Sultan Hassan
If you want to create a disambiguation page there, please go ahead. Otherwise, we will need to move the astrophysicist back by the WP:NC (we do not use parenthetical disambiguators like (astrophysicist) if we have only one possible target for "Sultan Hassan"). —Kusma (talk) 09:25, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Kusma your reasoning make absolute sense in the absence of another Sultan Hassan. But can you please take a look to this page Deria Hassan and Sultan al-Nasir Hasan and I think you will see why I removed Sultan Hassan (who is a contemporary figure). If do not agree, given your experience, I totally agree with your call. FuzzyMagma (talk) 09:32, 11 November 2022 (UTC)

November 2022 (or stop fixing problems)
Please refrain from hijacking pages as you did with David Dye (disambiguation). Should you believe the subject you were writing about deserves an article, please use the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version that you can then get feedback on. Also see Wikipedia's disambiguation guideline which indicates how to handle separate subjects with similar names. If you continue to hijack an existing article, you may be blocked from editing. If you have any questions, you are always welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 19:24, 12 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Liz what are you talking about? Having an article called “disambiguation” is against Wikipedia:Disambiguation! To start with!
- i should be thanked not threaten for solving the problem! FuzzyMagma (talk) 20:44, 12 November 2022 (UTC)
- I have created a proper Disambiguation page called David Dye and fixed all the problems that came with it. I really don’t know why you went to threats rather than to assume good faith! FuzzyMagma (talk) 20:51, 12 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Liz ‘Please refrain from hijacking pages‘
- are you trying to build a non existent case!
- what pages! 🤦♂️ FuzzyMagma (talk) 20:53, 12 November 2022 (UTC)
- Well, two administrators have undone your edits on this page. Who do you think is wrong in this case? Go to the Teahouse if you want a second/third opinion. Liz Read! Talk! 01:41, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Liz one gave a constructive feedback, fixed the problem but the other resorted to threats without actually fixing anything (actually created more problems without looking properly to the issue) .. who do you think is more appreciated?
- again you should encourage editors to participate and fix problems and I tried to fix one. I am not a hijacker FuzzyMagma (talk) 07:33, 14 November 2022 (UTC)

Category:WikiProject Materials science members has been nominated for discussion
Category:WikiProject Materials science members has been nominated for possible deletion, merging, or renaming. A discussion is taking place to decide whether this proposal complies with the categorization guidelines. If you would like to participate in the discussion, you are invited to add your comments at the category's entry on the categories for discussion page. Thank you. * Pppery * it has begun... 16:56, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Pppery thanks for letting me. I am working at a materials science institute and I was aiming to train volunteers and organise Edit-a-thon to write articles about materials science as part of making a WikiProject Materials science.Sorry i did not get a chance to start neither but hopefully i will be the beginning of next year. Salah ibn Albadya moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Salah ibn Albadya, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Speedy deletion nomination of Ahmed Hassan Fahal
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Ahmed Hassan Fahal requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://rstmh.org/professor-ahmed-hassan-fahal. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. S Philbrick(Talk) 23:52, 15 November 2022 (UTC)
It is not. I saw the bot when I copied the text and rephrased it. I challenge you to find a sentence the copied FuzzyMagma (talk) 23:54, 15 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Sphilbrick please feel free to remove this tag from my talk. I understand there is a bot in the background tracking direct copy and paste, but that is how I write things. I copy all the relevant information with references then summarise while rephrasing. FuzzyMagma (talk) 23:59, 15 November 2022 (UTC)
- That's not how you should write things, if you mean you do that in Wikipedia. If you like to do it in an external editor, that's fine, but the process you describe introduces copyright violations. While some editors might be under the impression that intermediate versions don't matter and everything is fine as long as the intermediate copyright violations are cleaned up, that's not the case. Please rethink your process. S Philbrick(Talk) 01:36, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Sphilbrick thanks for the advice. I truly did not consider the process before moving the work from the draft space FuzzyMagma (talk) 08:27, 16 November 2022 (UTC)

- Disagree on this one. see Wikipedia:Notability criteria 2, 3, and 6, also general notes 2. AAS and TWAS are very well repsected. I understand that more media sources equals notavility and impact thus I will leave your tag and try to find more reliable references FuzzyMagma (talk) 14:12, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Mr leroy playpus forgot to tag you on my previous comment FuzzyMagma (talk) 14:13, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
- @FuzzyMagma Totally agree that Sami Ahmed Khalid meets notability criteria. AAS establishes it. I do think that the article would be improved by a bit better secondary sourcing, though. Sorry for the sloppy tagging - my issue was with the citations not notability, per se. Mr leroy playpus (talk) 14:31, 16 November 2022 (UTC)

