Changes for Zebpay
Hi,
I have edited for a lot of sections in Zebpay wiki page as We have done a lot of Changes in Zebpay app. We have recently launched Zebpay 2.0. From a bitcoin wallet, we have upgraded to multicoins - bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Also, from a wallet, we have to a exchange provider of cryptocurrencies in India. Hence, these changes. Also, removed old information, as not relevant now. Please restore the changes suggested earlier. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hinarajputzebpay (talk • contribs) 18:25, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Hinarajputzebpay, from what you say you clearly have a WP:Conflict of interest, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia not a place for promotion. Removing old information is not OK, it's encyclopedic information. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 18:31, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
why would I do promotion on wikipedia? this is updating users who are looking for info on zebpay. why would they want to read old info? You could keep that, but then there is no point keeping old info.
According to what you are saying, zebpay should have been founded by Mahin Gupta in 2012. Why did you add Sandeep Goenka and Saurabh Agarwal information when they joined in 2014? why did you allow this edit? Don't contradict yourself! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hinarajputzebpay (talk • contribs) 18:36, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Hinarajputzebpay I did not allow or not allow any other edit to Zebpay, if there is factual edits please feal free to correct (adding references). Correcting clear factual information is allowed under the WP:Conflict of interest guidelines. If users are looking for infomation of Zebpay they would go to zebpay.com, people come to Wikipedia for Encyclopedic content which included historical content. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 18:41, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
Then, add this information as well. Do not simply restore the old information.
Flipkart earlier started with selling books online. Later expanded in whole e-commerce. Is Wiki getting paid to allow these edits and promote the brand? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hinarajputzebpay (talk • contribs) 18:44, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
- If you want to correct things with valid references you can, it its not a reviewers job to sort out the good from the bad for you. You removed 16 out of the 17 references, no reviewer would allow this without a very good reason for the removals. The one refernece you left did not say what you changed the info to as it was from Sep 2016 thus is not valid for Jan 2018 figures. I have no idea what Flipkart has to do with this, or what is wrong with "Flipkart started by selling books online and popularised the idea of buying books online in India"? If that is wrong remove it saying why its wrong! Paid editing is generaly not allowed, and Wikipeida gets paid nothing for any content (see Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure). Hi Saba984 (talk) 13:27, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
What was unconstructive?
Please explain - 95.151.46.24
- Hi, we get endless vandals adding that people are 'gay' as I'm sure you can understand, so without a reference that's what it looks like, especially being the lead words to a "Career" section. We have strong guidelines on adding unsourced material about living people (See WP:BLP). So if this is true, and has importance to his career, it needs a reference. However I'll certainly assume good faith and remove the warning as I don't believe this was meant as a purely negative slur against the subject. But when adding such statements about living people please include a reference - See Help:Referencing for beginners. Also unless being gay had an affect on his Career it seams out of place. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 17:12, 25 January 2018 (UTC)
Shaun Ryder
Hello, I'm DieselEstate. Thank you for tidying up and/or rectifying any mess I made on the Shaun Ryder page. It honestly wasn't intended. Basically, I just wanted to change the picture for a more recent photo. I thought I'd done it properly but, obviously not. Please will you do it? If so, I'll provide you with a link to a more recent photo. I honestly think Ryder deserves a better photo. I'd give you my email address but, honestly - I don't log into email that often. Now I have contacted you through your Talk Page, I'll be sure to drop into Wikipaedia more often.
Thanks
- Hi DieselEstate no worries it was clearlydone in good faith. The trouble is Wikipeida has strict Copyright rules so a newer image can only be used if copyright free (you cant just take one from the web). You should give out your email address anyway, and contact via talk pages is the normal way. I've looks over on commons (the free image store used by Wikipedia) and there are currently only three images c:Category:Shaun Ryder. I did a quick look and found two later images that could possibly be used, but arnt great either, this and this - what do tyoou think? Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 16:27, 27 January 2018 (UTC)

how can I create my own biography pls kindly help me out thanks
- Hi Mr ROC G Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia, it is not social media. General people do not have artciles about themselves. To 'qualify' for an article a person needs to meet the guidline Wikipedia:Notability (people) and still should not ctreate themselves due to Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. missing article draft
hello KylieTastic, I created an article draft in Feb 2017 entitled microbar, but only now am I returning to continue work on it. I cannot find the draft and I'm wondering if it has been deleted, or am I not searching in the right way/place for it. Can you help? David
- Hi Dlhamann yes Draft:Microbar does appear to have been deleted as it was clasified as 'Abandoned' (see this). You you can ask for it to be restored - see Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion/G13. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 00:13, 29 January 2018 (UTC)

KYLIETASTIC--Recent Malicious Edits (Request HELP) / Best Wishes for Feeling Well
Hi Super Kylietastic--I hope you are doing well. Someone (I have no idea who) keeps editing the history of the Columbia High School (New Jersey) Wikipedia page to remove the fact of my having started the Columbia High School Fencing Team in 1982. My brother, Daniel, had to work hard in 1984 to keep it from being dissolved by the Essex County School Board of Education that at the time provided minimal funds to cover it and all other high school athletic teams. Today, the Columbia High School Fencing Team is one of the premier fencing teams in the nation and produced the recent US Women's Fencing Team Broze Medalist, Ibtihaj Muhammad.
Page 192 of the 1982 Columbia High School Yearbook shows a photo of the team and identifies me as the fencing team captain. Can you and/or Wikipedia help preclude this person's editing of factual history? My contribution was significant and merits acknowledgement. I have concrete evidence of my having started the team through the yearbook, certainly, I also have a video from that time. How can the person be stopped from editing this page since his/edits are inaccurate by virtue of OMISSION? 108.48.176.86 (talk) 20:15, 4 February 2018 (UTC)Jerry Glasser jeromeglasser@hotmail.com
- Hi 108.48.176.86 looking back I can see that yes it was in the article in the past but flagged as [citation needed] as it had no source. All information on Wikipedia that is not sourced can be removed by anyone at anytime. Unfortunately too many people are dishonest (especialy when masked behind internet anonymity) Note that Wikipedia does not require sources/references to be online (although it's preferred) - I assume the school does not have an online record of this? The yearbook picture sounds like it would just show you were the captain, but not show you and your brother started and kept it going. If the team is "one of the premier fencing teams in the nation" then maybe you could also contact them to ask that the history of the team is added to there website https://sites.google.com/site/chsfpa/home, then that would be a good source. Maybe an image of the yearbook page could be uploaded, but I have no idea on the copyright of yearbook images - you could try asking at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, and maybe that would be enough to at least show you where the original captain. Unfortunalty there is a lot of things in te world that are true, but can not be proved, but Wikipedia can not allow any unsourced claim just becuase someone says so. Although I sympathise, we also cannot let people just remove content just because they can't put a piece of info they cant prove on the website. Maybe there is something else that can be done, but I dont know it, so all I can suggest is you ask at the Wikipedia:Teahouse where lots of experience editors and admins try to anser such problems, or there is the Wikipedia:Help desk. All the best. KylieTastic (talk) 20:49, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
- I just found the 1982 yearbook online here and yes "J. Glasser" is is the team, but the page does not say captain, and unfortunately does not say fencing was started that year, so not really a lot of help. KylieTastic (talk) 21:01, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
- Actually it appears fencing did not start that year (maybe yoou mean just a competive team), as the 1981 yearbook here also has fencing and (the head of) J. Glasser, and 1980 has fencing and a Glasser here. At least these show that the claim is not complete bogus, but unfortunatley not much else. KylieTastic (talk) 21:11, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
- Note that the 1983 yearbook give a source for the team starting in 1981 as it says "Since its beginning two years ago" also it shows "team captain Danny Glasser". So a source for two additions rather than the deletions. KylieTastic (talk) 21:31, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
Hi KylieTastic--Thank you for investing time to research this situation! I studied law in Virginia in a specialty Intellectual Property program near the United States Patent and Trademark Office, so I like to think I have an intimate familiarity with the importance of maintaining intellectual property rights. Partly for this reason, I absolutely appreciate and laud your commitment to avoiding infringement and for preserving "truth". In this particular case, I won't dare hope that you'll invest time to notice the significant difference between the 1980 and 1981 CHS yearbook photos which characterizes CHS fencing as "clubs" with students in regular clothing, as opposed to the 1982 yearbook image which divulges students in complete uniforms. (Kudos for finding the yearbook images, and thank you for your effort!) I can't recall precisely from where we got the uniforms; I seem to recall they were extras donated from my fencing coach from outside school, A. John Geraci.
To the extent that Wikipedia reasonably wishes to maintain a scrupulous reputation for disclosing "truth", it would work a disservice to such a goal if Wikipedia were to OMIT reference to my contribution and that of my brother. I am three years older than my brother and I worked diligently decades ago to formalize a "Team" in order to be able to compete in the state championships--which I couldn't do absent a de-facto "TEAM" status. I offer my word that in fact, I DID start the team and that my brother kept it going after I graduated through considerable fundraising events and by attending and speaking at board of education meetings which had slated fencing to be cut from Columbia High School.
I respectfully request that the following be added as a preamble to the current paragraph:
Columbia High School's fencing team was started in 1982 by a senior student, and a top-ranked foil fencer, Jerome Glasser, who triumphed after a considerable struggle to fund it in order to permit Columbia to compete in its first NJ State Fencing Championships. It was coached by a CHS biology teacher, Richard Cohen. The team was subsequently saved from dissolution two years later by the efforts of his brother, Daniel Gasser. Today, the school's fencing team is one of the largest in the nation,....etc.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and efforts. (By the way, I'm still fencing today in national competitions, but I'm older and fence sabre and my sparring partner is World Champion over 60Years, David Seuss.) 108.48.176.86 (talk) 00:09, 5 February 2018 (UTC)Jerry Glasser / jeromeglasser@hotmail.com
- Hi 108.48.176.86 just a quick update as I'm just on my lunch break. I have updated the start year to 82 as the move from club to sports section, plus the uniforms is evidence enough. I assume the 1983 "two years before" was written to the end of 83 or even 94, or just a rounding approximation. I have also added the coach and his subject. However although I'm personally inclined to believe you, Wikipedia is not run by individuals so what I think or even administrators think makes no difference, we all abide by the same rules. In this case the main issue is Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:No original research. To make an analogy with Law as you've studied it, there is often evidence that either the prosecution or defence has good reason to believe but is not admissible as evidence for some reason. In a court your identity would be validated and your testimony allowed, but this is like a lawyer standing up and saying I have an email from someone claiming to be someone can I read this as evidence, the answer who be no. Without a source there is no more that can be done, so unless you find one, the only option may be to persuade the team to write a history section on there website and thus create one. As always, if you wish to have a second (or multiple) opinion ask at the Wikipedia:Teahouse. Glad to hear your still fencing, too many have no passion for anything. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 14:50, 5 February 2018 (UTC)

Changes for Emma Rayne Lyle
Gosh I hope I am doing this right. Hi Kylietastic
- Someone maybe the bot keeps deleting the photo of Emma Rayne Lyle that we took of her and gave full copyrights. How do we add the image back? Thank you! Varsity 5 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Varsity5a (talk • contribs) 19:20, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Varsity5a, the bot just removed the link to the image that was already deleted from our sister project (for media) Wikimedia Commons. I see that the image was uploaded along time ago in June 2016, but was only flagged for deletion on the 26th August 2017, when a notice was put on the uploaders user page on Commons c:User talk:Katehenderson1964. The file was deleted by the Commons administrator c:User talk: Hedwig in Washington. The image was deleted as a "Copyright violation". Its odd that you say you took the image as the filename suggests its just a screen shot, however I cant really comment as I can not see the image, you'll need to talk to the deleting admin is you think this was in error, to do this go to c:User talk: Hedwig in Washington. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:40, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
- Oh, I see youve already found out and posted, and your request has been answered. KylieTastic (talk) 19:44, 9 February 2018 (UTC):
- Kaylie that advisor or monitor never responded to me. Is there anyway you can advise me how to add the photo to the Wikipedia Commons? I did take the photo, yes I did screenshot it because the original was so large, but I can rename it if I have to, I just can't figure out this system. Thank you! comment added by Varsity5a (talk 09:37, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Varsity5a, oh yes it appears Hedwig_in_Washington has not been editing since 29 November 2017 either on Commons or here. They may have retired or be on an extended break, sorry I should have noticed before. I see that you did get an answer on your Commons undeletion request here. As they say because it was published on the internet prior you would have to go to c:Commons:CONSENT to see how to show you are the owner and giving the required permission. This can be difficult to comply with but as the image has already been published is a legal requirement. An easier root to get an image on would be to take a new photo(s) and upload direct to commons using the Special:UploadWizard and filling the details in as asked. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 15:00, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
- Kaylie We uploaded a completely different photo that we took of Emma. And now someone else has deleted that photo. That is our photo. Why is this happening? comment added by Varsity5a (talk 11:25, 27 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Varsity5a it would appear the image was not deleted just flagged as missing permission by the commons admin Didym - I assume it was flagged as it looks like it was previously published - or at least a reverse image search says it was on IMDB but I cant see it there any more. However as the version you uploaded appears to be larger than the old IMDB version it does suggest you have the original. As the ownership has been questioned I believe the only way to save it is to send proof as requested in the notice on you talk page on commons, but I'm no expert on commons policies. Sorry I can't help more, you can try asking Didym on commons as they flagged it or at the c:Commons:Help_desk. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 23:06, 27 February 2018 (UTC)

16:05:33, 12 February 2018 review of submission by DrJonJ
The rejection reason is given as 'Comment: IMDB is not a reliable sources KylieTastic (talk) 18:03, 10 February 2018 (UTC)'
I am confused by this, as I didn't use IMDB as a source, I simply added a 'see also' link to the IMDB page (as that's commonly done on wikipedia film pages).
All the information about the film came from the film itself, as you'd expect (how do you cite this?)
Plot summary -- from watching the film.
Cast -- from the film credits
Music -- from the film
Director, producer, distributor, etc. -- from the film credits
The statement to it being an early production of Film Four, is simply that it's a Film Four production (then called Channel Four Films) from 1982, the year that Film Four Productions was founded.
Similarly, references to early appearances of a number of British actors doesn't come from IMDB -- it's obvious from linking to wikipedia's pages for the actors concerned.
How can I cite this information? DrJonJ (talk) 16:05, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi DrJonJ, you raise a fair point I hadn't really thought about before but I'm not sure if a film itself counts as a source for the facts as seen in the credits, or if this is counted as Wikipedia:Original research? However what is needed is sources to show Wikipedia:Notability in this case more specifically Wikipedia:Notability (films). All articles on Wikipedia need to pass the notability guidelines. Sorry I'm not very well at the moment and not thinking clearly, so if you can find sources to show notability you may have to ask at the Wikipedia:Teahouse or Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk on the issue of how much can just be taken from the credits? Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 16:32, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
Hi, no, it's not original research, as it's simply an observation (and easily verifiable by anyone who watches the film). Surely the credits of a film counts as a primary source? After all, unless you have a signed affidavit from the director, this is the most direct source of information about the film -- any other source will simply be reproducing this information from the film (more-or-less). In terms of notability, I was tempted to write the page because I was surprised by the number of dead links within other wikipedia pages (for example, in pages of the twenty-something actors in the film who rate their own wikipedia pages). Also, it was aired recently on Film4 as part of their Gary Oldman season. DrJonJ (talk) 17:20, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
Thinking about it, would you need to get a source for the authorship and publisher of a book? Or would it be OK to take this information from he cover of the book? DrJonJ (talk) 16:33, 17 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi DrJonJ I think for both films and books its ok to get factual info direct - as you said it's a primary source. Although its always preferable if there are additional sources to validate without someone having to locate and view. I've recently come across, and reverted, a number of edits changing directors names etc to what I believe is there own names (people are odd). The BFI link does this for the main info. Note the reason the IMDB is not a valid ref is the same reason Wikipedia isn't, as they are both publicly edited.
- However, all that's needed to have it accepted (and hopefully not then challenged for deletion) is to show Wikipedia:Notability / Wikipedia:Notability (films). So the best is too add as many relevant sources as you can find and re-submit for review. What would be good is a couple of full length reviews from a good sites, I looked but did't find any. Maybe being Gary Oldman's first film is notability enough, but its not clear that would be accepted as a reason under WP:NFO, so someone could accept on that, it would have a high chance of been challenged for deletion by a Deletionist. Also you should check the wiki-links some don't go to the subject in question - such as John Altman - should this be John Altman (actor), in which case the markup is John Altman. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 18:21, 17 February 2018 (UTC)
Thanks! In the end I searched for details of Colin Gregg, and that turned up a goldmine of information and articles. It turns out the film is very significant in the history of Channel 4 and UK cinema's relationship to TV. It also won an award. This should pass notability requirements (the award and scholarly articles specifically about the film's role in cinema history). I've added refs, and resubmitted. DrJonJ (talk) 17:29, 20 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi DrJonJ, sounds good - sometimes google is really bad at turning up info on direct searches then you go a different root and find the trove. Also any serious awards are usually a good solid notability point. Just had a quick look - but looks good. Nice work :) Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 17:37, 20 February 2018 (UTC)

