File source problem with File:Elizabeth Roberts Elizab2.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Elizabeth Roberts Elizab2.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 10:50, 23 February 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 10:50, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

There are two sources for the hook. What is missing? Billy Hathorn (talk) 11:50, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
Perhaps I am missing something. The article says: "Warren was the physician who operates successfully on the burned hand of title character Johnny Tremain, an apprentice silversmith, who hopes one day to own his own shop and become wealthy, a role played by Hal Stalmaster (born 1940).[4]" The source [4] is "Johnny Tremain". cinema.theiapolis.com. Retrieved February 19, 2011.. I went there, and I can't find any mention there of that claim. --Muhandes (talk) 16:46, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
Another source added showing that Dr. Warren, played by Walter Coy, operated on the hand of Johnny Tremain.cite web|url=http://www.tcm.com/tcmdb/title.jsp?stid=79857%7Ctitle=Johnny Tremain (1957)|publisher=tcm.com|accessdate=February 23, 2011}} Billy Hathorn (talk) 02:00, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

Fred S. LeBlanc

Found a SSDI entry having him dead in 1969...if you do a search in Google News, 2 obits will come up, one, presumable a sibling of his, saying LeBlanc predeceased the sibling (year is 1988), and another, his wife in 1998 (also saying LeBlanc predeceased her). Another obit is of John S. Covington [1] - it mentions that he succeeded Leblanc when he died, and he won the seat in 1970, which all supports the 1969 death date, which was issued in Louisiana also, and lists him as (July 24, 1897 – June 1969). Thoughts? Connormah (talk) 21:44, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, I never found him on SSDI. Billy Hathorn (talk) 21:46, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Precise date: June 11, 1969 per [2] Quote: The bills of exceptions in this case were signed by a judge who did not preside at the trial as the trial judge died on June 11, 1969, (another quote from the Covington article: Covington was first appointed to the district bench in 1969 by then-Gov. John J. McKeithen. He replaced Judge Fred S. LeBlanc, who had died) Connormah (talk) 21:47, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Added the info to the article. Here's the source I used: [3] - has a bit about him, and him in a group picture, if you'd like to use this source for some more info/an image. Connormah (talk) 21:53, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi. I created an article for the 1961 Jo Stafford Show, which I've nominated for DYK, but it's just occurred to me how cool it would be if we could find an interesting fact to link them both and create a double nomination. What do you think? TheRetroGuy (talk) 20:54, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

Surely, I didn't find any more on the 15-minute show. We might could show how 15-minute shows were common in the mid-50s but disappeared by the latter part of the decade. Sometimes they will let us link two DYK's together. Right now the 1954 show article is probably too short to qualify. Billy Hathorn (talk) 21:45, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
I did a WP:DYKCHECK on the 1954 article and it just passes the 1500 character level so should be ok for DYK. I'll mention it at TT:DYK and see if anyone has any suggestions. Cheers. TheRetroGuy (talk) 15:54, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
Per standard Wikipedia disambiguation, I've moved these articles to The Jo Stafford Show (1954 TV series) and The Jo Stafford Show (1961 TV series) then updated the links and DYK nominations accordingly. - Dravecky (talk) 09:12, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi. Re the above two DYK noms:

Thanks for reviewing John Howell & Son previously. I've now nominated Edward Alexander Wyon as well, and put the two articles together as a double DYK; it works out simplest that way, as they are connected (as builder and architect of same building). If you get time, please could you take a glance at the nom (links above)? The reason why I'm asking is that I think other reviewers are politely giving you space, as you had already reviewed John Howell & Son as a single nom. Up to you, though - no doubt an administrator will look at it later, anyway. Cheers. --Storye book (talk) 18:20, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

Pete Padgett DOB

Just out of curiosity, where did you find the information for Pete Padgett's date of birth? Jrcla2 (talk) 23:52, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

Net Detective.com. They live in Sparks, which is a twin city to Reno. The date matches because he would have been 18 in 1972, when he first played under his father. Don't have place of birth yet. Billy Hathorn (talk) 23:54, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
Ahh ok. I've got one more for you, if you don't mind. I just created Kenny Green (Rhode Island basketball), but I have no clue what his birth date is. I also have no idea where he's originally from, but he'd be roughly age 18 in 1986 and age 22 in 1990. Any help, if there are records to be found, would be appreciate. Thanks!
The Padgetts probably live in Reno but formerly lived in Sparks. I will check your other athlete. If you can't find his place of birth, see if you can find where the parents were living in 1986. Billy Hathorn (talk) 01:18, 28 March 2011 (UTC)

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Jack London statue IMG 1405.JPG.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the image description page states the source and copyright status of the derivative work, it only names the creator of the original work without specifying the status of their copyright over the work.

Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the original image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. Thanks again for your cooperation. Magog the Ogre (talk) 22:32, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

The "conspiracy" seems to have started years ago. See: Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Billy Hathorn:

Billy Hathorn appears to create a new article for every single obituary or newspaper story he reads. His deleted contributions list is substantial, longer than any other editor I can recall, other than acute POV-pushers. Billy is not a POV-pusher. His talk page shows a never-ending series of speedy deletion and AfD notices; a high proportion of these are deleted. Some are simply copy-pastes form external sites, occasionally with minor textual changes.

That's from 2008, but the warnings go way back. HHaeyyn89 (talk) 04:40, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. —Ryūlóng (竜龙) 20:20, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
