How To Changes Photos
Hi Bonadea. Sorry if this is not the place to leave you this message. Please let know where and how is best to reach you. I am reaching out to you regarding the images displayed by Google for a Google search on "Charles Corm". Apart from images 1, 3 and 6 (in the order they appear on my system), the images have no relationship whatsoever with Charles Corm. I was wondering if you knew how I/we could remedy this as it is causing a lot of confusion. Is inserting images in Charles Corm's Wikipedia page the solution. If not, what do you suggest? Thanks for your expert help.--Bcd3174 18:18, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
External Link Removed
I know that wikipedia is not a collection of links and i also know it uses the nofollow attribute which makes links useless. But i think wikipedia should not be just a collection of random text, each affirmation should have good references, without them wikipedia would be just like any other website. The link i added was not inappropriate, it was not a link to a personal website, to a website which i'm affiliated or a link that attracted visitors to a website or product. It was a link to an informative and useful resource that provided more in depth information about a specific claim in the wikipedia article about link wheels. Still don't know why it was removed... Thank you Scorpioseti (talk) 19:29, 3 July 2013 (UTC)

Truth In Action Ministries
Good afternoon Bonadea,
I want to thank you for your speedy reply. I understand your concerns and was not going to put any promotional content or advertisement on the page. I merely meant to clear the confusion that obviously existed on Wiki between Coral Ridge Ministries (now known as Truth In Action Ministries - TIAM) and Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. Though founded by the same person - Dr. D. James Kennedy - they are not affiliated.
If I have violated any Wiki-Rules I apologize.
As I mentioned before I do understand your concerns regarding me being affiliated to the TIAM, but I can assure you that I have know other intention than to post facts and numbers about the Ministry, a little bit about the History and some general information. Of course I hope that a link to the Ministry's website will be granted as many other non-profit organizations have.
My question I guess is, would it be possible to undelete my page and give me a chance to build it out a little more, so you may come back at a later time and for review or is it impossible for me to create a page for the Ministry.
Thank you very much for your time and may God Bless you.

Hello Bonadea,
I just posted link to my page about Cellulite. The information there can be useful for readers. I wonder why you treated as spam and removed the link. My time is valuable as yours.

Hi
I could really need some help from a Swedish Wikipedian. I have made an article on Elisabet Höglund which I have nominated for DYK, I could need some help with additional copy-editing and translation of some of the words that perhaps was lost in translation from Swedish to English and links that are without proper redirect. Any help is welcome. Regards,--BabbaQ (talk) 15:35, 14 July 2013 (UTC)

