Destination move of the WP:TRUMP shortcut

[edit]

My redirect was bold, intended to save time by not having a lengthy discussion. It can be easily reverted, the subsequent edits can be found here: Wikipedia talk:Not every single thing Donald Trump does deserves an article#Destination move of the WP:TRUMP shortcut Svampesky (talk) 17:54, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've reverted the bold change, mainly because I think the WikiProject is a more appropriate target and also because in general changing shortcuts carries a risk of breaking old edit summaries even if we go through and change talk pages. There is already a more specific redirect for the essay, WP:TRUMPNOT. If we want to discuss this further, WP:RFD is probably the right venue. —Mx. I just created Draft:DJT coin. It may be of interest to members of this project. Thriley (talk) 02:52, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Task force

[edit]
Resolved

@ElijahPepe: I have redirected Wikipedia:WikiProject United States Presidents/Donald Trump task force to here for now. If we're going to have a task force or WikiProject, then I would ask that we move this page to Wikipedia:WikiProject United States Presidents/Donald Trump task force. We already have a page history and list of participants, no need to start from scratch. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:26, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@ToadetteEdit: You closed Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:WikiProject Kamala Harris. Would you be open to restoring this version of the WikiProject and moving to Wikipedia:WikiProject United States Presidents/Donald Trump task force? ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:32, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. I've restored the version of the Wikiproject but it will take a long time to move it to the requested title since the redirect has to be deleted to make way for move. ToadetteEdit (talk) 16:35, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I've submitted a technical move request if that's helpful. Thanks! ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:38, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So the G6 nomination be cancelled? ToadetteEdit (talk) 16:43, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh! Sorry, I didn't realize and I'm not sure which is preferred. I'm fine with leaving both and seeing which is addressed first. I've already started updating the project page but of course more changes are needed so hopefully other participants will help out. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:45, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Amakuru: Thanks for your help! @ToadetteEdit I think we can consider this resolved. ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:32, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Another Believer: Template:Presidency of Donald Trump was split out into Template:First presidency of Donald Trump and Template:Second presidency of Donald Trump after his victory. Is there a way to automatically change the current references to use the former? elijahpepe@wikipedia (he/him) 03:13, 17 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