I have sent you a note about a page you started
Hello, FuzzyMagma. Thank you for your work on Mohamed Nureldin Abdallah. User:Mr leroy playpus, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:
Suggest you remove the sentence about it being rare to find an article that does not include his work. (" Abdallah's work is used by all most all major international news outlets to the extend that is rare to find a political article about Sudan that does not include his work.[23]") This sentence constitutes original research.

Please stop
Hello, FuzzyMagma,
Please stop moving main space articles to Draft space. You don't know what you are doing. You are not using the proper scripts, you are not notifying page creators of the moves, I don't think you have any idea of why some articles are draftified. I'm going to try to clean up the damage but please do not do any more page moves unless they are your own articles. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 09:49, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Liz .. good to hear from you again. i did notify the creator manually, see [1], i know the way i did it was wrong (from your perspective) but it allows the creators to move them back (in case they disagree). Please accept my apologies for creating a huge workload for you .. but if you read my message to the creator, I really think they need improvement, alot of improvement. I know even with the best intentions what I did ended up creating more work for you as you need to clean up after myself and I am really sorry for that .. - @Theroadislong I am just looking to what to fix tbh. It is really frustrating that no one is pinpointing the problem when I have massively overhauled the original text but seems to get the same feedback with actual information. FuzzyMagma (talk) 17:25, 28 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Theroadislong I might even doubt that people have even read the article before they decide. I could have moved the article myself to the mainspace as I strongly disagree with last editor, who without starting a talk made an online article (i.e., reviewed), a draft and it is been 3 days with no respond from @MrsSnoozyTurtle them to clarify whey they did that .. Paining by Ibrahim El-Salahi
Hello, thanks for finding and uploading the only picture of a painting by Ibrahim El-Salahi so far. I have just also used it for the article Visual arts of Sudan, so that readers can get an idea of his style. Best, Munfarid1 (talk) 18:24, 2 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thank for making the Visual arts of Sudan a good article (you should nominate it). And sadly I wanted to meet Ibrahim personally when I was in Oxford but sadly pandamic happened. Let me know if you know about any upcoming exhibitions. FuzzyMagma (talk) 18:56, 2 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for your friendly feedback. - There is a good exhibition on Kamala Ibrahim Ishaq in London at the moment.
- And have you seen this great page on Abdelkarim al Kabli? https://arablit.org/2022/12/02/the-patriotic-sufi-remembering-abdelkarim-alkali/#comment-56914 - I have made good use of many of the articles about Sudan on ArabLit, and the authors of this latest essay on Kabli are real experts, doing a great job to translate Sudanese poetry into English. Munfarid1 (talk) 14:24, 3 December 2022 (UTC)

- Thanks btw, for calling me "the guy for putting Sudanese culture on the map", which is of course, exactly my aim and pleasure. But, you, too, are doing a great job in researching and writing many good articles on African and Sudanese scientists or artists, like on Mohamed Nureldin Abdallah or Salah Ibn al Badia. If ever you find a source ascertaining that the singer Ibrahim of Aswat Almadina is his son, as I have been told several times, this fact would be useful for his father's article. - Generally speaking, I think our cooperation to share information and help for articles on Sudanese culture is very useful. My Arabic is not good enough to to research in that language, but I sometimes gain interesting information and sources from French or German publications. In order not to make mistakes in my copyediting of your pages, I will try to save them in short steps, so if there is anything you want to revert or correct, it will not be difficult for you. And the same applies to your changes or comments of my articles, of course. Bye for now, and it's my pleasure to work together for "putting Sudanese culture on the map"! ;) Munfarid1 (talk) 16:37, 4 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Munfarid1 Ibrahim is definitely not Salah son’s, maybe his grandson. Ibn Albadya is pseudo family name and it’s taken only by ibn Albadya descendants (Abu Qroon is the big family name)
- ..
- thanks alot for your kind words and your edits are appreciated and a great chance for me to learn. I am always careful with your articles tbh, they are well-written and rarely require any edits (maybe update but definitely not any edits) .. take care and any collaborations are much appreciated .. - Hi again, sorry, but I have no clue how to be of assistance to this deletion review. - On another issue, I just saw that you uploaded the film poster for Tajouje from its presentation at Goethe-Institut Khartum some years ago. Great job, thank you very much. - ALso, I am sure you know that the copyright for photographs and film stills from Sudan runs out after only 25 years. So any of these media published before 1998, is in public domain. For more, see https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Template:PD-Sudan-Photo - Cheers, Munfarid1 (talk) 15:02, 10 January 2023 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change into Youba Sokona. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. Speedy deletion nomination of Ben-Erik van Wyk
Hello, FuzzyMagma,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Joseywales1961, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged Ben-Erik van Wyk for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. You may find our guide for writing quality articles to be extremely informative. Also, you may want to consider working on future articles in draft space first, where they cannot be deleted for lacking content.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.
For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Joseywales1961}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

