Draft Declined

Thank you for reviewing my article Draft:Sant Isher Singh.

I have used books, videos, reliable Indian sources, websites etc... but this was still declined. Please can you elaborate on what was missing from your side so I can see how to improve. I've seen 100,000 more Wikipedia pages without any of these sources but they've had no issues with approval. Jattlife121 (talk) 12:40, 26 August 2024 (UTC)

@CFA If you could give an update that would be great ! Jattlife121 (talk) 19:23, 1 September 2024 (UTC)

DYK for Rachel Scott (journalist)

On 2 September 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Rachel Scott (journalist), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Rachel Scott (journalist). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Rachel Scott (journalist)), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Reversions

Hi CFA, I recently signed up to be a Mentor and I've been assigned as the mentor for User:Abu Imad al-Haydari. I noticed that you have reverted most of the edits they have made, but I am not entirely sure why? You said "block evasion" on one of the reversions, are they an SPA I should be worried about? Many thanks. GraziePrego (talk) 02:54, 2 September 2024 (UTC)

@GraziePrego: Yeah, they're Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/SheryOfficial. I'll file an SPI if they edit again, though they tend to switch accounts immediately once found. C F A 💬 02:58, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
Ah I see, thank you. I will keep an eye on them too. GraziePrego (talk) 02:59, 2 September 2024 (UTC)

Question from ARRTech (09:30, 3 September 2024)

Hi, I created an initial draft of an article about my company, which was subjected to a "speedy deletion" within a couple hours. I understand that the article must adhere to Wikipedia's standards for objectivity and neutrality, and was in the process of ensuring that my suggested article would comply. I'd greatly appreciate any tips you could offer. --ARRTech (talk) 09:30, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

@ARRTech: It was deleted because it was unambiguous advertising. I'm not an administrator so I can't see the contents of the deleted article. Please note that Wikipedia is not a means of promotion for your company. Before you do anything further, please follow the instructions I've left you on your talk page related to paid editing. I'm also not sure what your username refers to, but it cannot refer to an organization or group of people. C F A 💬 14:59, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

Improving score of Heat 2 page

Hi CFA,

I've made many revisions to Heat 2 and was hoping to get your input as to how to get it to above a C grade on the content scale.

Thank you. Iheartmylibrary22 (talk) 05:53, 24 August 2024 (UTC)

@Iheartmylibrary22: Great job on the article. You can request an independent reassessment at Wikipedia:WikiProject Wikipedia/Assessment#Requesting an assessment or check out the B-class criteria yourself at WP:BCLASS. Have you considered nominating the article for DYK to have it featured on the Main page? C F A 💬 17:32, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
Belated reply but unfortunately the article is/was still considered C-grade. I did end up nominating it for DYK. Thanks again for your help. Iheartmylibrary22 (talk) 18:41, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

Question from Bibliotekaris (19:19, 3 September 2024)

Hello! I joined today. I would like to create a profile page where i can publish my credentials. Can you advise where that is? Thanks in advance. --Bibliotekaris (talk) 19:19, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

Seems like you've got it sorted out. I've left some helpful links on your talk page. Let me know if you have any other questions. Happy editing! C F A 💬 21:03, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

Draft Declined: Microsoft Azure Quantum - Question from User:CBathka (12:36, 3 September 2024)

@CFA: I completed significant edits to Draft:Microsoft Azure Quantum based on your feedback and help from the live chat. Is there anything else that should be fixed before submitting the draft for review? — Preceding unsigned comment added by CBathka (talkcontribs) Thanks!

@CBathka: I don't do re-reviews, but if you think it is ready to be submitted then feel free to do so. Another reviewer will check it out. Happy editing, C F A 💬 21:05, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

Hi

Why do you keep removing my edits even the ones on talk pages. I think this could be classified as WP:Hound Somaliaficionado (talk) 15:44, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

I was going to tell you to log into your original account and request an unblock, but it appears that you're WP:3X banned. Not sure what to say other than maybe you should stop creating new accounts if you want to edit Wikipedia again. C F A 💬 21:00, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
What account? Are you still accusing me of being Bennyblanco10? You can’t just revert someone’s edits just because you suspect they might be an alt you have to prove it first. No it to mention I’ve reverted his edits and reported his socks on previous occasions. Somaliaficionado (talk) 04:36, 4 September 2024 (UTC)

Question from Tophernil (21:28, 4 September 2024)

Hi CFA. What a pleasure to be in contact with you and have your advice. I made an edit on the MediaWiki website today, but that edit does not appear to be reflected on the Wikipedia website. Do I need to make the change on both websites?

For context, here's the page I edited on MediaWiki (the change I made should be highlighted when the webpage loads on your device): https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Keyboard_shortcuts#:~:text=Internet%20Explorer%0AEdge-,Alt%2B%E2%87%A7%20Shift,-Safari

And this is the corresponding Wikipedia page (no edit): https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Help:Keyboard_shortcuts#:~:text=Windows-,hold,-Alt%2Baccess%20key%5B

Edit: Alt to Alt+⇧ Shift.

Cheers! --Tophernil (talk) 21:28, 4 September 2024 (UTC)

@CFA Solved. After reading some more about the topic, I learned that any errors I want to correct must be corrected on the relevant website, even if the same or similar error is on both websites. They are independent of each other due to their use-cases and nature (encyclopedia vs. documentation for MediaWiki software). I need to edit both. Tophernil (talk) 22:43, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
Great. Let me know if you have any other questions – I've also left some helpful links on your talk page. Happy editing! C F A 💬 00:42, 5 September 2024 (UTC)

Correns Corporation

Hello CFA, on 23rd Jul, you`ve reviewed my Correns Corporation article. In the meantime, I have fixed it according to your findings. Is it possible that you have a look at it again to confirm? Have a great weekend! Merged account (talk) 04:14, 6 September 2024 (UTC)

Changes to European Conservatives and Reformists

Hi @CFA,

I saw the changes you made to the ECR disambiguation page (https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=European_Conservatives_and_Reformists&curid=23315743&diff=1244239412&oldid=1244138439).

Could you kindly explain them a little? Like, why keep "soft eurosceptic" but not "conservative"? Why remove the links to "European political party" and "political groups of the European Parliament", when the difference is very often not well-known? And why not leave a few words to explain the difference between the composition of the group and of the party? All of that felt rather useful.

Thanks! Julius Schwarz (talk) 04:33, 6 September 2024 (UTC)

Draft:Ljubica_Adžović

Dear @CFA:, thank you for taking the time to review my draft (Draft:Ljubica_Adžović) as well as providing further explanations as to why you declined it. I addressed your comment and removed all blog posts from the text's References. While I will write to the blog authors to check if they can help me find a reliable sources, I documented why citations are needed for all those statements that are now missing a referece. Since the draft seems to now comply with the AfC submission guidelines, I will resubmit it. I would be happy if you would consider reviewing it again. In any case, thank you again for your time and help. Bagnacan (talk) 18:11, 8 September 2024 (UTC)

Question from Therealmarkvanwoert (19:27, 11 September 2024)

There is no reason that I can not have a Wiki page about myself. How do I go about doing so? --Therealmarkvanwoert (talk) 19:27, 11 September 2024 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) Actually there is a reason why we can't have a "wiki page" (article) about you, Wikipedia only has articles about people who pass the criteria at WP:GNG, which you currently don't. Theroadislong (talk) 20:55, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
