Question from DMorningstar99 (19:44, 18 March 2024)

Hello, will all creation and editing formats be done in coding languages? I would like a rundown as to how I can create and how I create a page. Thank you. I am familiar a bit with python but I doubt that is what is used. --DMorningstar99 (talk) 19:44, 18 March 2024 (UTC)

DMorningstar99, Good day. Frist of all pls read WP:Your First Article to understand what is needed. Secondly, pls use horizontal format Template:Citeweb for inline citation (source). And lastly pls see Help:Wikitext for some basic markup language. The point is that for a subject to have a page/article in Wikipedia, the subject need to pass the notability guidelines which means the subject needs to have significant coverage from independent, reliable sources such as from the books or major newspaper (no social media/official websites/any sites that related to the subject) where by the sources talk about in length and in depth and not passing mentioned for verification. It depends what is the subject, some subject would have a certain format set up by the Wikipedia project page. Let me know if you if you need further assistance for I am here to help. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 23:22, 22 March 2024 (UTC)

Question from Justfacts10 (11:05, 23 March 2024)

Hi mentor,

Please how do obey Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements? I have gone through this [12] but I still don't know how to go about it.

Please walk me through it. I'm trying to create a page.

Best regards, --Justfacts10 (talk) 11:05, 23 March 2024 (UTC)

Justfacts10 Good day. Pls let me know are you a paid editor and which company/subject that paid you to write an article? Cassiopeia talk 11:57, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
I don't understand what you mean by a paid editor. I usually edit without getting paid. However, I have a paid gig on my desk and I'm trying to figure out how to go about creating the page.
How do I make it work? Justfacts10 (talk) 12:09, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
Justfacts1 If you have a paid gig for creating an article that make you a paid editor. By the way, what is the subject? Is that Draft:Jaytime? Cassiopeia talk 12:44, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
yes,it is. Justfacts10 (talk) 12:45, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
Justfacts10, you draft has been declined 3 times due to the subject is not notable as per Wikipedia guidelines and could not be able to have a page in Wikipedia. Pls read WP:Your First Article.
For Paid editor disclosure, you need to indicate that in the article talk page - here indicating you are a paid editor for singer "Jaytime" in Nigeria. You also need to indicate that in your user page of the same info. Pls use this for the article talk page and the template is under "you should post the disclosure at the top of article talk pages as follows:". As for your user page pls first template under Text usage on user pages. By the way, pls note that even paid editor is allowed in Wikipedia, however, it is highly discouraged. Cassiopeia talk 13:00, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
Thank you. I think I have indicated that in the article talk page - here indicating that I am a paid editor for the singer "Jaytime" in Nigeria. Please help me review if I am missing something. Justfacts10 (talk) 18:08, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
Justfacts10 Reviewed. As mentioned to you before, subject fail the notability guidelines.21:22, 23 March 2024 (UTC)

public draft help

Hello, could you please help me by reviewing my translation of and article? Draft:Siergiej_Davidis I cannot publish on English Wiki, or so it seems. This is a translation of my article in Polish. I will work on some references, finding info in English rather than in Polish, but the body of the text is there. Kind regards, IddyIggy (talk) 08:32, 24 March 2024 (UTC) IddyIggy

New Pages Patrol newsletter April 2024

Hello Cassiopeia,

New Page Review queue January to March 2024

Backlog update: The October drive reduced the article backlog from 11,626 to 7,609 and the redirect backlog from 16,985 to 6,431! Congratulations to Schminnte, who led with over 2,300 points.

Following that, New Page Patrol organized another backlog drive for articles in January 2024. The January drive started with 13,650 articles and reduced the backlog to 7,430 articles. Congratulations to JTtheOG, who achieved first place with 1,340 points in this drive.

Looking at the graph, it seems like backlog drives are one of the only things keeping the backlog under control. Another backlog drive is being planned for May. Feel free to participate in the May backlog drive planning discussion.

It's worth noting that both queues are gradually increasing again and are nearing 14,034 articles and 22,540 redirects. We encourage you to keep contributing, even if it's just a single patrol per day. Your support is greatly appreciated!

2023 Awards

Onel5969 won the 2023 cup with 17,761 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 50/day. There was one Platinum Award (10,000+ reviews), 2 Gold Awards (5000+ reviews), 6 Silver (2000+), 8 Bronze (1000+), 30 Iron (360+) and 70 more for the 100+ barnstar. Hey man im josh led on redirect reviews by clearing 36,175 of them. For the full details, see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone for their efforts in reviewing!

WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers deployed the rewritten NewPagesFeed in October, and then gave the NewPagesFeed a slight visual facelift in November. This concludes most major work to Special:NewPagesFeed, and most major work by the WMF Moderator Tools team, who wrapped up their major work on PageTriage in October. The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers will continue small work on PageTriage as time permits.

Recruitment: A couple of the coordinators have been inviting editors to become reviewers, via mass-messages to their talk pages. If you know someone who you'd think would make a good reviewer, then a personal invitation to them would be great. Additionally, if there are Wikiprojects that you are active on, then you can add a post there asking participants to join NPP. Please be careful not to double invite folks that have already been invited.

Reviewing tip: Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages within their most familiar subjects can use the regularly updated NPP Browser tool.

Question from TIRue on Gang stalking (12:40, 3 April 2024)

How can we protect "Zerzetsung" from being removed in the See also.section? --TIRue (talk) 12:40, 3 April 2024 (UTC)

@MrOllie and TIRue:, Hi TIRue, Good day and loop in MrOllie here as User MrOllie reverted your edit. I am not familiar with paranoid delusions mental state subject but my understand is that Gang stalking is a Psychosis and not a Zerzetsung. However, to say that I think MrOllie can explain to your better (have a discussion) at the article talk page on this matter. Pls do not forget to ping the editor when a discussion message is set up. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 02:33, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
Thank you for your response. I think we need to stay away from the narrative/reporting that Gangstalking is any sort of medical diagnosis I.e psychosis (result) and more so an (action) I E act to carry out surveillance.
Much like gangstalking, and as proven by history. Zerzetzung an (action) was carried out....
"With the aim to disrupt the working of groups and the lives of individuals to such a degree that their activism became ineffective, or more preferably, ceased altogether."
Targets report that Gangstalking is meant to disrupt every aspect of their life.
It is alleged that common targets are whistleblowers, dissidents, undesirables, minorities, working class and political opponents.
@MrOllie: thoughts? TIRue (talk) 03:59, 9 April 2024 (UTC)

Inches to cm

74 inches in cm is 187.96 and not 190 cm. According to your edit on Nate Marquardt, you lack basic knowledge and tend to just edit or revert for the sake of it. Be better. Articlread (talk) 02:11, 6 April 2024 (UTC)

Articlread As per source it is 74inches and see my last edit. You place the stand which have no source. You are welcome to add it back provided there is a source to support it and that is the warning message was for. Pls do not remove the year in which the fighter fought in certain divisions. Cassiopeia talk 02:14, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
You did the work for me. Thanks alot and thanks to me, you now know that 74 inches is equal to 188 cm and not 190 cm. Articlread (talk) 02:24, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
Articlread info is as per source in inches and I didnt put conversion. Pls do not remove the source as it is a vandalism edit. Cassiopeia talk 02:26, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
