Whoops

Oopsie. Didn't know about that on Big Three. Thanks for link to Talk. Hm maybe a page editnotice or something might not be a bad idea there, to alert people going there to add entries? Thank you, have a good day! 47.155.41.201 (talk) 07:01, 1 August 2023 (UTC)

No worries. FWIW, there is an existing edit notice, which sort of generically covers it: Generally only one navigable link (blue link) belongs in each bulleted entry. Regards.—Bagumba (talk) 07:26, 1 August 2023 (UTC)

Ryan O'Callaghan page

So adding the name of the psychologist in the body of the article and then adding her information in the external links at the end of the page would be acceptable? Morton.Michael.NC (talk) 21:32, 12 August 2023 (UTC)

@Morton.Michael.NC: Hi there. It's an editorial decision on whether a non-notable person (i.e. without a WP page) is worth mentioning by name on a page. Regarding an external link on his page, however, it's discouraged per WP:ELNO #13 re: links to avoid: Sites that are only indirectly related to the article's subject Regards. —Bagumba (talk) 01:33, 13 August 2023 (UTC)

Little help?

Can you restore Richard Williams (basketball coach)? It was prodded due to lack of sources. I can source it but prefer not to start from scratch. Easily notable as a power conference coach (Mississippi State) who took his team to the Final Four. I think nobody saw it when in PROD status. Thanks. Rikster2 (talk) 14:28, 26 August 2023 (UTC)

Looks to have already been done; see Draft:Richard Williams (basketball coach). You can move it back to mainspace when ready.—Bagumba (talk) 14:33, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
Thanks, I didn’t look hard enough. How many sources are needed to demonstrate notability? Thee are 2 legit independent sources on the article already. Rikster2 (talk) 16:45, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
I personally shoot for 3, thinking if says "multiple sources" and not a "couple".—Bagumba (talk) 17:10, 26 August 2023 (UTC)

In protest "of"

Are you quite sure? I know American English is weird, but really... I can't find anything to say that this is correct, even in US English. Deb (talk) 08:10, 30 August 2023 (UTC)

@Deb: I'm not expert enough to find the correct rule, but this search shows plenty of "in protest of" w.r.t. Kaepernick.—Bagumba (talk) 08:28, 30 August 2023 (UTC)

IP adding bulk unsourced content

Hi. This IP has been warned several times regarding adding unsourced content and contributing unconstructively. Can you please consider a block. Thanks. DaHuzyBru (talk) 09:09, 1 October 2023 (UTC)

I'll rescind the block request. The IP is adding sources now, so despite my grievances with the content at Franklin Bulls – plus the crazy amount of minor edits the user is making clogging up the Recent Changes – I'll have to deal with this differently. If you have any thoughts or advice, I'd be keen to hear them. Thanks. DaHuzyBru (talk) 11:47, 1 October 2023 (UTC)
Perhaps try to resolve differences 1-on-1 on their talk page. Otherwise, some diffs with a high-level narrative on a related noticeboard could be needed. Best. —Bagumba (talk) 14:45, 1 October 2023 (UTC)

Third opinion on Kirk Cousins

yo, could i ask for your assistance with Kirk Cousins? There's a guy insisting that the cover image he put in kirks infobox should stay because its "used in more Wikipedia articles." I'm not tryna start another edit war lol. HappyBoi3892 (talk) 02:52, 8 October 2023 (UTC)

@HappyBoi3892: Generally, follow Wikipedia:Dispute resolution. Perhaps continue the discussion at Talk:Kirk Cousins § Lead image, pinging the participants there, or notifying WT:NFL.—Bagumba (talk) 06:26, 8 October 2023 (UTC)

IPs and NBA heights/weights

There are a couple IPs changing player heights to match the combine w/o shoes measure. Example at Amen Thompson but one IP is going back several years for players who have been in the league a while like Kevon Looney. I am not on the site enough to revert all this BS but somebody should because the articles are all incorrect now. Rikster2 (talk) 21:06, 10 October 2023 (UTC)

Can this guy get a time out for nba heights/weights issues? Rikster2 (talk) 17:42, 11 October 2023 (UTC)
I commented at User talk:189.90.126.206#October 2023. As it's a content dispute, and WP:NBAHEIGHT is not a formal guideline, it's premature to block, given that consensus can conceivably change. —Bagumba (talk) 04:41, 12 October 2023 (UTC)

