Article for Deletion

Hi Bonadea. I left a note on this AfD https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Jessica_Pilot

I pointed out that there are wiki articles about authors with similar notability that are deemed uncontroversial.

If it's all possible, could we retain the article I created, if only temporarily so I can add more references to it and establish notability?

Thanks so much WikiBear2000 (talk) 18:48, 27 September 2017 (UTC)

I dont know what I'm doing

How do i leave my name and timestamp on my edits without having to type it manually? Hi can you help me I'm new here — Preceding unsigned comment added by 6SyXx6 (talkcontribs) 07:13, 10 September 2017 (UTC)

William C. West

I am William C. West Jr. A very reliable source when it comes to my father, William C. West Sr. and his career in the C.I.C. both during and after WWII when he retired from the military and went to work for the C.I.A. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Closer66 (talkcontribs) 10:11, 1 July 2017 (UTC)

Thank you for your message. I understand your concern and do not doubt the veracity of what you say. However, one of Wikipedia's most basic principles is that all information has to be supported by independent published sources - this is further discussed and explained on this page. A Wikipedia editor (such as you or me) can never be a source; if Queen Elizabeth II came to Wikipedia to edit articles about her parents, her edits would still need independent sources.
Another issue with your edit to Counterintelligence Corps was that the section "Notable CIC agents" only mentions people who are notable according to Wikipedia's peculiar definition of notability. Ideally, there should be an existing Wikipedia article, showing the person's notability supported by reliable independent sources, before his or her name is added to the list; if there is no article, the addition of the name has to be sourced (and again, personal knowledge doesn't count, I'm afraid.) Also note that as Mr. West's son, you have a conflict of interest which means that you should avoid directly editing articles about him, or adding his name to articles. You can post to Talk:Counterintelligence Corps and request that the article be edited. To do this, go to the talk page, add the text {{request edit}} (including the curly brackets) to the page, and below that the text of your request. An uninvolved editor will look at your request and decide whether to implement it. Regards, --bonadea contributions talk 11:36, 1 July 2017 (UTC)

More on that sock

I found Autistic Furry and blocked after seeing that you had tagged the sock. Thank you, that was helpful. It is an older account but before we adjust any tags, I suspect that this belongs to a more established sock that likes to troll. I have to get ready and leave out so I can't continue at the moment but I have been comparing our guy to this case and some of his puppets and I got there via this editor. What do you think? I see a good deal of similarities. Have to run.

Thanks - yes, I think you're right. I don't have time to delve deeply into it now, but my impression is definitely that it's the same person, though they seem to have relocatedfrom Manitoba to Alberta in the meantime. --bonadea contributions talk 17:01, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
Thank you. I have filed the SPI case and we'll see where it goes from there.

Reasons for removing Page delete template from Ravi D. Channannavar Page

@bonadea Please do check the number of people do search with keyword Ravi D Channannavar. Average of 230 people/Day do visit this page to get information Pageviews Analysis. Ravi D. Channannavar is a very famous Police officer unlike other police officers, He has gained lot of respect over Karnataka, India by his unique way of doing his duty. Most of the content here is referred from News papers (which has 6 crores of Readers) & TV Interview. He has been appeared in TV Shows Weekend with Ramesh where achievers are invited to share their story so that People can inspire from it. My sincere request it to not to delete this page. Please do search in Google about this person, off the wikipedia page you will get tons of articles and TV interview about him(Kindly use https://www.google.co.in for searching. This is India search engine). Please don't conclude about the notability. Please do let us know if any concerns. Thank you!

Please do use https://www.google.co.in for searching, this is what we get default search engine URL in india. Don't go by https://www.google.com which you are doing above. Before concluding about his notability check below.