Re: Pran
You tagged Pran with a "Copyright/Close Paraphrasing" tag, yet you did not leave any description of the content at issue on the talk page (like the tag indicated). I'm interested in posting this article to the Template:In the news section on the Main Page, but I want to understand what your concerns with the article are. If you could list your concerns on the article talk page and ping me a message when you do, that would be great. Thanks! SpencerT♦C 13:56, 17 July 2013 (UTC)
Adding alternative tutoring marketplaces
Hi,
What would be the appropriate way to add alternative tutoring marketplaces?
Kind Regards, Halohem. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Halohem (talk • contribs) 10:24, 21 July 2013 (UTC)
- Dear Halohem, thank you for your message. It is an important principle of Wikipedia that articles not be used for any form of advertising or promotion, and one part of that is to avoid external links that are not appropriate for an encyclopedia. You can find out more about this in Wikipedia's external links policy, and especially in the discussion of links that are not appropriate. It is also important that companies, products, services, websites, and people mentioned in Wikipedia articles are notable. If the website you added a link to is notable according to Wikipedia's definition of notability for websites, it can have a Wikipedia article - but please note that it is never recommended to create articles where there is a conflict of interest. I hope this helps. Sincerely, --bonadea contributions talk 11:13, 21 July 2013 (UTC)
Are you sure?
Regarding this, WP:DELTALK says "User talk pages and user talk archives created by page move are generally not deleted;" (highlighting in original), but the pages in question were not created by page moves. All the information is available in the user's talk page history, I don't see why the archives can't be deleted? WormTT(talk) 07:44, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
- Hey Worm, nice to hear from you! That's a good point - I was going by Wikipedia:CSD#U1 which simply says that Userspace and User talk space should be treated differently. I wish guidelines would be consistently phrased :-) It's obviously not my decision to make, and I was merely trying to help Porchcorpter out; it seems like there could be a bit of bad feeling stirred up again by this, which frankly seems like it would hurt more than removing the archives could possibly help him. From my perspective, anyway. --bonadea contributions talk 08:06, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
- Archives are always a tricky subject unfortunately! Depending on how editors use them, they sometimes can and sometimes can't be deleted. As Beeblebrox pointed out on Porchcorpter's page, there's some history there too which is relevant. As it happens, I thought you were an admin declining them. I've pointed Beeblebrox over here - so he might well turn up too.
- On a lighter note, why the hell is this a red link? I honestly thought you were an admin... why aren't you? WormTT(talk) 08:21, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
- You may be right, it seems like kind of a grey area, policy-wise. It's just sad to see Porchcorpter still has removing anything that might reflect poorly on him as his apparent highest, and at this point only, priority. One of the first times he came to my notice it was because he was actually moving his talk page and then asking for it to be deleted, while at the same restoring most of the content back to his main talk page without any history. His childish game-playing with his "image" is extremely tiresome, I should probably just take his talk page off my watchlist and leave it to others to deal with his antics. Beeblebrox (talk) 15:32, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
Report spam
Regarding this ... it seems to be an article of a category you are monitoring or which you have edited very many times. I tried to edit some things in the past from another account but you did not let me. Now there is a guy that keeps spamming this category to add bad content about a certain company and add a backlink to his website. His name is Rharrias99, and he keeps editing this article every now and then to add backlinks to casinolistings.com . Please take some measure about this issue. See the article's revision history from "06:59, 22 July 2013" and see what he added. You will understand what I mean. See all his revisions about the "Online_casino" article and see that everytime he keeps adding bad content about that certain company. I am waiting for your reply to see if you will do something against this and what you will do. ((talk) 10:59, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
- Are you User:Frederic77? If so, please do not continue editing with this account - when you are blocked with one account you're not allowed to create another one to edit with. What you need to do is request unblocking of your previous account, in such a way that it's clear that you understand why you were blocked and will avoid making the kind of edits that caused the block. Sorry to sound all bureaucratic here, but it's the procedure that everybody who has been blocked has to go through in order to continue editing. As for the online casino article, the problematic link (which I agree does not look like a reliable source) has been removed by somebody else already. --bonadea contributions talk 08:14, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
- I tried requesting to be unblocked, but nobody cares about that. Anyway, all I wanted to say is that the user I tried to report (Rharrias99) will try again and again to put a link towards his website in that article. Because in all his edits he either added bad content about the mentioned company or he tried to add a backlink to his website. So he should be warned or something, and not edit the article every time to remove the link.((talk) 10:59, 22 July 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.116.32.201 (talk)

I apologize, but what maintenance tag did I remove? I did not mean to. Also, what can be done to avert the article from being subject for speedy deletion? No problem re sources in the Online Casino article. It annoys me to see this company CasinoWebScripts trying to hide evidence after they have been caught out as being crooked, particularly after the same company has tried several times to spam links to their own website into the very same article. About my external link
I think you make a mistake because remove my external link. The link is to discuss a way to not let merchants affect affiliate income. I my self was join affiliate marketing for few years and I know this is true, merchants always steal affiliate commission. That is not my own blog and I not take advantage to promote some think on Wikipedia. I just think this link is good to read for newbie affiliate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.186.59.88 (talk) 14:38, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
Your Edit of the software page
Hi Bonadea,
first of all: all my appreciation for you and the other people that are actively monitoring a number of wikipedia topics.
However, I received a note that "you removed an external link that I added to the page Software, because it seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia". The link I added does indeed belong to a commercial company, however it's a freely accessible database of software products and software companies; in fact it's the largest one that exists in the world and anyone has basic access, extended access after a free registration. Hence, I am not sure the link is inappropriate? My impression is that this complies with https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:External_links#What_can_normally_be_linked , item 3: "Sites that contain neutral and accurate material that is relevant to an encyclopedic understanding of the subject"
Let me know if you feel that this still violates #6 of links to be avoided.
thank you