Hello

Bagumba, can you help me with your admin knowledge? The Edmonton Eskimos players category was renamed Category:Edmonton Elks players and all of the players were incorrectly moved over to the new Elks cat. There should be 3 categories: Eskimos players, Edmonton Football Team players, and Elks players. I think the best way to do this would be to reinstate the Eskimos cat and have a bot move everything in the Elks players cat to the Eskimos players cat. I will then type "Edmonton Elks" into the Wikipedia search bar to find the players that need manually moved from Eskimos to Elks. There can't be too many. The new name hasn't been around that long. Thoughts? WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 23:45, 16 October 2023 (UTC)

Same for the personnel and seasons cats. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 23:56, 16 October 2023 (UTC)
@WikiOriginal-9: I'm not too involved with categories. Per WP:CFDS:

If you belatedly notice and want to oppose a speedy move that has already been processed, contact one of the admins who process the Speedy page. If your objection seems valid, they may reverse the move, or start a full CFD discussion.

For reference, it seems the speedy renaming was accepted here. Best.—Bagumba (talk) 06:29, 17 October 2023 (UTC)

Delete redirect page to make way for move

Hey. Whai currently redirects to String figure. It's not entirely clear why. "Whai" is not noted/referenced/mentioned in that page. There is a New Zealand basketball club called Whai [1] and the page Bay of Plenty Stingrays needs to be moved as the team name is now Whai. Is there grounds to take over the redirect page or should I create Whai (basketball)? Thanks. DaHuzyBru (talk) 11:02, 20 October 2023 (UTC)

@DaHuzyBru: You can take over a page title if it's not the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC per WP:USURPTITLE. The current redirect says its a Māori term. As to whether such a redirect is meaningful, there's the essay Wikipedia:Redirects in languages other than English.—Bagumba (talk) 13:07, 20 October 2023 (UTC)

Invitation to Cornell study on Wikipedia discussions

Hello Bagumba,

I’m reaching out as part of a Cornell University academic study investigating the potential for user-facing tools to help improve discussion quality within Wikipedia discussion spaces (such as talk pages, noticeboards, etc.). We chose to reach out to you because you have been highly active on various discussion pages.

The study centers around a prototype tool, ConvoWizard, which is designed to warn Wikipedia editors when a discussion they are replying to is getting tense and at risk of derailing into personal attacks or incivility. More information about ConvoWizard and the study can be found at our research project page on meta-wiki.

If this sounds like it might be interesting to you, you can use this link to sign up and install ConvoWizard. Of course, if you are not interested, feel free to ignore this message.

If you have any questions or thoughts about the study, our team is happy to discuss! You may direct such comments to me or to my collaborator, Cristian_at_CornellNLP.

Thank you for your consideration.

Have a nice weekend!

Hi B-Goombah. Haven't darkened your door in some time, and I know you're thankful for that. Hope you're doing well. Remember, if you see something that you'd like me to do differently, just let me know. Sometimes I get ahead of myself. Stay well. -- John Bringingthewood (talk) 23:12, 6 October 2023 (UTC)