This belongs on the AfD discussion page, where it has also been posted. (Please be very careful not to draw conclusions about other Wikipedia users. Thank you.) --bonadea contributions talk 17:41, 8 July 2017 (UTC)

@bonadea Yes, added these comments on discussion page. What i'm trying to say is you could have added some other template to make article more Neutral instead of deletion template. As i said earlier in my comment this page got 230 avg views per day. By simply deleting this page means we are disappointing those readers who came to read wiki article. I have respect towards all wikipedia Users :) I had put lot of time and effort to do research on this topic and create this wikipedia article, so bit worried about this page  :(
NaveenNkadalaveni (talk) 17:56, 8 July 2017 (UTC)

Notability unfortunately cannot be addressed by rewriting the page. Yes, I could have removed the entire "Achievements" section in order to get rid of most of the promotional/non-neutral content, but the reason the article is nominated for deletion is not lack of neutrality, it is lack of notability. I understand completely the frustration when an article you have worked on is nominated for deletion - it has happened to me, too, and to most active editors - but it's important to recognise two things: 1) the nomination is not about you or any other Wikipedia editor, and it is not a slight on your work. 2) That a person is not notable according to Wikipedia's peculiar definition of the word does not in any way mean that they are not worthy or important. As I wrote in my nomination statement, a person can do their job incredibly well, but that does not in itself make them notable per Wikipedia's definition. Thank you, --bonadea contributions talk 18:36, 8 July 2017 (UTC)
Looking at the article history, unfortunately it seems that although it was previously flagged for inappropriate tone and a lack of third-party sources, those tags were removed without the issues having been addressed. Hence, tagging the article would probably not have served any purpose. --bonadea contributions talk 18:58, 8 July 2017 (UTC)
@bonadea Yes, It was flagged to improve that article. Accordingly i have made certain changes to bring that article to some Neutral point. You can see some dozens of edits from me right after that flag template. In fact i have asked my friend who is Non-Wikipedia user to check this and give comments to make it Neutral & to change its tone (That's what we call Buddy-Check in our Software Engineering). This is my First article which has highest view till today :) Page Views -- NaveenNkadalaveni (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 19:28, 8 July 2017 (UTC)

That is not what the source says. It mentions a wife and two children, nothing about a son by any name. In addition, it is unlikely that the son should be mentioned by name anyway, per Wikipedia's rules for biographies about living people. @VidhiV: Thank you for your message. The release date needs a reliable source, and IMDb is not a reliable source per Wikipedia's definition, because it is based on user submitted info with very little editorial oversight. Please see this information. Different people have added different release dates to the Wikipedia article, and unless there is a reliable, secondary source such a date should not be added. Hypnotherapy

Hi Bonadea, thank you for the information. I am new to Wikipedia editing and appreciate your feedback. The Hypnotherapy page has many errors and incorrect definitions. Ideally I would like to go through the whole article and track changes where there are errors, however at this stage I am only making changes to the following major mistakes on the page:

1. Hypnotherapy is a form of psychotherapy (Brom, D., Kleber, R. J., & Defares, P. B. (1989). Brief psychotherapy for posttraumatic stress disorders. Journal of consulting and clinical psychology, 57(5), 607; Haley, J. (1963). Strategies of psychotherapy; Wolberg, L. R. (1948). Medical hypnosis, Vol. 2. The practice of hypnotherapy; Zeig, J. K., & Munion, W. (1990). What is psychotherapy?: Contemporary perspectives. Jossey-Bass).

2. Hypnotherapy benefits are not placebo, they are cognitive, neurological and therapeutic (Bernheim, H. (1964). Hypnosis & suggestion in psychotherapy: a treatise on the nature and uses of hypnotism. Tr. from the 2d rev. University Books; Eimer, B. N., & Freeman, A. (1998). Pain management psychotherapy: A practical guide. New York, NY: John Wiley & Sons; Wolberg, L. R. (1948). Medical hypnosis, Vol. 2. The practice of hypnotherapy; Walters, C., & Havens, R. A. (1993). Hypnotherapy for health, harmony, and peak performance: Expanding the goals of psychotherapy. Psychology Press).

3. Hypnotherapy applications are used in a clinical setting for psychotherapy and counselling, not for stage hypnosis and hypnosurgery (Brom, D., Kleber, R. J., & Defares, P. B. (1989). Brief psychotherapy for posttraumatic stress disorders. Journal of consulting and clinical psychology, 57(5), 607; Guthrie, E., & Whorwell, P. J. (2002). Psychotherapy and hypnotherapy in IBS. Irritable bowel syndrome: diagnosis and treatment. London7 WB Saunders; Haley, J. (1963). Strategies of psychotherapy; Wolberg, L. R. (1948). Medical hypnosis, Vol. 2. Hypnotherapy- Removed user contribution

Hi Bonadea, I followed your instruction and both cited and explained my edits correctly. As mentioned previously, the hypnotherapy page has many errors that need to be fixed. It took me over 40 minutes to update the page and you simply deleted my updates for a second time. I look forward to your response. Many thanks. Arthur.