However as you only sent this to me and not others, maybe not then. As a young woman on the internet you should be careful giving out contact details to people yoou dont know. Yes Britain is a geat place, and I hope you get to come visit some da. If you are only 19 you heve plenty of time. Revert
It's fun to see that you've reversed me and you've barely changed anything I put in, you could just edit it again... Super Ψ Dro 14:15, 17 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Super Dromaeosaurus, I assume your talking about Nuqat al Khams? In which case I was not revering you, you fixed some of the unexplained changes to "Zuwara" from "Nuqat al Khams" made by the anon before you, I was just revering back more to fix the rest. I don't read Arabic, so I didnt notice the difference between the two, so I've leave it up to you to fix that if its now wrong. So yes I did "barely change" anything you put in beacuse it was the other chnages in the infobox that I had noticed. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 14:23, 17 February 2018 (UTC)
BC vs. BCE
Hello,
I thought it best to change the outdated BC to the more correct BCE. But it was reverted. I'm under the impression "BCE" replaced "BC" some time ago: was I wrong? Please let me know :)
Hope all is well.
Best,
fydbac — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fydbac (talk • contribs) 00:29, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Fydbac, yes in the scientific world BCE/CE has become more of the standard however on Wikipedia we still have the guideline WP:ERA. The reason is that there is a lot of religious people that would claim BC/AD is correct, and what is bad for articles is to have factions swapping back and forth based on personal opinion/world-view. In your case here you caused several errors: breaking an image; changing BCE to BCEE; changing BBC to BBCE; breaking a category. Other errors that are often introduced by such changes are breaking references; changing titles, quotes, etc from the actual source; breaking wiki-links. I'm not sure when WP:ERA was last discussed, but until it's changed by WP:Consensus it applies, and not our personal preferences. Hope that makes sense - Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 11:10, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
An edit you made
I saw you made changes to the page of TheDavid school. I'm just wondering what credentials you have to know the history of the David school? The history you have written is incorrect — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lalag7 (talk • contribs) 03:43, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Lalag7, I assume you mean The David School? My credentials are irrelevant, editors work to the Wikipedia guidelines and base edits on sources - In this case this was simple anti-vandal work. A section with a source reference was deleted with no reason, so I restored with an edit summary of "Rvt unexplained removal" - I wrote nothing I just reverted the removal. Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia based on sourced information, not personal opinion. The incident clearly happened, so the complete removal looks like someone trying to clean public 'history'. It is clearly not all incorrect, and as neither remover has explained or yourself has explained which part is "incorrect" it stays. I notice that the section said that the sister Emma Kriz was also in the ruling and that was not in the source, so I found another that does and have added that. Its clear that several editors have violated several of our guiltiness in the past such as Wikipedia:Conflict of interest, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, Wikipedia:Verifiability and added Wikipedia:Copyright violations. Lastly both deletions have been done from Texas where an unsourced statement said Greene had moved too and not Kentucky where the school is, so this looks very much like someone trying to protect Greene's reputation. BCE vs BC response
Hello!
Thank you so much for the quick and thorough reply. I completely understand. I'm SO very sorry for the trouble! I should have been more careful and really checked it over. (I knew I should have added a space before and after). Again, thank you for sharing and verifying. Just sorry to have troubled you so.
Also, so sorry if this is the wrong method to reply just to send my regards: This is my first time using this side of Wiki like this.
Kind Regards,
Fydbac (talk) 12:17, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Fydbac, no problem at all, we all have to learn and its a common mistake and there are a lot of guidelines. But one is Wikipedia:Be bold - so as long as you so as you did here and discuss, rather than what other have done on this issue and edit war until blocked, its all good. Because of the wiki-markup and the fact the text has links, filenames, urls, factual titles, templates etc you do have to be careful with doing search replace type actions. As for replying you can find the section and just click the edit at the edit of the section name and add to the bottom. Welcome to Wikipedia, and it you have any questions starting out the Wikipedia:Teahouse is a good place to ask as it has lots of experienced editors trying to help and since they will be from different timezones you can often get answers quicker. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:24, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for spotting me!
Thanks for the reverts on the images that I've inadvertently broken. I've been trying to pay extra attention and watch out for those, but obviously I miss some now and again. It's surprising how many script mixups happen in file names, though I have a sneaking suspicion that some of them might be intentional. While I appreciate your help, I'll continue to try to give you less to do in the future. Trey314159 (talk) 17:24, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hey Trey314159 no worries. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 17:26, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
Reasons for Submission being Declined?
Hello, KylieTastic my submission was declined for not being "adequately supported by reliable sources." Could you please specify the reason of why the submission was declined and examples of it? Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rosana13A (talk • contribs) 18:53, 20 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Rosana13A, all articles on Wikipedia must have independent reliable sources so that the information can be verified, also all articles need to show Notability — the standard(s) Wikipedia uses to determine which subjects qualify for articles — in this case Wikipedia:Notability (people) is the more specific guideline. Your article has no references at all - see Help:Referencing for beginners for how to add them. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 19:11, 20 February 2018 (UTC)

Question regarding notability for One Lady Owner (band)
Hello,
I am trying to get my article published and have had 2 attempts fail for the following:
This submission's references do not adequately show the subject's notability.
Since your message I have added what I would consider notable additions: appearing on the BBC show Omnibus (specific episode is mentioned in article), and performing at Glastonbury (NME stage) - with references to the NME's web page containing this information and to the specific page on the IMDb website regarding the Omnibus programme. It's been turned down again for the same reason. I would be very grateful if you can give me a pointer and help me get this article on Wikipedia.
I appreciate your time is valuable.
Steve (VincentBlack) VincentBlack (talk) 13:08, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Steve firstly I've tidied up the additions, moving the refs to the relevant sections and adding wikilinks, etc. Note that all articles need to pass the Wikipedia:Notability guidelines, in this case Wikipedia:Notability (music) - most of the criteria are not close, the only one that may is No.2 "Has had a single or album on any country's national music chart." but its not clear what position counts? Normally it Top 50, and they would only just qualify was Top 100. Being mentioned as one of many in the Omnibus programme about Alan McGee is not independent notability, and the same for a single performance on the third stage at Glastonbury. I've asked on the Wikipedia:Teahouse for opinions on WP:BAND criteria 2. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 15:29, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
KylieTastic thank you for the feedback and for tidying up. In fact, the band were featured heavily on that particular Omnibus with them live in session at the start and end of the show. The episode is viewable on YouTube. The band also recorded a live session for the BBC's Steve Lamacq (Radio 1) but I can't find any online reference for that. Documentary evidence from the BBC might be possible. I'll keep looking to see what else I can find - I'm determined to get this published!
I hoe the top 100 will count for the criteria No.2 you mention.
Thanks again.
Steve VincentBlack (talk) 17:33, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Steve good plan, the more referenced content you can find/add the easier it is to justify notability. Add as much as you can and resubmit, I've also asked for the criteria 2 to be qualified (but guidelines don;t change quickly due to the need for consensus). All the best KylieTastic (talk) 17:38, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
A submission that has been declined has been improved. Pls can you verify that
This page was denied so I improved it accordingly https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:RiceGum Could this be verified?
- Hi Rahid7, yes to re-submit just add to the top of the article. Not sure why the previous review does not have an automatic "resubmit" button which would be the normal way. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:05, 25 February 2018 (UTC)

- Hi FerryBrewery, I declined because it was unsourced - all articles need coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the topic. Request on 16:26:06, 8 March 2018 for assistance on AfC submission by 128.146.137.83
Hello. My question is: why is the English language version of John Kagel's page not allowed, but the German version is? (The English version is a direct translation of the German.) https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kagel Do the rules vary by country? It just seems like they should either both be allowed or both be disallowed. Thanks for looking at this, and for replying so quickly. Much appreciated.
128.146.137.83 (talk) 16:26, 8 March 2018 (UTC)
- Hi 128.146.137.83, different language Wikipedias have different guidelines, I believe English Wikipedia has the most. It would tend to be in proportion to the number of articles, as at the start getting content is more important, but once the number of articles is large enough more concerns on quality apply. I don't know if the German version is because its aloud under their guidelines, or if it just hasn't been challenged. However for English Wikipedia articles must pass the notability (WP:NOTE) guidelines, and be verifiable (WP:VERIFY). In this case Wikipedia:Notability (academics) would probably be applicable as well as the General notability guideline. Hope that makes sense, Regards KylieTastic (talk) 17:41, 8 March 2018 (UTC)
That makes perfect sense; thanks much. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.146.137.83 (talk) 21:50, 8 March 2018 (UTC)

- Hi Aditya Mani Tripathi sorry I'm dealing with a lot of thinks in real-life so not got much time for Wikipedia. KJP1 responded to your post on the AfC Help Desk here and added a comment to the draft (at the top). Howeevr what you need to do is show Notability (see Wikipedia:Notability (people) by adding reliable references (WP:RS). See Help:Referencing for beginners for how to add references. Basically start by finding as many reliable sources that cover the subject in some detail, or verify key facts about them, and add them to the article. - Hi Pkbwcgs that's a bit odd, and I can't see why... I just download at work to check and I got the "Reverting edits..." edit summary (here). I'm not aware of any setting either, so I suggest asking at Wikipedia:Huggle/Feedback. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 18:45, 16 March 2018 (UTC)

- Hi Pkbwcgs I just remembered as soon as I send the last that you have a page User:Pkbwcgs/huggle3.css that has options in. For some reason you have a number of parameters I don't have such as the "rollback-summary:" that I believe are overriding the project defaults Wikipedia:Huggle/Config. A small request
Hello. Thanks for moving images that shadow files on Commons. One tiny request: when tagging the post-move redirects, could you please use db-redircom instead of db-author? WP:G7 doesn't apply to page moves. Thanks! - Eureka Lott 16:47, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Eureka Lott, I only started using db-author as I had previously used Twinkles G6 Housekeeping, but noticed that Fastily had deleted several as G7 (example 1 example 2) so I had swapped to G7 as I assumed that was the preferred. I wasn't aware of db-redircom as I mostly just used Twinkle and that doesn't have that one. I'll try to remember from now on :) Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 17:03, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
Emma Rayne Lyle
Hi Kylie. Emma added her own image, but accidentally placed her contact information in the photo's information section. Is there a way to remove the previous images that had that information? The current image has the contact information taken out. This is the location of the image: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:EmmaRayneLyle-2018.jpg Thank you! Varsity5a (talk) 11:14, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Varsity5a, old versions can be removed by any administrator - its called a c:Commons:Revision deletion - the section "How to request Revision Deletion" suggests contacting an admin direct, but does not recommend how to identify who! Unfortunately I don't believe there is a list of ones open to requests, so all I can suggest is either pick one from who has been active recently c:Commons:List of administrators by recent activity (list on right). If you don't mind making a more public request just to get it removed from future snooping just ask at c:Commons:Administrators' noticeboard. Hope that helps, Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:50, 18 March 2018 (UTC)
Question regarding notability for One Lady Owner (band)
Hello,
I'm still trying to get together further reference material for this article. I have several magazines and music papers that contain 1 and 2 page features on the band from '98/'99. They include Select magazine and several issues of Kerrang and Melody Maker. I can't find online references for these. Is there any way these offline hard print references can show notability through their full-page/multi-page features and interviews?
I have a director friend at the BBC who is trying to locate a Radio 1 session recorded and broadcast from Maida Vale in '98. But that won't be an internet reference either.
I appreciate your time on this. Thank you.
VincentBlack
--VincentBlack (talk) 12:34, 22 March 2018 (UTC)
- Hey VincentBlack although it makes the job reviewing more difficult established magazines and newspapers (or other offline sources) still count as reliable sources. Its always preferable for sources to be online so they can be verified both by other editors or just readers, but sometimes that's just not possible. There are lots of articles for instance that only cite academic books and papers. Some reviewers have access to online libraries so can verify anyway (see Wikipedia:The Wikipedia Library) - I keep meaning to sort that out myself.... For magazines the cite template is Template:Cite magazine, but the easiest way is to usually use the refToolbar or I think the VisualEditor has a helper - see Help:Referencing for beginners#Using_refToolbar. Although using a Maida Vale Studios session would be difficult, if you can just show they did a Radio 1 Maida Vale session I would think that would count to notability. Hope that helps. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 18:57, 22 March 2018 (UTC)
Hi KylieTastic,
I have received the Radio 1 session mentioned earlier from a BBC archivist/archivist (via email). As this is key for notability, how can it be verified as reference? It doesn't appear online as it was in the early days of internet.
Thank you in advance.
VincentBlack (talk) 09:32, 27 March 2018 (UTC)
- Hi VincentBlack this is getting a bit out of my knowledge as I've never seen such a source used, so you may need to take this to the Wikipedia:Help desk. Firstly I assume this hasn't been released to you with a suitable 'free' licence so that it can be published? As this was paid for by taxpayer money you'd hope that after it was of no direct value that it should be made free to use. I was surprised it does not even appear to be listed via the BBC Genome Project. Technically I would this you can cite using Template:Cite AV media, but its obviously better if the source is available. If the content is not suitably licenced for full publication then there is an option using copyright "fair use" however for that you, or someone, would have to publish a review using 'minimal' excerpts from the original. I do wish organisations would release more free content rather than hoarding, I spent a while trying to persuade the NPG to release low res versions of all images for public use... they want to... but the time and money.... *sigh* Hope that helps (a bit), and as I say you can ask at the Wikipedia:Help desk to see if anyone has any other ideas/opinions. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:20, 27 March 2018 (UTC)
Christian Wentz: MIT Tech Review article removed
I don't understand why you deleted a link and supporting reference to his work -- the MIT Tech Review article? It should stay in there.LilWinner (talk) 18:06, 23 March 2018 (UTC)LilWinner
- Hi LilWinner, can you be more specific? The only mit reference I see before my edits was https://www.media.mit.edu/people/esb/overview/ and that is still there as ref number 11. I certainly didn't mean to delete any reference, but the ref tool I was using to tidy up was being a bit odd due extra newlines in the refs. I can't spot any lost references so if you can give me the url I will check again. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 18:15, 23 March 2018 (UTC)
Yes, here's the URL to the article you removed: https://www.technologyreview.com/s/603771/the-entrepreneur-with-the-100-million-plan-to-link-brains-to-computers/ . LilWinner (talk) 19:52, 23 March 2018 (UTC)LilWinner
- Hey LilWinner, https://www.technologyreview.com/s/603771/the-entrepreneur-with-the-100-million-plan-to-link-brains-to-computers/ is still referenced on the article 5 times as reference 13 "Regalado, Antonio. 'Silicon Valley's race to develop a brain-computer interface'". Note that we use cite templates on Wikipedia to give more than a url so that if the source url changes (as often happens) other information such as the title and author is known so it can be relocated. I've just added the publisher as "MIT Technology Review" so that shows up as well. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 20:21, 23 March 2018 (UTC)

New Page Review Newsletter No.10
ACTRIAL:
- ACTRIAL's six month experiment restricting new page creation to (auto)confirmed users ended on 14 March. As expected, a greatly increased number of unsuitable articles and candidates for deletion are showing up in the feed again, and the backlog has since increased already by ~30%. Please consider reviewing a few extra articles each day.
Paid editing
- Now that ACTRIAL is inoperative pending discussion, please be sure to look for tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary.
Subject-specific notability guidelines
- The box at the right contains each of the subject-specific notability guidelines, please review any that are relevant BEFORE nominating an article for deletion.
- Reviewers are requested to familiarise themselves with the new version of the notability guidelines for organisations and companies. A further discussion is currently taking place at: Can a subject specific guideline invalidate the General Notability Guideline?
Nominate competent users for Autopatrolled
- While patrolling articles, if you find an editor that is particularly competent at creating quality new articles, and that user has created more than 25 articles (rather than stubs), consider nominating them for the 'Autopatrolled' user right HERE.
News
- The next issue Wikipedia's newspaper The Signpost has now been published after a long delay. There are some articles in it, including ACTRIAL wrap-up that will be of special interest to New Page Reviewers. Don't hesitate to contribute to the comments sections. Redirects hiding Commons files
As you are good at evaluating for Shadowed/eclipsed commons files. Maybe you could examine some redirects? This query:
https://quarry.wmflabs.org/query/19295
Has about 400-500 redirects that hide/shadow/eclipse commons files.
The query which tracks actual files is here - https://quarry.wmflabs.org/query/18894 and I typically run it every morning at the moment.ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 16:01, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- Hey ShakespeareFan00 I had looked at that before but doing a few random checks where mostly FormerFeaturedPicture or other similar local local description pages and not redirects. The "page_is_redirect" flag appears to include any page that shadows and auto re-directs to commons. It's on my list to see see if I can trim down the miss-hits before looking into the rest. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 16:08, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- Hey ShakespeareFan00 I think this one should at least get the ones left over by moves without flagging the shadowing redirect for deletion: https://quarry.wmflabs.org/query/21567 Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 17:54, 30 March 2018 (UTC)

- Hi 174.27.25.155, that warning was from 14 August 2016, you must have seen the pop-up as the original editor did not re-visit Wikipedia at the time. Unless you specifically pay for a static IP address ISPs can change your IP address. Don't worry it was a long time ago and no one would assume the current user was the same person. However I will remove the old warning now to avoid any confusion. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 19:43, 5 April 2018 (UTC)

