There were 877 insertions and 318 removals of articles on the Index of Singapore-related articles. This however include possible pagemoves or articles being reinserted for various reasons.

Better references needed for Loke Yew
we need pre-2008 references for Loke Yew, especially for the name. currently his birth name as "Wong Loke Yew" is based on 2007 news article by "the star" https://web.archive.org/web/20110521065828/http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=%2F2007%2F6%2F2%2Fcentral%2F17821154&sec=central . books with some authority would be better.
i cannot find any references for the alleged kanji birth name, which was added by User:Marcuslim: special:diff/200450000. RZuo (talk) 18:51, 8 January 2023 (UTC)

Discussion on disallowing use of the ʻokina in Chinese romanized article titles
There is currently a discussion that may interest you. Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style#Disallowing use of the ʻokina in Chinese romanized article titles proposes that the ʻokina gennerally be prohibited from article titles derived from Chinese whenever it does not adhere to the English Wikipedia policy to use commonly recognizable names. Plese join the discussion. Thank you. Peaceray (talk) 17:12, 25 March 2023 (UTC)

Project-independent quality assessments
Quality assessments by Wikipedia editors rate articles in terms of completeness, organization, prose quality, sourcing, etc. Most wikiprojects follow the general guidelines at Wikipedia:Content assessment, but some have specialized assessment guidelines. A recent Village pump proposal was approved and has been implemented to add a |class=
parameter to {{WikiProject banner shell}}, which can display a general quality assessment for an article, and to let project banner templates "inherit" this assessment.
No action is required if your wikiproject follows the standard assessment approach. Over time, quality assessments will be migrated up to {{WikiProject banner shell}}, and your project banner will automatically "inherit" any changes to the general assessments for the purpose of assigning categories.
However, if your project has decided to "opt out" and follow a non-standard quality assessment approach, all you have to do is modify your wikiproject banner template to pass {{WPBannerMeta}} a new |QUALITY_CRITERIA=custom
parameter. If this is done, changes to the general quality assessment will be ignored, and your project-level assessment will be displayed and used to create categories, as at present. Aymatth2 (talk) 14:10, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
Star Awards 2023 requires some cleanup
Hello there if you reading this,
I came here by far want to as a request to improve the article because what I noticed that the quality of the article does not match some editing standards for some television and award ceremonies. Need attention to this. Thank you. 203.118.14.120 (talk) 11:04, 31 March 2023 (UTC)
- I writing to the attention for the admins, specifically @Justanothersgwikieditor @Robertsky and its article creator, @Unknown152438. 203.118.14.120 (talk) 09:56, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
- May I know what is your standards for the Television Awards? Because Star Awards 2023 has its whole format changed and added some new awards, and also the event has been separated into three different ceremonies. How would you like to improve that if you are the editor? (Unknown152438 (talk) 10:10, 1 April 2023 (UTC))
- Some of the separation are inappropriate also, with all the Best Programme Awards presented first which is unusual. (Unknown152438 (talk) 10:12, 1 April 2023 (UTC))
- Please leave any comments on the Star Awards 2023 talk page if you have any improvements. (Unknown152438 (talk) 10:29, 1 April 2023 (UTC))
- I added some comments on MOS and layout on Talk:Star Awards instead as any MOS and layout should apply evenly to all Star Awards article, not just for one iteration. Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 02:07, 3 April 2023 (UTC)
- The edits you had done were to add in winners for 2023 awards which were done:
- without sources
- ahead of the televised show, which is televised live on 9 April.
- Either you have the results to the awards and are leaking the results or you are trolling.
- Diffs of my reverts in question: Star Awards for Best Variety Programme, Star Awards for Best Info-Ed Programme, Star Awards for Best Variety Special, Star Awards for Best Theme Song, Star Awwards for Best Drama Serial
- – robertsky (talk) 11:24, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
- Star Awards 2023 Gala Night has been announced prior to the main event with all the Best Programme Awards presented first. (Unknown152438 (talk) 13:23, 1 April 2023 (UTC))
- Do refer to the sourced Mediacorp Facebook Page, and the image beside as proof. (Unknown152438 (talk) 13:24, 1 April 2023 (UTC))
- Please read this text:
- Star Awards Industry Achievement Awards, also known as Star Awards 2023 - Gala Night has held at JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach on 30 March 2023, 8pm with all the Best Programme Awards presented first, via social media. The ceremony is hosted by Hazelle Teo and Dennis Chew. Unknown152438 (talk) 13:25, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah, I just found other sources. Apologies for assuming that it was a leak or troll. – robertsky (talk) 13:33, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, do note that any unreferenced content can be removed by any editor. It is up to the editor who inserted content to provide the reference at the earliest opportunity. Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 13:35, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Robertsky@DerricktanJCW and any other editors, appreciate if you have any comments or suggestions on some simple guidelines on layout of Star Awards articles over at Talk:Star Awards. Thanks. Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 02:00, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