- @Joseywales1961 I moved to the draft space, although I am sure that is not the right way to do it. Again sorry for the inconvenience FuzzyMagma (talk) 13:02, 27 December 2022 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Category:Recipients of the National Order of the Lion requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2021 March 4. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Replaceable fair use File:Vinod Prakash Sharma.jpeg
Thanks for uploading File:Vinod Prakash Sharma.jpeg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 03:57, 4 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Whpq before doing that, Vinod Prakash Sharma is dead as indicated in his WP and the obituary that I have attached as source for the picture, however, his son is alive who really looks like him and that might be the cause of the confusion or maybe there is something else as I was under the impression that this is an enough reason (looking to other similar deceased people), am I wrong? Well, a good starting point could be the sources in this paragraph: Music_of_Sudan#Protest_songs,_reggae,_hip_hop_and_rap. - Further sources are these: https://northernnotes.leeds.ac.uk/songs-chants-and-poems-of-the-sudanese-revolution/ https://www.middleeasteye.net/discover/sudan-beja-music-soundtrack-revolution https://theconversation.com/songs-of-freedom-the-soundtracks-of-political-change-in-sudan-115383 https://assafirarabi.com/en/36448/2021/03/04/arts-and-songs-of-the-sudanese-uprising-discourses-of-the-oppressed/ https://www.auxsons.com/en/breves/sounds-of-the-world-music-revolution-ana-afriki-ana-sudani/ http://500wordsmag.com/sudan-news/the-chants-of-sudan-uprising/ There are certainly enough sources to make this a notable article, and music of Sudan has attracted quite a good number of visits in the past. Also, a few external links to music videos would give readers a good impression of the music. - I am currently not able to work on new articles, but would later be happy to contribute or copyedit, as usual. - Best regards and enjoy this worthwhile topic. - Do you mind starting this. I’m bit confused about the structure of the article and it will be a nice collaborative effort that I will learn from. I understand the structure will change as we dig in but you the person behind the Good article about the music of Sudan and your guidance will make it easier to navigate this topic. FuzzyMagma (talk) 00:10, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
- Sure, I will be happy to give it a start and send you the link to my draft ASAP. This will however, only happen at the end of the month. - Cheers, Munfarid1 (talk) 13:18, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Munfarid1 you might find this article interesting Draft:Marriage in Sudan. I can’t lie that my main objective was to write about the rituals but I also need to include other information. For now I have a skeleton with alot of information and many good references that I have skim read and many available online FuzzyMagma (talk) 19:56, 8 May 2023 (UTC)

- Hi! I'll have a look at the draft and see if there's anything I can help with. RadioactiveBoulevardier (talk) 10:38, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- @RadioactiveBoulevardier some information need re arrangement especially the bulk you have deleted at the beginning. So my writing style is bit erratic and dump information while reading and then organise the article flow and add refs FuzzyMagma (talk) 13:21, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- Most or all of the things I cut were superfluous or redundant.
- It's good that you're self-aware about your writing. The article, as is, needs multiple passes of CE before it's publishable. Nothing wrong with that but it should get done. RadioactiveBoulevardier (talk) 13:34, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, It’s far away from being mainspace material. There sections that need more work especially the one about domestic abuse and child marriage. There also a need for a section about marriage to non muslims, the islamic law applied to the other non muslim minorities in the country. It’s a really huge topic
- I started thinking this will be a happy article but once you hit “domestic violence” it dawns on you what marriage actually entails.
- but with your help, I hope we can structure it similar to other marriages articles FuzzyMagma (talk) 14:20, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- @RadioactiveBoulevardier I wonder if you can help me with fixing this article Draft:Tigray genocide (not my work, so you do not need to worry with my erratic style). FuzzyMagma (talk) 13:34, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
- I’ll have a look. It’s definitely an important topic. RadioactiveBoulevardier (talk) 20:05, 24 May 2023 (UTC)