The user User:Immortal1nstrumentz's only contributions so far have been to try again and again to submit a page for acknowledged self-publicity, and vandalising repeatedly the page ReBoot: The Guardian Code. Maybe this guy's activity should be monitored more closely. Thanks in advance!88.182.48.88 (talk) 19:06, 12 April 2018 (UTC)
Regarding reverted wiki page
Hello! I was making a page for a company CEO on their request. I too like you craves perfection because of which I did multiple edits. It's a misunderstanding to think of it as vandalism. Please verify the final data as it's genuine. Also there is no other wiki page regarding the same person so don't include it in Wikipedia commons.
- Hi Theaditya436, I'm not sure what you mean as I have not reverted any edits, or said anything was vandalism. You submitted User:Theaditya436/sandbox to the Wikipedia:Articles for creation review process and I declined the article as it does not meet the Wikipedia guidelines. The notice on the page and your page gave the explanation, but basically all articles need to pass the Wikipedia:Notability guidelines, in this case Wikipedia:Notability (people) also all articles need to be referenced with independent reliable sources and your article currently has none. Finally as you said your CEO asked you to write it you should read the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guidelines. Hope that explains things, regards KylieTastic (talk) 15:54, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
Ms Kylie can you please help me in making the page ? Plzz
- Hi Theaditya436, sorry I'm too busy with work here and in real life - you can ask for advice and help at the Wikipedia:Teahouse. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 17:26, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
Are you a comp generated message ?
Sunbury
Thank you for reviewing and undoing the recent vandalism to the Sunbury page. I suspect that the addition of Shawn Miller as a notable person to the Sunbury page may have also been vandalism, but didn't feel experienced enough to make that call, and am writing to ask if you would be willing to review that page again (and revise if need be). My apologies for the length of this message to you, but I wanted to provide you with enough information to help determine whether or not there was earlier vandalism.
There was a revision done by an unidentified user (who was identfied only by a user IP) at 14:23 on 13 April 2018, which made changes to vandalism cleanup done by Denisarona at 14:18 on 13 April 2018. That revision by the unidentified user added two "notable people" (Shawn Miller and Angel Maisonette) to the notable people from Sunbury list. It appears that both of those "notable people" were fake - based on the wording of their entries - "(Shawn Miller, Oscar Winning Film Director, known for films like Underground Criminal Institute and Mississippi Street. He is also a seven time best director winner. He is currently president." and " Angel Maisonette, A world famous actor who has won six Oscars. He is known for his collaborations with critically acclaimed film maker Shawn Miller. He was also Shawn Miller's running mate in the 2048 election, and is currently vice president.").
I removed the reference to Shawn Miller's having become president, but then when looking at the page a few days later, realized that the entire Shawn Miller entry should probably have been deleted. (It looks like someone else already removed the entry for "Angel.")
When you have a moment, could you please take a look and, if the entry for "Shawn Miller" was vandalism, could you please also remove that entry from the notable people list? The link for the comparison between the unidentified user's revisions to Denisarona's vandalism cleanup is here: https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Sunbury%2C_Pennsylvania&type=revision&diff=836235643&oldid=836235062
Thanks in advance for your help. 47thPennVols (talk) 00:12, 16 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hi 47thPennVols, yes its junk and I've removed. An "Oscar Winning Film Director" would have an article but Shawn Miller is an NFL player. Also the fact that you reverted the account "Shawnyboy321" would indicate Shawn Miller is the name of the person doing the vandalism. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 08:57, 16 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hi, User:KylieTastic. Thanks so much for your help and guidance. Just wanted to let you know I fixed another instance of vandalism on the Sunbury page this morning. Someone from 209.173.6.129, the IP address that appears to have committed a prior act of vandalism, undid your edit which removed the Shawn Miller entry. (In addition to adding that Shawn Miller entry again, this user also undid my prior removal of the "Shawn Miller 'won the 2048 election'" statement.) It appears that this page is under some sort of attack, for lack of a better word, by one or more people. Should the multiple instances of vandalism be reported to someone at Wikipedia, and if so, is that something you could do? (I'm wondering if some kind of a warning could be sent by Wikipedia to the offending User IPs.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47thPennVols (talk • contribs) 15:19, 16 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hi 47thPennVols, I have just added anther warning now at level 3 for the month. Note that its a school IP address and has been blocked on multiple occasions, that last one lasting for 3 years and recently ending. Some schools appear not to care. If you want to know more about anti-vandalism see Wikipedia:Vandalism and note that Wikipedia:Twinkle is the easiest way to add user warnings, and report to WP:AIV in they continue after a recent level 4 warning. It also allows you to request page protection easily WP:RPP if more than one account is active vandalising. If in doubt you can just ask for help at the Wikipedia:Teahouse. Hope that helps. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 15:31, 16 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hi User:KylieTastic|KylieTastic, Thanks so much for your help. (I had a hunch that the vandalism might have been caused by a student.) I'll definitely check out the resources. In the meantime, am hoping the block ends the vandalism to the Sunbury page. Have a great week! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47thPennVols (talk • contribs) 15:53, 16 April 2018 (UTC)
Re.: Correction
@KylieTastic: Hello. Regarding your 7th April amendment to 'Ajanta Caves', wouldn't an explanation or link to a relevant Wikipedia style-guide be more constructive and informative than the comment provided? People need to learn, after all. :) Muinn (talk) 22:39, 16 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Muinn, sorry that is one of the corrections with a generic edit summary that covers many reasons most of which are created by user who know but are just doing large numbers of changes and make the odd mistake. It's just the nature of the amount of work that we can't always fully explain things, note that is just one of ~2000 edits so far this month. If I notice the same name doing the same type of error more than one I would add more or leave them a message, or if they notice (and I assume most don't) and don't understand I would expect them to ask. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 09:07, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
- @KylieTastic: Understood – many thanks for the explanation. :) Muinn (talk) 00:05, 30 April 2018 (UTC)
IP user problem
This IP user consist of 83.136.45.131, 83.136.45.141 and 86.41.16.147 have been filling the articles related to MG and Rover with inaccurate information. For example he changing the production year of performance version of a vehicle such as a MG ZR which started production in 2001–2005 and merging it with the Rover 200 and 25 production year to 1995-2005. I don't know what to do other then reverting it manually
UPDATE: Okay I reverted the user's edit manually. This person must of disliked SAIC Motor acquirement of Rover and MG and was replacing with unsourced information. --Vauxford (talk) 09:47, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Vauxford, I have come across several users in the past that have dubiously changed production dates and models etc of cars. However many such articles are poorly sourced so its difficult to say if they are vandals, or just working from other data sources. Sometimes its because of working from a different country (the IPs listed above are Dublin and Cork). However if you are such its vandalism, and edits such as this do appear to be, then you should give them a warning. See Wikipedia:Vandalism and note that Wikipedia:Twinkle is the easiest way to add user warnings, and report to WP:AIV in they continue after a recent level 4 warning. However in this case these were all 10/11 April so its not an ongoing problem, so reverting and hoping they don't come back is the correct thing to do. Most vandals get bored very quickly, and those that done get longer and longer blocks. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 11:14, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
- No problem, I think I resolved all the edits they done but I will know that next time. Many thanks --Vauxford (talk) 12:06, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
SEEK Records
My links was updated now and now are not DEAD, this page is about good known record LABEL in years: 2005-2010 (internet was not so reach of articles about SEEK those time to proof like you want), plus firm interent sites does not work anymore like seekrecords.net or myspace/seekrecrods. Anyway...There was lot of releases WORLDWIDE what everybody can see at DISCOGS.com (music encyclopedia!!!) or YOUTUBE, so hope WIKIPEDIA will be more respectful for countries like Poland not only to German and other creators. Please for example look at KOMPAKT record label, from Germany. Okay they have more releases and good know producers and still working until these days, but seriously SEEK was the first Polish DIGITAL record label from this part of Europe and totally there must be proof on the encyclopedia that such a thing has taken place. Especially since the label was issued Philippe Zdar (CASSIUS) what u can see. World WIKI totally bans all articles, more than the national pages of WIKI, maybe u could tell my WHY? (TerazAlboNigdy (talk) 14:51, 23 April 2018 (UTC))
- Hi TerazAlboNigdy, I haven't re-reviewed Draft:SEEK Records as two other reviewers have already done so after myself. Note that being Polish has nothing to do with the declines. Articles like Kompakt may not pass notability and could be challenged and deleted if not - Other stuff exists is not a good argument, as it's more likely to get other articles removed than get yours approved. English Wikipedia has a set of Notability guidelines that ALL new articles must meet - in this case Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). There is no 'World Wiki' but yes English Wikipedia does tend to have more guidelines/rules than other languages, this maybe because other languages want to grow quicker, but when you reach the size of English Wikipedia you are more concerned about quality, and have more rules. However I can not see an article about SEEK records on Polish Wikipedia either. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 19:50, 23 April 2018 (UTC)
Hi KylieTastic You can not see on Polish wiki because it was a "past" record label, and known from MySpace which now sucks, and know from Beatport, and hard copies of magazines in Poland. But it was few years ago that means a huge time for these days living messages..and 2005 - 2010 was not a time for Polish internet (picture this).I dont know why can not see GRAND WIKIPEDIA RULES that DISCOGS is also an encyclopedic knowledge for all in music business. Is that any problems for you to see the PROOF..??? U can see all releases OUT THERE I dont totally understand your Notability standards. If u can see there was a releases so what the problem it is? There was. Label onto DISCOGS hangs. U only bans and not HELP ...WHY?(TerazAlboNigdy (talk) 14:55, 24 April 2018 (UTC))
- Hi TerazAlboNigdy, if they had articles that talked about them in Polish magazines that helps towards Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies), sources do not need to be online (it's just preferred). See Help:Referencing for beginners for adding references. As for Discogs, although like Wikipedia it is generally a reliable source it is still "a user-built discography site" so the information is not a reliable source. Anyone could add releases to Discogs and use that to justify a Wikipedia article, the same goes for IMDb. Notability is not about things existing (I'm sure they did) but it's a set of guidelines too decide which subjects merit there own article. I know of many companies that have done very important work around the world for important clients, but because no one has written about them they generally do not meet notability - in fact I work for such a company. It's just the way Wikipedia works Notability and Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) are the standards that are currently used for such articles. Either try adding more sources, or maybe try creating over on pl.wikipedia.org in Polish. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 19:51, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
Okay thank you for prompt answer, but why worldwide DJ MAG who is telling about SEEK, MODFUNK etc. is not enough to proof it is not quite good Notability - reliable source? It was hard copy article and now hangs online. To me it is a misunderstanding KylieTastic (TerazAlboNigdy (talk) 09:33, 25 April 2018 (UTC)).
- Hi TerazAlboNigdy, the DJ MAG ref is a reliable source but very short. If you look at "page in a nutshell" description of Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) it's the "significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources." that is the issue. The sources such as DJ MAG and Discogs show they existed and made releases, but not enough on there own for notability. The thing is is anyone of the 5 reviewers had accepted it, it would almost certainly been flagged for deletion. It's not about just convincing any of the reviewers personally, we only accept if we think we can defend against deletion by others. Sometimes it helps to get new opinions/input so maybe consider asking for help/advise at the Wikipedia:Teahouse where lots of experienced editors answer questions. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 20:48, 25 April 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for all information about bit complicated wiki system. BTW I will try to add some articles about SEEK from polish pages...maybe it will work enough..(TerazAlboNigdy (talk) 09:46, 26 April 2018 (UTC))to potential creator of a new article in eng wiki. Okay u cans say now that the name can be repeated, but it could be just
And to me one thing should be available: an option in tagging from all over the world national wikipedias (NAMES - PERSONS - ORGANIZATIONS) to add possibility of more reliable sources...okay U may say: name would be repeated...so to me would be another tag for example DAFT PUNK_PL a problem solved (TerazAlboNigdy (talk) 10:02, 26 April 2018 (UTC))
- Hi TerazAlboNigdy, an article can be, and hopefully is, repeated for each language Wikipedia (local guidelines allowing). In your example Daft Punk is on 58 different Wikipedias - See the "Languages" menu on the left hand side. This includes the Polish pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daft_Punk. So yes you can create the SEEK Records in the Polish Wikipedia, and if more sources to show notability are found maybe here sometime. All the best, and I wish you all the best with your Polish article KylieTastic (talk) 19:54, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
Please Stop messaging me
I have not edited anything and I keep getting messages that I am doing "vandalizing" edits. I just wanted to let you know I don't have an account. This is not me so please stop messaging me.

- Hi 96.66.88.25, I was just one five editors that left warning messages, but these were for activities by your IP address in October 2017 and February 2018. I would assume you have probably been assigned an IP address that used to belong whoever did those edits. Don't worry we understand IP addresses get re-assigned and the old warnings where not aimed at you. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 16:26, 23 April 2018 (UTC)

How to switch this article to the French Wikipedia? Thank you
Charles Morizot (talk) 14:03, 25 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Charles Morizot each language Wikipedia works separately with different rules so you'll have to re-create manually on fr.wikipedia.org/. Note your account (username/password) should work there as well. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 14:18, 25 April 2018 (UTC)
Hi, thank you for reviewing the article. Could you help delete it permanently? Having done more extensive research, I do not think the subject is sufficiently notable at this time. Many thanks! Arjun Dhar (talk) 11:28, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Arjun Dhar, I have fixed up the self deletion request you added, it should now deleted by an admin. If there become notable in the future and you wish to continue you can always ask for a WP:REFUND, or just start again. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 13:05, 26 April 2018 (UTC)

