Redundant source
My apologies for my addition of the redundant source to the Crash Bandicoot articles. I checked the existing source to confirm it was from a different publication and didn't think to look more closely than that. I appreciate your catching my mistake. Martin IIIa (talk) 00:29, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Martin IIIa: No prob. It was an easy detail to overlook. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 00:57, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
Digital Dream Door
I see that you've made a few genre updates using Digital Dream Door as a source. It doesn't appear to be a reliable source, with its user-generated content. THought I'd leave you a message before I reverted. Doctorhawkes (talk) 06:22, 3 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Doctorhawkes: That's alright. I'm not quite so familiar with music sources, so guess I had that coming. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 07:02, 3 March 2023 (UTC)
- No harm done. Doctorhawkes (talk) 08:43, 3 March 2023 (UTC)
Advice
Thanks for the rating of X3 but I'm lately editing the main character of those games, X (Mega Man). At first I wrote the reception like a video game reception section with generalizations but due to fancruft I rewrote with sources focus primarily on the character, including some scholars articles. Do you think it still lacks something for a GA review? Should some parts still be removed? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 19:31, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Tintor2: I went ahead and did what I could for that section. I can't say I'm all that knowledgeable in Mega Man, but I will say the amount of research is commendable, and that the process of a GA review at this point would certainly help you better than I probably could. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 18:26, 31 March 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks. The thing is that I had no idea what material was acceptable for a character article. I remember adding part of how the character moves but that was unrelated to him and instead felt more like fancruft after talking with another user.Tintor2 (talk) 19:05, 31 March 2023 (UTC)
Harry Potter
Hello! I was wondering what your thoughts would be on adding the GBA version of the Philosopher's Stone game to the GBC article you made, and simply labeling it as the handheld article. Obviously there's quite a bit more on the GBC game (great job with the split by the way!), but I think it makes more sense for the Gameboy Advance game to be there instead of being grouped with the console games. Breaktheicees (talk) 17:48, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Breaktheicees: My plan is actually to split the GBA version into its own article as well, since it's significantly different in gameplay from the GBC version and has enough critical coverage to justify an individual page. What I'm really pondering right now is how to handle the PC version when the time comes, since it was released on both Windows and Mac. My choices of title are either (PC video game) to accommodate both versions or (Windows video game) since it was ported to Mac later on and the earlier platform takes title priority in this sort of scenario. I'm personally leaning toward the former, but I think I'll ask for some peer input on that matter later. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 18:51, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
- Sounds good! I initially didn't think there would be enough coverage for that, but you have proven me wrong with the GBC article and did a great job there. For the PC version, I'd also go with (PC video game). Breaktheicees (talk) 14:03, 19 April 2023 (UTC)

GA Question
Have you ever considered going back to some of your GAs and getting them to FA? QuicoleJR (talk) 17:13, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
- @QuicoleJR: Tried getting Crash Bandicoot (video game) up there twice, but both candidacies closed due to lack of input. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 17:15, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
- Ok. I was asking because I would quite like to see Doki Doki Literature Club! reach FA status but I don't know how to get it there. QuicoleJR (talk) 17:17, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
- @QuicoleJR: If you want to try making the page suitable for FA candidacy, you'd best study the FA criteria and probably start a peer review to get some outside input in the matter. However, since it doesn't seem like you have any Good Articles under your belt, I'd suggest getting a few of those done so that you have an idea of what goes into those, especially since the criteria for FAs is far stricter than for GAs. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 17:31, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
- I will probably do that. Maybe I'll be back to this one in a couple years. For now, I'm thinking about getting Super Kirby Clash to GA, but it needs more development info. QuicoleJR (talk) 17:33, 1 May 2023 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Garrettw87. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, X (Mega Man), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you think I made a mistake, you can let me know by replying here. If you can find a good source for Phil Hayes being X's voice in the TV show, feel free to re-add it, but a cursory check of IMDB suggests the article had it right before. — Garrett W. {☎ ✍} 05:38, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
- Hey, so I did some additional checking on this issue and it seems the internet cannot agree on which of the two voiced X. A good few places credit one or both of them only as "Additional Voices", and others mention only one or the other specifically as X's voice. Do you think we could add something like "various sources disagree on whether he was voiced by Michael Donovan[1][2][3] or Phil Hayes[4][5][6]"? And/or something saying that both of them are also credited as "additional voices" in other sources?
- As an aside, it's interesting to me that both of them worked on the series ReBoot from that same year, which I loved as a kid. (I know it would be WP:OR, but I wonder if it would be possible to dig up clips from both series and compare X's voice with one or more of the characters in ReBoot that we know were voiced by one or the other, just for personal curiosity's sake.) — Garrett W. {☎ ✍} 16:20, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
- Found the "Mega X" episode here -- checked the end credits and they include both Hayes and Donovan without specifying roles. — Garrett W. {☎ ✍} 16:28, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
- X enters around 9:30 — Garrett W. {☎ ✍} 16:45, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Garrettw87: Looking at the credits is useless anyway since the list of names they use every episode is consistent throughout the season. Anyway, if a statement can't be reliably verified, then it's better off not being stated at all. Just mentioning that X appeared on the show would be perfectly sufficient, and trying to attach an actor one way or another would just be OR. However, if you want my opinion, I've heard enough of Donovan's voice work to confidently say that it isn't him. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 17:35, 8 May 2023 (UTC)

Hey! While I do agree that the film is generally aimed towards children, there's nothing in the article indication that it was a children's film specifically. Categories generally need to be supported by the article itself. ― Blaze WolfTalkblaze__wolf 03:01, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Blaze Wolf: Considering the rest of Pixar's library, I didn't think there'd be any controversy about it. Anyway, I wouldn't be sure how to organically incorporate that kind of detail if it's so necessary, especially since the other Pixar movie pages have thus far been included in "children's"-related categories without question. American animated television seasons
You are in the wrong here. This category is for AMERICAN ANIMATED shows, not Japanese anime that happened to air in the U.S. in syndication. I would easily win this case if I brought it up to an administrative noticeboard. Do not edit war with me over this, in fact you should help me revert your misguided use of the category. GalaxyFighter55 (talk) 05:38, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
- Let me make this perfectly clear: I'm going to undo these same seasons again, and if you undo them one more time I will send a notice to the edit war noticeboard, which I will clearly win here. This is your last chance.--GalaxyFighter55 (talk) 05:41, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
- @GalaxyFighter55: I fully understand what the description for the categories I just created entails, and I don't exactly appreciate you proclaiming your own interpretation as law over me. For your benefit, I'll reiterate that it clearly states that the categories are for "Animated television seasons that have aired at least one episode in the United States in the year (such and such)". At no point is the nationality of the television season's creator stipulated. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 05:47, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Cat's Tuxedo: Upon review, you might have a legit case here. It seems I might have possibly misunderstood the implications of the category itself. Let me look around for some more info real quick. Do not touch the articles until I reply back.--GalaxyFighter55 (talk) 05:51, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Cat's Tuxedo: Alright, it seems your case checks out. I would like to apologize for jumping to conclusions and I will revert them back now. Hopefully there's no hard feelings for the trouble I caused you; I truly thought the category was what it entailed on the title itself.--GalaxyFighter55 (talk) 05:58, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