Paul Loeb
Bonadea, I didn't add any personal aspects to the Paul Loeb article. Most of the primary source came from him and others. There were a fair number of items that I couldn't find references for. I was somewhat uncomfortable with those. Is that what you were talking about as personal commetary? I'm not sure what the right way to handle these items should be. I have support from both Paul, and others but they are really just memories. Any help on this account would be appreciated. If you were talking about some other part of the article as personal commetary, an example would help me a lot in making the article more appropriate. Gap1234 (talk) 00:48, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
Dog health
Bonadea, You reverted my changes and I'm trying to figure out the right thing to do. I thought the current dog nutrition section was leaning too far toward the dog owner not giving their dog natural (like people food). Personally, I have had many problems with many different high end dog foods, and feed my dogs a raw diet. However, I didn't feel that my experience was something that should be in wikipedia except as possibly a case study, and a case study wasn't an appropriate reason to modify a general page like this. I did think that there is a large corpus of research in a more natural dog diet and that evidence was documented in the raw-diet wikipedia pages.
So I don't know why you reverted my changes? Did I phrase things too aggressively? Or do something else incorrect?
Thanks Gap1234 (talk) 00:58, 12 August 2013 (UTC)

The article Chip tricks has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Totally unsourced since 2008, ergo, this is OR. Please provide RS.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Brangifer (talk) 03:14, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

Vacation Rentals, Oh The Places
I'm wondering if you can give me a little more guidance as to why you removed the external link to Oh The Places from the topic Vacation Rentals. Several of my peer companies are listed under the See Also section, it seemed appropriate to list Oh The Places in the external link because we are a Vacation Rental company. Can you explain a little further what guidelines you need to meet to list as an external link? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rdernbach (talk • contribs) 18:39, 9 September 2013 (UTC)

Hej. Inappropriate link?
Hello,
I noticed that you marked my link as inappropriate however I want to raise some points.
1. The site NetworkBits that is currently linked is in no shape what you would call a professional resource.
2. WPBeginner is the largest free WordPress resource site and the articles are regularly maintained and updated.
Yes, I admit that I'm the founder of WPBeginner however I do believe that the the WPBeginner page is far superior.
Since the article is about shared web hosting, I also feel that the users might also benefit from this article:

Let me know if it is ok to link to that article that points out the downsides of shared web hosting. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mbalkhi (talk • contribs) 05:06, 19 September 2013 (UTC)

- Nope, I am not an administrator, and I did not threaten you, I simply informed you of Wikipedia's copyright policy. (The template does look a bit threatening I suppose, but that is because copyright issues are so important.) Every editor has a responsibility to remove copyright violations when they are discovered. The evidence is there in the source and the article text - it is a close paraphrasing of the original text. I'm sorry the notice was so unfriendly-looking. I do not understand the big deal. Threatening Tone
What makes you say that it is not complying with Wikipedia Reliable Source. Are you an administrator? Who are you to ban me ? You are no one to decide what goes there and what not. I created the article and made so much contribution here. Do NOT post again on my talk page and threatening to ban me or else you account will be reported. Nefirious (talk) 02:53, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
Just because you think that the source is not reliable does not give you the authority to make changes. The author is a journalist and has an online magazine http://saberqureshi.com/dmagazine/# . The articles are scholarly. This alone makes it reliable and Wikipedia worthy. Nefirious (talk) 03:51, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
- No, I'm afraid it doesn't. Please, please read up on what is a reliable source and not, and please trust the unanimous agreement of half a dozen experienced editors, that saberqureshi.com is not a reliable source. --bonadea contributions talk 04:42, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
The user says six editors. I do not see any other editors claiming that the source is unreliable. Some people have a lot of time at hand and hence are disrupting the dissemination of knowledge. I want to see the six usernames that say that the article is not scholarly. Nefirious (talk) 05:09, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
- I started to collect the diffs of edits where the link had been removed, but since Nefirious has been indef blocked there seems to be little point. In any case I did not say that six people "said it is not scholarly", but at least six different people have removed the reference from different articles for being non-reliable. --bonadea contributions talk 05:26, 3 October 2013 (UTC)