Request on 08:08:33, 27 April 2018 for assistance on AfC submission by Breggen
Hello,
Please look at the extensive article on the German Wikipedia, URL https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitzewellen_in_Europa_2015
I have currently not the time to translate this myself, I would like to create at least a small piece that references the German version.
Are there any auto-translation tools available which could at least produce a draft version which could then be hand-edited ?
Best wishes, Bernd
Breggen (talk) 08:08, 27 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Breggen, I don't think there are any tools to auto translate to a good enough level and direct 'google' translations are likely to be flagged for deletion. However you can use google as a guide page google translation. You could just do a Stub article with enough references to show notability. From a quick look at the German article it does look like there should be enough sources to justify the article. You can also add to the top to draw attention to it needed further translation. Some links that might help: Wikipedia:Translating German Wikipedia and Wikipedia talk:German-speaking Wikipedians' notice board. You can also ask for advice at the Wikipedia:Teahouse where you'll get more people seeing any question. You can also ask for you previous draft back if that would help at WP:REFUND. Hope that helps, Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 08:36, 27 April 2018 (UTC)
Torch/Flashlight
Wikpedia currently carries a US English Title and for this Topic and appears to be aggressively defending it. The Oxford Dictionary sides with Torch- a portable means of illumination, acknowledging the US word of "FLASHLIGHT" as an alternative despite this being used initially as a product description by manufacturer. Changing this would seem to be the correct thing to do. The word Torch, is, it seems , being adopted in US English to describe a Stick with with combustible material at one end, which is up to the US. However, if Wikpedia is genuinely to become a world resource, the world -wide name in use should take preference. Until this is the case, Wikpedia should carry a Language disclaimer at the forefront of any definition that the dominant content in Wikpedia will be US English and that the Definitions contained are only appropriate to The US. WIKPEDIA should also stop asking for donations from outside the US if they wish only to serve the one Language and region.
The same would be said in the Petrol vs Gasoline argument. More countries around the world say Petrol Rather than Gasoline but guess which one Wikpedia uses.
Often busy with Work.....? not when someone edits Flashlight though ???
https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/torch
https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/torch
torch (plural torches)
A stick with a flame on one end, used chiefly as a light source; a similarly shaped implement with a replaceable supply of flammable material. The mob of angry villagers carried torches and pitchforks to the vampire's castle. THE US
(Britain, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa) A portable light source powered by electricity; a flashlight. - The Majority of English speaking Countries........
Ernst slipped and dropped his torch on the flagstones, shattering the bulb and plunging us into darkness. (slang, US) An arsonist. Short form for blowtorch or oxy-gas torch — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.5.97.181 (talk) 15:06, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
- 82.5.97.181 this is just one of many articles that causes issues like this, others are in British English and Americans try to assert there spelling (such as Plough). I also frequently have had to revert Americans changing colour > color, grey > gray, sulphate > sulfate etc. To stop articles being swapped back and forth and often introducing errors (which is why I usually notice the change), we have the guideline MOS:ENGVAR. You are free to argue the case on the talk page.
- Yes the British English dictionaries use Torch, and whatever the American English dictionaries are I assume use Flashlight - this is not news to anyone.
- "Wikpedia should carry a Language disclaimer at the forefront" The leed in Flashlight mentions torch, as Plough mentions plow.
- If the majority of countries do use Torch that would be a reason to cite in a request to move the article on the talk page, however you would need to provide citations as I have no idea if that's true. Also many countries with English as a second language often prefer American English.
- Wikipedia is a collaboration, and we all have to compromise. Most do, only the few such as yourself come insisting your correct without discussion, without care for the guidelines, without citing any sources apart from the blatantly obvious that the Oxford and Collins dictionaries are British English. You've been reverted by 5 different editors, of which 2 are Brits, and one appears Swedish... so it's but US vs the world.
- If you care so much discuss on the talk page. I couldn't care less either way, as long as its by consensus and more importantly does not introduce errors (broken sources, links, images etc). KylieTastic (talk) 16:20, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
17:03:15, 29 April 2018 review of submission by SKPal KGP
There is already a wiki page on Bimal Chandra [1] which is incomplete. Dr. Bimal Chandra was my uncle and a close friend of my father-in-law Mr. Brojen Das [2]. What ever is written about him is true; however, due to poor record keeping most of his news paper articles are lost. But I have got many rare pictures of Dr. Chandra which are more than 60 years old. I do understand the importance of authentic references, but in this case other than pictures I don't have much. Please suggest what can be done, my uncle was a champion swimmer and the second Indian to cross the English Channel. SKPal KGP (talk) 17:03, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hi SKPal KGP, if Bimal Chandra is the same person then you should edit that article, however Wikipedia does require reliable sources. Also Wikipedia does not allow original research which this sounds like, and you need to be aware of the Conflict of interest guidelines. Without references, this is just "true" base on what you have been told by family and friends and thus not a Neutral point of view. It may well be true but without sources we cannot verify. Sometimes unfortunately references just don't exist, but Wikipedia cannot just publish anonymous people on the internet claim is true, for every true article there would be many more just made up. Sorry, I know you would like to honour your uncle but all key information on Wikipedia needs to be Verifiable. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 17:25, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
Templates with Missing Files
Hi Kylie! I was just glancing at Category:Templates with missing files after having cleared the articles category yesterday. Since you seem to be the person who's worked on clearing the categories the most, I thought you'd probably be the appropriate person to ask this. If the broken image in the template is what's causing it to appear, is the right way to correct the issue just to delete the image? For example, in Template:Portal/doc/all, the Ohama portal image seems to be what's causing the issues. However, I can't find any specific edit which caused the breakage, so would deleting the image be the appropriate way to fix it in that case? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I've worked on the articles with missing files template as you've seen, but have no experience with the template aspect as you can probably tell lol.
Btw, I love your username! I'm a big Kylie fan as well, so it's nice to meet someone else with good taste in music. :) Thank you so much in advance! Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 14:13, 30 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Katniss for issues with Templates with missing files like most things it depends. Some are the same as Articles with missing files i.e. vandalism, or invalid edits need reverting; deleted images need removing, or replacing if appropriate; in the case of Template:Portal/doc/all the root file locations (e.g. Module:Portal/images/o) are protected so you need to add an edit request to Template talk:Portal for example my last request. It's always better with portals to be able to suggest a replacement, so I usually look at the portal page itself to start, but as Portal:Omaha does not exist suggesting it be deleted is probably best. Note that once a template image error is fixed sometimes you have to do a WP:NULLEDIT to articles to clear the error flagged on the articles that use the template. Happy to help, and happy to have someone else looking at those cats, so feel free to ask if you have any other questions. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 14:31, 30 April 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks, Kylie! I just made edit requests for the all templates which are showing up in the category, hopefully I did it properly. Only one I didn't make a request for is Template:Routemap/testcases, as for some reason I'm not seeing what's causing the issue. I was particularly amused though by this one Template:Basmane-Alaşehir, as in my 3+ years on Wikipedia I don't think I've ever seen any template/article so messed up. I mean I've seen some pretty mucked-up articles, but that one looks like an explosion went off or something lol. Happy to help when I can as well, and nice to meet you! I'll be sure to ask if I have any issues that I could use your fantastic (or should I say KylieTastic?) advice on. All the best, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 22:17, 30 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Katniss you only have to make edit requests for pages that are projected that need admin, or template editor permissions to edit. Your portal request on Template talk:Portal/doc/all should really have been on Template talk:Portal so it was refused as I don't think they realised the image was defined at Module:Portal/images/o is protected - I have re-requested Template_talk:Portal#Ohama. I Agree that Template:Basmane-Alaşehir looked like a huge mess so it would be difficult to know how to start unless your very familiar with the template abd route map markup. Although L293D marked the edit request as not done, they did sort out the mess anyway (not that its a used template). Template:User reigns over a micronation does not actually reference the file direct, but uses Template:Uir which will use the 'region' parameter to generate a file name if the 'image' parameter is not included, so I added one here - It's a bit of a worthless template that really probably should be deleted, because I doubt any real micronation ruler would edit Wikipeida. However there is a community of people who make up micronations, but as long as they are not adding them to actual Wikipedia articles no harm is done. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 12:51, 1 May 2018 (UTC)
Hi KylieTastic, ah that was my bad then, totally misread your message to mean you needed to add an edit request to all templates that you are removing images from. Thanks for fixing all those! Did make a request to this one and the response I got is "they're supposed to be broken" which I'm admittedly a bit confused about? The only other template left in the cat is Template:Basketball kit which I've made an edit request for here. Thanks for answering all my questions, I feel a bit silly having to edit like a newbie again given I've been editing on Wikipedia nearly four years now. Cheers, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 19:47, 1 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hey Katniss no worries, we're all still learning.... I regularly keep coming upon new things, or people pointing out polices I'd not come across before. Anything that is done with good intent, and ends up in the right conclusion is just fine. As for Template:Biochem reaction arrow alt text/testcases I would prefer to have no errors flagged, and in the past I've created images to clear items, but technically it's not causing an issue. It seams the list is all possibility, but they have only created the ones likely to be needed. I would create if I was sure what they should be... maybe one day I'll look into it. As for the error showing on Template:Basketball kit I haven't found it (list is too big) but I think it may just be a false error and just need a null edit, as a missing file in that set would normally cause multiple templates to error. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:59, 1 May 2018 (UTC)
Hey Kylie, thanks, that makes sense. The issue with Template:Basketball kit (I linked it in the edit request above) is that there's a broken template Template:Football kit/pettern showing up in the article. One issue I wanted to quick run past you is one with certain highway pages. For example on List of state highways in Montana, I can see the error is that the image for S-474 is broken, yet when I click edit I'm not even seeing that any image is there in the table. Have noticed this now on several different highway pages, in another example what I just tried to do on my sandbox. The 60px redlink at the top of the table clearly shows there's an issue with a broken image, yet upon clicking edit I can't see any broken image or file name in the table. (Hopefully my question makes sense, I'm not sure if I'm explaining what I mean right). Thanks, and good to know I'm not alone in my learning process. I promise I'm usually much more familiar with Wikipedia than this lol. Cheers, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 20:12, 1 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hey Katniss many templates auto generate image file names, in this case Template:Routelist row which does have a property "noshield=true" that will true of the image for a row - However the road fan community are very hot on making images if possible - you can request they make any US based shields at WP:USRD/S/R (nice guys) - if you look at the page history I've made a few requests ;) .... but also I've made a lot of the images over on commons. Oh and I noticed the messy change at Façade pattern and I don't agree with the move and their comment "It's only spelt "façade" as the article sources and dictionaries I checked use Facade - however you may not have noticed the editor is an admin (which makes the messy change a bit odd). I still think the page should be reverted back fully, but in the current state the commons cat link is now broken, and the ref titles are wrong. I would fix but I'm heading offline now as I'm exhausted. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 20:50, 1 May 2018 (UTC)
Hi Kylie, thanks for making those requests! :) I'll try to look into when I get a chance, that unfortunately may not necessarily be soon as I have a super busy real-life. Oh, I don't agree with that move either, and the fact that an admin would make such sloppy changes is even more surprising. You're more than welcome to revert me, to be honest it didn't seem like a huge deal to me and the admin's passive-agressive edit summary "People need to learn how to type diacritics on their keyboards" makes me not really want to have to deal with them on a somewhat minor issue. However I hadn't noticed they moved several articles (without discussion/consensus, which I find especially surprising for an admin who should know the policies better than that), so that isn't acceptable as like you said the commons link is now broken and they screwed up a bunch of ref titles. I'm pretty sleepy myself and thus not thinking clearly, so I can try to look into it later if I get a chance. You're welcome to fix as well if you get to it first. :) Cheers, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 21:08, 1 May 2018 (UTC)
Hi again Kylie, just wanted to follow-up and let you know I looked more into the edit and 100% agree with your comments about the move. As an admin, I am very surprised that they wouldn't have looked up sources or at the very least opened a discussion on the talk page. It's fully reverted back now, and I dropped a note on their talk page. You're welcome to add on or chime in to if you have anything to add to what I said. Cheers, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 19:19, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Katniss OK thanks for the heads-up. Note that I've put in a request (here) for a file to be undeleted that is causing Template:Vandalism information/gallery and its sub pages to be flagged up, and causing similar errors on some users pages. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:32, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
Thanks. Made a request for List of state highways in Montana here, which just leaves AH46 as the only (currently) remaining file in the category. No idea where I would report an Asian Highway though, as whatever's wrong seems to be embedded in the infobox. Cheers, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 22:03, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Katniss normally the road infoboxes have shields in a set naming convention, I'm not sure if AH46 was configured wrong (as its complex layers of templates and modules) or the files named wrong. I checked some of the other roads in the set and they didn't have infoboxes. So for now I forced it to use the manual override to for the image. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 22:16, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
new articles?
where can i write new articles? --Fozaec (talk) 22:42, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Fozaec - Draft is the correct place to write a new article as a new user. So you could continue to work on Draft:Tremor (Call of Duty map) where it is, however all articles need to show 'notability' by meeting the criteria of Wikipedia:Notability or one of its sub standards. In this case I doubt a Call of Duty map is notable on its own. See Wikipedia:Your first article for for information of writing articles. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 22:48, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

- Hi Fozaec, I suggest looking at other articles about similar subjects. In this case Wikipeida is not a directory of everyone, it's not social media. In this case they would have to pass the guidelines Wikipedia:Notability (people). Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 23:03, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

- Hi 180.191.151.104 for the larger answer to "What should I do now" see Welcome to Wikipedia and Wikipedia:Contributing to Wikipedia. As for what articles need to be created it depends what you are interested in? even after years I still haven't created any as all the subjects I'm interested in exist or are not Notable. However, we do have a list of requests: see Wikipedia:Requested articles Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 08:45, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
Hi Kylie - have resubmitted for SD, for the same reasons as previously. By all means remove/contest if you disagree, but I think it's better to leave the review in place. Regards. KJP1 (talk) 07:50, 5 May 2018 (UTC)
Article reference rejection
Hello, I am writing in as I do not fully understand the rejection of the article <Video Star> I have written for. It is a Television Program, and I simply wanted to write an English version of it. It is not an educational article, just a TV Program page I have translated from Korean to English.
I sourced and referenced the article based on the already-published Korean Wikipedia page of the show itself: https://ko.wikipedia.org/wiki/%EB%B9%84%EB%94%94%EC%98%A4%EC%8A%A4%ED%83%80 (비디오스타/Video Star) Unless I should have credited this as reference below?
I also did not think that references at the bottom of the page was necessary as I had looked to other already-published Wiki pages of such shows: e.g. Radio Star https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Radio_Star_(TV_series) e.g MBC Plus https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/MBC_Plus As they are pages about a TV program/broadcasting station without any references below as well
Thank you for your time, and please do let me know what specifically I should include in the page.Jasminelep (talk) 12:26, 6 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Jasminelep, each language Wikipedia has different guidelines, so the in the Korean language version this may be acceptable - I believe in the past English Wikipedia also had lower standards for inclusion. However now all articles must show Notablity and this needs to be show with independent reliable sources so they can be verified. All articles without references are up for possible deletion - but with over 5.5 million articles yes there are still many old articles that do not reach the current guidelines. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 12:35, 6 May 2018 (UTC)
Hello thank you for kindly explaining it to me, I understand it now. I have also just added 3 reference links to the page. I would appreciate it if you could look through it again, thank you.Jasminelep (talk) 12:42, 6 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Jasminelep, thanks for adding references and resubmitting. It has been added back to the pending submissions, but we do have a lot currently so will be checked when a reviewer gets around to it. To be fair to all submitters I don't re-review on request, I just pick new and old submissions at random, so it may or may not be myself who reviews it next. Hello KylieTastic. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Skyler Lexx, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: producing recordings for notable artists is a sufficient claim of significance. Thank you. SoWhy 12:02, 6 May 2018 (UTC)
Dar Al Shifa Hospital
Hello dear, i created a page for Dar Al Shifa Hospital which is a well known and first private hospital in Kuwait. I tried to add the requested references and I have a lot of articles written about it in Kuwaiti newspapers. but it goes to external links. please help me. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hana S. Zaki (talk • contribs) 12:05, 6 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Hana S. Zaki add the reference at the section it applies to, then it will automatically appear in the reference section (where the reflist is). I would move to show you, but I don't read Arabic and google translate has issues with PDF translation. If you have more articles from Kuwaiti newspapers add those as well. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 12:17, 6 May 2018 (UTC)
I added another English article in the reference space and after saving it goes again to the external links! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hana S. Zaki (talk • contribs) 12:33, 6 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Hana S. Zaki add the reference next to the text in the actual article that the reference covers i.e.
- Statement about a subject
- I would move to show you, but I can't see any text in the article about the subject in the reference. References are not just to show a subject exists, but the show the claims made in the text are accurate. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 12:43, 6 May 2018 (UTC)
- I did it . Appreciate your support . Could you please check it if the article is acceptable?
- Hi Hana S. Zaki glad you worked it out, and happy to help new editors work out the technical issues. However, to be fair to all submitters I don't re-review on request, I just pick new and old submissions at random, so it may or may not be myself who reviews it next. Also I'm going offline for a bit as it's a lovely sunny day here in the UK which makes a change from all the rain. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 13:19, 6 May 2018 (UTC)

You have reverted the edit which I corrected. Before correction description for the image was Spot-bellied Jungle owl, which is wrong. Kyle - this info was from the US government site https://awards.navy.mil/awards/webapp01.nsf/(vwAwardsDisp)/AW-10052085N4N9?OpenDocument which is not copyrighted. Please show me if you think otherwise.
Thanks,
Robert
- Hi Rgbrownii it came up as a direct copy of http://ussrich.org/medals/navy_sea_service.html - however that is probably a copy with invalid copyright notice. However even if it is from a government site Wikipedia generally does not allow straight copying see Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources. I'm aware that much of the government information is not copyrighted, but that page does not indicate a licence, and it may require specific attribution - one from Category:United States government attribution templates I guess Template:USNAVY. However it is also not written in the same style as the rest of the article, and would fit better and avoid any possible legal issues by trimming down the criteria and re-writing. Propanoic Acid
Hello Kylie,
Actually, in fact, I am a chemist who happens to know that the true name is indeed, propanoic acid. Propionic acid is a misleading name for an otherwise simple compound that has confused many students in the past, and will continue to confuse them in the future. Something MUST be done about this falsity. It is a shame that the author who submitted this has mistakenly taken to use the "nickname" of this compound. It is comparable to saying that "Teflon" is the actual chemical name for polytetrafluoroethylene. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Josephsyoon (talk • contribs) 23:06, 7 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Josephsyoon as the lead says it is known by both names (as well as others) - however most the sources support the current name ChEBI, ChEMBL, ChemSpider, European Chemicals Agency, National Center for Biotechnology Information, etc. Asserting your own personal preference is not good, but the https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Propionic_acid&diff=840130117&oldid=833762957 edit] also broke several images, wiki-links, commons cats, etc. Many things in the world or different countries, different languages mean things have multiple names, the majority of sources support the existing name. If you think there is good evidence/resources to support a change bring it up on the talk page. KylieTastic (talk) 23:44, 7 May 2018 (UTC)
Draft:PJSIP
Thanks for reviewing and imporving Draft: PJSIP. However RHaworth merely deleted it without making any improvement and notification. I want to edit it to satisfy wiki terms and conditions, but the page is gone. Can you help me get it back? Thanks in advance. FYI, I edited wiki articles a few times, however this is my first time creating a one. Jychen1987 (talk) 01:05, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Jychen1987 it was deleted for the reason "G12: Unambiguous copyright infringement of http://www.pjsip.org/about.htm" - unfortunately copyright is a serious legal issue so we have to delete content that infringes as soon as possible. In some cases you can request deleted articles be returned to work on via WP:REFUND however not in the case of copyright infringement. If there was a significant amount of non copied text (I can not see as I'm not an admin) you could ask RHaworth if they could give you a copy of the article without the copyrighted text, or as per their user page they may be willing to email you a copy (if you enabled email communication Special:Preferences). Hope that helps, KylieTastic (talk) 09:03, 8 May 2018 (UTC)

