I have held a Wikipedia account for a few years now, and I self-identify as a wiki-gnome. I routinely visit mostly pop culture pages, which are of course prone to attack and misinformation. I try to clean up articles and present them in more concise form whenever possible, and have read the needed guidelines and content policies thoroughly. Any tool which is needed to revert vandalism or unnecessary nonsense is a must, as there are far more IP's than users here so it is hard to keep track of everything. Therefore I humbly ask for permission to make mine and everyone else's lives easier, though I will understand if I am rejected. JTBX (talk) 08:27, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi. I've been editing/writing original content for the past 16 months with 1300+ edits. I have 4 decent original articles that I wrote (please see my main page for titles), as well as about 1/2 dozen other articles that I completely rewrote. I was never punished for provoking an edit war, abusing another editor, reverting someone more than once without consensus or causing problems despite daily edits regarding controversial topics. I have an IP block exemption for over 1 year, and it was never abused, and i also have rollback privilege. I look for consensus, compromise and stay away from articles where I know my POV may cloud my judgment. I currently review articles for GA with no complaints. In conclusion, I am a trustworthy person who is serious about quality articles, research, references and content. Meishern (talk) 00:52, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

I've been editing Wikipedia, largely tidyup, copyediting, and anti-vandalism - including recent-changes patrolling and running a recent changes-based bot, for some years. I'd like to think I've made relatively few screwups, and fixed things and dealt well with other users when I have. Pseudomonas(talk) 00:19, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

I think this is a great idea and would like to get involved! Everyone should be able to edit any article, including anonymous and newly registered editors; but at the same time we need to prevent vandalism, BLP and copyright violations. This reviewing process seems to be a nice compromise. I would be more than happy to devote time to this project because it will help increase the inclusiveness of Wikipedia. I believe I'm suitable because I'm an active editor and article creator having made 1,400 edits and helped create 35 new articles. I often devote time to vandal fighting, and have been granted rollback. Fly by Night (talk) 15:49, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

Have contributed to Wikipedia for many years, a lot of it unrecorded because of the constant need to change log in, as I contribute in English and Portugues (but have made corrections to Afrikaans and Spanish WP). Since the advent of the universal login for the entire WP, most of my work is logged. I contribute mostly on Africa, Portugal and Brazil, history, health and plants.

This is mainly so I can be involved in the pending changes process. I have experience as an editor (my current account is a continuation of a previous one —— look on my profile) and know very well what is vandalism or otherwise an incongruous edit. I do not intend to be a reviewer for GA or FA, because that takes massive amount of time. For my contributions with old account, see this, although I would like to leave traces of my old SN and my past behind me as much as I can. I will admit that my discussion temperature has been above 35 C recently but this should hopefully not affect the outcome. And Taivo, if you come in here simply to bunk me off, I shall report you for clear harassment at once. 何献龙4993 (talk) 21:33, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

Question: Do we have to be familiar with all Wikipedia policy, or can we just revert blatant vandalism as we would with WP:Rollback?
Limideen 14:00, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
You need to be familiar with all of the basic Wikipedia content policies and guidelines (WP:BLP, WP:VANDALISM, WP:NPOV, etc.); see Wikipedia:Reviewing for more information. Seeing as you have two years of experience, 2000+ edits, and rollbacker rights, you're more than qualified for reviwer rights. Consider this request  Done.
