SMOOTH 98.1FM moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, SMOOTH 98.1FM, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Iroro Tanshi, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Conservationist. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Information

[edit]

Please be mindful of Wikipedia's guideline covering linking. It's best practice to only link those terms that may offer utility for the reader. Additionally, maximum utility is normally achieved with linking the term once in any given article. Nothing is accomplished by linking commonly understood terms as you did here. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Gabriel Clement, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. A tag has been placed on Gabriel Clement Owoholeyi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Kindly review and give a response when you see this. Thanks

The welcome may be belated, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Akintundedaniel! I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may still benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome! ~ L 🌸 (talk) 03:00, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I also want to add -- when you are making book articles like Ties That Tether and The Sweetest Remedy, it's usually a good idea to link any professional reviews you can find (as opposed to blogs). For example, Kirkus, Publishers Weekly, and Booklist almost always have professional reviews of books. A book only needs two proper, professional reviews to "qualify" for a Wikipedia article (per WP:NBOOK), so if you link those in the article it makes it clear to everyone that the article should stay and be improved. Thanks again for your hard work and contributions! ~ L 🌸 (talk) 03:02, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks LEvalyn for the cookies
The examples for professional reviews is duly noted and i will do well to pay attention to that next time.
Do enjoy the rest of the day

Your submission at Articles for creation: Solomon Adaelu (December 13)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted because it included copyrighted content, which is not permitted on Wikipedia. Ibjaja055 (talk) 22:50, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Ibjaja
Information received, that was an oversight from me and won't happen again
Thank you for nudging me rightly. Will work on it much better later Akintundedaniel (talk) 06:16, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Solomon Adaelu requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.manpower.com.ng/people/16648/hon-solomon-adaelu. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 22:54, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed this appears to be part of a pattern. Copying copyright material must stop. Any further copyright violations will be treated as persistent, and administrators who specialise in copyright violation will handle the matter. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 23:13, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, @Timtrent
It was an oversight from me and i should have paid more attention to details.
I will work on it as notified
Thank you Akintundedaniel (talk) 06:17, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your answer. I need you to consider and recognise that copying and pasting from a source is not an oversight. It is indisputable violation of copyright. We may not copy material here to rephrase it. We must rephrase it without copying it and pasting it. We are speaking of multiple copyright 'oversights' here. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 07:47, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You need to understand that every copyright violation perpetrated by you creates work for at leat two other people:
  • The person who inspects it and asks for revision deletion
  • The administrator who performs the revision deletion
This is something you have stated as an oversight. I find this answer to be dissembling. " i should have paid more attention to details." is not an attractive answer. You copied and pasted the material on purpose, and more than once. Add to that "I will work on it as notified" and I feel that you have, somehow, not understood. There is nothing to "work on" there is just something not to do. I am as certain that you will be blocked if you do it again as I can possibly be. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 18:27, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Disqualification from African Legislators in Red Contest

[edit]

Hi Akintundedaniel, I regret to inform you that you have been disqualified from the African Legislators in Red contest. During the training sessions, I iterated and reiterated the rules, emphasising the following: "Non-compliance with any part of these rules, for any reason, will result in immediate and automatic disqualification from the contest."

Unfortunately, you did not adhere to the outlined instructions. More concerning is the addition of copyright violations to English Wikipedia, which is a severe breach of policy. English Wikipedia takes copyright violations and close paraphrasing very seriously, as outlined in copyright violations and close paraphrasing.

I encourage you to familiarise yourself with these policies to avoid such issues in the future. Thank you for your participation, and I hope you will take this as an opportunity to improve your contributions to Wikipedia.

Best regards, Vanderwaalforces (talk) 06:29, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Message acknowledged with thanks
Though I started working on another to meet up for the error which was an oversight from me and acknowledged
To an extent, I feel a warning after the first error would have been a good way to make me see my flaws and work on it but getting this disqualification halts my desire to take this up more rightly.
If that decision still stands, then it's all fine.
Thank you for the opportunity to contribute Akintundedaniel (talk) 06:38, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have covered your use of the term "oversight" in my message to you above. I endorse Vanderwaalforces's decision. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 07:51, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Akintundedaniel This should not be an excuse! I can still recall vividly that I sent a warning message to the support group (which I believe you should be) after rewriting one of your drafts Adewale Oluwatayo. I warned the editors of copyright violation and I used your article as a case study. Therefore, I endorse @Vanderwaalforces: decision and I hope you will reflect on copyright policies to avoid future occurrence. Ibjaja055 (talk) 08:45, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