Advertising: Possible restoration of a previous vandalism?
Hi. I think you might want to look at Advertising again. I reverted the vandal who added "Jesus and his disciples" rather than Egyptians. You reverted my reversion. It appears that restored "event listings", but that was added by the same vandal who added the vandalism about Jesus and his disciples. I don't rule out that I read the sequence wrongly and I am not entirely sure why your reversion picked up that addition, which seems to have been after your previous edit. In any event, I did not want to step on your edits or to misread it. But I would like to bring to your attention that "event listings" may have been added by the vandal. Thanks. Inappropriate for an Encyclopedia
Hello Bonadea. You have removed my references from the page Match.com because you feel they are "inappropriate for an encyclopedia." May I ask for further clarification? Do you feel interviews with the CEO of the company is not a valid reference, or do you feel that Online Personals Watch is not a credible source? What I have gathered from Wikipedia:External links is that "this guideline does not apply to citations to sources supporting article content. If the website or page to which you want to link includes information that is not yet a part of the article, consider using it as a source for the article, and citing it." This is what I did. I do believe Online Personals Watch also falls under the guidelines stated on the page Wikipedia:Reliable sources. Thank you for your time and Please advise. Removal of external link and internal link to online ring sizers on Ring_Size
I know that Wikipedia is not a collection of links but I think that legitimate references belong on this page and http://FindMyRingSize.com and Wikipedia article https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Find_My_Ring_Size are legitimate within the context of the article Ring_Size. The links that were that were removed as inappropriate are in fact appropriate as there are no other online ring size measurement tools that exist, so I believe it is legitimate to state Find My Ring Size as an example. It is not spam but public knowledge - a link to an informative and useful resource that provides in depth information about a specific claim in a Wikipedia article. It's not a link to a jewelry site or someone wanting to sell a ring commercially but to an online ring sizer and measurement tool. Still don't know why it was removed... The new term "SOAPI" is circulating for a while now here in the Netherlands, but it is true that the term outside the Netherlands is still unknown.
I teach at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam on the impact of social media in doing business today.

Beside business plans they have to use SMAC (Social, Mobile, Analytics & Cloud) elements... and Soapi's ;-) to create their new business.

I see no reason why you should delete contribution of an experienced IT business analyst in Web Services article
Hi there, I saw you recently undo an explanation that I added to Web Services. While I appreciate your effort, I must say that my edits were NOT vandalism. I didn't edit or delete anything written by other users. But this article badly needs explanation and a real-life example so that common people can understand what a web-service is. Problem with IT people is that they can hardly ever explain a concept in understandable language. I have been working in IT industry for years as a business analyst. I have presented an example to clarify meaning of different jargons related to web-service. It is all example thought by me, from various projects that I have done. It's not any baseless chatter. I would request you to show that content to 5 laymen and see if they can easily understand it or not. Regarding citations etc. I don't think it's needed for every line written in Wikipedia. This is an example, an explanation, and it needs to be based on facts. If you would contact any IT person and show him/her my explanation, I am sure nobody would ever disagree with my explanation. It is the much-needed explanation that people are asking for.
For your reference, please go through the previous comments in "Talk" section of the page on Web Service, and you would see dozens of people complaining that the article can't explain anything. That is the reason why I added a section called "Explanation" with a solid real life example. With all due respect, if you think example posted by me was confusing, probably you need to do some research on internet about Web Service. Also, if you say it lacks citation, you should consider if an example given to facilitate understanding of a difficult concept needs citation?
Thank you for your effort, but I disagree with you and I think this explanation is needed. So I am reverting your undo to keep my explanation on this page.
Wish you a nice day!

