Bogus sock accusation back again

I've asked for a speedy on Wikipedia talk:Sockpuppet investigations/ bonadeaphone. I recognize this, but I don't know if there is an applicable SPI case. Meters (talk) 17:28, 18 March 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for tagging it. The sockmaster (and SPI) is User:Nsmutte. Cheers,--bonadea contributions talk 17:53, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
Thanks. I'll know where to take it next time. Meters (talk) 18:03, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
Just curious, but is this a sock of the same editor Nsmutte? Deli nk (talk) 14:26, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) Yes! Favonian (talk) 14:33, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
And, can I ask, are all these recent IPs (bad faith AN3s etc) also Nsmutte? Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi 18:30, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) They're WP:DUCKS at the very least. Also, if you could see the deleted edits and the filter logs, you would see the text they use is recycled each time. I'm confident enough it's Nsmutte that I'm going on a blocking rampage for it. BethNaught (talk) 18:37, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
FYI, affected editors' contributions seem not to be safe either (e.g. John Harrington (knight), one of *mine*). Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi 18:43, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
I was worried that might happen. That one is blocked. BethNaught (talk) 18:46, 28 March 2016 (UTC)

man, you got so much hate in that SPI page...
Bonadea, Meters, Favonian, BethNaught, Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi, we got another at 103.58.127.181... well not quite since the Ip is blocked but this person based on behavior is extremely similar and from the same region. Winterysteppe (talk) 17:19, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

Editing Page: Tae Yun Kim

"Hello. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Tae Yun Kim seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you"

Thank you for checking on the validity of the article, I was simply adding more to Tae Yun Kim's personal life and added a new Section about her martial arts. I realize that this edit may seem odd because I just created this account, but I thought I would rather create an account and edit vs. editing without an account.

If you have any questions or concerns please let me know and I can address them.

Um.... You don't know even why I did that. Somaliland isa country no matter what anyone says. Although I was born in America, My origin comes from Somaliland. I am reporting this to Wikipedia.Maganhassan (talk) 08:52, 2 May 2016 (UTC)

Your edit here introduced factual errors regarding region names; since that edit followed an blatantly unconstructive edit to another article it is hardly strange that it would be viewed as random vandalism, especially since there was no explanation of it. Please use edit summaries to explain your edits. As for the status of Somaliland as a country, if you want to change how that is represented in Wikipedia you will have to discuss it on the article's talk page and achieve ansolid consensus in favour of any change. Hey, I can remove whatever I want because everyone but the content creator can remove the banner. Look at the speedy deletion rules. — Preceding unsigned comment added by J0203 (talkcontribs) 05:22, 8 May 2016 (UTC)

But Johnathan Lightfoot is not nominated for speedy deletion, it is listed at Articles for deletion which is a different process. A valid AfD template cannot be removed by anyone until the discussion is closed. (As for speedy deletion template removals, a brand new user showing up to remove a sd template is generally acting on the content creator's behalf, which is the same thing as if the creator had removed it themselves. But that is beside the point here.) --bonadea contributions talk 05:29, 8 May 2016 (UTC)

Please don't shout. Did you have a chance to look at some of the information that was posted to your user talk page? That will tell you the reasons why not every company in the world may have a Wikipedia article. Secondly, the article you wrote was entirely promotional, there was nothing in there that could have been used in a Wikipedia article about the company, even if the company had been notable enough to have a Wikipedia article.
Since you have decided to start insulting me, I'm going to have to ask you to stop posting to this talk page. Hello Miss Bonadea,

I understand your view on my posting on the Happy Science page though there is so much about Happy Science that is not explained in the wiki. (I am not a "miss" but that's ok - I'm not offended :-) ) As you have seen by another editor also reverting your edits, this is by no means my views, but the official policies of Wikipedia. Articles have to be written in a neutral tone and claims such as the ones you made in this edit are very far from being neutral. Please propose any changes you want to make on the article's talk page - here - instead of editing the article directly. Editors who are not affiliated with the Happy Science movement can then review the suggestions and make any necessary changes to the article. Thank you. --bonadea contributions talk 18:50, 14 May 2016 (UTC)

Nsmutte?

Hi, Bonadea. I blocked Dftghjk per WP:DUCK as a sock of Truthistruth777, but you have changed the sockmaster in the userpage tag to Nsmutte. Could you tell me what it is you recognize, please — did Nsmutte use to claim to be Bonadea, too? It would still be a bit odd, because Dftghjk edited User talk:Truthistruth777 — where do you suppose he got a notion like that, if he isn't Truthistruth777?

The reason I ask is that I blocked Truthistruth777 for two weeks for block evasion, and if that wasn't him, I want to lift the block. It's not a big deal, I suppose, since Truthistruth777 is so disruptive he'll probably soon be indeffed if he ever edits again. Still, I don't want to block him incorrectly. If there is any doubt, I'll lift the block. Bishonen | talk 20:15, 29 May 2016 (UTC).