Thanks for supporting my run for administrator. I am honored and grateful. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 16:46, 23 July 2017 (UTC)

Wikipedia is open to all users, please refrain from posting threats on my page

I have only been polite and professional with the aim of providing correct and cited information. You haven't added any constructive information or references to the page, you have only been inappropriately policing my edits for some reason. Wikipedia encourages user participation and for users to make edits. I have been following the guidelines that you suggested ("The BOLD, revert, discuss cycle (BRD) is an optional method of reaching consensus. No one is ever required to follow this process, but it can sometimes be useful for identifying objections, keeping discussion moving forward and helping to break deadlocks. In other situations, you may have better success with alternatives to this approach."). You may need to review them yourself to ensure that you act appropriately, without discouraging people's contributions- The same rules apply to all users.

My edits to the Hypnotherapy page have been appropriate, however I will also add comments to the article's talk page shortly. Please be patient and non-threatening, I am only here to help make the information accurate. Kind regards.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Arthurmarx (talkcontribs) 20:07, 24 July 2017 (UTC)

I am sorry you think the warning template was threatening, but your claim that consensus is not mandatory did call for a stricter warning than the (several) personalised messages you had received previously. The key thing here is that the edits are not uncontroversial, and that means that a consensus building discussion is not optional. (Please read the most recent message on your user talk page carefully - you have not in fact added any references to the page, only in edit summaries - and one of the issues with your edits is the removal of sourced information, such as hypnotherapy being an alternative treatment.) Thank you for taking this to the article talk page, that is the important point. Regards, --bonadea contributions talk 20:11, 24 July 2017 (UTC)

Wheel construction is facing short of references

The ref you removed from Wheel construction is causing problems. The article has become very short of references, consider helping us in finding alternative reliable sources and improving article. Sinner (talk) 09:40, 26 August 2017 (UTC)

Thank you for your message, Nazim Hussain Pak. I would love to help improve the referencing, but unfortunately I am not knowledgeable in this field. The link I removed was inappropriate because it redirected to a website for selling products - even if there is informational content somewhere on that website, it is clear that the primary purpose of the site is commercial and not informational. (I was never able to find the page that was linked as a reference - every web browser I tried to view it in immediately redirected to the "Store locator" page, and I couldn't find the wheel construction info anywhere on the site). From what I can tell, it should be a notable topic, and I'm sure sources exist. Don't look for sources on commercial websites, though, because that's usually futile. Regards, --bonadea contributions talk 13:23, 26 August 2017 (UTC)
On my first look at that ref, it included wheel construction information with no advertisement. The page may have been changed after my visit. I shall try to find the page I referred there. Sinner (talk) 13:43, 26 August 2017 (UTC)
I have again visited the page at https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/techpage.jsp?techid=90 , it contains same information I added to article. We should provide this reference taking great care of avoiding promotion, as I didn't promote anything while writing information from there, we should restore this source as we are already short of references. Sinner (talk) 14:22, 26 August 2017 (UTC)
The source is VERY poor, is commercial as you have been told and is not a reliable source. Theroadislong (talk) 16:28, 26 August 2017 (UTC)
The link I removed was not tirerack.com, but https://www.americastire.com/learn/wheel-construction . That URL consistently redirects to https://www.americastire.com/store-locator for me. I agree that tirerack.com is not an appropriate source, either, so it shouldn't be used on Wikipedia. I can (sort of) understand the reasoning that a weak source is better than no source, but I do not agree with it - especially when the weak source is blatantly commercial. --bonadea contributions talk 16:44, 26 August 2017 (UTC)

Quebecois

Well first of all I'm half Quebecois myself (half Chinese). I obviously live in Quebec so I know what I'm saying. I don't know where exactly I could find reliable sources about what I mentioned. It's simply true.

"Many will consider being Canadian as an distinguished ethnic group. Those are mostly the Old Stock Canadians having their origins from the first English and French settlers. French Canadians, often mixed with Indigenous origins, mostly living in Quebec, are known as the Québécois."