--GOODKARMA 18:11, 16 March 2014 (UTC)I spent a lot of time and research to edit this page for it to be as factual as possible! Tracking Lebanese billionaires is a notoriously difficult exercise as most of them have fortunes stemming from so many different areas and nearly impossible to evaluate. Forbes may do a good job for people like Gates since his wealth stems from Microsoft stock (hence his wealth = amount of shares * price of shares). But Forbes SUCK at evaluating fortunes made outside of this particular case! Everybody knows that! Yes here you come, with your blazing ignorance on the subject and revert all my chances, rendering the list totally incorrect! Where did Hayek (the founder of Swatch and a Lebanese Swiss disappear?! The list you keep reverting back to (by deleting my edits)is COMPLETELY WRONG hence my edits. It does not take into account several well known Lebanese billionaires that MY edits DO. My list may not cite sources but so does not the list you keep reverting back to. The difference is my list is 100 more correct than yours as I happen to be Lebanese and an expert on Lebanese wealth. And I don't appreciate at all you calling me "uncivil" when you just barge in and delete all my hard work nor do I appreciate at all your threats of having me banned when all I am doing is trying to make, on my free time, Wikipedia a better place by contributing my accurate knowledge on specific subjects. --GOODKARMA 11:06, 28 March 2014 (UTC)@Bonadea and Sionk. As I messaged you both, can we please bury the hatchet. We are NOT enemies and I harbor no other intention than making this list as ACCURATE as possible (just like you)! That means that I apologize for past coarse language. It was only a reaction to having all my hard work deleted under really lame arguments (with all due respect). And you should appreciate the (educated) work I put into this page. I happen to know Lebanese wealth inside out. It doesn't work according to Forbes lists or other BS lists that are known to be notoriously incomplete (when not downright WRONG). There are AT LEAST 5 Lebanese billionaires living in Africa that are not included in Forbes and co. nor the list I compiled. Why? Because these guys' fortune, well above 1 billion USD, is unknown. It could be 1, it could be 10. Their assets are "undercover". Also, and contrary to you Anglo-Saxon thinking, it is common practice in the Middle East to talk about FAMILIES. Forbes MENA (the regional version of Forbes) recently released its list of "RICHEST" and it was a list of... MENA's RICHEST FAMILIES!!! That's the way it works around here: FAMILY WEALTH! Because nobody, including Forbes (!) and hence I trust you will agree neither of you too, can or will ever be able to breakdown the wealth of individual family members. Again, this is how it works around here and if even FORBES approaches the "issue" that way, I trust that you guys will have the humbleness to respect that approach too. Getting to Corm, he was the exclusive agent of Ford Motor Cars for the entire Middle East. Everybody in Lebanon knows the Corms are worth billions. But they are a discreet family who have no interest in being in Forbes (which in turn has no way of measuring their fortune hence does not list them). Now either you want to make this page ACCURATE AND FAIR, either you want to just propagate s* intelligence and information, creating a snowball effect that just reinforces Forbes and co. s* lists. Also Bonadea and with all due respect, your date of death logic is BS! Either you consider a man dead and hence don't include him or his family in the list either you do (again, please read above my part on FAMILY WEALTH). But I don't think it is your prerogative to decide what length of death is acceptable or not! If you insist in removing Corm, then you MUST remove Safra and Hayek. If you don't, you have no consistency. And consistency is the key to credibility. And credibility is EXACTLY what Wikipedia lacks. So if your plan is to KILL Wikipedia (whose death I am convinced is around the corner as nobody I know trusts a word coming from Wikipedia, they just use it as a quick info "fix" on subjects of little importance to them), continue applying DOUBLE STANDARDS the way you do. I just HATE double standards. They are just about the biggest impediments to OBJECTIVE reporting. Over and out...

- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be a clear copyright infringement. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