@Bringingthewood: Hi there. I've been a bit less active here for a few weeks. Since you ask, I had always intepreted Template:Infobox NFL biography's documentation for |image= and wikilinks to be related to Template:Infobox person's documentation saying to specify the image without without the File: or Image: prefix. I never thought it was referring to links in the caption description. Apparently, nobody has had an issue with your changes. Regards. —Bagumba (talk) 05:03, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
As long as you feel alright, that's the important thing. Actually, I saw two other editors doing it and started in. Someone actually asked me about it on my talk page, I explained it and they understood. Now you have me thinking, lol. If new pages are setup with the image and a link, it'll be another uphill battle anyway. Thanks for the response/input and hope to see you around again soon. P.S. I thought you weren't responding because of B-Goombah. Don't listen to some of those meanings out there .. it's not a derogatory reference. :) Regards. Bringingthewood (talk) 05:19, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
I'll continue here. I've been adding U.S. to some MLB players lately, asking Yankees10 first, and I see that almost every player has a nationality listed before 'former'. Not sure if you did them earlier. I'm thinking some of the negativity you're getting from the NFL side is due to American football being right there after it. Yes, the football link gets changed not to show it twice, but there are thousands of players and it may make someone revert it instead of jumping on board. Bottom line, I'd hate to see you flip out on someone once this goes too far. Then again, maybe you're not like me, lol. And yes, like in MLB, he's still an American. :) Bringingthewood (talk) 01:49, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
@Bringingthewood: Not me in baseball...or basketball or most other bios, athlete or not.—Bagumba (talk) 18:52, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
I'm giving you credit anyway. I do understand the grand scheme of things. You'll never catch me deleting it. Enjoy the rest of your week. Regards, John Bringingthewood (talk) 20:19, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
@Bringingthewood: I've probably added American to "is a former baseball player" here and there. Don't think "is a former American baseball player" is all too common. —Bagumba (talk) 07:23, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
Exactly the way you said it is what I see. Was or is an American former MLB pitcher.. Puerto Rican former etc. With football there's 'was an American .. 'American football' player. I guess it scares some. Baseball I find much easier. Basketball must be nice also. Bringingthewood (talk) 23:10, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
The edit on Colt McCoy's page may have been addressed by Dissident93 with -- WP:NFLINFOBOX. Something regarding proper noun or whatever. I dropped out of college so I can't argue. Just wanted to tell you about Mister Accolade. I believe All-American and All-Conference have lower case F's and S's. I remember this argument vividly and I'd like to see you avoid it if possible. Bringingthewood (talk) 23:14, 27 October 2023 (UTC)
@Bringingthewood Honestly didnt know it was a thing. So "First-team All-Pro" but "3x first-team All-Pro". LOL. Definitely havent seen it on the hoops side. Thanks for the heads up. —Bagumba (talk) 00:54, 28 October 2023 (UTC)
You're welcome and you could only imagine how loud my 'LOL' was. First it was explained as not a proper noun. Then I saw this last summer in the NFL infobox revision history -- (What to include: not a proper adjective) I think it's like, for example -- 'In Week 1', the 'w' being lower case .. or whatever stupid **** is being taught this week. By no means do I say that you shouldn't do it, it just might be reverted etc. Thank God it looks like Dissident93 and myself are getting along. Honestly, I'm still trying to figure out why Bears247 is trying to drive both myself and Yankees10 to commit suicide with these nonsensical workouts for a free agent!!! Bringingthewood (talk) 02:26, 28 October 2023 (UTC)
@Bringingthewood: From someone who invests too much time here, at the same time, I try not to take things too seriously here. As for FA magic numbers, there was no definitive agreement previously at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject National Football League/Archive 22 § Colin KaepernickBagumba (talk) 03:32, 28 October 2023 (UTC)
I hear you, one day I'll learn. That was a sin regarding no definitive agreement. I'll stop typing now. Btw, you have to look at the original topic for this message, I meant it then and I mean it now ... Have a nice weekend! Bringingthewood (talk) 03:50, 28 October 2023 (UTC)

November Articles for creation backlog drive

Hello Bagumba:

WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than 2 months outstanding reviews from the current 4+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 November 2023 through 30 November 2023.

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.

Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.

There is a backlog of over 1400 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 13:23, 31 October 2023 (UTC)

James Harden trade

Hi Bagumba! Thanks for letting me know about the reversal. I was concerned that someone had vandalised the page. I now have an official citation from the NBA at this link that confirms the trade: https://www.nba.com/news/sixers-trade-james-harden-clippers Awhellnawr123214 (talk) 20:49, 31 October 2023 (UTC)

@Awhellnawr123214: Thanks for the message. However, the link you provided is attributed to unnnamed sources: ...sources tell ESPN What is needed is a statement directly attributed to say a specific team source, or the involved team themselves. That typically won't have "report" in the headline. Admittedly, NBA.com just adds to the hype by pushing out these types of stories from "news services". Regards. —Bagumba (talk) 22:37, 31 October 2023 (UTC)

Date of birth in Early Life

Hello again. I've done several of these already, but it may tick somebody off. Is it correct to remove the date of birth from the Early Life section? It's in the lead already. I can see the place of birth being in that section, because we remove that from the lead. Honestly, I thought it would be a few, not the dozens I'm coming across. Thanks in advance. Bringingthewood (talk) 01:32, 22 October 2023 (UTC)

@Bringingthewood. Another weird one. MOS:BIRTHDATE says:

These dates (specific day–month–year) are important information about the subject, but if they are also mentioned in the body, the vital year range (in brackets after the person's full name) may be sufficient to provide context.