Upcoming split of Index of Singapore-related articles
This is to give everyone here a heads up that the Index of Singapore-related articles will be split in the near future as its current size is at 370KB. MOS guidelines recommends splitting at 400KB. I intend to arbitrarily split somewhere at the current half-way point of the 12000+ links, adjusting for the start/end of the first alphabet of that article. Do let me know if there's any other suggestions. The new titles would be: Index of Singapore-related articles: (0–<alphabet>) and Index of Singapore-related articles: <alphabet+1>–Z Unless there is similar explosive growth in new pages we saw between 2019 and 2020, net increase of 50KB, this split will likely last for at least the next five years. – robertsky (talk) 14:04, 6 June 2023 (UTC)
- If anyone want to create a mini explosion growth again, here is a possible list of articles to create~! Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 04:17, 7 June 2023 (UTC)

S. Iswaran & Ong Beng Seng assisting CPIB
After coming across Ridout Road rentals, I do think an article that goes into detail about the alleged corruption case surrounding S. Iswaran and Ong Beng Seng should also be created. In fact, S. Iswaran actually getting arrested makes it much more noteworthy. MordukhovichAleakin (talk) 17:51, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
Credibility bot
As this is a highly active WikiProject, I would like to introduce you to Credibility bot. This is a bot that makes it easier to track source usage across articles through automated reports and alerts. We piloted this approach at Wikipedia:Vaccine safety and we want to offer it to any subject area or domain. We need your support to demonstrate demand for this toolkit. If you have a desire for this functionality, or would like to leave other feedback, please endorse the tool or comment at WP:CREDBOT. Thanks! Harej (talk) 17:50, 5 August 2023 (UTC)
- On the assumption that the bot scanned through all the tagged WikiprojectSG articles and reports all the sources used, I think this will be a good tool to clean up articles using dubious / poor sources in articles. Hopefully when cleaning up the sources, editors can find better sources for the articles and subsequently improved on it.
- I am tentatively giving my support on this. Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 05:08, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
The mandate for the ESEAP Hub Interim Committee was not extended. After a discussion during the ESEAP Strategy Summit at Wikimania, the seating arrangement for the Preparatory Council has been extended to include community and individual contributors on top of the original affiliate seatings. The council will determine the operational procedures and processes among other administrative matters for the Hub when it officially launches.
For more information see ESEAP Preparatory Council/Process.
Nominations has to be turned in by 19 August 2023. As this is a short notice, I seek your understanding to participate without delay at meta:Talk:Wikimedians_of_Singapore_User_Group#ESEAP_Preparatory_Council_nomination. – robertsky (talk) 08:15, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

Grnrchst (talk) 13:43, 21 September 2023 (UTC)Article for 2023 $2.8 billion money laundering case
Either I can't find it, or Wikipedia doesn't have an article on the S$2.8 billion money laundering case in Singapore uncovered in 2023. Given it's notability (mentioned often in the local media and possibly globally as well), Wikipedia should definitely cover it. Mount2010 (talk) 06:22, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
