Conservapedia
[edit]Um... I can't contact you on Conservapedia. My account "Sanity" got banned for being a "sock" of Icewedge. Icewedge is indeed the signature of a group of four individual people from my high school. I couldn't figure out how to verify this on the site. Please unblock the account, as it was blocked on false, though understandable pretences. ~Icewedge
I apologize for putting you in a bad spot at Conservapedia, I didn't mean to get you sucked into my ban. But my personal martyrdom wouldn't have been complete with out it. Good luck, I don't envy you the job you have set for yourself. Tmtoulouse 06:58, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
- Try not to get drawn into battles there. Email me, or visit IRC channel #conservapedia if you need help. --Uncle Ed 20:08, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
Hey Hoji! Thanks for writing me a nice welcome message. I couldn't take that place anymore, and I blocked it in my HOSTS file to prevent the temptation. Possibly a little rough, but I kind of think that Conservapedia may be like the Bismarck right about after its rudder got shot out - it's gonna sink, but no one knows when or how soon. Infer any other parallels as you see fit.-AmesG 23:02, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
Idols are a fickle thing! But I understand. Tmtoulouse 03:10, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
Er...I don't know if it's out of line to approach you on your talk page like this, but I've been following your (the inclusive your) adventures at the other place for some time now, and learning a lot via your rebuttals and attempts to introduce fact and reason. To say nothing of the sheer entertainment value. But the reason I'm writing here is that I believe I've pieced together a theory regarding the site, if you're interested. Please let me know. Kelseigh 01:32, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for your help but I've been banned. Good luck over there. I was talking to my pastor and he said to me it was a silly idea anyhow. Maybe. Keep on trying to be fair to all points of view, and hope you don't get banned yourself. Chris Wilson--70.85.8.130 05:39, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
Okay now you're just being stupid. You banned my account "Helios." The reason stated was "He's the vandalmaster!" WTF?! I have never vandalized a Wiki. Please rethink your evidence or complete lack thereof, the latter of which I find more plausible. Also note that Icewedge can't spell ;)

[edit]As someone I've seen hanging round on CP (I'm there too, but under a different name, and not much these days as I'm fed up with my every edit being reverted as "liberal vandalism"), do you think it would be worth asking AS for sources providing we solemnly swear to keep it neutral, or would that cause more problems than it solves? My real trouble in expanding this isn't in finding sources, but in finding sources that aren't variations on "hey, look at this right-wing loon". As you know, he does have non-crazy supporters but for some reason only the "George Bush was sent by God to save the nation" (a genuine Aschlafly addition to GWB's CP page) faction get any coverage — iridescenti (talk to me!) 16:56, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi, I'm a user on CP too (Middle Man) and I got blocked for two tiny, not even offensive to creationists, edits on the atheist and secular science articles, User Conservative blocked me "with an expiry time of infinite" for this, while even Andy wouldn't block someone for this.
The words "User:Conservative" practically make up half of the block log on CP and you were able to bail AmesG out (while it lasted).
So, is there a chance you can get me out on probation?
Thank you for reading this,