From this text that I made and that I really want you to keep in the "Canadians" page, everything about it is true. There's even an "Old Stock Canadian" page on wikipedia.

Would you instead, mind to help me find some sources that mention Quebecois people as a distinguished nation and ethnic group? There's no proofs needed for that since we do exist but if you really need some, can you please help me out? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dannydubois1 (talkcontribs) 18:48, 10 September 2017 (UTC)

Thank you for your message, Dannydubois1. One of the most frustrating things about Wikipedia is that sometimes we simply know that something is true, but it still cannot be added to the encyclopedia. The text you wanted to add has some issues: for one thing, stating that "Many will consider that [...]" is a weasel expression and Wikipedia's manual of style specifically says that that expression should be avoided unless there is a clear source for the information. There is also the fact that the article already discusses the major ethnic groups in Canada (34 of them), which contradicts the claim that there is one unified Canadian ethnicity. Although 32% of the population gave "Canadian" as their ethnicity in the most recent census, and this is discussed in the article (with sources!), putting this group in the opening section of the article would probably give it undue weight. Maybe there could be more information about Canadian as a distinct ethnicity in the article, but only if there are sources for it. Wikipedia's verifiability policy is one of the most important ones - if we as editors know something from our personal experience it is almost never possible for us to add it to an article unless there is a source for it. Especially not if the information is challenged, as your additions have been by several different editors.
What you should do if you want to change the article is post to the article's talk page with your suggestions for changes and improvements. This is because your proposed changes have already been challenged in the article, and the principle Bold, Revert Discuss requires that reverted edits should be discussed rather than replaced. That's of course what you are doing here - thank you for that :-) But it would be better if you raised the topic at Talk:Canadians, since other editors who are interested and knowledgeable about the subject will have a chance to see it there. Further explanation is required

Hello Bonadea, I wanted to let you know that you should justify your decision regarding my recent contributions to "Paid to click" article, which you have removed because you claim they appeared to be promotional. The paragraph you have removed was showing the popularity of PTC websites based on 2 reliable 3rd party sources (Amazon Alexa and a newspaper from Colombia). If you claim that this paragraph was advertising, you should immediately delete the whole article on this page: Swagbucks, which coincidentally uses sources from Alexa Amazon as well. As a second example, this part:

"The most well-known PTS company was AllAdvantage.[1] It launched in March 1999 and grew to 13 million members in little over a year with the multi-level marketing system of recruiting new members."

should be immediately removed from this article: pay to surf

And there are many more things that should be removed by following the same logic or else, there will be double standards. I definitely appreciate your concern to keep Wikipedia clean, but I cannot help it, but think that your decision was a biased one and not properly justified (you did not even attempt to justify it before you pull the trigger which is certainly not polite). I hope you will reconsider your decision and promptly undo your last action or at the very least you should provide a justified reason for your decision and explain why you do not remove the content that follows the same pattern to explain the popularity of something from other articles related to the "paid to click" subject. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Manifeston (talkcontribs) 20:44, 17 September 2017 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia, Manifeston. The encyclopedia has five million articles or so, and many of them contain inappropriate content. That article "y" has promotional content can never be used as a justification for adding or keeping promotional content in article "x". Regards, --bonadea contributions talk 20:58, 17 September 2017 (UTC)

Just great. Thank you for welcoming me to Wikipedia Bonadea with a claim that Wikipedia is just a circus of actions based on double standards. According to common sense this is not the way you should welcome someone after you have crippled his work without any valid justification.

You mention advertising but you still have failed to explain what exactly is being advertised. When I pointed out that the same pattern I followed is being used in articles RELATED to the subject you decided to mention 5 million articles. If you can find 5 million articles related to the PTC model, I will buy you a drink or something. Furthermore, you made no comment on the reliable sources I had used, which means you consider them as reliable too.

I also noticed that another part of my contributions has been removed except for the paragraph explaining the recent growing popularity of PTC websites. The funny thing is that the rest of that paragraph that remained provides basically FALSE information since almost NO PTC website uses the Paid_to_click model nowadays. If you disagree you should let me know 4-5 popular PTC websites, which use that model. If you do not disagree, you should explain why that part has been removed as well since there was not any name, brand, etc. mentioned that could be considered as advertising.

