You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Baba Munkaila requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Kasuliyili requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Kasuliyili moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Kasuliyili, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Abdulai Abukari. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Liz Read! Your contributed article, New Patriotic Party (Ghana)

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, New Patriotic Party (Ghana). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – New Patriotic Party. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at New Patriotic Party. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Josey Wales Parley 11:44, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing hoaxes, such as Nana Tiriban, is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

Hi thanks for creating this article. When we translate or borrow from other language wikis it’s a requirement to acknowledge the source. Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. A page you created or have recently made significant changes to, Père-Aupiais Catholic College, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for pages, so it has been blanked and redirected. Three typical reasons for this are that: (1) the article's subject appears to fail our notability guidelines; (2) the article is unsourced; or (3) the sources used in the article are unreliable. The page's history is preserved and it is possible to restore the article: If you believe that this page should remain included on Wikipedia or that this action was taken in error, then you may revert the edit that blanked and redirected the page.

Your university articles

[edit]

Hello Achiri Bitamsimli, and thank you for your contributions. You've been contributing many articles on universities, apparently translated from French Wikipedia, but they have mostly been unreferenced. Different Wikipedias have different standards for referencing, so rather than translate the articles at speed, please, slow down, take your time, and focus on creating well referenced articles that won't simply get moved to draft. Thank you again, and happy editing! Wikishovel (talk) 05:11, 20 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Osvaldo Vaz moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Osvaldo Vaz, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing certain namespaces ((Article)) for disruptive publishing in mainspace.

Ca suffit--enough is enough. There's a page full of notifications about your articles being moved back into draft space because of, in most cases, insufficient citations, and I don't think you've ever responded to those concerns either by responding or by writing up articles that do have sufficient sourcing. Your recent history is full of such articles as well, articles that will likely all be moved into draft space. We want those articles, no doubt, but they need to meet our guidelines. That those may be different from the French Wikipedia is another matter. So, until you address those problems, in the practice of writing drafts as well as in communicating with your fellow editors (for whom you have created a LOT of work), you will not be able to edit in mainspace and will have to confine yourself to, and prove yourself in, draft space. Drmies (talk) 02:28, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you check all the articles that have been moved to draft, you will realize that they are all translated articles from French Wikipedia. I was thinking maybe they met the Wikipedia standard already, which is why they are allowed on the French Wikipedia space. It is not intentional to keep on publishing unsourced articles like that. I created not less than 150 articles within two months, and those that were moved to draft are not up to 10. So, if 150 articles are live standard articles, why can't you allow me to improve them later? Achiri Bitamsimli (talk) 00:22, 28 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Drmies (talk) 02:32, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I remember seeing a lot of articles translated from fr.wiki by this user when patrolling new pages. While I don't doubt his translation capabilities, the articles are often very promotional and non-neutrally written, and I've had to clean up or draftify a few of them (see history of National Institute of Posts and Telecommunications for an example).
I don't really know about French Wikipedia's guidelines on promotional wording – despite French being my own native language, I have very little experience with French Wikipedia – but I agree with Drmies that these articles don't meet the guidelines here.
I always find the translation of articles to be a positive thing, especially for matters relating to Francophone Africa where the English Wikipedia is lacking. Given this, I would recommend that Achiri familiarizes himself with English Wikipedia's sourcing and tone guidelines, and that the translated versions be workshopped in draftspace to meet our guidelines before being published. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 02:49, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Right, User:Chaotic Enby--as I said, we want these articles. No, I've translated a couple of articles from the French wiki and the sourcing is very often just really not up to snuff, and that's simply reflected in this editor's drafts. I am hoping they start talking and then we can put their skills and interest to good use. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 03:12, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I completely agree with you on this matter, and I also really hope to see him translating and improving the translated articles in draftspace, which would be a net positive for the encyclopedia. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 03:20, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I was thinking maybe they can be on the English Wikipedia too if they are accepted on the French Wikipedia. Once I'm translating an article from a different language, I have to maintain the original information without changing it. So, I will not be able to determine which article is promotional and which one is not because they were allowed on the French Wikipedia space. All the articles you are talking about were translated from French Wikipedia without changing the origional information. Achiri Bitamsimli (talk) 00:32, 28 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
French Wikipedia does not have the same standards as English Wikipedia, so the original article being allowed on the former doesn't mean its translation will be in the latter. Yes, you can translate the original articles to begin with, but that doesn't mean you cannot later improve them to make them more fit to our guidelines, for instance by rewording or removing promotional material, or sourcing unreferenced sections. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 03:08, 28 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Achiri, i hope you do not misunderstand the essence of this block. It will help you learn the ropes on English Wikipedia as every language Wikipedia all have their different guidelines for content inclusion (some do not even have). If you have specific questions about anything (just anything) please you can visit our Teahouse (yeah, the place is as cool as the name sounds) to get answers, answers to literally anything. A handful of editors were mentioned here, you can visit their talk page to ask them questions directly, but the teahouse is a best bet. Please take your time and learn the ropes, you’re obviously an important asset and we’d love to see you improve. Happy editing and regards, Vanderwaalforces (talk) 05:44, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:
