[edit]How is this article different from Mario Golf? Shawnc 08:49, 5 January 2006 (UTC)
- Mario Golf is now a series page. This is for the N64 version. I created a template to link all the games together. You caught me as I attempted to create all the pages. Hbdragon88 08:58, 5 January 2006 (UTC)
- I see. Since there is Mario Golf (Game Boy Color), an alternative name for this article could be Mario Golf (N64). Shawnc 09:22, 5 January 2006 (UTC)
- That's possible. I used the Wikipedia:Naming conventions (computer and video games) as a guide, which suggested using (video game) to disambiguate from the series page. Or I could have just made a Mario Golf series page. Hbdragon88 18:28, 5 January 2006 (UTC)
Character Guide
[edit]No offense, but the Characters part of the article is not good, I want to change it so each characters names are there and how to get them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.142.130.23 (talk) 18:45, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
Motoi Sakuraba
[edit]Did he compose the soundtrack? That would be good to be included, and was wondering why no directors were mentioned in the Infobox either. (I don't know the order in which the "composer(s)" field would belong in the Infobox; otherwise I would contribute.) Thanks. 24.10.181.254 (talk) 02:06, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Unneeded info in picture?
[edit]The screenshot picture in the article states "Mario Golf was the first golf game in the Mario series to use 3D computer graphics". Wasn't Mario Golf the first golf game in the Mario series, period? If so, this is a potentially unneeded statement that perhaps should be revised or removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Trent021 (talk • contribs) 00:46, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
Composer
[edit]Motoi Sakuraba composed the music for this game according to his article. I, like another previous editor, want him mentioned in the Infobox. I don't mess with Infoboxes, because I know I'll mess it up. Could someone please give "credit where credit is due"? Thanks. 67.182.237.57 (talk) 23:18, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
Requested move 5 July 2022
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: not moved. Consensus is that there is no problem with the title of this page, but rather issues with the targeted redirect that are better dealt with outside the RM process. Mario Golf (video game) → Mario Golf – Mario Golf was originally a page for the franchise, which has long since been redirected to List of Mario sports games. If there was still an article for the series, it should probably be at Mario Golf (series) anyway. (Oinkers42) (talk) 21:25, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose Mario Golf is tagged as a redirect with possibilities and needs a series page. It only got redirected because it was a sub-stub. I suggest expanding it and recreating the page instead. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 10:25, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose per Zxcvbnm's rationale. I agree with the notion that a series page ought to be recreated at this point on account of how much Golf titles there are now. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 17:55, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
- Comment - I forgot to mention that this is in order to match Mario Tennis. (Oinkers42) (talk) 21:08, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
- Again, Mario Tennis could have a series page if someone was willing to recreate and expand it so it can pass WP:GNG. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 23:09, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
- Perhaps disambiguate the base title to Mario Golf (series) over the other redirect. Crouch, Swale (talk) 07:29, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