The article Philip Cross (Wikipedian) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
This is an essay on internal Wikipedia politics, not a biography. It doesn't belong in article space.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. AndyTheGrump (talk) 17:43, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- It’s not. It is a biography of an anonymous Wikipedia editor who deemed notable by media outlets. It’s written from a neutral point of view, and reliable sources similar to any notable topic. Please either use suitable in line tags or stop from making sweep judgment that is not backed by any policy (as you didn’t mention the policy) FuzzyMagma (talk) 18:04, 4 June 2023 (UTC)

- @Hemiauchenia can the person who wrote article participate or it is open to no involving parties? FuzzyMagma (talk) 18:07, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, the authors of Wikipedia articles are free to participate in their deletion discussions. Hemiauchenia (talk) 18:09, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- In this edit, you added sources including an article from Haaretz titled The Witch Hunt Against a 'pro-Israel' Wikipedia Editor and an article from Times of News titled The magician hunt opposite a ‘pro-Israel’ Wikipedia editor. Did you not notice that the latter was a version of the former, but with synonyms substituted in an incoherent way? According to a examination of his work, it does seem Cross edits on an roughly evil scale, contributing mixed times a day for years on end. Contacted by Haaretz by his Wikipedia page, Cross denied a allegations of any “conspiracy or anything suspicious.” “Don’t trust all we review online,” he wrote, disappearing to criticism serve for this article. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 18:23, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Metropolitan90 Sorry for not including this as half of the article is behind a paid wall. Please feel free to add this to the article as it is a good example for Cross response. FuzzyMagma (talk) 18:32, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

June 2023
Your recent editing history at Philip Cross (Wikipedian) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Request reason:
please review my edits and you will see nothing disruptive there, I provided reasons to why I wrote something and took the party that was willing to discuss to the page talk. I do not think an editor providing a reason as "fuck all" showed be accepted and I should not ask to back down when someone is not willing to be civil. I understand the request for this appeal normally need to reflect a sense of remorse but I really do not think I acted maliciously. And I do not see the other warrning party being warned even for using uncivil language. Anyway maybe for the best
Decline reason:
The block has expired. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 02:19, 11 June 2023 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