However, I've yet to see the lead sentence with only the years when the dates are in the body. So I consider the de facto practice to have the full dates in the lead, regardless if it's also in the body. I think it comes down to citing the dates. Apparently some (regulars) believe it looks clumsy to have the dates cited around the lead parentheticals (perhaps its a MOS:LEADCITE thing too???) and they repeat the birthdate with a citation in the body. I dont think anyone has an issues repeating death dates in lead and body. I'm not aware of anything else formal on this matter. —Bagumba (talk) 01:50, 22 October 2023 (UTC)
A lot to read again, lol. I guess I'll let them be. It's not me being a blank-buster, I actually checked L.T., Reggie White, J. J. Watt before doing what I did, and they had no date of birth mentioned twice. These are coming from an editor who created many pages and I didn't want to offend him, just clean it up. Do you think I was wrong with this edit? John Andrews. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! Exactly what I said, it was just reverted. So, it's his writing style and I'll obey! Bringingthewood (talk) 02:16, 22 October 2023 (UTC)
I think it's all settled now. As always, I thank you for the response/input and the info to read. Bye for now! Bringingthewood (talk) 03:10, 22 October 2023 (UTC)
@Bringingthewood re: "do you think I was wrong with this edit?", you were following WP:BRD, so I wouldn't worry. —Bagumba (talk) 04:04, 22 October 2023 (UTC)
Too late now, all are reverted (by the both of us). Didn't want him to think I was picking on just his pages, that's why I figured I should ask. Beanie is all for consensus, but I just squashed it. Guess my prosthetic leg to stand on will have to wait. All I was doing was going with the hundreds of players I saw not having it written three times. Oh well, I gave him my word on it. You may have gotten a ping regarding our conversation. My alert bell here always shows a '1', it can't be deleted, tried everything. Thank God your message just came over in red (even though it shows '2') Bringingthewood (talk) 04:17, 22 October 2023 (UTC)
@Bringingthewood: To clear the "1" or whatever number, click on the "Mark all is read". The thing is even for me, the next time a new notice comes in, it might show some old message as unread again too. Haha.—Bagumba (talk) 13:18, 22 October 2023 (UTC)
@Bringingthewood: In case you needed an example of other editors adding DOBs to "Early life", see here.—Bagumba (talk) 15:44, 5 November 2023 (UTC)
You really know how to pep me up on a Sunday, lol!! Small world, on that page on 10/30 you did this MOS:NICKNAMETHE. I swore I did that already. Sure enough, I did do it on 10/10. Nasty IP user!! Regarding the date of birth, I guess we have to drill it into the head of the reader when a player was born. But who am I? @@ Bringingthewood (talk) 20:37, 5 November 2023 (UTC)

Moving this message to the left. I did remove the X and none are present. I've been doing this for a year and a half now, but the other day I left and when I logged back in a few hours later .. it was your message from day earlier that showed up in red. Now it's a faded '1'. At least the message you recently sent showed '2' in red. I read it, deleted the X and it's back to a faded '1', lol. I'm used to petty bull**** like this anyway. Btw, I appreciate the thanks. I actually stuck with (nowrap) because of you. I'll carry the torch into hell if I have to!! :) Bringingthewood (talk) 21:54, 23 October 2023 (UTC)

Hello, B. Can you show me the road to take regarding this problem? I tried to guide this person not to do what they are doing. I explained myself already on his talk page, I'm not doing it anymore. Also, I started to revert. Can I continue what I'm doing without any problems? It's just regarding where to put the stat parameters. He seems to do a good job with a majority of the edit, but it looks like he would rather I correct the parts he refuses to listen to. I'm now reverting all that he does to get my damn point across. Any help is appreciated. Bringingthewood (talk) 02:15, 25 November 2023 (UTC)