Teahouse invites to WP:ORGNAME violators
First off, thanks for all the work you do reviewing AFC/draft material. I know it is a severely backlogged area and needs a all the help it can get.
I’ve been trying to reach out to folks who do a lot of AFC reviews about the practice of sending automatic invites to accounts with obviou ORGNAME violations. It seems kind of inconsistent to invite someone to the teahouse when at the same time you are reporting their username to be blocked. I have been told that there is an option to uncheck the teahouse invite when declining. Beeblebrox (talk) 21:41, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hey Beeblebrox, I see how it can be considered as inconsistent. However to be honest, I guess I usually review and decline before I notice the submitters name - so the decline+teahouse invite is separate from the subsequent user name violation report (I should pay more attention and/or drink less). However I would also consider it AGF in the same way that the block notice invites them to create a personal account and not do promotional/COI edits. Most people I've known in real life who show an interest in editing first suggest such COI types of edits, so I'm not sure having an extra 'friendly' notice before the block is a bad thing. I certainly see both sides, and I'll keep it in mind, and defo for the more promotional articles, but I do think if you AGF a bit of extra friendliness just before the more negative block is not necessarily a bad thing, even if a bit inconsistent. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 22:02, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
Banners
Hi KylieTastic, me again. :D I was looking at your 'User talk' page and noticed that the banner says 'It is approximately 2.14 p.m. where this user lives'. As a U.K.-resident myself I know it's currently 1.13 in the morning.
Is this a glitch or do I need to delete cookies? It's correct on the 'editing user talk' page, for some reason. Many thanks!
I realise that this is not very important in the great scheme of things. :p Muinn (talk) 00:13, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Muinn, I believe it's to do with caching but it's odd that it showed 2:14pm as that really old and I thought that page caching times weren't that long. The one on the editing page I would guess is correct because the page is 'new'. Unfortunately it's just the way Wikipedia works, the time can be updated with the 'refresh' button on the side, but this i less user friendly these days as you have to go via another page to confirm. most of the time it appears to be quite up-to-date, but sometimes.... ahhh. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 11:23, 13 May 2018 (UTC)

John Paul Fauves
Hello Kylie, today you reviewed my article for John Paul Fauves, and after someone deleted it. Can you please guide me what I should do. Also I am trying to submit new review from Paulette magazine written by Juliette Minel ( CODIF 04919 - 40 ). Would highly appreciate your assistance, John Paul is well known internationally and did tons of group and solo shows. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Julia mji (talk • contribs) 02:45, 15 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Julia mji I didn't actually review any article, I did make an edit to Draft:John Paul Fauves to tidy up the references, and all-though this has been tagged for a WP:G4 speedy delete it has not yet been deleted. WP:G4 is for articles that were previously deleted via discussion and haven't been changed. So if you think more sources are now available since the delete on 17 August 2017 you can use the "Contest" button on the notice to say you plan to do so. Since this is a draft, and not live, I would think this was acceptable. However you would need new sources to meet the standards set in WP:BIO noting section WP:ARTIST. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 09:04, 15 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Julia mji... well that timing sucks... it's just been deleted! As I didn't actually review the references, I can't say if I think it could be made acceptable. If you have only one more reference that probably not. Just because someone does "tons of group and solo shows" does not count, only if they were notable, i.e. did people write significant reviews of the shows? 09:00:11, 16 May 2018 review of submission by Tristanmulhall
Hi, I've made the necessary edits and changes to the article - it took a lot of time and work! It should be much clearer now CR2 is a worthy and notable addition to Wikipedia as it not only a top-15 leading fin-tech in Ireland, but also historically a global leading provider of banking software - especially in the developing world. Thanks. Tristanmulhall (talk) 09:00, 16 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Tristanmulhall thanks for the updates, and yes writing good articles is definitely something that takes a lot of time and work and something to be proud of. Note that to be fair to all submitters I don't re-review on request, I just pick new and old submissions at random, so it may or may not be myself who reviews it next. However, the backlog has been decreasing recently, so hopefully not too long. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 10:11, 16 May 2018 (UTC)

These conventions apply regardless of publisher preference. You also reverted the ISO abbreviation to the incorrect one, and removed the MathSciNet abbreviation. Please exercise more case in the future. Cheers. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 21:34, 16 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Headbomb for some reason I was mentally not treating journal names as "works", more of an organisation or trademark the published under the same - but I agree I think that was an unjustified mental bias on my part. Also I wasn't thinking "its" was a pronoun (I had to look that up) and assumed it was like and, or, it, to, etc. and would not capitalised. Apologies for completely missing the abbreviation changes, silly mistake! Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 10:28, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, 'Its' is something I had to look up in the past myself. Lots of people omit it from capitalization rules because it's such a short word, but that's a house style more than proper title casing. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 12:33, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
Draft:Criminals (2018 Webdrama)
TechvitalCompitar: My page is deleted by you because there is no sources... I am adding sources to the site but there are are none as the page is newly created and the show hasn't started yet, please give me a few months grace, thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by TechvitalCompitar (talk • contribs) 12:46, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi TechvitalCompitar you article Draft:Criminals (2018 Webdrama) has not been deleted, and yes you can continue to work on it over months if needed - that is what the Draft area is for. However, I think you may misunderstand what is required to sources/references, they are things written by others about your subject (see Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources). Also Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia of things that exist that are notable, and not a way to promote new things - that is what social media is for. If the project is a success, and people write about it then it may be suitable for a Wikipedia article. As also this is your own project you must read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Regards and good luck with your project. KylieTastic (talk) 13:28, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
Can I place it to normal state than draft mode? -TechvitalCompitar — Preceding unsigned comment added by TechvitalCompitar (talk • contribs) 14:24, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi TechvitalCompitar No - as I said Wikipedia is not for promotion (See WP:NOTPROMOTION) and all articles must show WP:Notability, and have WP:Verifiability using reliable sources. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 14:28, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
But it is not a promotion, it is just for preview -TechvitalCompitar — Preceding unsigned comment added by TechvitalCompitar (talk • contribs) 15:23, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
- TechvitalCompitar previews are promotional, it's promoting the show that hasn't yet started by getting information published about it on one of the worlds most popular websites. However don't worry about the word 'promotional' its more about the Wikipedia policies - and Wikipedia is for article about things that are already notable and have been written about, etc by multiple reliable independent sources. Have you own website, have social media for it but it's not yet suitable for Wikipedia. Cheers KylieTastic (talk)

I am so distressed--I thought I paraphrased acceptably. I did not reference just one article and took concepts from them all. They all say the same things basically. As God is my witness I can find one sentence that I neglected to enclose in quotes, but I am missing what else you are referring to. I am genuinely confused. Please help me figure out how to rephrase them properly! I really want to do well on this article and I was totally blown away by this assertion. Jenhawk777 (talk) 17:32, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Jenhawk777, no reason to be distressed - I'm such most people find paraphrasing really difficult, I certainly do. However there is a limit to what can be quoted (Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing). As MOS:QUOTE says "Brief quotations of copyrighted text may be used", and I'm assuming this is copyrighted as I could not find and indication of a free licence. If you look at this (it may take a moment to run) you'll see everything after Richardson says in that section is almost identical, and too long for a direct quote. Don't be distressed just have another crack at it. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 17:42, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
Uh-oh! I use long quotes often. I'm not supposed to even if I set it off as a block quote? I thought that must have been what I did wrong--that I put it in quotes but not a blockquote so I went back and did that. I can't use it at all? Jenhawk777 (talk) 19:48, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
- Two of those references were in quotes. Can I not use them at all? Can I put the phrases in quotes or do they have to be changed too? Jenhawk777 (talk) 19:53, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Jenhawk777, like many of these things on Wikipedia they are just guidelines not rules and everyone has slightly different interpretations. However in general as per MOS:QUOTE they should be brief. Longer quotes probably can be used but only when they could not be paraphrased and the whole thing has importance as a statement. For instance you'll find a few quotes on Winston Churchill and similar historic figures where there speeches were deemed powerful and thus the exact words and not just the content have value. However you'll notice they are mostly in quote boxes to be very clear they are quotes, and I think still shorter than this case. Some probably would also judge how much of the article is quotes as an indicator, so in your case they are a much higher percentage of the text than say on Winston Churchill. Hope that makes sense, but if you want other opinions you could ask at the Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk or the Wikipedia:Teahouse. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:58, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
- Two of those references were in quotes. Can I not use them at all? Can I put the phrases in quotes or do they have to be changed too? Jenhawk777 (talk) 19:53, 17 May 2018 (UTC)

I have been on Wikipedia a year now and this is my first article and it has already been quite a learning experience. I think I understand what you are getting at now. - I don't mean to sound like I am arguing with you, I'm just a little flummoxed! I accept that you know what you are talking about--I just didn't know what you know. I have been on Wikipedia a year now and this is my first article and it has already been quite a learning experience. I think I understand what you are getting at now. I will try to fix it as you have suggested. May I contact you again to look it over and see if I've done it correctly when I'm done? Jenhawk777 (talk) 20:10, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Jenhawk777 if you disagree you are more than welcome to just re-submit, and I would leave for another reviews input. It is just my opinion, but I've seen several articles deleted after acceptance due to copyright concerns and I wouldn't want that to happen because I had accepted. I would look to see if you can reduce the amount of quote, even if you just split into more parts with a bit more paraphrasing. Also the section starting "The third and concluding section" has a lot of direct copy before the actual quoted second half, so you could tweak the wording of that. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 20:19, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
- I won't resubmit without at least trying to work on what you suggested. I have no doubt your advice is good and well meant. I'm just discouraged right now since this is the second rejection--but down the road I will be glad of it--I know. I would hate for it to be deleted after being accepted too. So I'll work on it. Just probably not today. Thank you really--I'm glad you caught this, and once again I have learned something new about Wikipedia. I will stop falling on my face eventually--right? Jenhawk777 (talk) 21:52, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hey Jenhawk777, I think we have something in common, I take everything to heart in a negative way more than I should where as others manage to get punched hard in the face over and over and just smile because they got there in the end. I've been working on a new article for a year and a half as I find the creation and paraphrasing so damn hard. You only have to look at the history of some Good articles and they had rocky starts. I've also seen article be deleted multiple times, before becoming not just acceptable but quality content. Building articles from nothing that are more than just trivial too write easily notable stubs is hard, and the journey maybe discouraging but focus on the goal. I've heard that in commercial writing, be it news, books, scientific papers it is way harder and harsher... not something I could ever do. There is no target date here, so you can work in your own time. Just remember its not criticism, just feedback. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 22:10, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
- Bless you. Thank you. I needed to hear that. I will focus on getting there in the end. It's okay if it is criticism. It's how we learn, I understand--it just hadn't occurred to me this might be a multiple rejection effort--so now I know, and I will gear up. I will do as you have suggested. I will, and whatever the next person suggests, and the next, and so on, until this article is all it should be. I won't give up because this was an important book that shifted the paradigm in early Christian history and in feminism. There needs to be an article about it--preferably one with not too many quotes. :-) Thank you. And thank you some more. Jenhawk777 (talk) 22:21, 17 May 2018 (UTC)

Adding a Page
Hey Kylie, I'm struggling to upload a page for the band i work with in SA. There seems to be a copyright issue as a booking agency has our bio on their page and thats part of what we bring to upload. Please can you assist me? All of the info we want to put up was generated by us.
Take care, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Red Sheeran (talk • contribs) 12:22, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi [User:Red Sheeran|Red Sheeran]] if you work with them then you must read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest first. Also note that a band would need to meet the following notability guideline Wikipedia:Notability (music). If you think they do and you have independent reliable sources to show this then you should be able to create the page via Wikipedia:Articles for creation. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:28, 18 May 2018 (UTC)

Ive posted a new article for actor Jimmy Noonan... It was rejected due to your claim that IMBD is not a valid reference for some reason. ?
Kylie, IMBD is repeatedly used as a reference all over Wikipedia. Thats why i chose it. Please tell me what Filmography website I should reference from if you are not a fan of IMBD? This is a famous actor who has made movies with John Cusak, Robert Dinero and many great stars. IMBD is referenced all over Wikepedia. I referenced every word of my article. I had much more i wanted to add but no reference no approval. So sadly half of his career is missing. 72.239.170.229 (talk) 05:31, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi 72.239.170.229, see Wikipedia:Citing IMDb - basically anyone can edit IMDB such as they can Wikipedia, self editing sources are not considered reliable sources. So although you can use IMDB it's not enough to show notability (see Wikipedia:Notability (people)). Many roles credited on IMDB are for very minor parts and unless they are a lead role it can me impossible to tell from a cast list if it was a notable part. Generally if they are notable there will also be other references you can use. Lastly there is a huge difference to working with famous actors on a film or just being in the same film as a minor part so if your talking about Robert Dinero in Guilty by Suspicion he is only listed on IMDB as "FBI Agent (uncredited)", so not a notable role. hope that helps explain things, try to find other sources. But I can see you didn't add an independent source only the subjects own website patriotwildlifecontrol.com, independent sources to add before re-submitting. Hi Kylie
You declined my submission at Articles for creation: 2017 Xinmo landslide (May 19) because it should have been submitted to Articles for creation/Redirects, but this page doesn't exist. Could you please advice on the correct procedure that I should follow to get this redirect? Thanks! G.scaringi (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 06:55, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi G.scaringi, so sorry about that I should have noticed the link failed! It's Wikipedia:Articles_for_creation/Redirects - to be honest I'm not sure why it's a separate procedure, but I've seen other reviewers decline saying not suitable - I can't see any problem with that being a redirect though. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 11:18, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi KylieTastic, thanks a lot, I went through the right procedure now. Cheers G.scaringi (talk) 12:53, 20 May 2018 (UTC)

- Hi Heeshala25, your own message gives a clue - Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia about subjects that are already notable - If the "Tv show has just started yearsterday" then it may not yet be notable, but some shows are written about a lot just the day after they are out if they are big. Hopefully more people will write reviews soon and you will be able to show the show is notable. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 14:07, 20 May 2018 (UTC)

National India Highways
Hi Kylie, hope all is well with you. I've been attempting to fix the image issue on National Highway 127B (India) though your little 'marker_image' trick (which has been incredibly helpful btw, so thanks!) doesn't appear to be working with this one and I'm not seeing why the image isn't showing up. The same issue is also occuring with National Highway 702B (India), though I wanted to see if you had any suggestions on how to fix it before trying anything else and spamming up the article history. Cheers, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 20:01, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hey Katniss glad to see your still pluggin' away at improving our little project ;) It's been really good to have someone helping at Category:Articles with missing files again... it's been a while, and it's aloud me to spend time on helping clear the AfC backlog (finally down below 1000 for the first time in ages!). As for the two Indian highways I just created the images as it was the easiest thing for me to do (I have a few now in my commons uploads c:Special:ListFiles/KylieTastic. So all sorted again \o/ Hope you well, all the best KylieTastic (talk) 20:18, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
Hi Kylie, always happy to help. For the future (I don't know how easy this is to explain), how do you go about creating those files? I've run into quite a few of those missing highway files now, and I hate to bug you to create the file every time on one of those articles. Hope my question makes sense, still learning so I never know if I'm explaining stuff right lol. Cheers, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 20:52, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hey Katniss some of them have templates on commons, some I just base of of others, and you have to be comfortable with an image editor (I just Inkscape for SVGs and Paint.net for all others, but any will do (and that's PC, no idea on macs). I tend to only do non US ones as the US road geeks tend to be deeper into exact spec research and its easier just to ask them at WP:USRD/S/R, but you can ask for non US ones to be created at WP:HWY/RM. Note they even have a Roadgeek font you need for some to get close, but not have copyright issues. If you are interested in learning and want more input then the guys on the Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads would be the experts around here. It's always good to learn new things, and it's good to have editors who are interested, so always happy to help. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 21:05, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
Hey Kylie, unfortunately I have a Mac and I'm not particularly familiar with any image editing software. I've got some busy real-life stuff coming up, so now probably wouldn't be the best time to look into it (tbh I tend to be a bit ditzy when it comes to complicated technology stuff lol). However I definitely would be interested in learning sometime in the future, so I'll consult with the road geeks when my real-life calms down a bit. In the meantime I'll consult with WP:HWY/RM or you should I need any more assistance. Peace, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 21:39, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
- Yup, damn that real life stuff Katniss but there is no time limit here, and always work to do, so the project appreciates all effort but expects and demands none. I've only been working so much here recently to try to escape some of the RL crap... but time to get a work-life-wikipedia balance ;) KylieTastic (talk) 21:49, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
- Haha, thanks Kylie. Yeah the missing files tend to pile up quick (mainly due to vandalism it seems - surprised more of it isn't caught by recent changes patrollers) whether we're doing it or not, but always happy to help when I can and make the backlog a little less. Funny, I'm the exact opposite and I tend to edit Wikipedia less when real-life piles up - there have often been times where I don't edit for weeks or months in my busiest times with work and other stuff. Best of luck with your real-life crap! ;) Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 22:12, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
Oleksandr Semchuk, draft
--Евіка Стоколос (talk) 16:41, 23 May 2018 (UTC) Dear KylieTastic, thanks for your help, i take the information from other sourses. please, say, its enough? https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Draft:Oleksandr_Semchuk#Oleksandr_Semchuk
- Hi Евіка Стоколос glad to see you've added some references, although more good ones never hurts. It still has to pass WP:BIO to show the person is considered notable, also as it's a Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons key claims need to be supported by inline citations rather than just references at the bottom (which is OK for non BLP but inline citations are always preferred so the reader can verify more easily. Image if you had 50 references and someone wanted to check a claim was valid, it would take a long time to read all 50, when with inline citations you know which sources are being used for a section. Lastly these are just quick comments not a full review, and to be fair to all submitters I don't re-review on request, I just pick new and old submissions at random, so it may or may not be myself who does a full review next. But I would recommend looking at inline citations or look at Help:Referencing for beginners, and adding any other references you can find. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 17:52, 23 May 2018 (UTC)
Genevieve Nnaji:
Please what was wrong with my editing of Genevieve Nnaji? I wish to know to improve myself. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gylady (talk • contribs) 19:33, 23 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Gylady I wasn't the editor who revert your edits to Genevieve Nnaji that was Dirkbb however although you added new text with sources that may have been ok you cannot add "Read the original article on Theafricareport.com" or "Follow us: @theafricareport on Twitter" to promote sources. This in an Encyclopedia not social media. Also as your promoting Theafricareport website and social media then using that as a source makes the complete edit look dubious as just promotion for your site. On a side note I rejected User:Gylady/sandbox as the source does not even appear to mention the subject "Mrs Amina Mohammed" and articles generally require significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the topic to be considered notable. vandalism of an entry you verified
Entry ELNET was vandalized; The editor deleted 50% of the article indiscriminently, removing relevant, referenced key information, and was reviewd already by you; Deletion was reasoned as "not referenced", which is evidently false, in every sentence.;
The user also added unverified data; The user (OmriAttar) is biased - he's creditted in the company's website as a chief executive. Please help to restore the previous version, and suggest how to deal with further vandalism.
Merci.