Hi @Bishonen:. Nsmutte has a number of peculiar behavioural patterns - one of them has been to create sockpuppets with names that impersonate me (see Category:Wikipedia sockpuppets of Nsmutte), and a month or two ago, he'd scribble things like "bonadea is super editor" on random pages in a ham-fisted attempt to make it look like I was vandalising. He has also done some wikistalking - not very systematically, but from time to time - going to user talk pages I've posted to and posting attacks or messages for me. (I can't find any diffs for that just now - there have been too many socks.) Not just with me, for that matter, he also targets BethNaught and Favonian and a couple of other people, but I seem to be his favourite nemesis. Other indications is the username, which if you look at the list of socks is pretty standard Nsmutte, and his writing style as seen here. Truthistruth's English is quite frankly much better than Nsmutte's.
However, Truthistruth did evade his or her block as well, using an IP address (68.112.203.95) which was blocked as an IPsock by Boing! said Zebedee, around the same time you increased Truthistruth's block, so I thought that's why you did it. I agree with your suspicion about future editing habits, but maybe two weeks for IPsocking is harsher than necessary - I don't know. Anyway, I can look up diffs if you want better proof than just my conviction (I have been known to be wrong about things in the past :-) ) but am on my way to bed now so I'm afraid it will have to wait. Cheers, --bonadea contributions talk 20:38, 29 May 2016 (UTC)
Nah, it's not worth any more research. Thanks for your info. You know many people think having "Truth" in your username is reason enough for an indef? Not seriously, but tongue-in-cheek it's a good point, because very few such users turn out well. And as for having it twice in your username, well..! Bishonen | talk 20:47, 29 May 2016 (UTC).

Userspace protection

I noticed that Nsmutte has recently taken to creating vandalistic/attack pages in your user and user talk spaces. I believe that I can use the title blacklist to restrict editing, moving and creating of all your user subpages and user talk subpages, to autoconfirmed users. (This could also apply to Bonadeaphone.) Your user page and user talk page would be handled using the usual protection system.

Would you like me to do this? If yes, please look at my draft banner message (analagous to the red box saying this page is protected) and suggest any changes if you think appropriate (I'm trying to keep it general-purpose, but feedback is welcome).

Thank you, BethNaught (talk) 22:07, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

@BethNaught: Thanks, that does sound like it would be useful, and I appreciate it. I'll have a closer look at it when I get home tonight. --bonadea contributions talk 13:47, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
I'm going to try to implement this now. BethNaught (talk) 18:03, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
Done. I've tested it under admin, autoconfirmed and nonconfirmed accounts and it seems to be working. You shouldn't notice anything different, because at the moment autoconfirmed users do not see a title blacklist warning when a page is restricted to autoconfirmed users via the blacklist (this may change, see phab:T137369). You'll still see the normal semi-protection notices, as I haven't done a batch-unprotect, but they are now redundant and not relevant to the protected status of your user space. This also applies to Bonadeaphone. Like I noted, your user page and user talk page are not covered and will be handled as usual (although this will hardly be an onerous administrative task). Please let me know if you experience any problems. Thanks, BethNaught (talk) 18:27, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

The Mansion Cat

It says "Cultural References", not trivia at this page. And why don't you see the revisions in 2009. They had trivia. YoshiFan155 (talk) 19:33, 23 July 2016 (UTC)

But it is trivia, and it is unsourced, and it is the kind of minor detail that does not belong in a Wikipedia article. That the article has been cleaned up since 2009 is not exactly a reason to restore it to the pre-cleanup version. Again, why don't you look into adding the text that is not appropriate here to the Tom and Jerry Wiki? I don't know their rules, but wikis for specific fandoms tend to be much more open to adding a lot of detail. --bonadea contributions talk 19:57, 23 July 2016 (UTC)

The sources I got are from a Japanese website and I am editing it so that I can share this information with everyone. They are from legit sources. This is Wikipedia, I share my information to people. I am free to share these informations. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SakurazakiNaoki (talkcontribs) 16:37, 24 July 2016 (UTC)

But there were no sources at all for the information you added. You have to provide the sources (which must meet Wikipedia's criteria for reliable sources) as references - if you find it difficult to add references, there are plenty of people who will be happy to help, you can for instance ask at the tea house, but the sources have to be present in the article. Again, if you are not sure how to add them, please ask, but don't add information without any sources to articles again, especially not articles about living people. Furthermore, as mentioned on your user talk page, some of the added information is trivia, minor details that simply don't belong in a Wikipedia article. The "General information" sections are inappropriate for an encyclopedia article, though they would work well on a fan website. Regards, --bonadea contributions talk 16:52, 24 July 2016 (UTC)

