete additions to it in ways that make clear who added these comments and when. -- Hoary (talk) 23:16, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Lord Milner, I am from the US, and I wasn't taught anything about this -- I have never heard the phrase "Era of Good Feeling(s)", with or without the "s". This is not on par with Wikipedia:BLUESKY. 73.127.147.187 (talk) 07:46, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
Here's one: The Era of Good Feeling Please create a free account on the "Internet Archive" to view the words.
Here's another: The Era of Good Feeling This definition is even a bit off (it's missing the word "The").

Who United the Western Front During World War I? moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Who United the Western Front During World War I?, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. PRAXIDICAE🌈 14:03, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hello, Praxidicae,
- I don't think that citations are a problem here. It probably needs a different title and to be edited down. I'm not sure why you thought Draft space was the right solution. Liz Read! Talk! 16:47, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Liz It's an essay though, it's not just citations. PRAXIDICAE🌈 16:48, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
- Wikipedia itself is not considered a reliable source: Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not a reliable source#:~:text=Wikipedia is not a reliable source for citations elsewhere on,in progress, or simply incorrect.. To say this is an essay means I am advocating a certain viewpoint, but that's not the case. All statements are cited by footnotes that have courtroom credibility, and in 1925, "The Times" published the truth about Lord Milner's accomplishment as important news. I have a copy of this, and I will load it to Wikimedia so you can be read it. BTW, I am not related to him. Lord Milner (talk) 20:37, 11 July 2022 (UTC) (< him :))

August 2022: Lord Milner timeline
[edit]Hello, I am just an ordinary editor who has noticed your enquiry at the Teahouse. I don't know what other feedback you have received on your timeline thus far, but here are my immediate impressions:
- Why write a biography about a relatively obscure individual from history in the form of a very lengthy timeline? This is atypical and lacks narrative continuity and insight. In what way might it advance the body of human knowledge?
- For a person of Milner's notability, it is far, far, far too long. Dinner with the King? pfffft
- You have posted this at EverybodyWiki. Why hope that Wikipedia will accept it in its present form? This is an encyclopedia, which is not to serve as the "last word" on any subject. A 300-word-maximum article would be much more informative, provided it covered the highlights of his career.
- A timeline with approximately 1,000 entries defeats its own purpose, even if it's the timeline of Humanity!
And, if this person is notable, why is he only now being covered in Wikipedia, despite your ability to write something with 1,500 footnotes about him? Are you obsessed? - Note that I don't know what advice you've received previously regarding this timeline, but you should take it, as it is likely to have foreshadowed my own advice.Sincerely--Quisqualis (talk) 04:57, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for your advice. I don't know what EverybodyWiki is. These wikipedia troll like websites somehow parody Wikipedia and make it look original. They appear to tailor to specific audiences. This submission may best be placed in Scholarpedia (which is wikipedia approved), where it will be protected from editing. When I started, I didn't know how long it would be, but I wanted a complete timeline because Alfred Milner was vilified in some parts of England as a behind the scenes manipulator and an orchestrator of wars for profit. Example: https://www.google.com/search?q=Lord+Milner%27s+Second+War&sxsrf=ALiCzsaC0Ilwd4M18dIx57JovsQJpRlGMw:1661147632900&source=lnms&tbm=shop&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjv-M-U4dn5AhUeFFkFHXZ2AL0Q_AUoAnoECAIQBA&biw=1792&bih=1040&dpr=2#spd=12161886056322360334
https://www.google.com/search?q=Lord+Milner%27s+Second+War&sxsrf=ALiCzsaC0Ilwd4M18dIx57JovsQJpRlGMw:1661147632900&source=lnms&tbm=shop&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjv-M-U4dn5AhUeFFkFHXZ2AL0Q_AUoAnoECAIQBA&biw=1792&bih=1040&dpr=2#spd=12161886056322360334- The truth is quite the opposite, and this timeline proves it. I can shorten it, but with the internet space is not a problem. I like the detail, and I hope to add a picture or two more if I can find high quality ones. I hope you're not put off by its length.🙂
- I can copy and paste the file back into my sandbox. What do you suggest? Lord Milner (talk) 06:19, 22 August 2022 (UTC)