NPR Newsletter No.11 25 May 2018
ACTRIAL:
- WP:ACREQ has been implemented. The flow at the feed has dropped back to the levels during the trial. However, the backlog is on the rise again so please consider reviewing a few extra articles each day; a backlog approaching 5,000 is still far too high. An effort is also needed to ensure that older unsuitable older pages at the back of the queue do not get automatically indexed for Google.
Deletion tags
- Do bear in mind that articles in the feed showing the trash can icon may have been tagged by inexperienced or non NPR rights holders. They require your further verification.
Backlog drive:
- A backlog drive will take place from 10 through 20 June. Check out our talk page at WT:NPR for more details. NOTE: It is extremely important that we focus on quality reviewing. Despite our goal of reducing the backlog as much as possible, please do not rush while reviewing.
Editathons
- There will be a large increase in the number of editathons in June. Please be gentle with new pages that obviously come from good faith participants, especially articles from developing economies and ones about female subjects. Consider using the 'move to draft' tool rather than bluntly tagging articles that may have potential but which cannot yet reside in mainspace.
Paid editing - new policy
- Now that ACTRIAL is ACREQ, please be sure to look for tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary. There is a new global WMF policy that requires paid editors to connect to their adverts.
Subject-specific notability guidelines
- The box at the right contains each of the subject-specific notability guidelines, please review any that are relevant BEFORE nominating an article for deletion.
- Reviewers are requested to familiarise themselves with the new version of the notability guidelines for organisations and companies.
Not English
- A common issue: Pages not in English or poor, unattributed machine translations should not reside in main space even if they are stubs. Please ensure you are familiar with WP:NPPNE. Check in Google for the language and content, tag as required, then move to draft if they do have potential.
News
- Development is underway by the WMF on upgrades to the New Pages Feed, in particular ORES features that will help to identify COPYVIOs, and more granular options for selecting articles to review.
- The next issue of The Signpost has been published. The newspaper is one of the best ways to stay up to date with news and new developments. between our newsletters.

Page Deletion/ Help
Hi KylieTastic, I am from CobbleStone Software and we recently created a Wikipedia page for our company. We recently got our page deleted (link provided above). I am confused what the guidelines are that we did not meet and how we can avoid not meeting them in the future. I was also wondering how do we get our deleted content back? Thank you for your help! CobbleStone Software — Preceding unsigned comment added by Willsquares8 (talk • contribs) 16:40, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Willsquares8 as I'm not an administrator I can no longer see the content to answer directly but I can comment in general. First all articles need to show Wikipedia:Notability the guide we use to decide what can have an article. In this case Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) applies more specifically, and this is shown by having significant coverage in independent reliable sources. That was the standard I rejected the submission for, however another editor though it went further and was promotional not Encyclopedic and flagged for deletion. The other problem is as you've just said you have a Wikipedia:Conflict of interest, which is one reason it probably sounded promotional. We strongly discourage editing on COI topics for this very reason, you are very unlikely to come here and submit an article listing any bad things reported about your company. As it was deleted for reason G11, Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion can't help, you can ask the deleting admin to reconsider, but they are unlikely to due to the conflict of interest issue. If your company is notable someone will probably write an article at some point. Fundamentally this is an Encyclopedia, and not a place for companies to promote - that's what your own website and social media is for. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 19:27, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
Question
I don’t know how to work this can you help me please Turner13519 (talk) 18:51, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Turner13519, if you want to create new articles see Wikipedia:Your first article and then your recommend to create at first via Wikipedia:Articles for creation. But as I said on your talk page Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia not a place you create a page about yourself. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 18:54, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
Hey Kylie, just was clearing the articles category and had an idea regarding this template, which is currently the only one showing up in Category:Templates with missing files. Do you think it would work to de-link the missing files in that template (as in just removing the brackets) and comment them out until they are created? IMO there's not really a reason to have them linked when they don't exist, and I believe it would stop it from showing up as missing. Example of what I'm talking about in my sandbox. Let me know your thoughts, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 22:54, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hey Katniss, I smile and nod in your direction ;)
- Tbh I'm not sure - this could mean they will object, and "real-life" has exhausted me to arguments. However I don't see any real difo between commented out non images to non commented out non images. However, I see no visual problem if say a change was from File:Invalid.svg to "Requires file File:Invalid.svg" (so from to :File:Invalid.svg) adding a ":" in front if the file stops it being processed as a real file but leaves the name visible, and if it exists, which is usually a good compromise than total comment out (but only works as a solution in main article space). Hope that helps, and hope your well. Salutations KylieTastic (talk) 23:18, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Kylie, I went ahead and commented all the broken images out (leaving us with both the articles and templates categories clear!). Decided to go that route since you said the ":" only works in the main article space, which this is a template and thus is not in the mainspace. Btw, got a good laugh out of your edit summary, hope you're enjoying yourself! ;) Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 23:54, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Katniss, too little food and sleep made the drink hit me a bit... so I missed out a not... it should have been "only works as a solution when not in main article space)" - i.e. it still leave an ugly red-link that has no purpose in main space, but is ok for documentation cases like this. Opps, sorry, I should have just gone to bed and answered in the morning. KylieTastic (talk) 08:52, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hey Kylie, no worries and thanks for fixing it in the template. Hope you're doing well, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 15:39, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
New article attempt
Hello, I had saw that you were the one reviewing y article, and was wondering what changes I can make in order to have it approved? Thanks Aidano97 (talk) 19:40, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Aidano97 I see we are talking about Draft:Tyler Grosso - as a person they need to pass the guideline Wikipedia:Notability (people) to be valid. As that says in general that means the article requires significant coverage in reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject. The existing source is good as its from a reliable source and not trivial. However you need more than one article to show it's not just a one off and they are notable. Hope that helps KylieTastic (talk) 20:08, 31 May 2018 (UTC)

Hello Kylie,
you were reviewing my draft and declined it in terms of significance. The article was requested by WP:WikiProject Amusement Parks. Since the ride is in operation and part of Heidepark, i think its significant just for the sake of completion. What shall I do for improvement? Trex2001 (talk) 13:38, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Trex2001 all articles need to show notability usually requiring significant coverage in independent reliable sources, just having a single source shows that it exists not that it is notable enough for its own article. Wikipedia:Notability (geographic features) would be the guidelines to look at. Look for other sources to add, also maybe ask on the projects talk page for help advice with improving. Draft Ali Banat
Hi Kylie,
The page I had recently created was nominated for a 'Speed Deletion'. I would like to inform you that Ali was a friend of mine, and in writing this page, I have ensured of using sources which are reliable. I have checked the information used with multiple sources to ensure the reliability. Kindly please reconsider my request.
Kind regards,
Maidarana1 (talk) 10:29, 3 June 2018 (UTC)Maida
- Hi Maidarana1 sorry for the loss of your friend. The page was deleted as a copyright issue as it was largely a copy from two sources - the "Charity Work" and "Legacy" are still direct copies from everipedia that may not me copyrighted but still fails for Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. However the main issue is although he was important to you and others he does not appear to meet our inclusion guideline for people see: Wikipedia:Notability (people) - Note "Articles generally require significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the topic" (see WP:42). Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 10:41, 3 June 2018 (UTC)
- FYI I have salted the draft page, imho the OP has a clear NOTHERE issue. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 11:46, 3 June 2018 (UTC)
Hello.
what ist wrong with wikipedia. All claims are backed up by offical document. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Defensecontributor (talk • contribs) 20:15, 3 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Defensecontributor all articles on Wikipedia need to meet the notability guidelines in this case for a company Draft:Taurus Defense Solutions they need to meet Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) mainly this requires significant coverage in independent reliable sources. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 20:19, 3 June 2018 (UTC)
How many source it take to get accepted? There are two documents submitted from moscow and delaware that show company is real, the website ist there too. If we were to have 2-3 more articles from official source that is independent will it work? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Defensecontributor (talk • contribs) 20:15, 3 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Defensecontributor there is no number of sources it depends on the content and the source. At the moment you have the subjects website and linkedin that are not independent, a Russian document that appears to just be a statement of formation, and the Delaware document just a company filing. Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia about notable subjects, its not about just proving the company exists it requires reliable sources that are independent to have written about the subject in a non trivial way. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 20:37, 3 June 2018 (UTC)
Can you highlight example of something that needs to be sourced by independent sources? What other info would you have to see? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Defensecontributor (talk • contribs) 20:15, 3 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Defensecontributor, I'm not going to repeat myself, please just read the last responses. At the moment you have NO independent reliable sources that have significant coverage of the subject. If this is not clear try I suggest asking at the Wikipedia:Teahouse instead, and get an explanation from other experienced editors. KylieTastic (talk) 21:03, 3 June 2018 (UTC)

Help on finding references
I'm trying to find references for a studio that is not very well known. What can I do about this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dvanr (talk • contribs) 20:47, 3 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Dvanr well it's possible if they are not well known then they do not exist. Not every subject gets an article on Wikipedia - it could just be a case of WP:TOOSOON. Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia of notable subjects not for promoting or listing every company, person, etc that exists. If there are references that the links nest to the "Find sources: " in the decline notice on Draft:Summit Premiere may help locate them. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 20:54, 3 June 2018 (UTC)
Thank you for this. The studio, Summit Premiere is a division of Summit Entertainment and it is seen in front of two movies, so it is real. Also, I have no affiliation with Summit or Lionsgate in any way. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dvanr (talk • contribs) 20:58, 3 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Dvanr, I don't doubt they are real, they just may not yet be notable. Most subjects I'm interested in that don't either have articles or I cannot find enough to qualify for one. Writing articles can be very hard if the subject isn't easily notable. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 21:06, 3 June 2018 (UTC)

Citations for Musician Page
My submission for Joseph "Jo Blaq" Macklin was declined due to citation issues. I had referenced Genius.com to connect citations with his credits and it was still denied. What is the proper database that you would need cited in order to verify his production credits? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Samvkul (talk • contribs) 15:44, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
- HiSamvkul, the ref you have just gives a list of songs, there are no sources for the other sections. Note that every new article needs to meet the notability guidelines, in this case either Wikipedia:Notability (music) or Wikipedia:Notability (people) would apply most. Also as a Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons you should note that in a nutshell this states: Material about living persons added to any Wikipedia page must be written with the greatest care and attention to verifiability, neutrality, and avoidance of original research. Marion J Ridgway Polyganla Barn
Hi, You undid my revisions, but the name is spelled wrong. The last name has no "e". it is "Marion J. Ridgway". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryanrwatson100 (talk • contribs) 06:19, 7 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Ryanrwatson100, I didn't revert your edit Abelmoschus Esculentus did, but I had removed the same unsourced change from an IP editor. The government sources given have it as "Ridgeway" although I see from a quick google, some have it without the 'e'. So it would need a source to show the government register was wrong and also the change should then mention the alternative spelling in the official records. Lastly if this was done it would not involve breaking the image again, it's a filename. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 08:49, 7 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Ryanrwatson100: See WP:CS and WP:RS for citing sources. Thanks. ~ Abelmoschus Esculentus (talk to me) 08:52, 7 June 2018 (UTC)

- Hi Farooqbhatti44 your article User:Farooqbhatti44/sandbox has been submitted for review, and reviewers are working through the backlog of currently 1040 articles. The longest wait at the moment is 3 weeks, but short articles such as yours are usually processed much quicker. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 10:18, 9 June 2018 (UTC)

Draft not approved
Hello sir, I recently tried to create a page about a fairly searched personality. He's cyclist and he does these awareness sorta journeys. Recently, he traveled 3,100 kilometers on a solo journey, on a bike. I understand that this might not sound "substantial", but people here love him. Since he's from a remote village, media coverage isn't great.
Now, if you will, can you please reconsider it?
Regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dakocha (talk • contribs) 11:58, 11 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Dakocha it's not up to an individual to accept or not to exist on Wikipedia - the point of the Draft/Articles for creation process is so any accepted articles are not immediately flagged for deletion. It's my view in this case that it would be deleted as they fail to meet the Wikipedia:Notability (people) guidelines and fail due to being of note for a WP:SINGLEEVENT. The world is full of individuals that are notable locally, or to certain small groups of people, but Wikipedia is a world Encyclopedia and people need to be more generally notable. This type of event is for local papers, local TV/radio, social media etc, not Wikipedia. If you want a second opinion you can ask at the "Articles for creation help desk" as linked to on the decline notices on the article and your talk page. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:19, 11 June 2018 (UTC)

Please explain why draft was rejected, so that I can make necessary adjustments.
Crystal.rogers (talk) 13:38, 11 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Crystal.rogers well it starts off reading like an essay/story "While tending bar on Waikiki beach they dreamed of owning their own place" not an Encyclopedic article. It's also lacking any independent reliable sources, and to show Notability it would require significant coverage in independent reliable sources. See Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) for the requirements for notability of organisations. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 13:47, 11 June 2018 (UTC)

Profimetrics page
Hi, i'm trying to add the page profimetrics, but i initially didn't add the awards the company has received, so there was no proof of its notability. I added them now and also the references for the below. Do you believe it's ok like that? thanks
- Hi Tmfernandes yes things such as notable awards will help towards a companies notability, but also any articles that write about the company in some depth. I see you've increased the content and sources so that's good, but I only had a quick look. I haven't read the sources as to be fair to all submitters I don't review on request, I just pick new and old submissions at random... and I've got a lot of real-life work issues to deal with, and doing Wikipedia on the back burner. If you think you've added independent reliable sources that have significant coverage then feel free to submit again - as you've removed the old notice with the re-submit button just add to the top of the draft. You can also continue to add anything extra you find while waiting for a reviewer - but we have reduced the backlog a lot recently and hopefully it wont be too long. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:38, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
Hello,
I am having issues with trying to get my page published. It was declined due to the references not showing the subjects notability which I do not understand. TSN is Canada's leading sports network which would be considered a reliable reference for this specific page. Kristian Jack has been a soccer broadcaster for more than 15 years, please give me some more helpful tips as to how to get this page published and what else i need to do to make the sources more "reliable."
Thank you, Tayler — Preceding unsigned comment added by GMcIsaac (talk • contribs) 13:13, 14 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi GMcIsaac the full guideline is Wikipedia:Notability (people) but in general what you are looking for is "significant coverage in independent reliable sources". Significant as in not just passing mentions such as the bellmedia.ca source, independent as in not like the tsn.ca source, and reliable sources as in not blogs such as the canadiansportsfan.wordpress.com (that is also just a passing mention) and petehatesmusic.com sources. Hope that explains the issue. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 13:36, 14 June 2018 (UTC)
Hi, under your "creative professionals" section it states a journalist which i can provide many links to his work, articles that he has posted, interviews etc. As he is both a broadcaster and journalist please explain to me how this does not fall under the creative professionals category. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GMcIsaac (talk • contribs) 13:54, 14 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi GMcIsaac which criteria of WP:JOURNALIST do you think they match, none of them says just making stuff is enough. Key words/phrases make the difference like "important figure", "widely cited", "originating a significant new...", "major role in....significant work", "a significant monument", "substantial part", "significant critical attention", etc. KylieTastic (talk) 19:42, 14 June 2018 (UTC)

Neenyo
Hello Kylie,
I'm trying to add photo again to Neenyo page, in the first time i added it with a way that violate copyrights, Already i received this photo from the owner himself, and he confirmed that he has sent an email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and received an auto reply email with reference ticket:2018061410009475. I tried to upload it again to wiki commons but it was deleted again by CommonsDelinker so if you have any help i'll be thankful. Noona Noona 10:40, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Noona Noona, I don't work for OTRS however I believe permissions-en@wikimedia.org is for the English Language version of Wikipepia not Commons which I think is permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. So the problem looks like an EN:WP vs Commons issue. If they sent permission to permissions-en@wikimedia.org then maybe uploading locally would work, but I would think posting to Wikipedia talk:Volunteer Response Team would be a good place to ask. I don't know if the OTRS teams work together, but as you have a reference I would hope the local team would be able to advise. Hope that helps. If the owner want to give global permission to commons see c:Commons:OTRS. Hope that helps, all the best KylieTastic (talk) 22:55, 17 June 2018 (UTC)