- @FuzzyMagma: could you please summarise WP:3RR in your own words? Could you also answer this question: if an edit improves the encyclopedia, or undoes an edit where the edit summary contains profanity, does that mean it is exempt from 3RR? — Bilorv (talk) 19:41, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Bilorv: Thanks for the question, the point of contention was stylistic as discussed in the talk. A new editor came and made the same complain but without consulting the page talk while using provocative language. I was adding sources to address another editor tags which they explained in the talk when the provocative editor reverted my edit but now was a reason. I was about to take them to the page talk saw this. Again in both incidents I was the one pushing for diplomacy
- as for the profanity, I do not think it helps. It is provocative and no reason was given beyond the provocation. I do not think you will like my answer if I used "fuck" and "shit". It just sounds angry and toxic to say the least FuzzyMagma (talk) 19:51, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Bilorv and @ScottishFinnishRadish sorry to say this but did you check the block history of the other editor it is filled with Disruptive editing, harassment, personal attack, warrning, you name it FuzzyMagma (talk) 20:09, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- So you didn't blow past 3rr, and continue reverting after a warning? ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 20:25, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- No, at least with one editor. Again look to the talk, and see who actually tried to engage.
- Even if you are right, the block is normally for 24 hrs not 72 hrs. Not sure why you went to the extreme given that I don’t have a history of disruptive editing. I cannot run the archive bot because of this block, I hope you can limit it to 24 hrs and I promise am not going to touch that page, not now not ever. I have far more important things to do in this project FuzzyMagma (talk) 04:57, 5 June 2023 (UTC)
- @ScottishFinnishRadish forgot to tag, see reply above please FuzzyMagma (talk) 05:59, 5 June 2023 (UTC)
- Your comment doesn't relate to my questions or what I said. I've never seen a block lifted through somebody commenting on someone else's contributions. The questions were there as a hint of how you could perhaps get the block lifted, but you are free to reject them. — Bilorv (talk) 20:43, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- Your question was a two part question, and I answered to the best of my ability. And if harassment is someone bread and butter, I think you should consider it too. FuzzyMagma (talk) 04:50, 5 June 2023 (UTC)
- So you didn't blow past 3rr, and continue reverting after a warning? ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 20:25, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Bilorv and @ScottishFinnishRadish sorry to say this but did you check the block history of the other editor it is filled with Disruptive editing, harassment, personal attack, warrning, you name it FuzzyMagma (talk) 20:09, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- If FuzzyMagma wants to further discuss my use of 'fuck-all' in an edit summary, that is fine by me, since it will bring further light on the context: a revert of an edit made by FuzzyMagma with an utterly bogus edit summary. This follows an earlier incident, where FuzzyMagma made a demonstrably false claim regarding the use of an utterly-inappropriate source during the AfD discussion. [4][5][6] I am of the opinion that an indefinite block per WP:CIR would be entirely worthy of consideration, and I strongly suspect that others may share my opinion. Perhaps this should be discussed at WP:ANI? AndyTheGrump (talk) 19:46, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- I might disagree with you on alot of things, even the way you conduct yourself, as I see it as toxic and erosive, but going on limp to get me banned is really strange. As for WP:CIR, I have faced similar kind of "otherness" but I am really baffled now. As if we examined CIR which requires the "ability to read and write English well enough" which I think I can.
- "the ability to read sources and assess their reliability." I have 3 good articles to prove that
- "the ability to communicate with other editors and abide by consensus." never had problems and always use civil language
- "the ability to understand their own abilities and competencies" which is why I imitate - when in doubt - the most reliable articles in the topic
- This is really strange and a new low espically coming from someone who is bloced 12 times for harrasement and disruptive editing FuzzyMagma (talk) 20:02, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- So, did you read this source [7] before you cited [8] it? What was your assessment of its reliability? And what language do you think it is written in? AndyTheGrump (talk) 20:15, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- Let's analyze this string of five reverts around the same item (so two over 3RR) in response to JPxG's removal (which JPxG initially described as a copyedit which admittedly was not a good enough summary): 1
I will add the BBC ref for this infromation. Please tag rather delete to allow for a chance to amend
/starts edit warring/; 2ce
/fake edit summary in relation to JPxG's subsequent more detailed revert rationale/; 3 /an entirely nonsensical edit summary/; 4use a civil language please and provide a reason more than "fuck all"
/but JPxG had already provided a reason that FuzzyMagma did not address and he's reverting what is originally JPxG's removal, so this is a false edit summary, and an attempt to evade discussion/; 5 /an irrelevant or nonexistent edit summary for a bundled-edit fifth revert/. So, in addition to what AndyTheGrump said: Due to making fake and false and irrelevant and nonsensical edit summaries during a content dispute, while edit warring, it seems to me that FuzzyMagma is not able to handle content disputes, and is probably not capable of staying constructive when it really counts, so I agree that it would be useful to extend the block to an indefinite duration.—Alalch E. 20:31, 4 June 2023 (UTC)- If you talking about JPxG please see the talk. I removed their tag one by one with a comment and ask them to revert my edit if they disagree. Your 2 is a ce, 4 was not JPxG put another editor, 5 is an edit conflict FuzzyMagma (talk) 04:48, 5 June 2023 (UTC)
- You created a talk section after JPxG's longer rationale countering his reasons for why the information should be removed, and ten minutes later, before he would respond, you reverted with the edit summary "ce". How is it "ce" if you're obviously having a content dispute? That's why I am calling it a fake edit summary, but maybe you think that it's okay to describe such an edit as a copyedit. It is not okay. Going further, it does not matter that 4 is another editor. That's why you don't edit war against multiple editors; it's not a series of duels, it doesn't matter who your "opponent" is, it matters what the decision will be regarding content. And regarding 5, edit conflicts will happen during edit wars which is avoided by not edit warring. Does this help?—Alalch E. 08:36, 5 June 2023 (UTC)
- I think I should have disengaged, and assessed the situation later. Maybe the ban was for my own good tbh. Anyway, 1st time and I really hope never again. It’s not constructive and make you assume bad things which doesn’t help me or this project. Stay safe FuzzyMagma (talk) 08:55, 5 June 2023 (UTC)