Regarding removal of changes on BIMTECH Page

Hi, the information that was updated on BIMTECH wikipedia was based on the latest information of the college and was not intended to be a promotional content. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Princeise (talkcontribs) 08:31, 2 September 2016 (UTC)

@Princeise: Unfortunately, it was entirely promotional, it read like an advertising brochure for the school, and thus it was unsuitable for an encyclopedia. There may have been some actual factual changes in there, but they were too well hidden to discover. If you have factual changes to make, such as a change in leadership or number of staff, please make them, but don't add any wording about "eminent board" or "You will not only study international business but will experience it too" or anything else that looks like an attempt to advertise or "sell" the school. Please also make sure that the information has sources. The current contents are quite promotional as well, but that doesn't mean it's okay to add sentences like "It is this mix of nationalities, cultural backgrounds, academic and professional experiences that makes BIMTECH one of the most exciting and enriching business schools in India today." (Please note that these are just a few examples - removing these individual phrases will not make the rest of the text you added acceptable. It was almost 100% promotional, whether that was the intention or not.) Regards, --bonadea contributions talk 09:16, 2 September 2016 (UTC)

Overlinking

Hi, on en.WP we rarely link common terms ("television", "actor", etc), country-names, dates/years. Thanks. Tony (talk) 01:45, 8 September 2016 (UTC)

Hi Tony1. I am well aware of that part of MOS, though I might sometimes have violated it when it comes to country names - I don't think I've wikilinked a date or year in the last eight years or so... It's not entirely helpful to post a generic note like this without any specifics at all, not even the article. I have looked at the articles you cleaned up before posting this note but not seen where I did any overlinking (I can only see one article that I have touched at all, in May, but I added no wls to that). Cheers, --bonadea contributions talk 05:54, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
Hi, Bonadea. I wrote this note pesonally to you, rather than pasting in a generic text. Sorry to overstate the case, then. "Television" is one of the words I'm finding linked in thousands of articles. There's rarely a case for linking that term. Tony (talk) 08:50, 8 September 2016 (UTC)

of Literature and Dylan and Popova

I am relatively new here but I think you may want to look into Popova and put in Dylan somewhere. I am not merely a fan of Popova but I do read her and I do hold a tenured position. My references to her may not have been solid but in India people do not know her. That's a shame. May be you can please cite Dylan into the woof of the article. there is a short story called the kite by somerset maugham where maugham attacks Freud for obscure writing. May be, that and Popova can go in. You take the call please. But I think one ought not to remove Dylan and Popova and may be this short story (which I have not put in) by Maugham. @Bonadea I'm sorry, but who are you to put a stop sign on my page? The change was small. Two sentences. The info on the page is not backed up. Maybe you should look it up and you'll find that I deleted it for a good reason. I speak frequently to some of the top animation historians, such as Michael Barrier and Leonard Maltin about Walt Disney, and the statements made are not true and certainly do not have the definitive proof necessary to post something like that. 19disneyland55 (talk) 09:12, 6 November 2016 (UTC)

I am an editor just like you, who would hate to see you blocked for violating a firm Wikipedia rule (which you have since done, by reverting yet again.) The content you keep removing might indeed be seen as portraying Disney in an unduly positive light, but the fact remains that it is sourced, and your claim that it is a "small change" which "does not need discussing" is clearly incorrect as several different people have reverted and asked you to discuss. | As soon as I got off of the WP:PERM page for New Page Reviewer and tagged MooWoo, as soon as I clicked submit, you PRODded it when I was done loading. Coincidence? CyanoTex (talk) 15:30, 18 November 2016 (UTC)

I'm not sure which specific page that was - the many socks of that user have created dozens, and I keep on the lookout for them :-) So yes, certainly a coincidence. Cheers, --bonadea contributions talk 15:39, 18 November 2016 (UTC)

User group: New Page Reviewr

Hello Bonadea.

Based on the patrols you made of new pages during a qualifying period in 2016, your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group, allowing you to review new pages and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or in some cases, tag them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed.

New page reviewing is a vital function for policing the quality of the encylopedia, if you have not already done so, you must read the new tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the various deletion criteria. If you need more help or wish to discuss the process, please join or start a thread at page reviewer talk.

  • Be nice to new users - they are often not aware of doing anything wrong.
  • You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted - be formal and polite in your approach to them too, even if they are not.
  • Don't review a page if you are not sure what to do. Just leave it for another reviewer.
  • Remember that quality is quintessential to good patrolling. Take your time to patrol each article, there is no rush. Use the message feature and offer basic advice.

The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In case of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, the right can be revoked at any time by an administrator. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:34, 19 November 2016 (UTC)

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Hello, Bonadea. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

New Page Review - newsletter

Hello Bonadea,
Breaking the back of the backlog
We now have 805 New Page Reviewers! Most of you requested the user right to be able to do something about the huge backlog. Now it's time for action.
Mid July to 01 Oct 2016

If each reviewer does only 10 reviews a day over five days, the backlog will be down to zero and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
Let's get that over and done with in time to relax for the holidays.