The city shoe was booted!
Thanks for reviewing my article on the city shoe. Does every Wikipedia article need to provide citations? How about https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wedge_(footwear) for example. There are two vague citations which do not lend themselves to crosschecking. How about https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Far_pointer. Who is to say not everything on that page is baloney. The city shoe is popular in the city I'm from and these are definitely a distinct genre. Maybe they are not as popular where you are from? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Orashar (talk • contribs) 21:23, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Orashar yes all articles on Wikipedia should be sourced or can be put up for deletion (WP:AFD). In the old days the guidelines where less strict, or less patrolled, so yes some old articles started in these cases in 2005 and 2006. New articles are now all patrolled and very few if any survive long without sources. As for ones like those that exist, any editor coming across them can try to improve, or flag for deletion if they think they are not actually notable. However the other stuff exists argument always end ups with the existing articles being improved or deleted, and never gets another unsourced article added to the list. However I'm aware of Wedge (footwear) and Far pointers and think both could be sourced, I really don;t know with Draft:City shoe to be honest , but have a look about and see what references you can find. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 22:01, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
- OK makes sense. Let me write an article on that in a local newspaper and maybe then I can cite that ;)
Hi KylieTastic, I'm not sure where I should ask for help your user page talk or the page I'm trying to submit's talk... https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Draft_talk:Gilles_Raymond Any kind of help is welcome. BR, --Mathieuleddet (talk) 19:22, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Mathieuleddet the primary issue is notability which needs to be shown with sources. Almost all of the sources listed do not even mention the subject. Notability is not inherited, so just because subjects they are associated with are notable does not make them notable. Although the ref you added on the talk page at least mentions them, it is just a passing mention not about them in any substance. Also I'm not sure what you mean with your talk page comment on the draft as you added sources fine in the original, and after the last decline added another one fine. However unless you can find independent reliable sources that talk about the subject in some depth they may not be notable at this point in there life. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:35, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
Creating a draft
Hello! Ive seen you made some editing to my article (Bishopˊs House (Taganrog). Thanks. As I am newcomer to Wikipedia, Id like to ask some some silly questions, as for example, how I should know for sure that my draft is approved? It will drop the title "draft" by itself? Wordrivestheworld (talk) 11:38, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Wordrivestheworld your draft Draft:Bishopˊs House (Taganrog) is currently waiting for review. When reviewed fully the reviewer will either decline pointing out the primary issue(s) that needs to be addressed, or the article will be accepted. If declines a decline notice will be added to the top of the draft and on your talk page, if accepted the draft will be changed to Bishop's House (Taganrog) (or similar) and you should be notified on your talk page. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 11:51, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
- Here am I again) "This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified" My question - my draft on Kamennaya Balka was rejected because there is only one source or it seems to be unreliable one? Much thanks for answering.--Wordrivestheworld (talk) 18:55, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Wordrivestheworld as it's not an online source it's difficult to judge the quality of the source, however a single source is not generally considered enough. I also could not even verify it existed. Although assuming good faith for offline sources may be used, being the only one makes it weaker, but would not get it classed as unreliable. Note that one source could be intentionally or unintentional biased/mistaken or due to an individuals interest rather than general notability. Also in this case the reference was in the third section suggesting it did not cover the information in the first two sections? Other sources do exist such as a scholar search, so you should be able to add more, the decline notice has link to help "Find sources". Also such claims as "under protection of Rostov region government" would be expected to have a source from the government or media. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:14, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
picture deleted
Hi Kylie, my pictures were deleted from the AsianWeek posting. I sent the release to WikiCommons. Does that mean that they rejected my release? if so, how do I appeal that? I own the copyrights to the pictures. Or does it mean that I am still waiting for them to approve my pictures? and is there any way to make it quicker, it has been almost a week already. thanks for your attention! TeddyFang (talk) 23:28, 20 June 2018 (UTC)TeddyFang
- Hi TeddyFang I would assume that you would have been notified if it was rejected, and it's just a case of waiting. I'm no expert on the commons side of things, but I understand they get quite backlogged as the work exceeds the number of volunteers that name the necessary permissions. Unfortunately this is a problem across the projects that we do not have enough volunteers to keep up with the work in as timely a manner as would ideal be the case. You can ask for help at c:Commons:OTRS/Noticeboard but do read the FAQ first c:Commons:OTRS/Noticeboard/FAQ. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 09:06, 21 June 2018 (UTC)

This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified
is it a reliable source, if you can find the same article in the german Wikipedia ? You can verify there, that this item is online and verified since 2005. This article is only an translation of the german page. The reason, why this article should be published in the US is that Gilla Cremer is starting an US-Tour with her plays. So it would be helpful, if she could be found on the US Wiki.

Having an article on another language Wikipeida, or even all of the others has no meaning here. Here only the Wikipedia:Notability guidelines count, in this case Wikipedia:Notability (people). Having a tour is also of no importance as this is an Encyclopedia not a platform for promotion, that's what social media is for. Her own website is not independent, and IMDB is not a reliable source just leaving the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek source which is a catalogue and not substantial. What is generally required is significant coverage in independent reliable sources. Have a look for more sources to add, if she has done that much work as listed, either there will be sources about her, or they aren't actually that notable. thanks
Mackeychaos (talk) 15:23, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Mackeychaos in general most articles require significant coverage in independent reliable sources, you currently have none. Also Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons requires all living persons have sources for key claims. As an academic Wikipedia:Notability (academics) applies so to be included for there academic work the sources need to clearly show they meet one of the listed criteria, it's unclear if they do or not. I am National Youth Award Winner from Central Government of India and a Youth Activist. Will the news Articles and my TEDx Talks be used as reliable sources?? Please do help me with that.
Thanks.Sravan0907 (talk) 10:48, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Sravan0907, since you say "I am..." that you must read the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guidelines. Secondly Wikipedia:Notability (people) is the policy to describe what counts as notable for people. I do not know about Qcan, but as a TEDx would not be independent it would probably not count to notability. However my advice would be if you think you meet the criteria for Wikipedia:Notability (people) then add all the references (that are more than just passing mentions) that you can find. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 10:57, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi kylietastic Thanks for your inputs, I am sorry for the typo. Its not Qcan, the question is mention of news articles in Hindu, Times of India, Hans India such newspapers and Independent Social Media websites be reliable sources ?? Thanks--Sravan0907 (talk) 11:19, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Sravan0907 yes all the main Indian newspapers would count as reliable sources, but not usually social media unless its from news accounts, but then they usually have a full article anyway. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:21, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi kylietastic Great, if i can site five to six major English newspaper articles on different issues as references the chances of being approved will go up right ?
ThanksSravan0907 (talk) 13:51, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Sravan0907 yes it will go up, but without seeing the content there are no guarantees - the key thing is if they show Wikipedia:Notability (people). Add what you can find and resubmit for further advice. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 14:14, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
Sheema Mukherjee
Hi, First time on Wikipedia for me, but I edited the info to be accurate and current. No idea who put the stuff on there previously. The picture that is there also is a pic of Natacha Atlas. I can prove all the info if required. My user name is pktkblank. I noticed you reverted back to the previous info on there which is inaccurate. How do I change it to my edited version before you reverted it back? ThanksPktkblank (talk) 18:42, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Pktkblank, I reverted your edit because there were several problems with it. I would suggest starting with smaller changes to reduce errors, and make it easier for single edits to be reverted if you do break any guidelines etc. You can see how you left the page here, as you should have noticed when you made the edit you have two example images on top and a red-linked (error) image in the infobox. Also you may notice the partial reference you left after "She also performed on 'Midsummer Night's Dream..." in the second paragraph. Yes the picture also contained Natacha Atlas as the caption below it stated "Sheema Mukherjee (right) and Natacha Atlas (left) in concert, 2008" - However, I think right and left were the wrong way around, and Sheema Mukherjee was in the rear, so I have changed to another image we already have. Note that images used on Wikipedia must be uploaded (See: WP:UPIMAGE), and have a 'free' licence to be used (such as public domain, or creative commons,... ) you cannot for instance just take any image from the internet. Wikipedia requires reliable sources - you added a lot on unsourced content, and as I assume she is still alive we have to be more careful as per Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. You did remove half a reference, and I'm sure that was by accident as you new here and didnt understand the markup, these then make the list of references at the bottom. You also added "legendary sitarist" which is considered not-encyclopedic (without a very good source) and not a Neutral point of view (another guideline).
- I know that's a lot to take in, but it's why most would suggest small edits while learning, and don't worry these problems are normal and we expect from new editors. So please feel free to add more again, but do it in smaller bits, look at the result in-case it had unintended results as it did this time. Finally remember things need to be referenced - See Help:Referencing for beginners for help on that. Lastly if you have any questions, we have a place for new editors to ask for help called the Wikipedia:Teahouse. All the best, KylieTastic (talk) 20:38, 26 June 2018 (UTC)

However I appreciate you've continued to work on it, and I see you've added a lot of links. Axl Sanchez (Soccer Player)
hi, thank you for your reply. I know you said its a Joke or a dream, its not either, its a player Bio and playing history. There's a personal and individual evaluation that has very important details about the player. I dont want to waste your time anymore since you're very busy... But since everything is credible and by me removing more info will only devalue the bio.. so at this point not removing but adding more info will still be a joke or a dream? and thank you for taking your time to answer me.. i really appreciate it — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kickasstred (talk • contribs) 19:46, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Kickasstred, all articles on Wikipedia need to be sourced with independent reliable sources, and meet the notability guidelines. In this case it would be Wikipedia:Notability (sports) section WP:NFOOTY. Only actual professional players in major leagues qualify. Other wise it would be just as a person in general covered by Wikipedia:Notability (people), which would require significant coverage in independent reliable sources. Mass-delete files
Hey Kylie, hope life's been treating you well. Just took a glance at the missing files cat before I went to bed for the night, after a few weeks of not doing so (due to busyness in real-life). I noticed that (at the time of typing this), 90% of the pages in that cat are due to File:Somalia Islamic Courts Flag.svg being deleted. Many of the current pages that have it missing are for Somali wars and such, and thus the image is linked on there like 10-20 times on many of the pages. I was wondering if there was a way to just mass-delete that file from all articles, as it would save us some time from having to delete it 10-20 times in each article. Just thought I'd inquire with you since you would know better than I. Don't have the time/energy to look into it tonight, as quite frankly I'm exhausted and my brain's beginning to turn off. Anywho thanks and hope you're doing well, now Katniss needs to go get herself some sleep xD Cheers, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 05:36, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Katniss, yes I've been to tired to do much here as well, and somewhat unmotivated with a lot of the negativity and arguments. I noticed that file yesterday and fixed two templates fixing a couple of hundred articles. The problem is that file is a redirect to the actual deleted files, so the bot missed them in cleanup. I've flagged c:File:Somalia Islamic Courts Flag.svg for deletion, and hoping that causes the bots to clean up, if not I have access to WP:AWB that should be able to do this (but I've only used it once). If not it's just going to be a manual job. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 09:07, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Kylie, thanks for filing that deletion request. It appears the bots got a few of them, though the majority of the articles that had the file are still in the missing files category. If you want to try WP:AWB to get the rest that's fine, otherwise I can try to help do the manual job at some point when I get a chance. Yeah, I totally understand the unmotivated feeling with all the negativity/anger lately. Don't really have the energy to deal with all the petty arguments over nothing, so I've been tending to mostly just stick to the articles I'm comfortable with lately especially when real-life has been busy. Peace and love, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 18:20, 28 June 2018 (UTC)

Echo Park (2014)
I received your message that the Echo Park movie was not notable. I watched the movie on Netflix and assumed that made the film worthy of an article. I never dispute reverts even when I wasted my time. Thanks. Eschoryii (talk) 21:47, 29 June 2018 (UTC) No need to respond.
- Hi Eschoryii, just to be clear the decline is because it was not yet shown that it was notable, but it may still be notable for Wikipedia. It would just need more sources than just a link to to streaming source, although I did a quick look and didn't find enough (but it was very quick). Regards KylieTastic (talk) 22:45, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
- I find a New York Times review and following on Rotten Tomatoes. I marked it a stub and expected help from other editors. Why are people so quick to revert? Your "not yet" comment does not undo my feeling of wasted time. I known you want me to add more reliable sources but why cannot the community do that. I really do not want to have this conversation. Regards. Eschoryii (talk) 23:08, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hey Eschoryii, I get feeling let down by this place... it really would be good if there was enough contributors for us to work on all possible articles, but remember there are probably tens if not hundreds of thousands of new articles being work on. As for AfC, unfortunately there are not that many editors considering the amount of material, and way to many vandals, hoaxers and other negative people. We have several hundred AfC submissions every day, and in the last 24hours I can see we only had 21 reviewers... So unfortunately we don't have time to help more and the work load is depressing. I have been trying to find ways to get more experienced editors reviewing without much luck, and it would be nice if more WikiProjects helped out in Draft automatically. You could post a request for collaboration in Wikipedia:WikiProject Film to draw attention to people who have an active interest in film article. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 23:23, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
- Your frustration is felt by me. I just deleted all the articles I had edited and followed. My efforts are not appreciated by YOU and yet we are having this conversation. Go after vandals and those who ignor community standards. Why do you want discourage coverage of a newly released movie? I keep responding and I know it will be useless. Your response is not friendly or encouraging. Had you listened to my "No need to respond" both of us would have felt better. Now I don't want to edit and you are asking for more help. We both go away dissatisfied and wasted time we could have spent on the encyclopedia. I am a retired attorney with a great deal to offer but I lack technical computer skills. Please respond no further for both our sakes and I will go away. Eschoryii (talk) 23:49, 29 June 2018 (UTC) Rejecting the articles is a great way to eliminate the backlog.
- If you don't want a reply don't post on peoples personal talk page! and how dare you come back a second time to claim we reject articles to reduce the backlog, we volunteer huge amount of hours to help advise people if the article would likely be deleted if posted to main-space or not. Hi Kylie, just by chance I happened to just glance at your contribs to check if you had taken care of the AWB thing yet (thanks!), and noticed what had happened with all the trolls and your message at AfD. Didn't see the diffs as they've been revdeleted now, but I've had my fair share of experiences with trolls as well and know how frustrating it can be. Probably best that you're taking a break, I know it's helped me in the past to do so. Just wanted to say your contributions here are definitely appreciated by at least one person, after all you're one of the nicest people I've met on Wikipedia! Was genuinely a bit sad when I saw the "my miserable existence" comment at AfD, hope everything's okay in your real-life and remember to focus on the positive things. Someone who purposefully sets out to threaten and harass others isn't worth your time or thought, so try to fill your Wikibreak with happy things. In the meantime, here's a kitten that should hopefully cheer you :) Hope you're feeling better soon and don't focus on the negative too much. Hugs,

Article Review for Aldi Ferdian
Hi There Kylie,
I would like to ask for your permission to re-review the page I've created. I've added some referral links based on reputable news media. Kindly check the link : https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Draft:Aldi_Ferdian
Huge thanks! --Ariestalphantio (talk) 04:59, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
- Hey Ariestalphantio, Kylie is currently on a Wikibreak due to some personal stuff, so I'll try to answer your question as best I can. Glancing at the page, the article probably still needs some work before it will be accepted. There were some stylistic things which I've fixed (i.e. unnecessary bolding of headings, extraneous spaces in between references, etc.), but the main issue I'm seeing is that in certain places the article has a lot of fluff. "There is no process and hard work that deceives the results. There is no experience that negates the opportunity". That's how he felt when he jumped in a new world, which had made him doubt." Not knowing anything about the subject of the article, which most readers probably won't when the article goes live, I'm not sure if this is a quote said by him or just a random inspirational quote you put in. Also, certain pieces of it sound very non-neutral towards the subject, such as Several times he was almost dismissed for not getting clients. But he shouldn't give up.and With the new group, it is easier to consolidate them, and expand their business into new sectors. All articles should be neutral towards the subject, which in this case would mean not using any phrases like "easier to consolidate" which sounds slightly promotional (though I don't think that's how you intended it) or "But he shouldn't give up" which also sounds non-neutral and like you are rooting for him to keep at his dreams (which while very positive and uplifting, isn't really an encylopedic way of phrasing it). I'm unfortunately not a new-page reviewer like Kylie is, but I'm happy to help if you like some assistance in helping to fix up the article and potentially find more references. You have a very good start, but it could use a bit of work before you resubmit. All the best, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 15:54, 23 July 2018 (UTC) (talk page stalker)

NPR Newsletter No.13 18 September 2018
Hello KylieTastic, thank you for your work reviewing New Pages!
The New Page Feed currently has 2700 unreviewed articles, up from just 500 at the start of July. For a while we were falling behind by an average of about 40 articles per day, but we have stabilised more recently. Please review some articles from the back of the queue if you can (Sort by: 'Oldest' at Special:NewPagesFeed), as we are very close to having articles older than one month.
- Project news
- The New Page Feed now has a new "Articles for Creation" option which will show drafts instead of articles in the feed, this shouldn't impact NPP activities and is part of the WMF's AfC Improvement Project.
- As part of this project, the feed will have some larger updates to functionality next month. Specifically, ORES predictions will be built in, which will automatically flag articles for potential issues such as vandalism or spam. Copyright violation detection will also be added to the new page feed. See the projects's talk page for more info.
- There are a number of coordination tasks for New Page Patrol that could use some help from experienced reviewers. See Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Coordination#Coordinator tasks for more info to see if you can help out.
- Other
- A new summary page of reliable sources has been created; Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources/Perennial sources, which summarizes existing RfCs or RSN discussions about regularly used sources.
- Moving to Draft and Page Mover
- Some unsuitable new articles can be best reviewed by moving them to the draft space, but reviewers need to do this carefully and sparingly. It is most useful for topics that look like they might have promise, but where the article as written would be unlikely to survive AfD. If the article can be easily fixed, or if the only issue is a lack of sourcing that is easily accessible, tagging or adding sources yourself is preferable. If sources do not appear to be available and the topic does not appear to be notable, tagging for deletion is preferable (PROD/AfD/CSD as appropriate). See additional guidance at WP:DRAFTIFY.
- If the user moves the draft back to mainspace, or recreates it in mainspace, please do not re-draftify the article (although swapping it to maintain the page history may be advisable in the case of copy-paste moves). AfC is optional except for editors with a clear conflict of interest.
- Articles that have been created in contravention of our paid-editing-requirements or written from a blatant NPOV perspective, or by authors with a clear COI might also be draftified at discretion.
- The best tool for draftification is User:Evad37/MoveToDraft.js(info). Kindly adapt the text in the dialogue-pop-up as necessary (the default can also be changed like this). Note that if you do not have the Page Mover userright, the redirect from main will be automatically tagged as CSD R2, but in some cases it might be better to make this a redirect to a different page instead.
- The Page Mover userright can be useful for New Page Reviewers; occasionally page swapping is needed during NPR activities, and it helps avoid excessive R2 nominations which must be processed by admins. Note that the Page Mover userright has higher requirements than the NPR userright, and is generally given to users active at Requested Moves. Only reviewers who are very experienced and are also very active reviewers are likely to be granted it solely for NPP activities.