I believe you should start explaining your actions and not just try to avoid me with "arguments" regarding the 5 million articles that Wikipedia has or more vague excuses. Please do not use "welcome" again since your past actions clearly show that for you I am not welcome to Wikipedia.

Hey @Bonadea: you removed some of the external links I posted to military schools. MilitarySchoolUSA is the top military school directory in the world and as such it lends authority to the schools and to the articles to have it as a reference. My goal was to help all of the military schools have better references and therefore to help Wikipedia.ACShaw7 (talk) 11:51, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

Hello ACShaw7, thank you for your message. I removed the website from articles such as Secondary school where it was not directly relevant to the article (a directory of just one type of school in one country doesn't belong in a general encyclopedia article about secondary schools worldwide), and also from other more general articles. I see that four or five other editors have also removed the links you added to articles about individual schools, usually citing this guideline, or this policy - those are important reasons for my link reverts, as well.
Another thing: you mention that you wanted the article to have the website in question as a reference, but that is not actually what you did. A reference is a source (online or offline) that supports some part of the information in the text itself. An external link at the end of the article is a different matter, and governed by the external links guideline.
I understand that your aim was to improve Wikipedia. If you would like more input on the directory website you added and whether it could be added as an external link (I don't believe it should, but other editors may have other opinions), you can ask at the Tea house where friendly experienced editors answer editing questions of all kinds, or alternatively at the External links noticeboard. New Page Reviewer Newsletter

Hello Bonadea, thank you for your efforts reviewing new pages!

Backlog update:

  • The new page backlog is currently at 14304 pages. We have worked hard to decrease from over 22,000, but more hard work is needed! Please consider reviewing even just a few pages a day.
  • Currently there are 532 pages in the backlog that were created by non-autoconfirmed users before WP:ACTRIAL. The NPP project is undertaking a drive to clear these pages from the backlog before they hit the 90 day Google index point. Please consider reviewing a few today!

Technology update:

  • The Wikimedia Foundation is currently working on creating a new filter for page curation that will allow new page patrollers to filter by extended confirmed status. For more information see: T175225

General project update:

  • On 14 September 2017 the English Wikipedia began the autoconfirmed article creation trial. For a six month period, creation of articles in the mainspace of the English Wikipedia will be restricted to users with autoconfirmed status. New users who attempt article creation will now be redirected to a newly designed landing page.
  • Before clicking on a reference or external link while reviewing a page, please be careful that the site looks trustworthy. If you have a question about the safety of clicking on a link, it is better not to click on it.
  • To keep up with the latest conversation on New Pages Patrol or to ask questions, you can go to Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers and add it to your watchlist.

Editor of the Week

Editor of the Week
Your ongoing efforts to improve the encyclopedia have not gone unnoticed: You have been selected as Editor of the Week in recognition of being calm and levelheaded. Thank you for the great contributions! (courtesy of the Wikipedia Editor Retention Project)

User:Buster7 submitted the following nomination for Editor of the Week:

I nominate Bonadea for her efforts, since 2007, to improve Wikipedia. On her User page she says she focuses on vandal fighting but there is so much more to her work. She has constantly been active accumulating 96000 edits, with 100% use of the edit summary and 52% to article mainspace. A very noticeable feature is the way she has effectively communicated with fellow editors over the years; forceful and informative with a human touch. Complimentary when necessary, stern when needed. Bonadea brings questionable usernames and edit warring to the attention of administrators. Requests for page protection, translation, and sock puppet investigation are a part of her decade of high quality contributions, with varied interests and pursuits. Bonadea is a great example of a calm, levelheaded and valuable editor who improves the Wikipedia community through her excellent work!

You can copy the following text to your user page to display a user box proclaiming your selection as Editor of the Week:

MarnetteD and MelanieN - thank you so much! You are, both of you, people I appreciate, and your praise means a lot. (I have to admit that I've had a slight bit of trouble keeping a calm demeanour recently...)

As regards adminship, it is of course flattering to be asked :-) I have sometimes thought that some of the tools would be useful (especially in SPIs), and I don't mind doing mopping-up type work, but there is no way I'd put myself through a RfA. Besides, though I wouldn't mind being in a position to evaluate and act on reports, I also like doing the work I do. I just wish I could help with the backlogs, sometimes... Anyway, that's a verbose way to say Thank you very much, I do appreciate the question, but I don't think so. --bonadea contributions talk 20:53, 25 September 2017 (UTC)

Akunin

Dear colleague, can I ask you for help?