Second set of eyes

Not only are New Page Reviewers the guardians of quality of new articles, they are also in a position to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged for deletion and maintenance and that new authors are not being bitten. This is an important feature of your work. Read about it at the new Monitoring the system section in the tutorial.

Sock Article

Hi B, earlier this year you tagged Nimra Khan as a G5 speedy. I'm unfamiliar with the sock in question, so I'm just letting you know that it's been recreated by a new user, who may or may not be related. The earlier one was subsequently deleted by User:Anthony Bradbury so hopefully between the 2 of you, you can determine if this is a returning sock or an innocent bystander. Thanks! CrowCaw 19:27, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

Hi @Crow: - the sockmaster was Ghulamhaider3030. I cannot remember what the original Nimra Khan article looked like, but the fact that this one sprung fully fledged, categories (albeit redlinked ones) and infobox and all, from the brow of a brand-new account does seem a little suspicious. --bonadea contributions talk 19:45, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

Follow also on #100womenwiki, and please, don't bite the newbies :) (user:Kudpung for NPR. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 23:55, 7 December 2016 (UTC))

Just a note...

...no need to leave warnings to that user. It's a sock and has been reported. APK whisper in my ear 11:57, 10 December 2016 (UTC)

Tu maza Jeev

Tu Maza Jeev has been refined please check and remove the deletion tag from the page --†Ïv㉫Ǹ G✿Ǹ$Aしv㉫$ 17:45, 10 December 2016 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tiven2240 (talkcontribs)

@Tiven2240:, the deletion discussion has only been active two days, and such discussion generally go on for at least seven days - longer if there is not a clear consensus. Don't worry about the discussion ending, because an uninvolved administrator will take care of that (there is no need to ask editors to close the discussion). I do not agree that there is reason to withdraw the deletion nomination before the discussion has a chance to run its course, because the issues I addressed in the deletion discussion a few hours ago have not been resolved. --bonadea contributions talk 18:02, 10 December 2016 (UTC)
@Bonadea: i have total seven sources now 3 cited and 4 external which fulfils the category what more is needed? --†Ïv㉫Ǹ G✿Ǹ$Aしv㉫$ 16:04, 11 December 2016 (UTC)

@Bonadea: waiting for your reply.. --†Ïv㉫Ǹ G✿Ǹ$Aしv㉫$ 07:42, 12 December 2016 (UTC)

Um, I'm not sure what I can reply here. The deletion discussion still needs to run its course and the decision is not mine - it depends on what the consensus is after the discussion is over. Thank you for adding more sources. Only one of them is independent but that one looks okay to me and it only mentions the film in passing. Whether that is considered sufficient sourcing is up to the community to decide, and that happens in the deletion discussion, so this is not the best place to discuss the article. I'm going to remove the link that tried to redirect me to a spam site, though. --bonadea contributions talk 08:05, 12 December 2016 (UTC)

Greetings Bonadea! I wish you good health and happiness. I saw your edits on the above mentioned page in which you expanded the list of converts. As you are already aware that your edits were reverted by an editor. I reverted him/her, now its your duty to keep a watch on that page otherwise it would be vandalised by similar editors. I hope that you understand my intentions. Terabar (talk) 13:38, 13 December 2016 (UTC)

How to solve Wikipedia page issues of Ram Kamal Mukherjee

How to solve page issues of Ram Kamal Mukherjee ? https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Ram_Kamal_Mukherjee Reply urgently. Regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 183.87.42.33 (talk) 10:38, 27 December 2016 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but why is this urgent? There is no deadline for Wikipedia articles. I have been looking at the article just now to determine whether there is actually any notability, and it seems very tenuous. There's a lot of references that do not meet Wikipedia's requirements for reliable sources in the article, and it reads ike a promotion piece with a lot of puffery and advertising language. I have removed some of it but there's a lot left. I won't have time to work on it today but maybe later in the week... again, there is no urgency involved at all. --bonadea contributions talk 10:45, 27 December 2016 (UTC)

It's humble request to you to kindly fix the page issues of this Wikipedia Page. https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Ram_Kamal_Mukherjee It's an earnest and humble request to you. Regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 183.87.42.33 (talk) 10:58, 27 December 2016 (UTC)

I will look into the article if and when I have time for it, but I frankly do not believe there is any sign that he is notable enough for a Wikipedia article. He has worked as a journalist, has written a book which got some publicity, and has received a non-notable award. There has also been a lot of inappropriate editing that seems to be designed to promote or advertise the person and his book, and that is always problematic. But as I said in my previous reply, I won't have time to work on this today. --bonadea contributions talk 11:07, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