Hello KylieTastic, thank you for your work reviewing New Pages!
- Backlog
As of 21 October 2018[update], there are 3650 unreviewed articles and the backlog now stretches back 51 days.
- Community Wishlist Proposal
- There is currently an ongoing discussion regarding the drafting of a Community Wishlist Proposal for the purpose of requesting bug fixes and missing/useful features to be added to the New Page Feed and Curation Toolbar.
- Please join the conversation as we only have until 29 October to draft this proposal!
- Project updates
- ORES predictions are now built-in to the feed. These automatically predict the class of an article as well as whether it may be spam, vandalism, or an attack page, and can be filtered by these criteria now allowing reviewers to better target articles that they prefer to review.
- There are now tools being tested to automatically detect copyright violations in the feed. This detector may not be accurate all the time, though, so it shouldn't be relied on 100% and will only start working on new revisions to pages, not older pages in the backlog.
- New scripts
- User:Enterprisey/cv-revdel.js(info) — A new script created for quickly placing copyvio-revdel on a page.

- Hi KylieTastic, I just updated my company's logo and you changed it. Why? Please put it back.
Mark Burdon — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mburdonatxe (talk • contribs) 15:15, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Mburdonatxe, I had removed it because it wasn't showing as a valid image at the time - I see you have uploaded one to commons but it is likely to be deleted. Firstly only not copyrighted material can be uploaded to commons, so it depends on if they believe it reaches the c:Commons:Threshold of originality. Secondly, it's clearly not your "own work" as it would appear to have been taken from there website. I would suggest updating the source to be the actual source and for the permission you can add PD-textlogo to claim its just "simple geometric shapes or text" and thus in the public domain. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 16:32, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
Hi KylieTastic, I am not "external". I am an Xe internal employee, and I was asked by the Xe Chief Marketing Officer to upload it here. You can email me at Mark.Burdon@Xe.com if you need to confirm, but the copyright for the Xe logo is owned by Xe and our parent company Euronet Worldwide so there is no copyright infringement. From my perspective, it is not a "their website" situation, it is "our website" and I was given the logo to use by an Xe designer. So please leave the new logo to what I used it. I haven't got a clue what your role is with Wikipedia, but I have the authority to update our logo online on Xe.com, on social media or other locations. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mburdonatxe (talk • contribs) 18:39, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Mburdonatxe, the "external" in that default COI message means external to Wikipedia. So with your declared link to the company your edits must comply with the COI guidelines , where you'll note "COI editing is strongly discouraged on Wikipedia". As for my role? As with all editors I am just another volunteer, no staff are paid to edit content. There are mostly just rules and guidelines (any some volunteers with more 'trust' such as administrators), however some things like copyright are legal issues. Wikipedia and Commons additions are all released under a Creative Commons license, so companies can not just say I own the copyright and upload (without giving full open permissions). Your addition on Commons was as an individual (not a company representative), so the point still stands the claim the image source is "Own work" is false unless you personally hold the rights. I do not intent to change anything, but in it's current state it may be challenged by a commons editor - I would suggest at least making sure you have notifications for "Talk page message" turned on over on commons this link. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:20, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
If someone changes our logo for this reason, they clearly need to re-evaluate their life choices. This is our corporate logo. Leave it alone. There are far more important things to worry about. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mburdonatxe (talk • contribs) 19:36, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Mburdonatxe consider the situation from another point of view... Say some random person uploaded your companies logo and/or other copyrighted material without permission claiming "own work", would your company not have the right to be upset, and ask why had it been allowed? The rules are there to protect the legal rights of all companies, and individuals, like you and yours. Because of the nature of the image someone will more likely edit the data fields, but not delete the image, but it's up to interpretation of copyright law which is often difficult. Hi Kylie Fantastic :),Thank you for helping with page editing, for my first wikipedia page "Concrete Ship, ex Sip". I am new in writing articles on wikipedia, and your help means a lot to me, I appreciate it a lot. Can you help me remove the alerts about the error on page, left by other members so that the page is completely functional, because the errors that were listed are now corrected? Thank you again, User 001 (Dacha;)) If you come to Belgrade I'll take you for lunch :)
Korisnik 011 (talk) 20:44, 5 December 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Korisnik 011 thank you :) - happy to have helped - I'm busy with things in 'real life' at the moment but I have just removed the obvious fixed tags. The other two need a bit more time to check, I'll try to find some time to come back and look. Note that the page has not been marked formally reviewed yet, so one of the "new page reviewers" may get to it first. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 20:54, 5 December 2018 (UTC)
Safway Services Page Updates
Hello,
Yesterday I attempted to make changes to the Safway Services Wikipedia page because the company recently experienced a merger and the information needs to be update. Unfortunately all the changes were reverted back due to suspicion of vandalism. I am aware of Wiki policy that changes must be suggested on the Talk page first and if no one makes any objections to the changes, they then are allowed to implement them. I suggested changes on the Safway Services talk page on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. I checked the talk page periodically to see if anyone responded to the suggestions I made and no one responded. The information I was using was all accurate. Can you please inform me why the changes were reverted? The updates are very important, given that the merger occurred over a year ago. If it was references and citation that I was missing I can add those in. How can I be approved to make these important updates?
- Hi Cwills brandsafway, to be honest it wasn't clear from your post on the talk page that it was a request/suggestion the page should be updated, it looked like a cut and paste piece of marketing. Adding just a statement/request something like "Safway has merged and the article needs to be updated...." and a reference would have been clearer, but we got there in the end. Also although your correct and posting on the talk page was the correct thing to do, the COI issue and your name maybe breaking the naming guidelines (WP:ORGNAME) would be a primary consideration. When editing with a COI independent reliable sources are a must. However I have found a source for the merger and reinstated the changes with some tweaks. Review Process
I have added many references such as newspaper links, readers reviews in the draft of a book titled "I am also human" but still, it is taking too much time for review. Can you please tell me why? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rajveer90 (talk • contribs) 18:28, 8 December 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Rajveer90 unfortunately there are more submissions than reviewers (as we are all volunteers) currently its down to 1300 articles waiting for review and oldest being waiting 4 weeks. This is not good but much better than it was when it was 4000+ and over 2 months. These things take time. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 18:37, 8 December 2018 (UTC)
I have submitted this draft for review more than five weeks ago and with due respect I understand it takes time to review but from last five weeks it is showing the average 4 weeks for review. Can you help me in this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rajveer90 (talk • contribs) 13:11, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Rajveer90 it appears this was first submitted for review by Fish and karate on the 21 November 2018 (this edit). It was then reviewed 7 December 2018 and declined by Nosebagbear on the 7 December 2018 and you re-submitted 8 December 2018 which is just 1 week ago. So form the point of the backlog it is just 1 week not 5. Reading the decline notice from Nosebagbear they did believe it was close and just needed 1 more good ref. Maybe asking them here they may be willing to have a look at the new refs and re-review. Sorry but I make a policy not to personally review on request as I feel it's unfair to the other 1000+ editors waiting, however if I had asked for one specific addition like Nosebagbear did I would. Also I've only just logged on and ned to go work, but I like to answer quickly to here keep things moving. Lastly you could use the ask us a question link in the decline notice to the AfC noticeboard. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 13:49, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Rajveer90: - so replying here to let Kylietastic know I'm aware (probably best to take it to AfC, the draft or my talk page if you want to continue further). I had a look through all of the new references, and I don't think any of the added references are by sources that are both Sig Cov (a couple are yet more duplicates of that 5 line review) or in the case of vidhyathakkar, is a 1-person blog, so can't have the editorial control needed for reliability. I wasn't completely confident of that judgement, and passing an AfC draft doesn't require 100% confidence in notability, so I didn't decline it either.
- I also had a fairly lengthy search myself for an additional review, but ran into the same two problems repeatedly. Nosebagbear (talk) 16:25, 15 December 2018 (UTC)

NPR Newsletter No.16 15 December 2018
Hello KylieTastic,
- Reviewer of the Year
This year's award for the Reviewer of the Year goes to Onel5969. Around on Wikipedia since 2011, their staggering number of 26,554 reviews over the past twelve months makes them, together with an additional total of 275,285 edits, one of Wikipedia's most prolific users.
- Thanks are also extended for their work to JTtheOG (15,059 reviews), Boleyn (12,760 reviews), Cwmhiraeth (9,001 reviews), Semmendinger (8,440 reviews), PRehse (8,092 reviews), Arthistorian1977 (5,306 reviews), Abishe (4,153 reviews), Barkeep49 (4,016 reviews), and Elmidae (3,615 reviews).
Cwmhiraeth, Semmendinger, Barkeep49, and Elmidae have been New Page Reviewers for less than a year — Barkeep49 for only seven months, while Boleyn, with an edit count of 250,000 since she joined Wikipedia in 2008, has been a bastion of New Page Patrol for many years.
See also the list of top 100 reviewers.
- Less good news, and an appeal for some help
The backlog is now approaching 5,000, and still rising. There are around 640 holders of the NPR flag, most of whom appear to be inactive. The 10% of the reviewers who do 90% of the work could do with some support especially as some of them are now taking a well deserved break.
- Really good news - NPR wins the Community Wishlist Survey 2019
At #1 position, the Community Wishlist poll closed on 3 December with a resounding success for NPP, reminding the WMF and the volunteer communities just how critical NPP is to maintaining a clean encyclopedia and the need for improved tools to do it. A big 'thank you' to everyone who supported the NPP proposals. See the results.
- Training video
Due to a number of changes having been made to the feed since this three-minute video was created, we have been asked by the WMF for feedback on the video with a view to getting it brought up to date to reflect the new features of the system. Please leave your comments here, particularly mentioning how helpful you find it for new reviewers.

Thanks for improving Draft:Sardar Singh Bhati that I created. Nuksanhai (talk) 15:52, 15 December 2018 (UTC) |
- Hi there! I don't understand why you said my submission was not important. Johann Christoph Bach Jr.'s sons immigrated to America and founded the Bach family there. They are the connection, in America, to the family of Johann Sebastian Bach, in Germany. Of course, this is an important person. Would you please either approve my submission for publication, or tell me specifically what I need to do to get it approved? Thank you!Jane Manning (talk) 19:32, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Jane Manning, the subjects father Johann Christoph Bach appears to be notable, and possibly their sons maybe if they are noted somewhere as founding an important family tree in America. Also note I did not say the "submission was not important" but that it did not meet Wikipedias Notability guidelines. From both the article and what you have said here, the subject is most notable for being the least notable in the family line... they had a notable father and possibly sons but did nothing notable themselves. As has been pointed out twice Notability is not inherited. So unless the subject did something notable that has yet to be mentioned there is probably nothing that can get this approved. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:46, 15 December 2018 (UTC)

Hi there, all I did was clean up the article to remove things such as peacock terms. If you disagree with any part of my edits specifically, please point it out. 70.114.211.80 (talk) 04:23, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- Hi, What I saw saw an anon removing content and references with no edit summaries or explanation and changing the name to "Tuhar Dutta" where the references appear to agree wit the existing title "Tushar Dutta". However you also added to the Discography section which is correct, so I've added back. Pandit appears to be a title or MOS:HONORIFIC so I agree should not be on every instance, but also not just removed (if its true). If you wish to improve the article I suggest small changes with clear edit summaries, and don't remove valid references. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 13:16, 16 December 2018 (UTC)

2.27.205.95
You have sent me a threatening message regarding "vandalising" a page about Interstate 11 - something which I didn't even know existed until I checked to see precisely what you were accusing me of. You appear to exist solely to threaten and intrude and revert other people's edits, which is very sad - and in this case you have made a huge mistake, into the bargain. Why would anyone want to "vandalise" a wikipage about a road? And why were you feverishly checking to see if anyone had done so? And why did you pick on me to hurl your insane threats? I don't even have a wiki account! You are clearly bonkers. You are the kind of person who ruins things for everyone. Get a life, for God's sake woman.
- Hi 2.27.205.95, if you had taken a little more look you would notice that was from 2015 - so obviously was not aimed at "you". Also notice it was followed by an administrator blocking that user. That person was blocked probably a few hundred times over a couple of years for many hundreds of such edits swapping IP addresses in the range your now on. I'm glad if you cannot imagine that anyone would want to vandalise such a page, you've obviously been lucky to not see the low levels people get to on the internet. I like many hundreds of editors have to waste our time fixing vandalism. KylieTastic (talk) 21:11, 24 December 2018 (UTC)

Hi, I want to edit my draft for Essaf Amary page, but i don't know what was the reason for declined to edit, is it the lake of references, and if yes do i need to include references for all of my lines written in article ?? please help me, so i can edit my article thanks!
Essaf Amary (talk) 22:05, 25 December 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Essaf Amary firstly your correct the lack of references is a big issue, these also have to be independent reliable sources. Because it is also a biography of a living persons (see WP:BLP) it needs the references to be inline, but not necessarily every line. The point is to make it clear which reference(s) is for each section. Secondly each subject needs to show notability in this case it could be Notability if his music has been noteworthy, or possibly Wikipedia:Notability (people). Hope that helps, Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 11:13, 26 December 2018 (UTC)
Hi KylieTastic, I noticed there was a "Kelly Alexandra Hyman" wikipedia article https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Kelly_Alexandra_Hyman that was just recently approved. Regarding "Galileo Goes to Jail and Other Myths about Science and Religion"
You stated that there are no sources at all.
But what exactly should a source be provided for that (academic) book?
How about this; http://www.hup.harvard.edu/catalog.php?isbn=9780674057418

En historiker (talk) 15:44, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
- Hi En historiker some subjects like this can be difficult to find sources that show notability however all articles need to both be reliable sourced for Verifiability, but also need to reach the notability guidelines (See: WP:N, or in this case Wikipedia:Notability (books)). Wikipedia has article that have been of 'note' to the world, not necessarily on subjects that have merit. The Harvard ref is a good start as a good reliable source and if you look at the reviews tab is has been reviewed in a number of reasonable sources so if you can find links to some of those that would help a lot to show notability. Hope that helps, Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 17:31, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
Hi KylieTastic, I'm new to wikipedia and I want to try my best, what should I do to improve my page? --JayGreen21 (talk) 16:57, 29 December 2018 (UTC)
- Hi JayGreen21 and welcome to Wikipedia :) what's required for all articles is to have enough independent reliable sources so that the information can be verified and to show notability (See WP:N). Notability is the set of guidelines we use to decided if a subject is notable, this is different from being worthwhile or interesting etc. Looking for reviews of the subject is the best place to start. (someone has helped - thanks) Newystats (talk) 02:17, 30 December 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Newystats glad you got it fixed, it's always good to wake up to already solved issues. In general note that although a lot of templates have similar parameters they are all a bit different, so it's always good to just look at the documentation but also at how its used in other place as the documentation may not be up-to-date. I assume is this case you looked at the definition that looks like it has image2, but that is the field of the base infobox template it is using, and it is actually checking for a map parameter with {} in...
- | image2 = {{#invoke:InfoboxImage|InfoboxImage|image={}|size={}|alt={}}}