CP block
[edit]WillyOnWheels has been blocked on CP by you, which is odd, because there's nothing in the contribs that would suggest that this is necessary. I know that username has been used for sockpuppetry on WP, but a shoot on sight treatment in CP seems a little harsh. Just want to know your thoughts. Dibo T | C 03:45, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hello? Anyone there? Dibo T | C 22:48, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, didn't see you there.
- I blocked him because he chose the name of a known troublemaker and vandal (indeed, there was a "WillyOnWheels2" on Conservapedia only a few days before him), and nobody with good intentions would pick such an inflammatory name. --Hojimachongtalk 23:40, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
- And yet, from the contribs I can see no reason to block. Is there a place in CP policy that can be referred to in order to justify the block? Or is simply choosing a cheeky name sufficient for a block on sight approach? Dibo T | C 03:21, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
- I think the policy you would be looking for is common sense. He should've been blocked, just as somebody who created an account with a name rife with obscenties (say, "Yo Muthafucka") should be blocked. --Hojimachongtalk 00:02, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
- And yet, from the contribs I can see no reason to block. Is there a place in CP policy that can be referred to in order to justify the block? Or is simply choosing a cheeky name sufficient for a block on sight approach? Dibo T | C 03:21, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Meadowdalehs.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. - I'm fairly sure that the screenshots themselves tell the full story. Those are screenshots of one conversation I had with TK, sometime in September. I posted them at CP in November, and was promptly banned for doing so (by none other than TK himself). I was also accused of being a liar and fabricator. Fortunately, even someone as dense as Andy saw through the ruse and blocked TK, though I was never apologized to or recognized for exposing that scum for what he was. You could come to the RW IRC channel (freenode, #rationalwiki) and converse with us all. --Hojimachongtalk 00:53, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Motto of the day
[edit]Hello, I notice you're using one of the {{motd}} templates, run by Wikipedia:Motto of the day. You may have noticed that some of the mottos recently have been followed by a date from 2006, or on occasion simply "Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia". The reason for this is that Motto of the day is in some very serious need of help. Participation in the project, which has never been especially high, has dropped considerably over this past summer, to the point we have had several days where no motto was scheduled to appear at all. Over the past several weeks, I've been the only editor scheduling mottos at all, but there aren't enough comments on some of these mottos to justify their use. If we do not get some help - and soon - your daily mottos will stop. In order for us to continue updating these templates for you, we need your help.
When you get a chance between your normal editing, could you stop by our nominations page and leave a few comments on some of the mottos there, especially those that do not have any comments yet? This works very simply; you read a motto, decide whether or not you like it, and post your opinion just below the motto. That's it - no experience required, just an idea of what you personally like and what you feel reflects Wikipedia and its community. If you do have past experience with the project, then please close some of the older nominations once they've got a decent consensus going. There are directions on the nominations page on how to do this.
If you have any questions, please let me know, or post on the project's talk page. I'm looking forward to reading your comments on the suggested mottos, and any additional suggestions you'd like to make. Until then, happy editing! Hersfold (t/a/c) 01:51, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
CSD tagging
[edit]Hi, Hojimachong. You had placed a G4 tag on Caleb Bollenbacher, which I just deleted. I wanted to remind you that G4 only applies to articles that were deleted through AfD. Articles that have been speedied or prodded previously are exempt from G4. Anyways, there's no real problem since we achieved the correct result (the page being deleted); I just wanted to let you know that you had placed an incorrect speedy tag on the article. Regards, Parsecboy (talk) 06:12, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the notification, Parsecboy. I assume that the correct template to use would be the same one as the last time the page was deleted (in this case, A7:Unremarkable person)? --Hojimachongtalk 06:41, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit]I like an explanation of why this post was deleted. Everything in this post was factual. There were no marketing or promotional elements to it. I did not write "This service is great, buy it!". [edit]it is my very intelligent belief that the deletion of the page John Keher was ridiculous. according the the message sent to me, the page was deleted due to being about a person or people that do not have signs of deserving a wikipedia page. well, as you could clearly have seen in the article, John Keher is a very accomplished individual who certainly warranted a wikipedia page. the speedy deletion of the page stopped my progressing the page and putting more notable achievements such as volunteer work on the page. i request that you allow the page to remain on the site for another week or so to allow for the improvement of the article. Sorry to bother you, but i would like to write a new, standard conform, article about the Kleinmann Family Foundation. I didn"t write the last one but I know that it was not that good, missed links and references.
But a lot of people, who are interested in our programs, asked us already why they can't find us on Wikipedia, the world's biggest Encyclopedia. An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wikipedia (4th nomination). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:11, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

Reviewer
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. -FASTILY (TALK) 00:55, 20 August 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Club Adkins
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Mhiji 22:40, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
The article Grynch has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. andy (talk) 22:52, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. You are being contacted because you may qualify as an inactive user of AWB. First, if you have any input on the proposed bot task, please feel free to comment at the BRFA. Should the bot task be approved, your access to AWB may be uncontroversially removed if you do not resume editing within a week's time. This is purely for routine maintenance of the CheckPage, and is not indicative of wrongdoing on your part. You will be able regain access at any time by simply requesting it at WP:PERM/AWB. Thank you! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 23:36, 8 November 2016 (UTC)

Better source request for File:MeadowdaleHighSchoolAerial.jpg
[edit]Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:
You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain, search engine, pinboard, aggregator, or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 19:44, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