I wrote 8 pages on the literary series Akunin "Brüderschaft with Death". How do I delete these pages? Please help me to solve this problem!

Ulugbeck1 (talk) 12:06, 8 November 2017 (UTC)

Hello Ulugbeck1. Do you mean that you want to delete the articles you started about those novels? Why would you want to do that? You could use the Articles for Deletion process, but it is very unlikely that the deletion discussion would end in a consensus to delete the articles, as the books are notable and there is no policy-based reason to delete them, that I can see. If I have misunderstood you and you are referring to something else, please let me know. Regards, --bonadea contributions talk 12:11, 8 November 2017 (UTC)

I wrote these articles as I thought necessary. But a colleague TheLongTone began to criticize me and edit my articles. I complained to the administrator. The administrator supported his colleague TheLongTone, not me.

https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard

So I want to delete what I wrote. This is WRONG Written. I'm not going to fix anything. And I just want to delete everything. Let a colleague TheLongTone write CORRECTLY.

Ulugbeck1 (talk) 12:18, 8 November 2017 (UTC)

Sorry, but none of us ever owns the articles we write - once we have submitted a text to Wikipedia, it belongs to the encyclopedia, and every editor has the right to make good-faith edits and improvements. None of us can insist on having our own preferred versions of articles, and as a matter of fact I agree that TheLongTone's edits were imptovements: their grasp of idiomatic English is considerably more sure (which is not strange as you are not a native speaker - that's why we keep the native speakers around, you know, to fix our language infelicities ;-) ) You did a good thing by creating these articles, and TLT did a good thing by improving them. Please do not feel injured - I do not know that you feel that way, but your posts indicate it - and just accept the fact that Wikpedia articles are a group effort. Regards, --bonadea contributions talk 12:29, 8 November 2017 (UTC)

To create these pages I was helped by a colleague who is proficient in English. Therefore, I reject the reference to the "incorrect" understanding of the language. Yes, creating pages is a collective creativity. And I do not have any rights to what I created. All right. But, to my great regret, I have one principle - I can only be ordered by the one who pays me))) Therefore, I prefer not to write anything more about Akunin's stories. I will look for some other interesting topic.

And thank you very much for the detailed explanations!

yours respectfully

And another question. Can you help with translating the pages of Akunin's stories into Swedish and placing them in the Swedish Wikipedia? This is absolutely serious!

https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boris_Akunin See how LIT information? Can we make this page better?

Ulugbeck1 (talk) 07:32, 10 November 2017 (UTC)

Thank you for the suggestion, but I'm afraid I don't edit Swedish Wikipedia to any great extent. I sometimes make minor edits to articles, but in order to write a longer piece I would have to do a lot of preparatory work, reading up on local policies and guidelines and so on. Swedish is my native language, but I have no experience writing in academic or encyclopedic Swedish, so that's another hurdle to overcome. Perhaps sometime in the future I might do so, but at the moment it is not something I'm interested in doing. --bonadea contributions talk 08:26, 10 November 2017 (UTC)

Too bad! In that case, can you recommend some Swedish or other colleague who will be interested in this topic?

Manhattan Fencing Center

Dear Bonadea,

I have been trying to update the Wikipedia page of Manhattan Fencing Center according to the most recent results and news in a form that is clear to everybody who is seeking to find factual information. While it is highly appreciated that you care so much about the content (especially the validity of it), the revision you revert the page to (802960281) is completely outdated. In addition, unfortunately, that revision does not provide a clear, transparent, understandable description of the club.

As a feedback I was messaged that the page contains features that seem like advertising. I tried to revise those parts and remove all texts and links that may make the page seem like an advertising, as my purpose is solely to create a clear, factual and understandable page. Now my revision simply contains a brief description, programs, features (foundations for example), and results in the tables (everything cited). I wanted to make the page as clear and transparent as possible, as the revision you revert it to does not provide updated factual information.

I am attempting to revert the current revision to the one I created before. Please, instead of reverting back to yours, let's try to collaborate and keep the current form - and maybe edit the content (or suggest an edition to me) that you think is inappropriate, to provide updated, clear source of info to the ones that are interested. Once again, the content is clearly based on facts, and everything is cited.