As for Gilliam, maybe it's because I don't edit so much with stats, but what specifically is the dispute with that edit? —Bagumba (talk) 05:39, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
LOL, it's another day. More important is that you're enjoying yours, (excluding my ridiculous rants). It's a miracle, even if it's generally. If you check his talk page, I tried to send the template and add bits and pieces that just because you add stats, it doesn't mean throw them wherever you want. The next day I did more work. Maybe he's like Bears247, which is another chapter of this horror novel, Sandman seems to do a lot, so the little things shouldn't bother me. BUT, it does seem that he might notice that I go there every day and fix the little things. Unless someone is ten years old, it does get on my nerves, at least ask me first. He knows what he's doing on a whole, maybe he likes wine like I do and forgets, but it's not fair in the long run. P.S. Like my Pulp Fiction userbox states: I'm tryin' REAL HARD to be the shepherd. Bringingthewood (talk) 22:59, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
@Bringingthewood: Looking at the latest on your thread with them, my main takeaway is WP:AGF. Sometimes it can be real hard in the moment, but often it all makes sense in the end. Honestly, I wasn't too clear either initially on where your issue was with Gilliam. But now, I think it seems to be over the order of listing template parameters? Changing them are considered cosmetic edits—they don't affect what readers see. And then as the editor later said, they are using Visual Editor, where they don't directly control the actual underlying wikitext that the editor generates (in the page history, such edits are marked with a tag of "Visual edit"). So maybe we chalk this up as a misunderstanding, where the parties were both trying to improve Wikipedia, but saw things in a different way, eliciting a WTF in the momentary absence of AGF. Cheers. —Bagumba (talk) 01:46, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
Yes, it was parameter listing. I do know that's not what people see, but when I first met him I asked not to put them listed in a running sentence. How can you edit a mess like that? So he changed and put them at the bottom. I'm like, come on, just keep them like an editor sees them, and it helps all of us. I reverted what I did, I wasn't very diplomatic with my message yesterday. Today he seemed to come back at me pretty good, but I tried to squash it. I'll fix what he does if it needs fixing, I don't have much of a life anyway, lol. Bringingthewood (talk) 02:43, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
One more thing, sorry. I probably won't answer the 'high school' discussion deal that's going on over there. You remember the 'burn' message. Our friendship brought the use of nowrap, I leave a certain user alone with that. The abbreviation is another user. I know where you stand, and I think it's better for me to stop removing everything. I mean this with love, believe me, but unless someone is retarded, someone should not need a GPS to see where its location is (there's a link present for the school), especially if it's mentioned three times in the infobox. The college line was always nice and neat to look at, I think I make the high school line just as neat when the city and state is removed, where applicable. Just saying. Wow, I need a drink, lol. Bringingthewood (talk) 23:08, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
I think it's better for me to stop removing everything. @Bringingthewood: It depends on the amount of drama you're willing to potentially face for a given issue. WP:NFL has lots of different style chefs in the kitchen. You can lead by example with your edits, and maybe others just silently join, creating a snowball effect. Some others, maybe someone needs to take the initiative to start and moderate a discussion. And still other times, maybe just walk away, accepting whatever consensus is eventually formed (if any). There's enough to do on WP, and there's no requirement that any of us must solve all the stressful areas. —Bagumba (talk) 01:56, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
Oh I know what you're saying. You said it before, like the Be Bold situation. We may have gone over this very thing and I started to remove the city and state, looks neat and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to click a link and see where the school is. The snowball never got going with good people here. You yourself use nowrap, and when I would see Joe Blow high school located in Joe Blow, NY, I left it alone, being you're a friend. Then I remove it completely somewhere else and another person adds it. Removing it completely may be a bit harsh for Wikipedia. Honestly, I didn't mind removing a city and adding the abbreviation. At least 90% went away, lol. But I'm not complaining. You deal with American being removed and
being added, I know this. I'm just not the type that can do 50 things, hoping that only 35 are removed. Sometimes by giving a Be Bold option, it can turn into a Big Ego or Be Stupid, know what I mean? Bringingthewood (talk) 02:36, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
@Bringingthewood: Not to litigate the HS listing here, but just an FYI that MOS:STATEABBR discourages state codes in infoboxes. Do as you may... —Bagumba (talk) 02:50, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
I won't continue ... but, I seem to remember you stating that before. Not to poke the bear, but when American is removed in the lead, maybe a certain person should know about adding these state abbreviations. Now this situation annoys me. We both know who. I have no personal animosity towards anyone here, there are all kinds. I learned that from Answers.com. Maybe I did put Joe Burrow on IR a little early. I was in the mood to see a quick revert. Hee. Out of the blue