The article Charles Bugnet has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Not nearly enough in-depth coverage to meet WP:GNG.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Onel5969 TT me 11:26, 29 November 2022 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on The Lives of Lord Alfred Milner and Sir Winston Churchill requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Lives of Winston Churchill and Alfred Milner. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. [edit]Please do not advise new editors to try to learn how to edit Wikipedia by watching random YouTube videos. Some of these videos may be OK but many of them are terrible, and a new editor may not be able to distinguish between the good ones and the bad ones. Please keep your recommendations within Wikipedia. Please also be sure that your statements about things like use of sandboxes are accurate. Some editors use their sandbox space as I do, some use draft space, some write drafts off-line, and some highly skilled editors can write new articles directly in main space. Timeline of Alfred Milner moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Timeline of Alfred Milner. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it really needs to be cleaned up (and trimmed). I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Chaotıċ Enby (talk · contribs) 00:43, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
ANI
[edit]There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.Kathleen's bike (talk) 12:43, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, I just received notice that I've been blocked, and I would like to dispute that. I think people are overreacting to "The Life Timeline of Lord Milner". However, if this is for something else, I will certainly address that. My last edit, as I recall, was in the talk section of "William Basil Worsfold". Thank you. Lord Milner (talk) 17:36, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
- Multiple instances of overt racism were the majority of the reason for the block. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 17:49, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
- I have no idea what ANI is, and the above post is very offensive. Please have my ban reversed, and I promise to never repost articles that were declined. I didn't know this was against wikipedia's policy. Lord Milner (talk) 17:55, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
- Perhaps you care to explain some of this absolute bullshit? ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 18:06, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
- What? Where? Lord Milner (talk) 18:10, 30 April 2024 (UTC)

- The 'some' link is a comment appropriate for the talk section of the page. I believe that's where I posted it. If it's not liked, you can discuss it there. Lord Milner (talk) 18:18, 30 April 2024 (UTC)

Firs: It has been said that the fruit fly contains ~96% of the DNA as a white man; thus, the black race is the same as the white.
ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 18:21, 30 April 2024 (UTC)- The 'absolute' item is in the talk section of a page. I am a former Army officer. I have an MBA, and when I went through our officer candidate program (OCS), none of my classmates had a single college credit. The talk section of a page is where people who disagree can post an argument, where it will be discussed, and, hopefully, the right answer can be reached. [edit]{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 16:08, 30 April 2024 (UTC)- My apologies to Deor, because I just read her comment, and I missed her instructions (we posted at the same time, & I didn't go back and review the thread).
- I would like you to know that I am a serious poster, an autoconfirmed contributor, I have an MBA, 172 college credits, and I take my work very seriously. On certain items, above, articles were removed as 'original research', despite authentic footnotes and references, which I link to the Internet Archive whenever possible. They should review the footnotes and reference sources. If you like Wikipedia, you will love the Internet Archive.
- Just now I have been banned for disruptive edits. However, I never interrupted anyone's edit. Ever. A comment in a talk section of a page is not an edit. I feel as if I'm being hurt by political correctness, which stifles ideas and learning, and prevents the truth from being told. I learned that healthy debating brings forth the best ideas of both sides, so that an optimum solution can be reached. Besides, if I offend anyone in the talk section of a page, I would feel bad about it, and I would remove the material. However, this complaint happened after I brought a World War I related page to mainspace...
- ...one of extremely high quality and with the best references, which offended editors, who then proceeded to troll me. I don't believe they knew they were picking up talk pages, or that the standards in 'talk' are less than in mainspace. For this, I ask that my article be posted, and that I be allowed to continue along my merry way. Thank you. Lord Milner (talk) 19:07, 1 May 2024 (UTC)
- The only truth that is relevant in this discussion is that you have abused Wikipedia to post your utterly ignorant and grossly offensive racist comments. Wikipedia is not a platform for 'debate', it is a collaborative project to build an encyclopaedia, involving contributors from all sorts of backgrounds, worldwide. If you are really incapable of understanding why your comments are inherently incompatible with such a project, that's your problem, not ours. We don't need you.