I really appreciate your help and consideration! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vf7wiki (talkcontribs) 14:38, 8 November 2017 (UTC)

Harassment?

How was I harassing User:Favonian? VeenM64 (talk) 00:09, 15 November 2017 (UTC)

By (a) posting frivolous warnings to Favonian's user talk page, (b) restoring them repeatedly (or creating new ones) when they were removed, (c) making an equally frivolous report to AIV requsting a block. The amusing thing is that the reason you accused F of harassment was his warnings to you regarding your repeated disruption here. If you consider valid warnings for serious disruption "harassment", it is peculiar that you fail to understand why frivolous warnings are just that. --bonadea contributions talk 06:32, 15 November 2017 (UTC)

Getting to Philosophy game

Hi Bonadea. Thought you might like to know (if you didn't already) that this edit, which you appropriately reverted, is related to the "Getting to Philosophy game". It turns out that, as described at Wikipedia:Getting to Philosophy, most Wikipedia articles have the property that: "clicking on the first link in the main text of a Wikipedia article, and then repeating the process for subsequent articles, will usually lead to the Philosophy article", (where "first link" is meant to be the first link which is neither in italics nor in parentheses). However some articles' link paths end in "loops". Currently, for example, the following loop exists: Knowledge -> Fact -> Knowledge. So any article whose link path ever enters such a loop, stays there and so never "gets to philosophy". The edit you reverted was intended to "fix" that loop so that more articles will "get to philosophy". You can see many other examples of attempts to break this link loop by looking at the edit histories of Knowledge and Fact. Paul August 17:08, 23 November 2017 (UTC)

Hi Paul August. Thanks for the pointer - I am actually aware of it, and in fact that's why I have Knowledge watchlisted. I just don't want to play along by acknowledging it in the edit summaries. Games are fun and there are some Wikipedia based games I enjoy - it's obviously a bad idea to change articles for the worse in order to accommodate a Wikipedia game, though. (And it removes the point of the game, as it is surely a form of cheating!) --bonadea contributions talk 17:22, 23 November 2017 (UTC)

"Spoons"

Please defend [2] at Talk:Spoon theory#WP:HORSE. Thank you. — Xiongtalk* 10:27, 26 November 2017 (UTC)

@Xiong: No need to "defend" it - it was simple housekeeping. You created a redirect and removed the article's introduction when you did so, and an anonymous editor removed the redirect without restoring the removed content. That was careless of the IP editor, but not exactly a capital offense. My subsequent edit simply restored the removed lede. I have no opinion on whether the term "spoon theory" is notable or not, as I have not evaluated the sources. I do agree with those who say that Ego depletion is a differenct concept, but if spoon theory is not in fact notable there may be other places to redirect it to. --bonadea contributions talk 11:00, 26 November 2017 (UTC)

Please discuss in the proper place. I will not smear it around several. Thank you. — Xiongtalk* 20:11, 26 November 2017 (UTC)

This is the relevant place to explain a) what my edits were (housekeeping, unrelated to the subject) and b) that I have no opinion on the matter. As I do not have an opinion on the matter, I won't join any talk page discussion. --bonadea contributions talk 20:15, 26 November 2017 (UTC)

Kunta people

This is a mess. I can find some copyvio (which in some cases was about a different ethnic group) but I suspect there is more. Wikiproject Africa isn't much help. I'm considering ANI or AfD. The only Kunta seem to be the Kunta (tribe). Doug Weller talk 13:50, 27 November 2017 (UTC)

I think they are different peoples, actually. I ran a search this morning on the library database (my university has an institute for African studies, which has a fair amount of literature) ; when I searched for "Kunta" I got a lot of hits for the Arabic-speaking tribe in Mali, but "Abakunta" yielded a couple of books that appear to be about this people - the titles mention the Luo. It seems to be a group that's not received a lot of attention, and I'm not sure whether it is in fact considered to be an ethnic group or not. One article from 1977 describes the Abakunta as a clan, but I'm not 100% sure it talks about the same people....
I could try to see if I can get hold of the books I found in the library database, but in the meantime, it may be as well to cut the article down to a stub. Remove the language information, since it actually says that the Olukunta is a dialect of Suba language, and we have no sources at all for that. --bonadea contributions talk 14:08, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