I have an idiotic question. Would you mind taking a look at my user page and tell me if you see four columns of userboxes? At your convenience. I only ask because if I'm here as an IP user, it shows three columns across and one underneath ... like a half-ass T. Another IP user said that also. But now I see four when logged in. Thanks in advance. Bringingthewood (talk) 03:22, 26 November 2023 (UTC)

@Bringingthewood: The complicated (of course) answer is I see 4 on laptop and 3 on tablet. I imagine it varies by screen size, and even skin preference setting if logged in. —Bagumba (talk) 04:40, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) It looks different on desktop vs mobile vs mobile but using desktop site and depending on what your preferences are. (I still use the 2010 layout) The screen isn't as wide on mobile, of course. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 04:52, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
Strange. You all must know by now that I understand nothing you're saying. Just wished that the fourth column shows the way I see it on my laptop when logged in. I use the same computer as an IP and it has the three and one underneath. Now all of Wikipedia can see my multiple personality. Thank you, Bagumba and sneaky stalker person. ;) Bringingthewood (talk) 06:11, 26 November 2023 (UTC)

Charlie Brown

Somewhat twenty or so players, you get a thank you. Bringingthewood (talk) 03:51, 2 December 2023 (UTC)

@Bringingthewood: Is that a blockhead reference? —Bagumba (talk) 04:31, 2 December 2023 (UTC)
LOL! Far from it! There's a blockhead alright, I'm looking at him in the mirror! Enjoy your Sunday. Bringingthewood (talk) 05:05, 3 December 2023 (UTC)

Nationality

What was the guideline that has the nationality removed in the infobox if the birth country is the same? Thanks. Rikster2 (talk) 13:01, 8 December 2023 (UTC)

@Rikster2: More or less MOS:INFONAT. Template:Infobox basketball biography also mentions it, along with a link to the related RfC. —Bagumba (talk) 16:33, 8 December 2023 (UTC)

Nbafan62 sockpuppet

Nbafan62 returned as NBAfan100 (talk · contribs) after you blocked NBAfan15 (talk · contribs) on December 6. – sbaio 16:20, 10 December 2023 (UTC)

@Sbaio: Agreed. Blocked. Thanks.—Bagumba (talk) 16:38, 10 December 2023 (UTC)

Justin Tatum

Hey. If you have time, would you be willing to check Newspapers.com for anything on Justin Tatum, father of Jayson Tatum. I just created the article and it was difficult to find out much about him related to Saint Louis University in late 1990s. Thanks in advance. DaHuzyBru (talk) 07:50, 21 December 2023 (UTC)

@DaHuzyBru: Their search feature isn't very good for filtering the major articles; there's lots of articles that drop his name in game recaps. So you need to be persistent, or know what specific event you're looking for when entering the search query. Not exhaustive, but after a few minutes I did find these two on his freshman eligibility: "Tatum's big lessons came on sideline"[2][3] "Tatum may seek another year at SLU"[4]
Also, note that all Wikipedia accounts are now able to access Newspapers.com w/o advance subscription. See Wikipedia:Newspapers.com. They're doing away with the annual subscription, though the new model has a few quirks if you need to a clip an article to put on WP for a citation (see Wikipedia talk:Newspapers.com). I still have an account from the old model, until it expires in a few months. —Bagumba (talk) 09:17, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
Thank you for the links, and thank you for the info. Appreciate it. DaHuzyBru (talk) 09:40, 21 December 2023 (UTC)

Question

Could you non-bureaucratically move Willie Gay (linebacker) back to Willie Gay please? I forgot the Steelers guy was just "William". ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 16:13, 29 December 2023 (UTC)

@WikiOriginal-9: Done, since it was a recent move. As it's only a cosmetic edit, I did not change any of the incoming links to Willie Gay (linebacker). —Bagumba (talk) 16:55, 29 December 2023 (UTC)

Happy 2024!!

Hello B. Wishing you and yours a wonderful 2024! Best regards, Bringingthewood (talk) 22:37, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
