Steve Grand → ? – Must not be confused with the out musician. However, should the disambiguator be "(born 1958)" or "(computer scientist)" or something? George Ho (talk) 05:15, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak oppose the artificial intelligence scientist if dabbed would be Steve Grand (roboticist) but he is clear WP:PRIMARYTOPIC (only topic) in Google Books. Tempted to cite WP:RECENT and WP:CRYSTALBALL but then difficult to assess whether the Youtube viral celebrity has future lasting significance in reliable sources. George, what are page views? In ictu oculi (talk) 07:25, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - The only reason to do this would be if Steve Grand (musician) continues to be receive a substantially greater number of page view than Steve Grand (computer scientist). It looks like the computer scientist was receiving about 25 hits a day (prior to the musician's instafame, and the musician has been receiving around 1100 per day and declining. If the musician article is still receiving a high amount of traffic in 60-90 days, then I think it should be the primary subject and this article should be renamed Steve Grand (computer scientist) (or roboticist) per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. In other words, we would reverse the current hatnote disambiguation. A similar discussion here may be instructive. - MrX 13:50, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose as premature. The musician article is so new we can't even get good pageview readings on it. I'm not opposed in principle to declining or switching the primary topic, but this viral video star has to show a bit more enduring notability before we can really have that discussion. I think it's often wrong to cite WP:RECENTISM in move discussions, but in this case, it really is too early to deal with this. --BDD (talk) 21:40, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
